Jurnal Pendidikan Kimia FKIP Universitas Halu Oleo aims to advance knowledge, research, innovation, and professional practice in chemistry education. The journal provides an academic platform for researchers, lecturers, teachers, students, education practitioners, and policymakers to disseminate original and significant scholarly works addressing theoretical, empirical, methodological, and practical issues in chemistry teaching and learning. The journal is committed to promoting evidence-based educational practices, innovative instructional approaches, and the effective integration of science and technology into chemistry education. It also seeks to strengthen the connection between research findings and classroom practices across secondary schools, higher education institutions, and other formal or non-formal educational settings. The journal welcomes original research articles, review articles, development studies, case studies, and other scholarly works within the following areas: 1. Higher-order thinking skills (HOTS) and science literacy are skills that must be mastered by students in 21st-century learning. However, the learning resources are still not available so their HOTS Literacy skills are still low. This research is development research with the 4D model (define, design, develop, and disseminate). The research objectives are analyzing the Student Worksheet that has been used; designing an e-Student Worksheet based on HOTS Literacy; assessing the feasibility of the e-Student Worksheet; and determining the response of students. The research subjects were validators and students of class XI MIPA SMA Negeri 14 Medan. Data collection used questionnaires, teacher interviews and test instruments. The results are the feasibility of the e-Student Worksheet is 88.8% and interpreted as a very high criterion. The student’s response is 99.7% with very interesting criteria. The n-gain value is 0.71 with high criteria. This shows that the HOTS Literacy-based e-Student Worksheet for Acid-Base materials developed is feasible and effective in improving students’ HOTS Literacy skills.

This study aims to determine student’ responses and compare student’s learning outcomes using ChemOnDro media with a project based learning model and students with a direct learning model on colloidal system material. The population of study is all 11th grade class students and the sample selection taken by random sampling technique. This study applied a quasi experimental design. The research instrument consists of questionnaires filled out by students and written tests consisting of pre-test and post-test. The results of data analysis of pretest scores obtained an average value of 13.625 and an average postest value of 82.31, these values have reached KKM. The response of students in the category was very good, with the average percentage of 86.65%. Based on the t test, we get the sig value. (2-tailed) 0.00 ˂ 0.05 so it can be concluded that there is a significant difference between the control class and the experimental class.

The aim of this research is to determine the quality of the SETS-based bulletin learning media as well as the responses of teachers and students to the SETS-based bulletin learning media that was developed. This type of research is Research & Development (R&D) using the ADDIE development model. The instruments used were validation sheets and teacher and student response questionnaires. The sample for this research was class X students and 1 teacher. The research results showed that the SETS-based bulletin media for superior nanomaterials met the very valid criteria with a material aspect percentage of 84.1% and a media aspect of 82.8%. Teachers gave a very practical response to the media developed with a practicality score of 82.8%, while students had a practicality score of 87.5%. From the results of this research, it can be concluded that the SETS-based Bulletin Media on Nanomaterial Advantages developed has very good quality and can be used to support learning.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: pengaruh gaya belajar terhadap prestasi belajar kimia, pengaruh pola asuh orang tua terhadap prestasi belajar kimia dan pengaruh gaya belajar dan pola asuh orang tua secara bersama-sama berpengaruh terhadap prestasi belajar kimia. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian korelasional. Instrumen penelitian berupa angket. Sampel penelitian; peserta didik kelas XI MIPA 3. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang tidak signifikan antara gaya belajar terhadap prestasi belajar kimia siswa (sig 0,564>0,05). Terdapat pengaruh yang tidak signifikan antara pola asuh orang tua terhadap prestasi belajar kimia siswa (sig 0,061>0,05). Dan terdapat pengaruh yang tidak signifikan antara gaya belajar dan pola asuh orang tua secara bersama-sama terhadap prestasi belajar kimia sebesar (sig 0,167>0,05), dengan angka koefisien determinasi (R2) diketahui sebesar 13,9% terhadap prestasi belajar kimia. Hal ini berarti ada faktor-faktor lain yang lebih dominan dibandingkan dengan faktor gaya belajar dan pola asuh orang tua yang berpengaruh terhadap prestasi belajar kimia

