Abstract

A study for development of carbon materials from coconut shell’s pyrolisis has beenconducted. The research aimed to study the utilization of polivinyl alcohol (PVA) asstimulant in charcoal enhancement through carbon material physicochemical properties.Calcination, mixing and high temperature sintering applied on the carbon technologyprocess. X-ray difraction analysis method (XRD), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM),Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy (EDS) for analyzed crystal structure as well as surfacetopography in the form of microstructure and carbon material substance analysis. Productcharacteristics of the carbon material showed changes of its character where changes inphysicochemical properties from amorf charcoal into carbon with semi-crystallinestructure.

Abstract

This study aims to determine: 1) The level of the tilt Samalona Island Beach, and 2) Type of bottom sediment grain for the benefit of coastal tourism in Makassar, South Sulawesi island Samalona. The scope of the research includes the measurement of Coastal Geomorphology parameters (substrate / sediment and slope of the beach). Measurement data in the form of data used for the slope of the beach then Samalona Island shoreline mapping and to determine the point of observation that can be exploited for the benefit of coastal tourism. Bottom sediment samples will be analyzed in the laboratory to determine the type of bottomsediment grains, so we get the value of the sorting that was one deciding factor whether or not safe observation point used as a beach tourist sites. The results showed that the level of Samalona Island beach slope is between 0.02 to 3%, which indicates that the island Samalona can be used as a beach resort with a beach slope levels were nearly flat, except in the southern part of the island at a depth of 17 meters which is only used by people are adept at swimming. For silt and clay (<0.063 mm) very rarely found at any observation point, there was even a 7 number of observation points that are not contained silt and clay, and the type of sediment at each point of observation is a kind of coarse sand. The region around the island waters Samalona have a goodbase material and not easily stirred (stable), seen from the sediment grain sorting in the category of medium to good. This indicates that the deposition process on the system hydrodynamics including calm waters, so it can be said that in terms of the condition of the material making up the bottom waters, in general this area deserves to be a tourist area, especially for the washing of the coast. Results of laboratory analysis showed that the type of sediment / substrate dominated by coarse sand with a grain size of 0.0063 to 2 mm, which is in the Medium category and the category Good Enough, so that the value is allowed for beach tourism activities such as swimming or diving

Abstract

– x= 0,2) dalam bentuk bulk yang disintesis dengan metode reaksi padatan. Struktur kristal paduan diamati dengan menggunakan XRD (x-ray Diffraction) dan sifat listrik dianalisis dengan menggunakan I-V meter El Kahfi 100. Hasil analisis XRD menunjukkan bahwa kristal NdBaCuO telah terbentuk dengan kualitas yang baik dengan nilai FWHM (full width at half maximum) yang kecil, sedangkan hasil pengukuran menggunakan I-V meter menunjukkan konduktivitas sampel berada pada rentang material semikonduktor. Sampel bulk dengan rasio molar x=-0,2 memiliki nilai konduktivitas paling tinggi yaitu 1,9327 Ω 1m-1 dan sampel dengan nilai konduktivitas paling rendah adalah variasi x = 0 yaitu 1,6295 Ω-1m-1. Meningkatnya konsentrasi Ba (x bernilai minus) mengakibatkan peningkatan nilai konduktivitas dan penurunan FWHM berlawanan dengan konsentrasi Nd.

Abstract

Penelitian merupakan eksperimen semu, yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh terhadap hasil belajar siswa yang diajar menggunakan media alat peraga pada materi sistem peredaran darah kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Bulukumba. Hasil analisis sttistik menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata hasil belajar untuk siswa kelompok eksperimen sebesar 79,3 dan kelompok kontrol sebersar 69,6, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh penggunaan media alat peraga terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada materi sistem peredaran darah kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Bulukumba.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan karakteristik gelombang dan pasang surut di perairan Pulau Dutungan Kabupaten Barru Sulawesi Selatan. Lingkup penelitian meliputi pengukuran parameter fisika oseanografi berupa pengukuran gelombang dan pasang surut. Dan data sekunder, berupa data pembanding seperti Peta LPI (Lingkungan Pantai Indonesia) dengan skala 1: 50.000, lembar 2010-2 dan 3, tahun 1993, Bakosurtanal, Edisi I (1993) dan Peta RBI sheet Barru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari hasil perhitungan MSL (menggunakan rumus MSL) diperoleh nilai MSL pasut di perairan pulau Dutungan sebesar 183,52 cm, sedangkan pasang tertingginya sebesar 242 cm dan pasang terendahnya sebesar 141,5 cm. Dari hasil pengamatan pasut dapat diketahui tipe atau jenis pasut yang terdapat di Pulau Dutungan adalah pasang surut tipe campuran condong ke harian tunggal (mixed tide prevailing diurnal) dalam satu hari terjadi satu kali air pasang dan satu kali air surut tetapi kadang-kadang untuk sementara waktu terjadi dua kali pasang dan dua kali surut dengan tinggi dan periode yang sangat berbeda.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan ekstrak daun manggis dalam menyintesis partikel-nano perak serta menentukan karakteristik partikel-nano perak yang dihasilkan. Larutan AgNO3 4 mM direduksi menggunakan ekstrak daun manggis selama 90 menit pada suhu 70°C. Keberhasilan reaksi reduksi dilihat dari munculnya serapan pada panjang gelombang 395 – 515 nm pada pengukuran serapan menggunakan spektrofotometer UV-Vis. Penentuan waktu reduksi optimum dilakukan dengan analisis spektrum UV-Vis larutan setiap 30 menit dengan larutan ekstrak daun manggis sebagai kontrol. Karakteristik partikel-nano perak yang dihasilkan, dianalisis dengan menggunakan instrumen SEM-EDS, dan PSA. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh menunjukkan waktu reaksi optimum adalah 60 menit, partikel-nano yang dihasilkan berbentuk acak serta cenderung untuk beragregasi dengan distribusi ukuran partikel-nano antara 204,23 nm – 562,49 nm dan diameter rata-rata 339,44 nm.

