Jurnal Pendidikan Geosfer (JPG) is published by the Department of Geography Education, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Syiah Kuala, Banda Aceh. This journal is intended for students, lecturers, teachers, researchers, and other members of the general public. It publishes articles in the fields of Geography Education and Science with a focus on discussions related to educational sciences, social education, science education, geography education, geosphere phenomena, environmental and regional studies, geographic information systems, remote sensing, cartographic studies, land evaluation, development planning, tourism, demographic and sociocultural studies, local wisdom, disaster studies, as well as other supporting disciplines related to geography. Abstract

Insekta pohon berperan penting bagi keberlangsungan ekosistem di kebun campuran, sehingga persebaran insekta pohon perlu dijaga. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui spesies insekta pohon, yang dilihat dari indeks keanekaragaman, dan indeks dominansi insekta pohon di kebun campuran Gampong Meunasah Raya, Kecamatan Jangka Buya, Kabupaten Pidie Jaya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode survei langsung dan pendekatan secara kuantitatif deskriptif. Tekhnik pengambilan sampel menggunakan bait trap dan hand collecting. Analisis data menggunakan rumus indeks keanekaragaman Shannon-Wiener dan indek dominansi Simpson. Hasil penelitian ditemukan 10 spesies insekta pohon yaitu Camponotus compressus, Dolichoderus thoracicus, Camponotus sansabeanus, Oecophylla smaragdina, Camponotus barbaricus, Solenopsis invicta, Lasius niger, Poecilus versicolor, Chilocorus renipustuatus dan Scutiphora pedicellata. Indeks keanekaragaman insekta pohon di kebun campuran yaitu (H’) = 1,411-1,936 dan indeks dominansi yaitu (C) = 0,148-0,269. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi acuan bagi petani dalam mengelola kebun campuran dengan cara yang ramah lingkungan tanpa merusak ekosistem. ABSTRACT Tree insects play an important role in the sustainability of mixed garden ecosystems, so their existence must be well maintained. This study aims to determine the species of tree insects, diversity index, dominance index in Gampong Meunasah Raya, Jangka Buya District, Pidie Jaya Regency. This study used a survey method with a bait traps and hand collecting. Tree insects were analyzed using the Shannon-Wiener diversity index formula and Simpson dominance index. The results of the study found 10 species of tree insects, namely Camponotus compressus, Dolichoderus thoracicus, Camponotus sansabeanus, Oecophylla smaragdina, Camponotus barbaricus, Solenopsis invicta, Lasius niger, Poecilus versicolor, Chilocorus renipustuatus and Scutiphora pedicellata. The diversity index of tree insects in mixed gardens is (H’) = 1,411-1,936 and the dominance index (C) = 0,148-0,269. The result ot this studi are expected to be for farmer in managing mixed gardener in an environmentally frendly the ecosystem.
