Abstract

The purpose to be achieved in this research is to improve activities and students learning outcomes in subtheme the importance of their own health and the environment through the implementation of cooperative learning type of STAD. The approach applied in this research is the Classroom Action Research (CAR). Subject in this research is student of class V SDN Mangunharjo 02. Collecting data in this research using observation and test. Data were analyzed using reduction data, data exposition, and make a conclusion. The result research is show that: (1) there is an increased learning activities from first cycle to second cycle by 14%, (2) there is an increase learning outcomes from first cycle to second cycle by 30%.

Abstract

Creative thinking skill is high order thinking skill which must be empowered in education, because it is an important component in the development of science and technology. Creative thinking skill can be integrated into the curiculum that is implemented through learning activities such as science/biology or other subjects. The aims of this study are to develop RICOSRE learning model to empower the creative thinking skill. The study used the research and development design of PLOMP (1997), which consists of 5 phases, namely (1) initial investigation phase, (2) design phase, (3) realization/construction phase, (4) test, evaluation, and revisions phase, and (5) implementation phase. The result of this study was RICOSRE learning model consist of: Reading, Indentifying the Problem, Contructing the Solution, Solving the Problem, Reviewing the Problem Solving, and Extending the Problem Solving. The product has been validated with the results of content validity and construct validity are very good. The RICOSRE learning model can be implemented in learning to improve students’ creative thinking skill.

Abstract

This study aims to produce teaching materials that support the implementation of School Literacy Movement Programme to improve the effectiveness and productivity of thematic learning in fourth grade of elementary school students. The product of the developed teaching materials is designed with the literacy as the substance and the framework of TANDUR on Quantum Teaching as its presentation systematics. The research and development method used by Dick & Carey model. The results of the development stage were found: (a) the less effective and productive causes of the fourth-grade students' learning, and (b) the need for literacy-based teaching materials and are characterized by relevant Quantum Teaching. At the development stage generated literature-based thematic students book is characterized by Quantum Teaching and teacher's manual that has been tested feasibility.

Abstract

Students who are in junior high school should have been able to read children stories appreciative. However, based on the results of research that has been done, appreciative children's story reading skills in students is still low due to the model applied learning teachers have not been effective. This study is a follow-up that aims to identify effective learning model that can be used by teachers in teaching reading children stories appreciative. The learning model studied is a model of Group Investigation (GI) and Jurisprudential Inquiry (JI) to utilize the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method for support decision. The criteria on which the decision is motivation and student learning outcomes. Based on the analysis of data using SAW method, it is known that an effective learning model applied to teachers in teaching reading children's stories are appreciative GI learning model.

Abstract

This research purposes to describe scientific instruction using manipulative media to improve student’s conceptual understanding on addition and substraction of integers. This research is Classroom Action Research (CAR). The results showed that through observing, questioning, experimenting, reasoning, and communicating stages of scientific instruction can improve student’s understanding of mathematical concepts by 8.6% and the thoroughness of learning outcomes by 11.11% thereafter two cycles.

Abstract

One of the phenomenon in the 20th century that is currently being discussed is about emerging and the development of many social networking media. The media is now a trend all over among the people regardless of age, it is because social networking media provides convenience services in communicating, in particular interact and share information between human. If associated in the context of education, then social networking media to be one of the means of communication that can be utilized in the process of education management and learning for teachers.

Abstract

This article aimed to describe the implementation of teaching listening in junior high school seen from the planning, implementation, and assessment. The type of this qualitative study was phenomenology. The findings showed that there were three aspects found from the implementation of teaching listening. First, teaching listening in SMP was carried out under two conditions: (1) planning and (2) without planning. Second, the implementation of teaching listening was done by the four techniques: (1) using videos and record and taking notes focused on the main points, (2) using videos and listing questions, (3) using videos and answering questions, and (4) reading aloud the text directly and answering question. Thirdly, the listening assessment was integrated into the other assessment skills, for example writing.

Abstract

Text book is an instructional material which is often used in learning. Text book which is used in learning should be contextual with students’ characteristic and environment. The aim of this research is to develop supplement book in learning that is contextual Social Studies Textbooks which is valid, interesting, practical, and effective. Data are collected by questionnaire, test, and documentation. Based on data analysis, it shows that the text book is valid, interseting, practical, and effective to use in learning.

Abstract

This study aims to know the different influence of journal learning in the implementation of Learning Cycle 6E for metacognitive awarness of the students SMAN 8 Malang in the material of redoks. The research method is using quasy experiment with the kinds of pretest and posttest design. The data is collected by 52 statements in questioners of metacognitive awarness. The result of this study shows that there is the different metacognitive awarness for students who are learning by Learning Cycle 6E guided by journal of learning, and the students who are learning by Learning Cycle 6E without journal of learning.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how the aplication of Lesson study based cultural of Special Region Yogyakarta (DIY) in the class V. The problem in this research is how the implementation of lesson study based cultural of DIY in class VB SD Islam Surya Buana. The purposes of this study to determine the application of the lesson study based cultural of DIY in class VB SD Islam Surya Buana. Collecting data in this study using techniques of documentation, observation, and interviews. The data analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative analysis techniques. The results showed that the implementation of lesson study based cultur DIY study received a positive response from students and teachers.
