Abstract

The advancement of technology and the rapid growth of digitalization make students more vulnerable to misinformation and manipulation, particularly when their critical thinking skills are weak. This experimental study aims to examine the impact of the SLIDO application on students’ critical thinking skills, focusing on their self-systems during learning calculus on partial differential equations (PDEs). This quantitative research employed a treatment-by-level experimental design with three variables: the SLIDO application, students’ self-system, and students’ critical thinking skills. Using a multi-stage sampling technique, 48 students were selected as participants. Data were analyzed using two-way ANOVA. The findings indicate that: (1) students who learned with the SLIDO application demonstrated higher critical thinking skills than those taught through conventional methods; (2) there is a significant difference in critical thinking skills between students with high and low self-systems; and (3) there is a significant interaction effect between the use of the SLIDO application and students’ self-system on their critical thinking skills. Pesatnya kemajuan teknologi dan arus digitalisasi membuat mahasiswa semakin rentan terhadap misinformasi dan manipulasi, terutama ketika keterampilan berpikir kritis mereka masih lemah. Penelitian eksperimen ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh aplikasi SLIDO terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis mahasiswa dengan mempertimbangkan self-system dalam pembelajaran kalkulus pada materi persamaan diferensial parsial (PDEs). Penelitian kuantitatif ini menggunakan desain eksperimen treatment by level dengan tiga variabel, yaitu aplikasi SLIDO, self-system mahasiswa, dan keterampilan berpikir kritis. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan multi-stage sampling sehingga terpilih 48 mahasiswa sebagai partisipan. Data dianalisis menggunakan ANOVA dua jalur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) keterampilan berpikir kritis mahasiswa yang belajar dengan aplikasi SLIDO lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan mahasiswa yang belajar melalui metode konvensional; (2) terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara keterampilan berpikir kritis mahasiswa dengan self-system tinggi dan rendah; dan (3) terdapat pengaruh interaksi yang signifikan antara penggunaan aplikasi SLIDO dan self-system terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis mahasiswa.

Abstract

Students’ reflective thinking ability is closely related to their problem-solving skills. Therefore, the general objective of this research is to describe further the reflective thinking ability, particularly among university students, when solving geometry problems. The method used in this study is qualitative with a descriptive approach. Data were collected through a geometry test to assess confusion and evaluation; a reflective thinking observation sheet during the task (think-aloud); an in-depth interview guide on techniques, monitoring, insight, and conceptualisation; an audio recorder; and field notes. The subjects in this study were selected using a purposive sampling technique, in which students had already taken a Geometry course and had demonstrated reflective thinking (confusion and evaluation) through tests and observations. The collected data were further analysed using techniques such as transcribing the think-aloud recordings and interviews, followed by data reduction, which involved selecting relevant excerpts from the transcripts, observation sheets, and field notes. The findings indicate that although all aspects of reflective thinking were present, the monitoring and insight components were complicated to identify throughout the research process. Therefore, future researchers are encouraged to place greater emphasis not only on these two aspects but also specifically on the monitoring and insight components within the problem-solving process.  Kemampuan berpikir reflektif siswa berhubungan erat dengan kemampuan dalam menyelesaikan masalah. Sehingga tujuan umum dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan lebih lanjut tentang kemampuan berpikir reflektif, khususnya pada mahasiswa ketika menyelesaikan masalah geometri. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Pengambilan data dilakukan melalui tes geometri untuk mengidentifikasi kebingungan dan evaluasi; lembar observasi berpikir reflektif saat pengerjaan (think-aloud), panduan wawancara mendalam terkait techniques, monitoring, insight, dan conceptualization, alat perekam audio dan catatan lapangan. Subjek dalam penelitian ini diambil melalui teknik purposive sampling, di mana mahasiswa tersebut telah mengikuti mata kuliah Geometri dan terbukti menunjukkan aspek berpikir reflektif (kebingungan dan evaluasi) melalui tes dan observasi. Data yang dikumpulkan lebih lanjut dianalisis dengan teknik yang digunakan yaitu transkripsi rekaman think-aloud dan wawancara. Reduksi data, memilih potongan relevan dari transkrip, lembar observasi, dan catatan lapangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa walaupun semua aspek berpikir reflektif muncul, namun khusus pada aspek monitoring dan insight dalam proses penelitian ini sulit ditemukan. Oleh karena itu peneliti berikutnya dapat lebih berfokus selain pada dua aspek juga pada bagian monitoring dan insight pada proses penyelesaian masalah.

