Misconceptions are errors in connecting concepts that result in understanding new ideas and concepts in students' minds into wrong concepts. This study aims to analyze the effect of critical thinking skills on misconceptions in magnetic field material. The research method used in this study is mixed method. In this study, the sampling technique used was a simple random sampling technique to take the sample from the population. The sample used was 30 students taken randomly through a lottery, so 30 students were obtained as samples. The data collection instruments used in this study were interview sheets and questionnaires. The research design used was a sequential explanatory design. From the descriptive results of the misconceptions data, it is found that the mean of students' misconceptions is 3.59, which means that students' misconceptions are still relatively low. The descriptive results of critical thinking skills data show that the mean of critical thinking skills is 64.03, which means students' critical thinking skills are in a good category. The regression coefficient indicates an influence of critical thinking skills on misconceptions that can be seen from F_ = 28,740 with a significance/probability level of 0.001 < 0.05. It was concluded that there was an effect of critical thinking skills on misconceptions, seen from the higher the value of critical thinking skills, the lower students experiencing misconceptions.

E-Learning also known as online learning became fully established during previous school year. This study aims to analyses students' perceptions of the usefulness of the E Belajar platform as a medium in the English online classroom, as well as the presences of English teachers. The method use is qualitative, consisting of a questionnaire and an interview. In a questionnaire, 56 students from one schools were asked to rate 20 statements on a five-point Likert scale. This school was chosen through purposive sampling because it used the E-belajar platform designed by ministry of education. In interview, there are five respondents through purposive sampling method to explore in depth usefulness of E-belajar and teachers presences. For the analysis, questionnaire data were analyzed using SPSS IBM Version 22, while the interview data were analyzed using thematic analysis. The result show that students preferred offline classes because the explanation of the learning materials was more obvious. In a face-to-face class, students can ask the teacher direct questions; they can maintain the offline class; they can gain more lessons in an offline class; they can understand more easily; they can enjoy themselves; the time in an offline class is more efficient; the explanation is clearer, and they can interact with the teacher. In summary, they acknowledged that E Belajar was beneficial in learning English and that teachers should consider using the digital platform during English online classes; however, teachers must guide and teach students accordingly.

Statistical literacy is a primary need for primary students as to skills in interpreting statistical data, and analyzing and solving statistical problems in the 21st century. However, statistical literacy for primary students is still inadequate. Moreover, there is still a lack of treffinger learning literature on statistical literacy for primary students. The aims of this study are to analyses the effect of treffinger learning on enhancing the statistical literacy of primary students. This study is quantitative study employs an experimental method and a pretest-posttest control group design. The subjects of this study are involving 40 students of class VI primary schools which divided into two groups. The experimental group is a class that follows mathematics learning using treffinger learning, while the control group is a class that uses conventional learning. SLT is use in determining statistical literacy level. The result of study found that overall average N-Gain results in both classes indicate achievement and enhancing statistical literacy through differences in SLS on medium criteria (0.3 ≤ g ≤ 0.7). When conducting the Wilcoxon test, it indicates 0.000 is less than the significance threshold of 0.05, so there is a difference in the average of the two classes, which means that the implementation of treffinger learning affects the statistical literacy of primary students. Hence, treffinger learning can enhance the statistical literacy of primary students.

Daily problems are often expressed in the form of math story problems. However, mathematics is often seen as scary because it is difficult to learn, causing errors in doing math story problems. The aims of this study is analyses the types of problem-solving errors in solving math story problems and analyses the factors that cause problem solving errors in solving math story problems. This research is a type of qualitative research with a case study approach. The subjects in this study were elementary school students in grade 5 with the object of research being student errors in answering math story questions. Data collection techniques using question answer sheets and interviews. The data analysis technique uses Miles and Huberman interactive data analysis techniques. The results showed that reading errors were 39%, comprehension errors were 81%, transformation errors were 88%, process skill errors as much as 90%, and writing errors in the final answer (encoding errors) as much as 90%. Cognitive factors that cause problem solving errors in math story problems are: memory weakness; the weakness of understanding; and weak analysis. The non-cognitive factors that cause problem-solving errors in math story problems are how students learn and how to teach teachers. Based on the results of the study, teachers need to improve students' abilities to reduce process skill errors and writing errors in the final answer.

Prospective science teachers' research proposals are still weak in reference sources because citations from national or international journals are still lacking. The main weakness comes from the reference sources and citation methods. This study aims to measure prospective science teachers' skills in exploring reference sources for scientific articles. Exploratory skills in this research are limited to organizing a theoretical review for a thesis proposal. This research uses mixed methods. Quantitative data is obtained from the score of research proposals prepared by 34 prospective science teachers as research targets, while qualitative data is from analyzing reference sources in research proposals. Each prepares one proposal so that there are 34 research proposals studied. From the results of the proposal assessment, prospective science teachers are still weak in using references that meet the criteria of >80% of journals and reference publication years that meet the criteria of >80% of publications in the last ten years. The study concludes that learning that equips prospective teachers in preparing research proposals requires a curriculum review. Students need more profound knowledge about references, starting from getting to know journals, selecting articles, looking for articles' findings, citing, and compiling a bibliography.

Thematic learning based on local wisdom, it is hoped that it can improve knowledge and learning outcomes and provide useful experiences for students. The purpose of this study is to analyses the planning, implementation and constraints of thematic learning based on local wisdom in the new normal period in elementary schools. The subjects of this study were classroom teachers and elementary school students. The method used is a qualitative method of phenomenology. This study uses interview, observation, and documentation guidelines. The data analysis technique used in this study consisted of three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The result of study found that, before carrying out thematic learning based on local wisdom, the teacher carries out planning by preparing learning tools. Students learn directly from nature and to increase students' awareness of nature, so that students can maintain and preserve local wisdom and love local wisdom in their area. The obstacle for teachers in the process of implementing local wisdom-based thematic learning in elementary schools is that the time allocation for thematic learning is still lacking and there is no integration between local wisdom learning materials in the curriculum that has been made by the school.

The Open University (UT) is one of the pioneer universities that implement distance learning. However, students still encounter learning difficulties which become obstacles in distance learning. The purpose of this research is to analyses the construct of learning difficulties of students’ learning at Open University and to compare the contribution of indicator variables to the construct. This research uses a combination method of Concurrent Embed model, the primary method used is factor analysis method (EFA and CFA) and qualitative descriptive method as a secondary method. The research respondents were 126 students who had attended the webinar tutorial (Tuweb) at least twice and voluntarily filled out the questionnaire. Primary data were collected through online questionnaires and interviews. Quantitative data were analyzed using EFA and CFA, while quantitative data were analyzed descriptively qualitatively. The results showed that there are six factors of learning difficulties, each of which consisted of 4-9 indicator variables. The indicator variables that contribute the most to learning difficulties in Tuweb according to student perceptions include: (1) there are no clear guidelines regarding the online learning procedures that are carried out; (2) learning materials/content delivered by online tutors are difficult to understand; (3) the internet signal is not stable/good from students’ location; (4) students' families are constrained in providing facilities for online learning/webinar tutorials due to low income; (5) students do not understand how to study online; (6) The device used by the tutor is constrained during the Tuweb learning process.
