Abstract

The development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology has affected the production and distribution of digital content on social media, especially TikTok. AI-based content such as deepfakes and synthetic videos have the potential to cause misperceptions if users do not have adequate digital literacy skills. This study aims to analyze the influence of digital literacy on students' ability to distinguish Artificial Intelligence (AI) content on TikTok social media. The research uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. Data was collected through a Likert scale questionnaire to 75 students of the Digital Business Study Program at Ibn Khaldun University Bogor who actively use TikTok. Data analysis was carried out using the Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method with the help of SmartPLS software. The results showed that digital literacy had a positive and significant effect on students' ability to distinguish AI content on TikTok, with a path coefficient value of 0.746 and a P-value of 0.000. These findings confirm that digital literacy plays an important role in shaping students' critical attitudes in dealing with AI-based digital content on social media.

Abstract

The failure of the Indonesian National Team to qualify for the 2026 World Cup became a national event that triggered various emotional responses and attitudes from the public, including among students. This study aims to analyze the influence of the failure of the Indonesian National Team to qualify for the 2026 World Cup on the level of nationalism of students of the Digital Business Study Program, Ibn Khaldun University Bogor. The research method used is a quantitative approach with data collection techniques through a Google Form-based questionnaire which is distributed to students of the Digital Business Study Program. The data obtained was analyzed using the Partial Least Square–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method with the help of the SmartPLS application. The independent variable in this study is the failure of the Indonesian National Team to qualify for the 2026 World Cup, while the dependent variable is the level of student nationalism. The results of the study show that the failure of the Indonesian National Team to qualify for the 2026 World Cup has an effect on changes in the level of student nationalism, with the value of the path coefficient showing a positive and significant influence. These findings show that national sports events have an important role in shaping student nationalism, especially in the context of emotional reactions, national pride, and support for the Indonesian National Team. This research is expected to be an academic contribution in the study of nationalism and student behavior and become a reference for future research.

Abstract

Betta fish exports have become one of the leading commodities that contribute to economic growth in West Java. This study aims to analyze the influence of betta fish exports on regional economic growth, using regression analysis methods and secondary data obtained from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) and the West Java Fisheries Service. The results of the study show that there is a significant positive relationship between the volume of betta fish exports and economic growth in West Java. The increase in betta fish exports contributes to the growth of the fisheries sector, job creation, and increased community income. In addition, this fisheries sector also has a positive impact on other sectors, such as trade and transportation, which also play a role in boosting the regional economy. Therefore, the further development of the fisheries sector, especially betta fish, through innovations in cultivation, product quality, and export market expansion, can be an effective strategy in increasing economic growth in West Java. This study concludes that the betta fish export sector has the potential to be an important pillar in regional economic development, and needs further support from the government and related stakeholders.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the intensity of social media use on the self-disclosure behavior of Generation Z. Generation Z is a group that grows in a digital environment and has a high level of social media use, so that social media is the main space for communicating and expressing themselves. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. The data was collected through a Likert scale-based questionnaire that was distributed to 78 Generation Z respondents who actively use social media. Data analysis was carried out using the Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method with the help of SmartPLS software. The results of the study showed that the intensity of social media use had a positive and significant effect on the self-disclosure behavior of Generation Z. The path coefficient value of 0.746 with a t-statistic value of 17.416 and a p-value of 0.000 showed that the higher the intensity of social media use, the higher the tendency of Generation Z to self-disclosure. This research provides an empirical contribution to the study of digital communication and provides an understanding of the communication behavior patterns of Generation Z on social media.

Abstract

The development of social media has changed the pattern of interaction between business actors and consumers, including in the Student Business Unit (UUM) managed by students. This study aims to analyze the influence of the use of social media on increasing interaction between the Digital Business Student Business Unit of Ibn Khaldun University Bogor and its consumers. This study uses a quantitative approach with the Structural Equation Modeling method based on Partial Least Squares (PLS-SEM). Data was collected through questionnaires distributed to student respondents and analyzed using SmartPLS software. The results of the analysis show that the use of social media has a positive and significant effect on interaction with consumers. The value of the determination coefficient (R²) of 0.824 shows that the social media utilization variable has a very strong predictive ability to explain the variation in consumer interaction. All research indicators were proven to be valid and reliable based on the outer loading values, Cronbach's Alpha, Composite Reliability, and Average Variance Extracted (AVE). These findings indicate that optimal use of social media can increase the intensity of communication, engagement, and long-term relationships between Student Business Units and consumers. This research provides practical implications for student business managers in designing social media-based digital marketing strategies more effectively.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of sleep quality on student academic productivity in the Work From Anywhere (WFA) era. Break time management is a major factor in increasing learning flexibility to determine academic success. The research method used is quantitative with the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) approach to test measurement and structural models. The results showed a significant positive relationship between sleep quality and academic productivity with a path coefficient value of 0.44. The model evaluation showed a high Composite Reliability value of 0.937 for sleep quality and 0.817 for productivity, as well as the fulfillment of convergent and discriminant validity. These findings indicate that any improvement in the quality of breaks contributes linearly to an increase in academic efficiency. The conclusion of this study emphasizes that in the midst of a flexible learning system, self-regulation in maintaining sleep quality is the main foundation for students to maintain concentration and academic performance. Universities are advised to provide education on sleep management to mitigate the negative impact of digital lifestyles in the WFA era.

Abstract

This study analyzes the comparison of the influence of QRIS and cash payment methods on the purchase decision of Digital Business students in the Business Stall of Business (SOB) Business Unit of Ibn Khaldun University Bogor. A Google Form questionnaire was used to collect data from 65 respondents, and PLS-SEM (SmartPLS) was used for analysis. Based on the test results, the purchase decision was positively and significantly influenced by QRIS (β=0.514; p<0.05) and cash payments (β=0.358; p<0.05). QRIS and cash payments can explain 46.4% variation in purchase decisions, based on the R-square value of 0.464. From the effect size value, QRIS has a more dominant influence (f²=0.475/large category) than cash (f²=0.230/medium category). These findings indicate that the convenience, speed, and efficiency of QRIS payments encourage student purchase decisions more than cash payments.

Abstract

The article discusses how social media has undergone a major transformation from just a communication tool to a major necessity in modern society. Based on data from We Are Social and Hootsuite, social media users in Indonesia will reach around 167 million people by 2024, with an average usage of 3–4 hours per day. This article uses a literature review method to analyze the shift in the function of social media, the transformation of people's behavior, and the positive and negative impacts of dependence on these digital platforms. The results of the study show that social media has succeeded in changing the way humans communicate, work, learn, and consume, but on the other hand it also poses a risk of mental health and overdependence. Therefore, it is necessary to increase digital literacy so that people can use social media more wisely and in a balanced way.