Abstract

This study examined the effect of Student Teams Achievement Divisions (STAD) cooperative learning supported by student worksheets on seventh-grade students’ mathematical problem-solving ability (MPSA) in a numeracy context. A quasi-experimental non-equivalent control group pretest–posttest design was used, with one class assigned as the experimental group and another as the control group. Data were collected using essay-type pretest and posttest instruments scored using four indicators derived from Pólya’s problem-solving framework: understanding the problem, devising a plan, carrying out the plan, and looking back. Data were analysed using descriptive statistics and analysis of covariance (ANCOVA), with pretest scores treated as a covariate. ANCOVA results showed a significant effect of instructional group on posttest MPSA after controlling for initial ability, and the pretest covariate significantly predicted posttest performance. Indicator-level ANCOVA indicated that the strongest group differences occurred in understanding the problem and devising a plan, while no significant difference was found for carrying out and checking the solution. These findings suggest that STAD supported by worksheets contributes particularly to students’ early-stage problem-solving processes in numeracy-oriented mathematics learning. Results should be interpreted cautiously due to the non-randomized design and limited number of test items. Keywords: cooperative learning, numeracy, problem-solving, student teams achievement divisions, worksheet.   Penelitian ini mengkaji pengaruh pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Student Teams Achievement Divisions (STAD) yang didukung lembar kerja siswa terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis (KPMM) siswa kelas VII dalam konteks numerasi. Penelitian menggunakan desain kuasi-eksperimen non-equivalent control group pretest–posttest, dengan satu kelas sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan satu kelas sebagai kelompok kontrol. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes uraian pretest dan posttest yang dinilai menggunakan empat indikator yang diturunkan dari kerangka pemecahan masalah Pólya, yaitu memahami masalah, menyusun rencana penyelesaian, melaksanakan rencana, dan memeriksa kembali penyelesaian. Analisis data dilakukan dengan statistik deskriptif dan analisis kovarians (ANCOVA) dengan skor pretest sebagai kovariat. Hasil ANCOVA menunjukkan adanya pengaruh signifikan kelompok pembelajaran terhadap skor postest KPMM setelah mengontrol kemampuan awal, dan skor pretest berkontribusi signifikan dalam memprediksi skor postest. Analisis ANCOVA per indikator menunjukkan perbedaan paling kuat pada indikator memahami masalah dan merencanakan penyelesaian, sedangkan pada indikator melaksanakan dan memeriksa kembali penyelesaian tidak ditemukan perbedaan signifikan. Temuan ini mengindikasikan STAD berbantuan lembar kerja terutama mendukung tahapan awal proses pemecahan masalah dalam pembelajaran matematika berbasis numerasi. Hasil perlu ditafsirkan hati-hati karena desain non-random dan jumlah butir soal terbatas.  Kata kunci: kemampuan pemecahan masalah, lembar kerja siswa, numerasi, pembelajaran kooperatif, student teams achievement divisions.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengeksplorasi faktor-faktor penyebab kesulitan belajar Matematika pada siswa SMA di suatu sekolah swasta di Tarakan, Kalimantan Utara, Indonesia. