Abstract

Acute injuries or acute trauma often occur as a result of accidents on the road or due to other activities such as exercising or working. Acute injuries require immediate attention to avoid complications and increase the victim's comfort. One method of acute trauma relief is PRICE (protection, rest, ice, compression, elevation). Karangpandan volunteers are a self-dedicated group working independently on their own initiative to help the community. Knowledge and skills in handling injuries are important things that they must master. The implementation method is in the form of training activities on PRICE, demonstrating skills in using the PRICE method in everyday injury management. This activity involved 24 volunteers from Karangpandan Volunteers. The method of assessing knowledge and skills uses a questionnaire and checklist sheet, each containing 10 question/observation items. The results of the activity show an increase in knowledge and skills regarding the use of the PRICE method by volunteers.

Abstract

This service activity aims to improve teacher competence in writing scientific articles according to Sinta-accredited journal standards. Using the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method, this program involves a partnership with the Wonosobo Science MGMP in intensive training and mentoring. The focus of activities includes improving understanding of the structure of scientific articles, from writing abstracts to compiling bibliographies using Mendeley. The program results showed a significant increase in teachers' motivation and writing competence, as evidenced by producing five articles successfully submitted to Sinta 2 and 3 accredited journals. Participant satisfaction surveys showed overwhelmingly positive assessments, with most responses in the excellent and sound categories. The success of this program highlights the importance of intensive mentoring in teacher professional development, particularly in the aspects of research and scientific publications. Recommendations for future program development include expanding coverage, strengthening institutional collaboration, and developing a digital platform to support program sustainability. This program has the potential to have a long-term impact on the quality of education through improving teachers' research and publication capacity, instilling confidence and optimism in the audience.

Abstract

The construction of religious moderation in children through dance in Babakan Mulya is a strategic initiative to strengthen moderate attitudes in a pluralistic society. Implemented by KKN Religious Moderation IV students using the Sisdamas approach, the program involved four cycles: initial socialization, social mapping, participatory planning, and program implementation and evaluation. Survey results revealed misconceptions about local arts being tied to specific religions. The program addressed this by promoting tolerance and diversity through cultural activities, such as dance group formation. Local teenagers trained the children in dance, enhancing interfaith and ethnic relations. The program ended with an evaluation showing increased understanding among children about respecting diversity and maintaining harmony. The final results indicated that children began to appreciate cultural and religious diversity, contributing to a more moderate and harmonious society in the future.

Abstract

Border areas are often associated with the complexity of identities, vulnerability to conflicts, and low security levels. This study aims to assist residents in border areas with diverse social, cultural, and religious differences. The selected areas are Gorontalo, which has a strong Islamic identity, and North Sulawesi, which is predominantly Christian. The study focuses on preachers and Quran teachers, as they hold a central role in conveying religious messages. The research method used is the Community Based Research (CBR) model with a descriptive approach. The results of the study found that religious moderation support through the internalization of moderate Islamic values, such as tolerance, rejection of violence, national commitment, and recognition of local traditions, successfully enhanced the understanding of religious moderation, although the increase was relatively small. Changes before and after mentoring, from understanding to a very understanding level of 10%. Understanding of moderation will be more optimal if mentoring activities are carried out continuously through formal and non-formal activities. This study recommends that religious moderation activities in formal forms need to receive non-formal mentoring in the form of implementing moderation values in everyday life so that they have relatively large potential in forming moderate attitudes in society's religion.

Abstract

The residents of Gili Island, better known as Oxygen Island, have an age composition with more than 40% of its residents being over 100 years old. This condition has sparked the curiosity of many researchers regarding its cause. Based on this background, an observation was conducted in the Gili area. Using several concepts from Asset-Based Community Development, it can be identified that Oksigen Island has many assets that must be developed. These assets consist of tangible and intangible objects. In contrast to previous results, which stated that the influence of clean oxygen with a level of 20.9% is what affects the longevity of the residents of Gili Island, the results of this service conclude that in addition to the beneficial oxygen levels, the determining aspect is obtained from intangible assets, namely the level of religiosity or religiousness of the island's residents which is good. The indicator can be seen from their activities, at every time the words of Tayyibah adorn their lives.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the role of Nyongkolan tradition in strengthening ukhuwah basyariyah in Sasak community, Lombok, through Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach. The background of this research is the phenomenon of modernization that affects local traditions, such as the shift from traditional musical instruments to more modern ones, as well as reduced community participation. This activity involves observation and active participation of the community in the implementation of Nyongkolan, with a focus on strengthening the values of interfaith and social brotherhood. The results showed that Nyongkolan serves as an important tool for strengthening social relations between citizens and interfaith tolerance, creating a space for interaction between Muslims and non-Muslims. In addition, it raises people's awareness of the importance of preserving local wisdom, and gives them a sense of pride in their cultural identity. The research also identified challenges faced in preserving this tradition, including the changing preferences of the younger generation and the pressures of modernization. Community participation in this study confirms the importance of the Nyongkolan tradition in maintaining social cohesion amidst socio-cultural changes.

Understanding the education of aqil baligh children is one of the important aspects in shaping the character of a good young generation, especially in the context of Islamic teachings. In the fast-paced digital era and globalisation, the challenges in educating the Muslim millennial generation are increasingly complex, especially in understanding and applying the concept of education in accordance with religious teachings. This study aims to actualise an understanding of the education of aqil baligh children based on the hadith of the Prophet Muhammad SAW in the Muslim millennial generation. Through counseling, discussions, and training, this community service programme educates parents, educators, and the general public about the importance of hadith-based education in preparing children to enter adulthood with solid moral, ethical, and faith. The expected results birutoto of this activity are increased public awareness and understanding of the importance of teaching in accordance with Islamic principles in the education of aqil baligh children, as well as the creation of a millennial generation of Muslims who are more qualified, noble, and ready to face the challenges of the times.
