Abstract

Digital transformation encourages MSMEs to utilize technology that is able to improve operational efficiency, one of which is through the application of cloud computing. This study aims to analyze the influence of the application of cloud computing on the operational efficiency of MSMEs in the era of digital transformation. The research method uses a quantitative approach with a Likert scale questionnaire survey (1-5) to 37 MSME actors who use cloud-based services/applications. Data were analyzed using the PLS-SEM method with the help of SmartPLS 4 through the evaluation of the outer model (validity and reliability) and the inner model (hypothesis testing). The results of the analysis showed that the indicators met the criteria of validity and reliability, and the application of cloud computing had a positive and significant effect on the operational efficiency of MSMEs (β = 0.883; t = 15.381; p < 0.001). These findings indicate that the better the implementation of cloud services in business activities, the higher the operational efficiency felt by MSME actors. This study recommends MSMEs to expand the use of cloud applications according to operational needs, accompanied by increasing digital literacy and attention to data security.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated the adoption of cloud-based digital learning platforms, especially Google Classroom, as the main medium in online learning. This study aims to examine the influence of the use of cloud computing in Google Classroom on the effectiveness of online learning in the COVID-19 generation in Bogor City. A quantitative approach was used with the Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method to analyze data collected from 57 respondents through a structured questionnaire with a Likert scale. The measurement model was evaluated through validity and reliability tests, while the structural model was analyzed using the path coefficient and the determination coefficient (R-square). The results showed that the use of cloud computing in Google Classroom had a positive and significant effect on the effectiveness of online learning, with a path coefficient value of 0.640. The R-square value of 0.410 indicates that cloud computing is able to explain 41.0% of the variation in online learning effectiveness. These findings indicate that cloud-based learning platforms have an important role in supporting the effectiveness of online learning, especially for students whose learning experiences are greatly influenced by the pandemic. This research contributes to the digital learning literature by presenting empirical evidence from the local Indonesian context and offers practical implications for educational institutions in optimizing cloud-based learning systems.

Abstract

The development of digital communication has encouraged the use of expressive elements in advertising, one of which is emojis. Emojis are visual symbols representing emotions, ideas, and objects that enrich text-based messages and create more engaging interactions. In digital marketing, emotional aspects play an important role in shaping consumer perceptions and influencing purchase intention, defined as the likelihood of a person buying a product after evaluation. This study aims to analyze the effect of emoji presence in social media advertisements on consumers’ emotional responses and purchase intention. A quantitative method with an experimental design was applied to compare participants’ reactions to advertisements with and without emojis across product types. The results show that advertisements containing emojis generate higher positive emotional responses than those without emojis. Positive affect acts as a mediating variable that increases advertisement acceptance and strengthens purchase intention. However, no significant differences were found between the effectiveness of emojis for hedonic and utilitarian products. These findings confirm that emojis function as a universal communication tool that enhances engagement and emotional connection, allowing marketers to design more appealing and persuasive digital promotional content.