Abstract

This research was implementation of physics’ developmental learning through top down processes bassed on scaffolding to practice critical thinking skills. The results were described by physics achievement and critical thinking skills achieved by students of class XI after attending the learning process. This study used four-D model of development which consist of define, design, develop, and disseminate. The data of physics achievement and critical thinking skills acquired through the provision of tests. From the results obtained information that the students physics achievement by gain score category on average washigher while the critical thinking skills test results showed that only 3% of students werein the skilled category, while the average of student’s critical thinking skills was from limited proficiency to some proficiency category.Pearson correlation showed significant effect of physics achievement to critical thinking skills where 22,37% critical thinking skills wereexplained by physics achievement

Abstract

Thisis a qualitative research aimedatuncoveringthemistakes and difficulties ofmathematics education students of Unismuh in negating the definition of limit of function.Theresearchsubjectsweretwostudentsofthesecondsemesterofthemathematicseducation study program of Unismuh with high ability in mathematical logic. This studyused a methodological triangulation technique to check the validity of the data. It was toprovide the subjects with tests and interviews. There were two supporting instruments inthis study, namely, a test such a mathematical logic ability test which was used to select the students to be there search subjects, andatest for investigating their ability to negate the definition of limit of function. The results show hat the two subjects have similarities anddifferences. One of them experiences all the types of Newman errors, and the other onehasno transformation error type only. The two subjects experience the same difficulty indealing with statements with multiple quantifiers. They have difficulty in justifying thequantifier and its meaning. Also, difficulty in finding the function of thestatement andjustifying the part to negate

Abstract

Option is a contract between theholder and the writer in which the writer gives the right (not the obligation) to the holder to buy or sell an asset of a writer at a specified price (the strike or exercise price) and at a specified time in the future (expiry date or maturity time). There are several ways to determine the price of options, including the Black-Scholes Method and Binomial Method. Binomial method come from a model of stock price movement that divide time interval [0, T] into n equally long. While the Black Scholes method, the stock price movement is modeled as a stochastic process. More larger the partition of time n in Binomial Method, the value option will converge to the value option in Black-Scholes Method.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out the assistance in increasing the knowledge of fish resources conservation to women in Mamgarabombang District Takalar Regency. This research was conducted in five (5) coastal villages in the District of Mangarabombang, Takalar Regency. The population determined is all women who live on the coast. Researchers drew samples for respondents from 100 women using simple random sampling models. For determining the sample of informants to be interviewed, a purposive sampling technique was used. The techniques used in collecting data from research locations are interviews and questionnaires. Data analysis uses qualitative and quantitative analyzes which are prospective. The results showed that the lack of women's knowledge about conservation of fish resources in the District of Mangarabombang influenced the awareness of women in the conservation of fish resources. Women's full awareness of the rights and obligations as part of getting benefits from fish resources. The limited government budget causes extension programs or socialization about conservation of fish resources among the community is one of the obstacles. In addition, there are very few special field counselors who master the conservation of fish resources. So that it is hoped that through socialization, especially coastal women can bring benefits on how to properly manage fish resource conservation, because carrying out conservation will provide protection, use and preservation of resources for the availability or sustainability of fish resources for future generations. To support women's activities in the conservation of fish resources, a Women's Man agement of Fish Resources Conservation Group will be formed to increase women's knowledge and empowerment regarding conservation of fish resources.