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh masih rendahnya pemahaman siswa terhadap Matematika, sementara kajian terkait penyebab kesulitan di jenjang SMA masih terbatas. Penelitian kualitatif ini menggunakan pendekatan studi kasus dan melibatkan enam partisipan yang dipilih melalui angket. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket dan wawancara, kemudian dianalisis secara tematik. Ditemukan tujuh tema penyebab kesulitan belajar, yaitu (1) Siklus persepsi negatif terhadap Matematika, (2) suasana pembelajaran yang kurang kondusif, (3) kebiasaan belajar Matematika yang kurang, (4) kompetensi pedagogik guru yang kurang, (5) dukungan orang tua yang kurang, (6) sarana dan prasarana sekolah yang kurang memadai, dan (7) malu bertanya meskipun belum memahami materi. Hasil ini menunjukkan pentingnya peningkatan kompetensi guru melalui metode pembelajaran inovatif, tes diagnostik, serta pembentukan persepsi positif terhadap Matematika.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and validate the In Action learning design guidebook for mathematics in junior high school, as well as test teachers' responses to the guidebook. The research method refers to the Plomp development model, which includes the Preliminary Research Phase, Prototyping Phase, and Assessment Phase. The instruments used were design book assessment sheets, expert response questionnaires, and teacher response questionnaires. The results of the study based on expert validation analysis at the Assessment Phase stage showed that all indicators in the guidebook were in the valid and very valid categories (average assessment ranged from 3.17 to 3.63), indicating the feasibility of the product for implementation. Teacher response trials showed "very positive" results on small group tests (majority of aspects above 75%) and increased on field group tests (most aspects above 86%). However, there are inputs for design simplification, more in-depth explanations, and continuous assistance for usage optimization. Overall, this guidebook meets the eligibility criteria and can be implemented with several improvements based on the teacher's input to improve practicality and readability.  Keywords: Learning design, In Action, Mathematical connections, Mathematics, Teacher response.   Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan memvalidasi guidebook  desain pembelajaran In Action untuk matematika di SMP, serta menguji respon guru terhadap guidebook  tersebut. Metode penelitian mengacu pada model pengembangan Plomp, yang meliputi tahapan Preliminary Research, Prototyping Phase, dan Assessment Phase. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar penilaian buku desain, angket respon ahli, dan angket respon guru. Hasil penelitian berdasrkan analisis validasi ahli pada tahap Assessment Phase menunjukkan bahwa semua indikator pada guidebook  berada dalam kategori valid dan sangat valid (rata-rata penilaian berkisar antara 3.17 hingga 3.63), menunjukkan kelayakan produk untuk diimplementasikan. Uji coba respon guru menunjukkan hasil yang "sangat positif" pada uji kelompok kecil (mayoritas aspek di atas 75%) dan meningkat pada uji kelompok lapangan (sebagian besar aspek di atas 86%), mengindikasikan keunggulan, kesesuaian kebutuhan, serta kemudahan penggunaan dan implementasi guidebook . Meskipun demikian, terdapat masukan untuk penyederhanaan desain, penjelasan lebih mendalam, serta pendampingan berkelanjutan untuk optimalisasi penggunaan. Secara keseluruhan, guidebook  ini memenuhi kriteria kelayakan dan dapat diimplementasikan dengan beberapa penyempurnaan berdasarkan masukan guru untuk meningkatkan kepraktisan dan keterbacaan.  Kata Kunci: Desain pembelajaran, In Action, Koneksi matematis, Matematika, Respon guru

