Abstract

Financial management behavior is a critical factor in the sustainability of MSMEs, yet many business owners are still unable to manage their finances optimally. This study aims to analyze the influence of financial knowledge , financial attitude, and internal locus of control on financial management behavior through financial planning as a mediating variable among MSME entrepreneurs in Muaro Jambi Regency. This study employs a quantitative approach using explanatory research on 100 MSME entrepreneurs selected via purposive sampling. Data analysis was conducted using SEM-PLS with the assistance of SmartPLS 4. The results indicate that financial knowledge , financial attitude, and internal locus of control have a positive and significant influence on financial planning. Financial planning also mediates the influence of these three variables on financial management behavior. The novelty of this study lies in the use of financial planning as a mediating variable among SME entrepreneurs.

Abstract

High levels of academic burnout among accounting students may arise from heavy academic workloads, complex learning materials, and pressure to achieve high academic performance, potentially leading to lower academic achievement. This study examines the effect of academic burnout on the academic achievement of accounting students based on Stimulus-Organism-Response (SOR) Theory. Using a quantitative correlational design, data were collected from 40 Grade 10 and 11 accounting students at SMK Cendika Bangsa through questionnaires and academic records. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and simple linear regression. The results show that academic burnout has a negative and significant effect on academic achievement (p = 0.009; β = −0.338). These findings indicate that higher academic burnout is associated with lower academic achievement, highlighting the need for effective workload management and academic support.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the suboptimal contribution of the tourism sector to the Regional Original Revenue (PAD) of Banyuwangi Regency, despite the continuous increase in the number of tourists and tourism facilities. This study aims to analyze the effect of domestic tourists, international tourists, hotels, and restaurants on PAD in Banyuwangi Regency. This research uses secondary data in the form of time series from 2010 to 2024 obtained from relevant government institutions. The analytical method used is multiple linear regression using EViews software. The results show that, simultaneously, all independent variables affect PAD. However, partially, only the number of restaurants has a positive and significant effect on PAD, while domestic tourists, international tourists, and hotels have no significant effect. These findings indicate that an increase in the quantity of tourism indicators does not necessarily lead to higher local revenue. Therefore, tourism development should focus more on increasing the economic value of tourism activities, particularly through higher tourist spending and strengthening the culinary sector as a key source of local government revenue.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of social media use intensity on the academic achievement of accounting students at SMK Cendika Bangsa. A quantitative approach with an explanatory research design was employed. The population and sample consisted of 40 Grade 10 and 11 students selected using total sampling. Data were collected through a five-point Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using simple linear regression after conducting classical assumption tests, including normality and linearity tests. The results indicate that social media use intensity has a significant negative effect on students’ academic achievement. Higher social media use intensity is associated with lower academic achievement. Excessive social media use may reduce students’ learning focus, hinder their understanding of learning materials, and decrease active participation in the learning process. These findings support the Self-Regulated Learning perspective, which emphasizes students’ ability to regulate their learning activities and digital media use. The findings also provide practical implications for schools and teachers in promoting responsible and productive social media use among students.

Abstract

Students in the Office Administration Education program are prepared to become vocational high school (SMK) teachers specializing in Office Management and Business Services (MPLB); however, student interest in enrolling in the Teacher Professional Education Program (PPG) remains relatively low. This study aims to analyze the influence of perceptions of the teaching profession, career motivation, and educational costs on students’ interest in enrolling in the PPG. This study employs a quantitative approach using multiple linear regression analysis processed with SPSS version 32 software. The results indicate that (1) perceptions of the teaching profession do not significantly influence students’ interest in participating in the PPG; (2) career motivation significantly influences students’ interest in participating in the PPG; (3) educational costs significantly influence students’ interest in participating in the PPG. These findings indicate that students’ interest in enrolling in the PPG program is more influenced by career motivation and educational costs. Therefore, efforts are needed to strengthen career motivation through outreach on the career prospects of professional teachers, as well as the provision of funding schemes such as scholarships or PPG subsidies to reduce financial barriers and increase students’ interest in enrolling in the PPG program.

