Abstract

This research is motivated by the many conflicts that occur in the current Islamic educational institution environment, both in terms of learning and educational administration. The purpose of this study is to find out conflict management in Islamic educational institutions using Islamic and contemporary approaches. The method of this research is to use a literature study study. The result of this study is that the occurrence of conflicts in Islamic educational institutions is something that is common, considering that Islamic educational institutions are still continuing to carry out the process of improvement in their systems and mechanisms. Conflicts also arise because they are caused by the unpreparedness of facilities and infrastructure that support their implementation and the existence of differences and contradictions in the implementation of the implementation mechanism of Islamic educational institutions, even conflicts also arise because of conflicts in the behavior of practitioners of Islamic educational institutions themselves. In an Islamic perspective, conflicts must be managed properly so that they become a force for the better and can facilitate the implementation of a stable and consistent education system. One of the postulates in conflict management in Islam is contained in Q.S Annisa verse 35, which explains that conflicts must be overcome and solutions must be found. Meanwhile, in the current contemporary approach, conflict management can be done by utilizing science and technology as a tool to minimize and normalize everything that is deemed necessary to reduce and resolve conflicts that occur. If conflicts are left unattended and not managed with appropriate conflict management, it will have a bad impact, especially on the success of Islamic educational institutions. The Islamic and Contemporary approaches are two viewpoints that can help resolve conflicts that occur in the environment of Islamic educational institutions. In other words, Islam is a religion that is always present to provide solutions to all problems, including conflict management. However, on the other hand, it is also necessary to look at the current situation and conditions by looking at the development of the increasingly advanced times, of course it is necessary to solve problems by considering the conditions in the current contemporary era.

Abstract

Learning at school does not seem to be able to overcome learning difficulties at school, as well as reading difficulties that occur to students at SD N 03 Makbon, Sorong Regency, as many as 17 people have not been able to read fluently. Initial observations show that the approach method used by educators is less effective. The purpose of this study is to find out the learning style of students. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, with 17 respondents, and observation data collection methods as well as interviews. The results of the study show that the most prominent learning style used by students is the visual learning style. This is because students prefer to learn by watching their teachers explain in front of the class

Abstract

Cooperative learning is an approach aimed at enhancing cooperation among students in the teaching and learning process. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of implementing cooperative learning models in improving student collaboration in Science and Social Studies (IPAS) subjects. This research employs a qualitative approach with observation, interview, and documentation techniques to collect data related to students' responses and interactions during the learning process. The results show that the application of cooperative learning not only enhances students' understanding of the material but also strengthens their teamwork, sense of responsibility, and social skills within the group. Through cooperative learning, students are more active, supportive of one another, and highly motivated to grasp the subject matter. This indicates that the cooperative learning model has a significant contribution in supporting classroom learning success, especially in IPAS subjects.

Abstract

This study examines the relevance of Muhammad Iqbal's Islamic philosophical thought to Islamic education in the modern era. Iqbal, as one of the greatest thinkers of the Islamic world, made a significant contribution to the understanding of the relationship between religion, education, and intellectual progress. In his view, education is not only aimed at creating technically skilled individuals, but also to shape character and deepen spirituality. Iqbal's thought emphasizes the importance of integration between science, faith, and the formation of self-awareness (selfhood) in the Islamic context. This paper will identify several key concepts in Iqbal's educational philosophy, such as the concept of "Khudi" (self-awareness), the development of human potential, and thoughts on the role of religion in intellectual progress. This type of research is a qualitative literature research that examines theory in depth to get conclusions. The results of this study show that the relevance of these ideas is analyzed in the context of Islamic education today, which is faced with the challenges of globalization, technological advancement, and cultural pluralism. It is hoped that the results of this analysis can provide new insights for the development of more relevant and holistic Islamic education in the modern era, which is able to bridge the gap between traditional Islamic values and the needs of contemporary society

Abstract

The prevalence of children with special needs in Indonesia is increasing, up to 10% of the total population of children. This means that about 10 out of every 100 children in Indonesia have special needs. The presence of children with special needs is a challenge in itself, which encourages all stakeholders to be able to formulate policies that favour the interests of children with special needs so that they get the same rights, especially in education as other children in general. Inclusion for all students is not just a hope, but an educational goal that must be achieved. The inclusion programme provides opportunities for children with special needs to receive education, optimise their potential and meet their learning needs, which in turn encourages the achievement of compulsory education targets. Teachers are one of the most important factors in the implementation of inclusive education, the success and achievement of education is highly dependent on the readiness of teachers as implementers of the inclusive education programme. This study aims to determine the readiness of teachers in implementing inclusive education, especially in schools. The research method used is literature review by filtering articles related to the time span 2018-2024. The results of the search for related journals were obtained as many as 8 journals which were analysed using thematic data techniques. The results of this study indicate that the readiness of teachers to implement inclusive education is still very low and unprepared. This is because teachers have no experience in teaching children with special needs. Teachers do not know the specific characteristics of children with special needs, besides that the ability of teachers is still very limited in terms of conducting assessments and identifying children's cases, developing learning programmes that suit children's needs, and the absence of training obtained by teachers to improve teachers' knowledge and abilities.