Abstract

The rapid development of technology and communication has penetrated the field of education, including in the development of evaluation instruments. Android-based test instruments have been widely studied and proven to have a positive impact on the learning process. This study aims to develop an Android-based numeracy literacy test instrument using iSpring Suite for Grade VIII junior high school students. This research focused on 30 students in Class VIII B at SMP Negeri 6 Bengkulu City. The results of the development are expected to produce a test instrument that is valid, reliable, practical, and has good item quality. This study employs the ADDIE development model which includes five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The Analysis stage was conducted to identify the needs of the test instrument, while the Design stage involved the design of an Android-based instrument. At the Development stage, validation was carried out by expert validators using a 4-point Likert scale, which includes the validity of the material, construction, language, and media. The developed product prototype was demonstrated through video documentation, while the application was distributed as an APK file for field testing and user feedback collection. Implementation data was analyzed using the SPSS program to evaluate the reliability and practicality of the instrument. Expert validation yielded an average validity score of 3.82 (Aiken’s V = 0.94, very valid category), with a reliability coefficient of r₁₁ = 0.890 (high reliability). The practicality test results from students showed a score of 85.2% (very practical category). The results of the study showed that the developed test instrument met the criteria for validity, reliability, and practicality. In addition, the test items have a balanced level of difficulty (2 medium, 2 difficult), good discriminating power (D range: 0.333–0.467), and optimally functioning distractors. This instrument contributes to the development of digital-based evaluation media to improve the quality of numeracy literacy learning aligned with Kurikulum Merdeka and AKM frameworks. Keywords: Android, ISpring Suite, Numeracy Literacy, Test Instrument.   Perkembangan teknologi dan komunikasi yang pesat telah merambah bidang pendidikan, termasuk dalam pengembangan instrumen evaluasi. Instrumen tes berbasis Android telah banyak dipelajari dan terbukti memiliki dampak positif pada proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan instrumen tes literasi numerasi berbasis Android menggunakan iSpring Suite untuk siswa kelas VIII SMP. Penelitian ini berfokus pada 30 siswa kelas VIII B di SMP Negeri 6 Kota Bengkulu. Hasil pengembangan diharapkan menghasilkan instrumen tes yang valid, reliabel, praktis, dan memiliki kualitas item yang baik. Penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE yang mencakup lima tahapan: Analisis, Desain, Pengembangan, Implementasi, dan Evaluasi. Tahap Analisis dilakukan untuk mengidentifikasi kebutuhan instrumen tes, sedangkan tahap Desain melibatkan desain instrumen berbasis Android. Pada tahap Pengembangan, validasi dilakukan oleh validator ahli menggunakan skala Likert 4 poin, yang meliputi validitas materi, konstruksi, bahasa, dan media. Prototipe produk yang dikembangkan didemonstrasikan melalui dokumentasi video, sedangkan aplikasi didistribusikan sebagai file APK untuk pengujian lapangan dan pengumpulan umpan balik pengguna. Data implementasi dianalisis menggunakan program SPSS untuk mengevaluasi reliabilitas dan kepraktisan instrumen. Validasi ahli menghasilkan skor validitas rata-rata 3,82 (Aiken’s V = 0,94, kategori sangat valid), dengan koefisien reliabilitas r₁₁ = 0,890 (reliabilitas tinggi). Hasil uji kepraktisan dari siswa menunjukkan skor 85,2% (kategori sangat praktis). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa instrumen tes yang dikembangkan memenuhi kriteria validitas, reliabilitas, dan kepraktisan. Selain itu, item tes memiliki tingkat kesulitan yang seimbang (2 sedang, 2 sulit), daya diskriminasi yang baik (rentang D: 0,333–0,467), dan distraktor yang berfungsi optimal. Instrumen ini berkontribusi pada pengembangan media evaluasi berbasis digital untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran literasi numerik yang selaras dengan kerangka kerja Kurikulum Merdeka dan AKM.  Kata kunci: Android, Instrumen Tes, ISpring Suite, Literasi Numerasi

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) learning model on students’ mathematical critical thinking skills in grade VIII of SMPN 2 Bunyu Island. This study uses a quasi-experiment, with a sample of 63 students obtained through saturated sampling. Data on mathematical critical thinking skills were collected with five different description questions for the pretest and posttest. The research data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, an independent-samples t-test, and an N-gain score test. The descriptive analysis showed that the average score on the mathematical critical thinking tests in the experimental class using the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model was higher than that in the control class using the conventional model. The independent-samples t-test showed t-calculate > t-table at the 5% significance level, and the follow-up test using the N-gain score showed that the average score of the experimental class was significantly higher than the average N-gain score of the control class. Thus, it was concluded that the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) learning model influenced students’ mathematical critical thinking skills in grade VIII of SMPN 2 Bunyu Island. Implementing the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model can be an effective strategy for improving students’ critical thinking skills in mathematics.   Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model Problem Based Learning (PBL) terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis matematis siswa di kelas VIII SMPN 2 Pulau Bunyu. Penelitian ini menggunakan Quasi Eksperimen. Sampel penelitian ini berjumlah 63 siswa yang diperoleh melalui teknik sampling jenuh. Data keterampilan berpikir kritis matematis dikumpulkan dengan 5 soal uraian yang berbeda untuk pretest dan posttest. Data penelitian dianalisis dengan teknik analisis deskriptif, uji independent sample t-test dan uji N-gain score. Hasil analisis deskriptif menunjukkan skor rata-rata hasil tes keterampilan berpikir kritis matematis pada kelas eksperimen yang menerapkan model PBL lebih besar dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol yang menerapkan model pembelajaran konvensional. Uji independent sample t-test menunjukkan nilai thitung > ttable pada taraf signifikansi  serta hasil uji lanjut menggunakan uji N-gain score diperoleh skor rata-rata N-gain kelas eksperimen lebih besar dibandingkan skor rata-rata N-gain kelas kontrol. Dengan demikian disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model PBL terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis matematis siswa di kelas VIII SMPN 2 Pulau Bunyu. Penerapan model PBL dapat menjadi strategi efektif untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis matematis siswa

Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is increasingly integrated into education, including mathematics learning, yet its successful implementation largely depends on teachers’ acceptance and readiness. This study aims to examine the determinants of AI acceptance and use among pre-service mathematics teachers by employing the Theory of Planned Behaviour (TPB), which comprises Attitude (AT), Social Norms (SN), Perceived Behavioral Control (PBC), Behavioral Intention (BI), and AI Use (AIU). A quantitative, cross-sectional survey design was used. Data were collected from 427 Generation Z pre-service mathematics teachers enrolled in three Indonesian universities using an online questionnaire. The instrument was adapted from a previously validated TPB-based scale, and data were analyzed using PLS-SEM with SmartPLS. The measurement model demonstrated excellent reliability and validity, and the structural model indicated very good fit (SRMR = 0.044). All hypothesized relationships were supported (p < 0.001). SN emerged as the strongest predictor of BI, followed by AT and PBC, while BI was the most powerful determinant of AIU (β = 0.849). These findings highlight the central role of social influence, positive attitudes, and technological efficacy in shaping pre-service teachers’ intentions and actual use of AI. The study implies that teacher education programs should design courses and practicum experiences that foster positive beliefs about AI, enhance digital competence, and leverage supportive social environments to promote meaningful AI integration in mathematics classrooms.   Keywords: Artificial Intelligence Acceptance, Artificial Intelligence Use, Educational technology, Mathematics Pre-service Teacher, Theory of Planned Behaviour,   Artificial Intelligence (AI) semakin banyak dimanfaatkan dalam pendidikan, termasuk pada pembelajaran matematika, namun keberhasilan integrasinya sangat bergantung pada penerimaan dan kesiapan calon guru. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi penerimaan dan penggunaan AI pada calon guru matematika menggunakan kerangka Theory of Planned Behaviour (TPB), yang mencakup Attitude (AT), Social Norms (SN), Perceived Behavioral Control (PBC), Behavioral Intention (BI) dan AI Use (AIU). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain cross-sectional. Sebanyak 427 calon guru matematika generasi Z dari tiga universitas di Indonesia berpartisipasi melalui pengisian kuesioner daring. Instrumen diadaptasi dari penelitian terdahulu berbasis TPB dan dianalisis menggunakan PLS-SEM melalui SmartPLS. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa model pengukuran memiliki reliabilitas dan validitas yang sangat baik, serta model struktural menunjukkan kelayakan yang tinggi (SRMR = 0,044). Semua hipotesis didukung secara signifikan (p < 0,001). SN muncul sebagai prediktor terkuat BI, diikuti AT dan PBC, sedangkan BI menjadi penentu utama AIU (β = 0,849). Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya dukungan sosial, sikap positif, dan efikasi teknologi dalam mendorong niat dan perilaku penggunaan AI. Implikasinya, program pendidikan guru perlu merancang pelatihan dan pengalaman praktik yang menumbuhkan sikap positif, meningkatkan kompetensi digital, dan memanfaatkan pengaruh sosial yang konstruktif terhadap penggunaan AI dalam pembelajaran matematika.   Kata Kunci: Artificial Intelligence Acceptance, Artificial Intelligence Use, Educational technology, Mathematics Pre-service Teacher, Theory of Planned Behaviour.