Penelitian ini bertujuan (1) Mengetahui kualitas video sparkol pada materi sistem koloid yang dikembangkan untuk siswa kelas XI MIPA 5, dan (2) Mengetahui media pembelajaran berbasis video sparkol yang dikembangkan dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa di kelas XI MIPA 5. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada semester genap TA 2022/2023 di SMAN 4 Kendari dengan jumlah 40 siswa. Pengembangan media menggunakan metode ADDIE dan pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui angket validasi, respon siswa, dan soal pre-test dan post-test. Proses pembelajaran menghasilkan kualitas video sparkol yang dikembangkan pada materi sistem koloid di kelas XI MIPA 5, berdasarkan penilaian validator dengan persentase rata-rata yang diperoleh yaitu 82,91% masuk kategori “Sangat layak”, dan media pembelajaran berbasis video sparkol yang dikembangkan efektif meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa di kelas XI MIPA 5 yang ditunjukkan oleh nilai rata-rata N-Gain 0,74 dengan kategori “Tinggi”.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil belajar siswa dengan penerapan model pembelajaran Project Based Learning pada siswa kelas XI IPA 2 SMA Negeri 1 Wolowa pada materi pokok koloid, mengetahui efektivitas penerapan model pembelajaran Project Based Learning pada materi koloid, mengetahui bagaimana tanggapan siswa terhadap model pembelajaran Project Based Learning. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas XI IPA 2. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pre-experimental dengan desain One-Group Pretest-posttest design. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan pretest-posttes, lembar observasi, dan lembar angket. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar siswa kelas XI IPA 2 SMA Negeri 1 Wolowa yang diajar dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Project Based Learning diperoleh nilai rata-rata 75,62 dengan efektifitas pembelajaran sebesar 0,63 atau nilai N-gain termasuk pada kategori sedang, aktivitas siswa pada pertemuan pertama sebesar 80%, pertemuan kedua meningkat menjadi 84%, aktivitas guru pada pertemuan pertama sebesar 72,5%, pertemuan kedua meningkat menjadi 77,5%. Angket tanggapan siswa dengan menggunakan pembelajaran Project Based Learning menunjukkan bahwa aspek motivasi siswa dengan rata-rata 89,04, aspek tanggungjawab siswa dengan rata-rata 79,14, aspek pengusaan materi siswa dengan rata-rata 84,36, dan aspek presentasi hasil diskusi siswa dengan rata-rata 43,69. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model Project Based Learning pada materi sistem koloid efektif meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi sistem koloid.

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menguji efektivitas model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing berpendekatan STEM dalam meningkatan penguasaan konsep dan kemandirian belajar siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan subyek 88 siswa kelas XI IPA di SMAN 1 Telaga Biru. Hasil analisis penguasaan konsep diperoleh nilai rata-rata pretest pada masing-masing kelas XI IPA yaitu sebesar 18,04, 18,07 dan 18,04 sedangkan hasil posttest yaitu sebesar 72,03, 73,32 dan 62,75.Hasil analisis kemandirian belajar diperoleh nilai rata-rata pretest pada masing-masing kelas XI IPA yaitu sebesar 52,25, 47,94 dan 56,63 sedangkan hasil posttest yaitu sebesar 79,71, 74,20 dan 79,75. Hipotesis diuji menggunakan uji (t-Test: Paired Two Sample for Means). Dari data anilisis menunjukkan: 1) Diperoleh P (T<=t) two-tail sebesar 0,000 pada taraf signifikan 0,05; 2) Diperoleh P(T<=t) two-tail sebesar 0,000 pada taraf signifikan 0,05 artinya model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing efektif dalam meningkatkan penguasaan konsep kemandirian belajar.

The research “The Application of Problem Based Learning Model with Powtoon Media to Improve Chemistry Learning Outcomes” aims to determine the improvement of student’s chemistry outcomes taught using problem based learning model with powtoon media. This research method used is Pre-Experiment with one group pretest-posttest design. The subjects of this study were students of class XI MIPA 2 SMAN 8 Kendari which amounted to 24 people. Data collection techniques were carried out using research instruments in the form of multiple choice test of 20 questions, observation sheets, and students response questionnaires. The results shiwed that the average value of student learning outcomes was 78,23 with an average n-gain of 0,73, the average percentage of student learning activities and teacher teaching activities was 88,63% and 83,33% respectively or in the very good category, the average percentage of student responses to the application of problem based learning models with powtoon media was 76,42% or in the good category

This research aims to describe the influence of motivation and learning media on the learning outcomes of class XI high school students on chemical equilibrium material. The population in this study were all students in class XI MIPA at SMA Negeri 2 Medan. The method in this research is a quasi-experiment with Pretest Posttest Control Group Design, class samples were selected using random sampling techniques and student samples were selected using purposive sampling, obtained class XI MIPA 1 as experimental class 1 and XI MIPA 8 as experimental class 2. Influence of motivation and learning media were analyzed using normality, homogeneity and hypothesis tests. The research results show that there is an interaction between motivation and learning media and there is an influence of motivation and learning media on high school students' learning outcomes.

This research aims to report the results of identifying the level of misconceptions and the sources causing the misconceptions experienced by class XI IPA students at SMAN 17 Medan regarding the concept of chemical equilibrium. This research is descriptive research using the ADDIE development model. Data collection in this research used tests, interviews and questionnaires. The results of the wide-scale trial showed that the level of misconception of class The largest percentage of misconceptions is the concept of chemical equilibrium in industry at 29%. The lowest percentage of misconceptions experienced by students was understanding the concept of chemical equilibrium at 2%. The highest percentage of categories that cause misconceptions experienced by students is in the MC-PT category or misconceptions caused by individuals at 73% and the lowest category percentage was shown in the MC-B category or misconceptions obtained from books at 34%.
