Abstract

ADHD children have problems with impulsive behavior, namely snatching and taking other people's things without permission. This makes it difficult for children to adapt to their environment, making it difficult to make friends. So this impulsive behavior must be reduced. This research intervention uses the TEGAR (Teguran and Positive Reinforcement) technique. This research aims to reduce the impulsive behavior of children with ADHD. The application of the TEGAR technique (Teguran and Positive Reinforcement) is a combination of Reprimand and Positive Reinforcement techniques, where children are given a warning when they show impulsive behavior. After the child displays the desired behavior, the child is immediately given Positive Reinforcement in the form of praise. The research method used was quasi-experimental with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The research subjects were 6 children with ADHD. The research used a pretest scale before being given treatment and a protest scale after being given treatment which was tested using IBM SPSS 26.0 for Windows non-parametric method with the Wilcoxon test. The test results showed that there was a change in behavior before and after being given treatment using the TEGAR technique (Teguran and Positive Reinforcement) but it was not significant (Z = -1.261, p = 0.207 (p < 0.05)). So it can be concluded that the application of the TEGAR (Teguran and Positive Reinforcement) technique can reduce impulsive behavior in children with ADHD.

Abstract

Everyone has different abilities and levels of intelligence, including children with learning difficulties such as dyslexia. Dyslexia is a neurological brain disorder that affects reading and writing skills, rather than being the result of poor learning. It involves challenges in information processing in the brain, so dyslexic children often have difficulty reading words quickly and accurately. This research aims to analyze the treatment of learning disorders of dyslexic children through the spelling method. The methodology used in this research involves a qualitative approach using case studies. The data collection techniques used were observation, interview and documentation. The observation and interview techniques used question guidelines that had been prepared, while documentation was carried out with data analysis techniques which included data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study show that the spelling method is an effective teaching technique for children with dyslexia. This method involves phonetic understanding, phonological awareness, as well as a consistent and collaborative multi-sensory approach between schools and parents. The studied child showed significant improvement in reading ability after the application of this method, through repeated practice and periodic evaluation that ensures effectiveness and supports the achievement of the child's academic potential.

Abstract

This research aims to develop the visual spatial intelligence of early childhood through interactive multimedia based on educational games at RA Muslimat NU Rowolaku, Kajen District. Visual spatial intelligence is essential in supporting a child's ability to understand shapes, colors, and spaces, which has a significant impact on their cognitive development. This research method is qualitative with a descriptive approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed to see the impact of educational games on children's visual spatial abilities. The results of the study show that the use of interactive multimedia based on educational games effectively improves the visual spatial skills of early childhood. This is reflected in the improvement of children's ability to recognize shapes, arrange patterns, and improve skills in solving space-based problems. Educational games provide a more fun and interesting learning experience, so that they can motivate children to learn more creatively and interactively. Thus, interactive multimedia based on educational games can be an effective alternative method in the learning process in early childhood education institutions.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the challenges faced by teachers in developing children's language skills and to explore the efforts made to overcome these obstacles through adaptive teaching methods. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through observations, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. The research participants included teachers, parents, and students at TK An-Nur, Kerinci Regency, representing the learning ecosystem. Data analysis employed the flow model analysis, consisting of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that the main barriers to children's language development include limited instructional time, lack of resources, variation in children's language abilities, and minimal parental support. These factors significantly affect children's language development and require specific strategies to create a more effective learning environment.

Abstract

The presence of male teachers in early childhood education (ECE) remains very limited due to strong gender stereotypes in society. This study aims to explore students’ perceptions of the roles, challenges, and contributions of male teachers in early childhood education. Using a qualitative approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews and focus group discussions (FGDs) involving Master's students in ECE. The findings indicate that male teachers are not merely complementary figures, but essential elements in creating a diverse and inclusive educational environment. They contribute to fostering discipline, responsibility, and serve as positive role models, especially for children who need a male figure. However, their presence often faces challenges such as social stigma and lack of community support. This study highlights the need for policies that support increasing the number of male teachers in ECE to promote a more inclusive and gender-equitable education system.