Abstract

Teachers’ beliefs about students’ mathematical problem-solving abilities substantially influence the nature of problem-solving instruction provided in classrooms. This study aims to describe elementary school teachers’ beliefs about mathematical problem-solving, focusing on their understanding of the nature of problem-solving, its importance, and how it should be taught. Six elementary school teachers with diverse teaching experiences and grade levels participated in the study through semi-structured and in-depth interviews. The findings reveal four significant insights: (1) Teachers generally define problem-solving as solving calculation-based tasks using specific procedures grounded in students’ mathematical knowledge; (2) Most teachers perceive mathematical problem-solving tasks merely as “difficult problems” for students, without recognizing their non-routine characteristics; (3) Teachers believe the primary difficulties students face involve understanding problems and determining appropriate procedures; and (4) Classroom instruction tends to emphasize providing examples of correct solution procedures as fixed models students must follow. Overall, the analysis shows that although teachers acknowledge the importance of problem-solving, their understanding remains limited regarding diverse problem-solving strategies and the deeper conceptual meaning of “problem” in mathematical problem-solving.   Keywords: Teachers' Beliefs, Mathematical Problem-Solving, Elementary School   Pentingnya keyakinan guru mengenai kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika sangat berdampak bagi pembelajaran pemecahan masalah yang mereka lakukan di kelas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keyakinan guru Sekolah Dasar tentang kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika yang menyangkut sifat pemecahan masalah matematika, pentingnya pemecahan masalah, dan pengajaran pemecahan masalah matematika. Penelitian ini diikuti oleh 6 orang guru SD dengan pengalaman mengajar dan tingkatan kelas yang berbeda dengan melakukan wawancara semi terstruktur dan mendalam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan empat temuan utama: (1) Para guru mengartikan pemecahan masalah adalah menyelesaikan soal perhitungan dengan prosedur tertentu menggunakan pengetahuan matematika yang dimiliki siswa, (2) Sebagian besar guru memandang soal pemecahan masalah matematika adalah soal yang sulit dikerjakan oleh siswa tanpa menyebutkan kriteria non rutin, (3) Guru meyakini bahwa kesulitan utama siswa terletak pada aspek memahami masalah dan menentukan prosedur yang tepat, dan (4) Pengajaran pemecahan masalah di kelas cenderung terfokus pada pemberian contoh prosedur penyelesaian yang benar sebagai acuan yang harus diikuti oleh siswa dalam pemecahan masalah. Analisis keseluruhan menunjukkan bahwa guru meyakini pentingnya pemecahan masalah matematika, meskipun demikian pemahaman mereka masih terbatas tentang strategi pemecahan masalah yang variatif dan makna mendalam tentang arti masalah dalam pemecahan masalah matematika.   Kata kunci: Keyakinan Guru, Pemecahan Masalah Matematika, Sekolah Dasar.

Abstract

High school students in Tarakan also experienced errors in integer operations, even though they should have mastered this material at an earlier level. This problem is closely related to classroom learning practices, especially the use of learning media that should facilitate cognitive engagement and meaningful learning experiences. Given the need for media, students' status as digital natives, and a survey showing that 67.2% of students are interested in adventure-themed comics, it is necessary to develop e-comics on integer operations material with adventure themes. The 4-D model development research was used by modifying it to 3-D (define, design, and develop). The research subjects consisted of six Year 10 students selected through purposive sampling. Data collection used qualitative and quantitative data obtained through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted descriptively using a Likert scale to assess expert validity and student responses, with media feasibility criteria deemed feasible if they achieved a minimum percentage of 61%. The validation results showed that the media met the feasibility criteria, with material and language expert assessments of 91.25% and media and language expert assessments of 90.79%, both of which were classified as highly feasible. Limited trials involving six students with diverse abilities showed positive responses with a feasibility percentage in the feasible category. Thus, e-comic media with an adventure theme are feasible for use as learning media for tenth-grade students. Keywords: Adventure Theme, E-comics, Integer Counting Operations, Learning Media.   Kesalahan dalam operasi bilangan bulat juga dialami siswa Sekolah Menengah Atas di Tarakan, padahal seharusnya materi tersebut telah dikuasai di jenjang sebelumnya. Permasalahan tersebut berkaitan erat dengan praktik pembelajaran di kelas, terutama dengan pemanfaatan media pembelajaran yang seharusnya dapat memfasilitasi keterlibatan kognitif dan pengalaman belajar bermakna. Penggabungan kebutuhan media, karakteristik siswa sebagai digital natives, dan hasil survey 67,2% siswa tertarik pada komik bertemakan petualangan. Sehingga diperlukan pengembangan media e-comic dengan tema petualangan pada materi operasi bilangan bulat. Penelitian pengembangan model 4-D digunakan dengan memodifikasi menjadi 3-D (define, design, dan develop). Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 6 siswa kelas X yang dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan data kualitatif dan kuantitatif yang dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, angket, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif menggunakan skala Likert untuk menilai validitas ahli dan respon siswa, dengan kriteria kelayakan media yang dinyatakan layak apabila mencapai persentase minimal 61%. Hasil validasi menunjukkan bahwa media memenuhi kriteria kelayakan, dengan penilaian ahli materi dan bahasa sebesar 91,25% serta ahli media dan bahasa sebesar 90,79%, keduanya termasuk kategori sangat layak. Uji coba terbatas terhadap enam siswa dengan karakteristik kemampuan yang beragam menunjukkan respons positif dengan persentase kelayakan pada kategori layak. Sehingga, media e-comic dengan tema petualangan layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran bagi siswa kelas X.