Abstract

This study was conducted to investigate the extent to which the dimensions of the Fraud Pentagon contribute to academic cheating behavior among Accounting Education students at Semarang State University, cohort 2022–2023, as well as to examine whether self-efficacy functions as a moderating variable in that relationship. Employing a quantitative survey design, a sample of 184 students was drawn using proportionate random sampling. Data were gathered via an online questionnaire and analyzed through multiple linear regression and Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA). The findings indicate that all five Fraud Pentagon dimensions — namely pressure, opportunity, rationalization, competence, and arrogance — both individually and collectively exert a significant positive influence on students' tendency to engage in academic fraud. In addition, self-efficacy was found to moderate this relationship in a negative direction, thereby attenuating the impact of the Fraud Pentagon dimensions on academic cheating behavior. These results imply that students with higher levels of self-efficacy are better equipped to resist the factors that typically drive academic dishonesty.

Abstract

Currently academic burnout among students has become an important concern because it has the potential to affect the psychological condition and well-being of students. This study aims to obtain empirical evidence related to the factors that determine academic burnout among FKIP UNS students. This study uses a survey design with Exploratory Factor Analysis. The population consists of 4,191 active students of FKIP UNS, with a sample of 365 students determined using proportionate random sampling. Data collection was carried out through the deployment of a four-point Likert scale questionnaire. Academic burnout was measured using the Academic Burnout Scale, while the determinant variables were measured using validated instruments. The results showed that there were three main factors that determined academic burnout, namely the condition resource factor (53.148%), the energy resource factor (17.410%), and the personal resource factor (12.293%). Condition resource factors include student characteristics, lecturer characteristics, social support, quality of educational processes, social skills, technological infrastructure, institutional facilities, cognitive needs, collective self-esteem, and campus climate. Energy resource factors include depression, family environment, anxiety, and learning engagement. Personal resource factors include academic motivation, self-efficacy, psychological capital, and academic stress.

Abstract

The convergence of digital banking and e-commerce platforms has reshaped Generation Z’s transaction behavior. However, easier access to digital financial services does not automatically result in prudent and sustainable financial service use. This study investigates how consumer behavior, financial literacy, and users’ trust in digital banking services influence sustainable financial inclusion by positioning Shopee-SeaBank adoption as a mediating variable. Employing an explanatory quantitative design, this study involved 183 Generation Z respondents from Malang City and the data were processed through SEM-PLS. The empirical findings reveal that consumer behavior, financial literacy, and trust in digital banking significantly and positively contribute to sustainable financial inclusion as well as Shopee-SeaBank adoption. Shopee-SeaBank adoption also exerts a positive influence on sustainable financial inclusion while serving as a partial mediator in the relationships linking the three antecedent variables to sustainable financial inclusion. The novelty of this study lies in positioning Shopee-SeaBank as an integrated pathway between digital banking and e-commerce, with implications for strengthening digital financial literacy, user trust, and prudent consumption behavior among Generation Z.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the concept, role, and model of entrepreneurial leadership among vocational high school (VHS) principals in promoting innovation in entrepreneurship education. The study employed an Integrative Literature Review (ILR) through the identification, selection, quality assessment, and thematic synthesis of 13 national and international articles published between 2014 and 2026 and retrieved from Google Scholar, Scopus, and Garuda. The findings reveal four key dimensions of entrepreneurial leadership: risk-taking, opportunity-seeking, resource mobilization, and innovation driving. These dimensions are manifested through teacher empowerment, the development of teaching factories and industry partnerships, cross-sectoral networking, entrepreneurship-oriented curriculum innovation, and the optimization of school resources and autonomy. The study proposes a conceptual model linking entrepreneurial leadership dimensions, educational innovation mechanisms, and graduate outcomes, including work readiness, entrepreneurial mindset, and competitiveness. Its novelty lies in integrating these three components into a comprehensive conceptual framework.

Abstract

The effectiveness of the learning process is determined not only by teachers' pedagogical and technological competence, but also by the quality of the learning environment. Therefore, a measurement instrument with established validity and reliability is required. This study aims to examine the construct validity and reliability of the TPACK and WIHIC instruments as representations of teaching practice and learning environment among 100 economics education students in East Java. Data were analyzed using Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) with Varimax rotation. Results show that all sub-constructs demonstrated adequate sampling adequacy and reliability, with a single factor extracted for each construct. Two WIHIC items were removed due to loadings below the cutoff. The instruments are proven valid and reliable for measuring educational elements among economics education students.
