Abstract

In general, pedestrian lanes on the corridor road section Aroepala Street and Letjen Hertasning Street has not fulfilled the expectations of its users, due to the width of the pedestrian lane that has not met the standards, the incomplete street furniture, and the use of parking areas on the shoulder of the road exacerbating pedestrian inconvenience in the corridor of the area. The purpose of this planning is to identify the performance of pedestrian lanes and pedestrian perceptions as well as arrange direction for handling pedestrian lanes on these roads. This plan begins with a study using Level of Service (LOS), Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) and correlation analysis. Preparation of directives for handling is done based on LOS calculation and priority level of pedestrian lines. The results of this study are the level of pedestrian service on Street Letjen Hertasning is classified as LOS B and LOS C while for Aroepala Street has no pedestrian path so the LOS value cannot be determined. The level of suitability between the level of importance and satisfaction of pedestrians to the pedestrian lane in the study location is classified as inappropriate. This can be seen based on the percentage level of conformity, where the four segments in the variables of comfort, safety and attractiveness have a level of conformity below 100%. The direction of planning that is carried out is the provision of priority indicators for pedestrian lane facilities using illustrated plan drawings and handling maps in the form of improvements and new development.

Abstract

The coastal area of Makassar City has several coastal tourism potentials that can be developed in the form of a stretch of beach at the sea such as Akkarena Beach. But in its development, various kinds of problems arise relating to economic, social and environmental. This certainly affects the level of sustainability of the tourist objects of the Makassar City coastal area. This study aims to determine the level of sustainability and sensitive variables (attributes) that affect the level of sustainability of coastal tourism objects in Makassar City. The analytical method used is a qualitative and quantitative descriptive method that is supported by the application of rapfish in the Multidimensional Scaling (MDS) and leverage models. The results show that overall the Akkarena Beach has a fairly sustainable category. Where the economic dimension is categorized quite sustainable with tourism development and promotion attributes being the most sensitive attributes, the social dimension is sustainable with level of crime as sensitive attributes and environmental dimension has a sustainable category with land use deviations as sensitive attributes.

Abstract

Based on field facts, the road network system in the center of Makassar is more dominant than the suburbs (tanjung bunga area). This has an impact on the difficulty of accessing several areas that are close together but not connected. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of accessibility and level of regional development on the central connecting road of Makassar City with the Tanjung Bunga suburb and the relationship between the two variables. Data analysis techniques used include, calculation of the alpha index (α), Location Quotient (LQ), and calculation of the correlation between α with LQ, AHP and SWOT. Based on the results of the analysis it is known that the accessibility index is included in the category of high accessibility, LQ is included in the high category, regional accessibility and regional development have a direct relationship, that is, if regional accessibility experiences development, regional development will experience the same thing. As for the direction of the development, among others, the design of the station relating to people who visit with clarity of passenger circulation, planning the ring road, planning the connectivity of arterial roads, the realization of ring road construction, and making the Makassar City RTRW as a guide and integrated with regulations in planning the basic components of the train station fire.

One of the coastal tourism objects that has the potential to be developed is Gusunga Beach, which is located in Bontosunggu Village, North Galesong District. Based on the Regional Regulation of Takalar District No. 6 of 2012 concerning the Takalar District Spatial Plan for 2012-2031 states that Gusunga Beach is one of the nature tourism. The potential of Gusunga Beach can be assessed from the activities and culture of the surrounding community and the beauty of its natural panorama. However, the problem that have occurred is that Gusunga Beach has no management either from the government or the private sector, so that currently the management is carried out by the village authorities. This will have an impact on the tourism industry to the environment, economy and social. Based on the previous explanation, this study aims to develop the potential and tourist attraction of Gusunga Beach as sustainable tourism using two methods, which are methods for analysis and methods for planning with a qualitative and quantitative approach. The analytical method is divided into four parts, which are sustainable tourism components, tourism components, tourist valuation, and infrastructure analysis. The planning method is divided into five parts, which are zoning plans for tourism area development, infrastructure planning, sustainable tourism strategy plans, development phasing plans, and development estimation plans.

The method were a questionnaire and in-depth interviews. The analysis was carried out descriptively, spatially, comparatively and SWOT. The results showed 1) Adequate infrastructure is a road network. Inadequate infrastructure is drainage networks, clean water systems, waste systems, household feces systems. Infrastructure that is not yet available is the electricity network and telecommunications network. 2) The condition of settlement infrastructure is in quadrant II which shows the strategy used is an aggressive maintainance strategy, namely an internal consolidation strategy by making improvements to the weakness factor to maximize the utilization of opportunities. The strategic steps taken are the development of renewable energy to support the development of tourism, the application of WWTP as a minmal technology that is owned in domestic waste treatment and waste management through fostered groups.
