Abstract

This study investigates the relationship between cognitive ability, organizational commitment, and employee performance in the context of Indonesia’s private-sector companies. Using a quantitative explanatory approach and SEM-PLS analysis, data were collected from 100 permanent employees to examine both direct and mediating effects. The results indicate that cognitive ability does not significantly influence employee performance directly. However, it has a significant positive effect on organizational commitment, which in turn strongly predicts employee performance. Furthermore, organizational commitment is found to mediate the relationship between cognitive ability and performance, highlighting its role as a psychological mechanism that converts cognitive potential into tangible outcomes. These findings suggest that cognitive ability alone is insufficient to enhance performance without emotional engagement and commitment. The study contributes to organizational behavior theory by affirming the importance of integrating cognitive and affective dimensions in human resource practices. Practically, organizations are encouraged to design interventions that not only develop intellectual capacity but also foster organizational commitment through leadership support, recognition, and alignment of values. This integrated approach is essential to maximizing employee potential and sustaining high performance in dynamic work environments.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of self-management and financial literacy on the management of online loan funds among young entrepreneurs in South Sumatra Province. The background of this research lies in the increasing use of online lending (financial technology lending) as an alternative source of financing for young entrepreneurs, which often leads to ineffective fund management due to poor self-regulation and low financial literacy. This study employs a quantitative explanatory approach with a population of young entrepreneurs in South Sumatra who have used online loans. A total of 120 respondents were selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS version 26. The results indicate that self-management and financial literacy have a positive and significant effect on online loan fund management, both partially and simultaneously. The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.512 shows that 51.2% of the variation in online loan fund management can be explained by these two variables, while the remaining 48.8% is influenced by other factors such as financial attitude, business experience, and social influence. The study concludes that self-regulation and financial understanding are key determinants of healthy and productive financial behavior among young entrepreneurs. The findings are expected to serve as a basis for local governments, financial institutions, and fintech providers in developing financial literacy and self-management training programs to encourage responsible and sustainable online loan utilization.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the role of the Polbeng Business Expo in enhancing the technological and marketing capabilities of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Bengkalis to face domestic market competition. Employing a mixed-methods explanatory sequential design, the research collected quantitative data from 100 MSME participants through surveys, supplemented by qualitative insights from in-depth interviews and focus group discussions. The findings demonstrate that the expo significantly improved participants' technological capabilities, including digital tool awareness, e-commerce utilization, social media marketing, and digital payment systems. Marketing capabilities, particularly brand identity development and digital content creation, also showed substantial enhancement. Regression analysis confirmed a strong positive impact of these enhanced capabilities on MSMEs' competitive performance. However, the study identified persistent barriers to long-term success, including limited digital literacy, financial constraints, and a critical lack of sustained post-expo mentoring. The study concludes that while the Polbeng Business Expo is an effective catalyst for initial capability building, its long-term impact requires a more integrated empowerment model. The research offers practical recommendations for expo organizers, educational institutions, and local governments, emphasizing the need for structured pre-expo assessments, an enhanced curriculum, and a robust post-expo support system to ensure sustainable MSME development.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an early warning system to detect potential financial distress at PT Garudafood Putra Putri Jaya Tbk using Machine Learning (ML) algorithms. A quantitative case study approach was applied using the company’s publicly available quarterly financial reports from 2019 to 2024. Five ML algorithms were tested: Logistic Regression, Random Forest, Naive Bayes, K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN), and Support Vector Machine (SVM). The Random Forest algorithm achieved the highest accuracy of 85.71%, with a precision of 100%, recall of 66.67%, and an F1-score of 80%. Operating Profit Margin and Debt to Asset Ratio were identified as the most significant indicators in detecting financial distress. The proposed model can serve as a decision-support tool for management, investors, and regulators to proactively anticipate financial problems and reduce bankruptcy risk through early intervention. Abstract

The rapid acceleration of digital transformation in Indonesia has significantly reshaped consumer behavior, especially within the highly competitive beauty and personal care sector on e-commerce platforms. This study aims to comprehensively examine the impact of pricing strategies and promotional activities on the sales performance of Skintific products. The analysis is based on consumer ratings and textual reviews collected directly from the Shopee Indonesia platform. Using a quantitative explanatory approach combined with a non-participant digital observation method, data were selectively gathered from the official Skintific store. The focus was placed on top-selling and highly reviewed skincare and makeup product bundles. The results indicate that pricing and promotions have a strong, interconnected, and statistically significant effect on consumer purchasing decisions. The application of value-based pricing and psychological pricing strategies, particularly through product bundling, effectively reduces consumer sensitivity to price while enhancing perceived value. In addition, promotional strategies such as flash sales and free shipping act as powerful drivers that accelerate purchase decisions, both for rational and impulsive buying behavior. Importantly, customer ratings and online reviews play a crucial moderating role. High ratings (averaging 4.9 out of 5.0) and detailed positive feedback serve as electronic word-of-mouth (eWOM), reducing perceived risk and strengthening the effectiveness of pricing and promotions. The study also highlights differences in behavior: skincare purchases tend to be more rational and review-driven, while makeup purchases are more influenced by promotions and trends. These findings contribute to digital marketing theory and provide practical insights for business strategy optimization.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of financial knowledge and financial attitude on debt management behavior among households in Bogor Regency, while examining the moderating role of home ownership status in these relationships. The research employs a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional survey design, collecting data from 200 heads of households in Bogor Regency using purposive sampling. Variables were measured using Likert scales and analyzed through descriptive statistics and hierarchical regression analysis to test the hypotheses and moderation effects. The results indicate that both financial knowledge and financial attitude have a significant positive impact on debt management behavior, with respondents generally demonstrating good financial knowledge (3.85) and debt management practices (4.01). Furthermore, home ownership status was found to moderate the influence of financial knowledge and attitudes on how individuals manage their debts, reflecting economic stability and long-term financial commitments. In conclusion, financial literacy and positive attitudes are fundamental to healthy debt management, while home ownership acts as a significant contextual factor that can strengthen these relationships. These findings suggest that financial literacy programs should be tailored based on home ownership segmentation to effectively improve household economic resilience