Abstract

The phenomenon of violence and decreased social sensitivity in children in the modern era is a serious problem that requires an educational approach from an early age. This study aims to analyze the potential of the Prophet Muhammad's stories as a medium in developing social sensitivity in early childhood and to design the basis for developing an applicable character learning model. Using the literature study method, this research analyzes three main stories: the Prophet's interaction with Abu Umair and his pet bird, his silent help to a Jewish beggar who was hostile to him, and his patient attitude towards a neighbor who often hurt him. The three stories reflect universal values such as empathy, patience, tolerance, consistency in doing good, and the ability to repay bad with good. These values are considered very relevant for children's character building and can be implemented in an integrated manner through the involvement of teachers, parents and the surrounding environment. The results show that the Prophet's story not only functions as a means of conveying moral messages, but also has transformative power in shaping children's social sensitivity in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

This study aims to explore and enhance the creativity of 4-5-year-old children in drawing through a simple drawing technique using numbers at RA Muslimat NU Darul Ulum Ngembes. By utilizing numbers as a base, children are encouraged to develop their imagination into various forms of drawings. This research employs a descriptive method to illustrate the process and outcomes of applying this technique to Group A children. The data instruments and analysis techniques used help in understanding the extent to which drawing from numbers can foster early childhood creativity. The findings indicate that young children can easily transform numbers into creative drawing objects, significantly contributing to the development of their creative abilities. The results also show that this approach not only improves children's fine motor skills but also builds their confidence in expressing ideas visually. This study provides valuable insights for educators in employing simple yet effective approaches to stimulate creativity in early childhood, and highlights the importance of innovative learning methods in early education settings.

Abstract

Childhood is a golden period to stimulate cognitive abilities, including the introduction of geometry that can help children understand shape, space and spatial. This ability is a strong foundation for learning math at the next level. This study aims to improve children's cognitive abilities in recognizing geometry through the use of matific platform. This research is a classroom action research conducted in one of the TX in the district/ city of Sumedang, with a total of 10 children. The research process was carried out in three cycles. The results showed an increase in children's cognitive abilities after doing play activities with the matific platform. The average percentage results in action I amounted to 25.2% with less criteria, action II amounted to 52.4% with good criteria, and action III amounted to 78.8% with very good criteria. The results of the increase are also reinforced by using the N-gain formula which produces a value of 0.716 which is included in the high category. Based on the results of the calculation, it can be concluded that playing activities using matific platform can improve cognitive abilities of early childhood in recognizing geometry.

Abstract

Flashcard media is a learning medium designed to optimize early childhood learning experiences through multisensory stimulation. This study aims to determine the use of flashcard media to improve the cognitive abilities of early childhood-aged children (5-6 years) in Kober Kenanga and to assess the extent of the impact of using flashcard media on the development of cognitive abilities in early childhood-aged children (5-6 years) in Kober Kenanga. The method employed in this study is qualitative under a phenomenological approach. The method used in this study is a qualitative approach with a phenomenological approach. In this study, the researchers act as the teacher assisted by other two teachers to conduct the learning on 15 early childhoods aged 5-6 years who are selected as the population and sample in this study. The results show that the use of flashcard media occurs well, at which 11 early childhoods (73.3%) are able to remember, understand, and match the alphabet A-Z, with the criteria developing of according to expectations (BSH). Meanwhile, the rest of the 4 early childhoods (26.7%) are still experiencing obstacles, with the criteria not yet developing (BB). Furthermore, when the use of flashcard media is combined with the singing method and the drilling technique, the results show that the entire 15 early childhoods (100%) can remember, understand, and match the letters of the alphabet A with the available symbols and images, with the criteria of developing very well (BSB).

Abstract

Innovating in education is essential, as educational management innovation plays a crucial role in enhancing the quality of learning and the efficiency of managing early childhood education facilities, as demonstrated in early childhood education at RA Aisyiyah Sidoharjo. This case study allows us to transform the nature of innovation in education, innovation in extracurricular activities, and innovation in implementing work programs. This qualitative study featuring a case analysis necessitates data-gathering methods that include detailed observation, discussions with the RA leader and the teaching board, and documentary proof. The gathered data is subsequently examined through data reduction, data visualization, and conclusion. The study’s results indicate that the effective implementation of technology for fostering innovation in learning and enhancing branding institutions through social media tools has been achieved. The execution of a project-based curriculum has not been fully optimized, but it benefits from numerous extracurricular programs that enhance students’ skills and creativity through activities like reading and writing, drum bands, mini Reyog, dancing, and Quran recitation, all of which are carried out very effectively. Through this joint innovation, it can enhance education and health initiatives, boost the competitiveness of organizations, and elevate the quality of institutions.