Abstract

This research discusses the importance of the role of Islamic education in the modern era. The foundation of Islamic education, namely the Qur'an and Hadith, is the main reference for reform after renewal in the context of its implementation of the development of education in the Islamic world which continues to develop. In Indonesia itself, the implementation of national education is regulated in Law No. 20 concerning the National Education System. No less important, the reform is certainly inseparable from the role of Islamic figures who struggle through their thoughts so that Islamic education continues to go hand in hand and not be left behind even though the times continue to develop. The purpose of this research is specific to one of the figures of Islamic modernization, namely Ibn Khaldun. From his perspective, Ibn Khaldun gave criticism as well as improvement of the Islamic education system. In this context, Ibn Khaldun conveyed his ideas regarding the modernization of the educational process. In this study, Ibn Khaldun's thoughts on his views on the concept of modernization offered as a form of realization by the Indonesian nation itself as outlined in the National Education System Law, and also its implementation on the development of Islamic education in Indonesia. This type of research is included in qualitative research (library research) which examines a theoretical and in-depth study so that conclusions will be obtained. The results of this study show that there is a conformity between Ibn Khaldun's thinking views regarding the concept of modernization offered to its implementation in the management of the Islamic education system. Its relevance to the current Islamic education process is that Islamic education should not only be directed to theoretical understanding, but also need to be faced with social reality, systematic teaching materials, maturation of the foundation of Islamic values, so that a generation that is able to be competitive in Indonesia in today's modern world is born. Not only that, the thought of modernizing Islamic education offered by Ibn Khaldun also has an impact on the policies taken with the goals and values agreed upon in the regulations in accordance with the demands of the times.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of Missouri Mathematics Project (MMP) learning model students’ mathematical problem solving skills and compare it with conventional learning method. This study was conducted at MTs Al-Rahmah, Serang City. The type of study used was True Eksperimental Design using Pretest-Posttest Control Group. The Samples size was 60 students from the total population of class VIII MTs Al-Rahmah which was taken randomly using sample random sampling technique. The results of this study showed that, (1) there was a significant effect of Missouri Mathematics Project (MMP) learning model on students’ mathematical problem solving skills with a tcount value of 21,498 > ttable = 2,048 which means Ho was rejected and (2) there was a significant difference in improving of mathematical problem solving skills between students used Missouri Mathematics Project (MMP) learning model and students used conventional learning model with a tcount value of 6,2454 > ttable = 2,048 which means H0 is rejected

Abstract

Social studies learning about cultural diversity aims to form students' understanding of the importance of tolerance, mutual respect, and maintaining diversity in everyday life. However, in the learning process, students often have difficulty. One solution that can be implemented is the use of learning media in teaching the topic of cultural diversity in social studies classes. The aim of this research is to analyze learning media that can improve the quality of students' understanding of the importance of maintaining cultural diversity in Indonesia and also to find out the types of teaching media in social studies learning on cultural material. This research method uses a literature study approach. The results of this research are that social studies learning about culture can be carried out using the help of teaching media. Using teaching media can help students understand cultural concepts. Learning media has three functions, namely 1.) effective function, 2.) cognitive function, and 3.) compensatory function.

Abstract

The Tengger tribe is a tribe rich in culture and history. Since the Hindu Kingdom in Indonesia, the name Tengger has been known as the sacred land. The role of local wisdom that is widely unknown to the general public is a reason for researchers to review the identity of the Tengger community in particular. This research is a qualitative descriptive study that adopts an ethnographic approach that aims to describe and interpret existing cultures, social groups, and systems related to the local wisdom of the Tengger community. This study found that the role of local wisdom can be reviewed in several aspects including the value of cultural arts, customs, multicultural values, social, and the role of the Tengger community in maintaining the role of local wisdom

Abstract

This research aims to see the level of initial reading ability for class I students at SD Negeri 38 Lubuklinggau using the Scramble learning model in Lesson B. Indonesia. This type of research is qualitative research with a population and sample of class I students at SD Negeri 38 Lubuklinggau, namely a population of 49 students and a sample taken from class IA totaling 24 students. The data collection techniques used were observation techniques, teacher interviews and documentation. The results of this research show an increase in initial reading ability using the Scramble learning model
