Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the effect of assertive training techniques to improve the maturity of social relations of class X students of SMAN 8 Pekanbaru. This research was conducted at SMAN 8 Pekanbaru for 3 months. This type of research uses quantitative research with an experimental method using the One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design research design. The measuring instrument used in this study is the social relations maturity measurement scale which consists of 81 items before the validity, and after divalidity there are 47 valid items with validity of 0.344 and reliability of 0.925. Determination of the subject using purporsive sampling technique, and get the subject of 7 grade X students of SMAN 8 Pekanbaru who identified as having a low level of social relations mortality. The data analysis technique used is the non parametric statistical technique using the Wilcoxon analysis test. The results of the study proved that the research hypothesis was accepted. This is known from "Test Statistics", known as Asymp. Sig. (2-tailead) is 0.018. Because the value of 0.018 is smaller than <0.05, it can be concluded that "Ha is accepted". To that end, it can be concluded that there are differences in the maturity score of social relations before and after treatment in the form of assertive training techniques. The difference between the mean Pre-test and Post-test was 94.85. Thus Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. So it can be concluded that the assertive training technique can improve the maturity of social relations of class X students of SMAN 8 Pekanbaru. Key Words: Assertive training, maturity of social relations.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the description of students' self-confidence before and after given the pantun-reply technique, differences in students' self-confidence before and after given the pantun-reply technique and to increase students' self-confidence through group guidance. This research was conducted at Pekanbaru Muhammadiyah 1 Middle School towards 8 subjects with purposive sampling technique. The design of this study was pre-experiment with the one group pretest-posttest model. The data collection instrument used was an instrument consisting of indicators of student self-confidence before and after being given the pantun reply technique through group guidance with a significant value of 0.012 <0.05. The confidence of the 8 previous students was in the low category, increasing after being given the pantun reply technique through group guidance, most of which were in the high category. In addition, based on the rank spearman test, it was observed that there was a significant effect of the pantun reply technique on students' self-confidence by 78% while 22% was influenced by other factors that came from within the students and the environment.Key Words: Pantun Rewarding Technique, Self Confidence, Group Guidance

Abstract

Abstract: The descriptive reading comprehension ability of eighth grade students in SMP Negeri 2 KUTA (North Kundur) aims to know what is the level of the descriptive reading comprehension ability of eighth grade students in SMP Negeri 2 KUTA (North Kundur) and to know is there the difference of the descriptive reading comprehension ability of eighth grade students in SMP Negeri 2 KUTA (North Kundur) between classes reading is one aspect of indonesian language teaching in various school. One the activites of reading is reading understanding, where to produce a perfect reading have to do the reading skill of understanding this description text is a text which describe a real object. The method which used for this research is quantitative method. This test is carried out using parametric test, where the test uses one sample t test and one-way ANOVA test. Based on the result of the test, the conclution that the descriptive reading comprehension ability of eighth grade students in SMP Negeri 2 KUTA (North Kundur) was very low and there were the differences of the descriptive reading comprehension ability of eighth grade students in SMP Negeri 2 KUTA (North Kundur) between classes.Key Words: Descriptive text, reading comprehension.

Abstract

Abstract: This research was a study on the speaking ability in expressing invitation of the second year students of SMA As-Shofa Islam Pekanbaru.The aim of this research was to know about the second year students speaking ability in expressing invitation at SMA Islam As-Shofa Pekanbaru. The population of this research was the second year students of SMA Islam As-Shofa Pekanbaru that divided into 4 classes, with total 91 students. The sample of this research was class X1 MIA 2, with total 22 students.The instrument of this research was expressing invitation in role play. In conducting this research, a set of expressing invitation in role play card was used to know students’ speaking ability. To get the quantitative data in this research, the three raters were involved to give the scores of students speaking ability. The mean score of students’ ability in speaking from the first rater was 79.2, (good level). The second rater’s mean score was 78.8, (good level). Lastly, from the third rater was 80 (good level). The research finding also shows that students got the highest mean score in terms vocabulary (4.1) and got the lowest mean score in terms of pronunciation (3.7). In conclusion, from the three raters in five aspects of speaking ability, the average of speaking ability of students at the second year of SMA Islam As-shofa Pekanbaru were 79.3 (good level).Keywords : descriptive research, students’ speaking ability

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine whether there is a significant relationship between students' perceptions towards teacher creativity in teaching with interest in learning mathematics in class V SDN 167 Pekanbaru. This research was conducted in Pekanbaru SDN 167 in January 2019, this research is a quantitative study with a sample of 40 students. The data used in this study are primary data obtained from questionnaire data. Data collection techniques were obtained from student perception questionnaires towards teacher creativity in teaching and mathematics learning interest questionnaires given to students. Data were analyzed by statistical techniques using SPPS Version 23. Software Based on data analysis, the results of the study showed that there was a significant relationship between student perceptions towards teacher creativity in teaching with fifth grade mathematics interest in SDN 167 Pekanbaru with a contribution of 30.9%.Key Words: Student perception, teacher creativity, interest in learning

Abstract: Seeing the increasing number of family households from Flores, East Nusa Tenggara, that settled in Duri, so as to clarify the direction or purpose of both resolving the issue of adat, especially marriage and so on, as well as the feeling of being together and loving the homeland, plus due to the development of the times that affected the change, the number of Flores people who married tribes outside the area of origin because of migrating, so that the young generation of Flores in Duri still did not know the traditions of their respective regions, especially Manggarai, making the Flores community various tribes in Duri took the initiative to establish an organization or association called the Association of Flobamora. The purpose of this research is to find out the background of the formation of Flobamora in Duri Mandau Subdistrict, to find out the views of Flores people, especially Manggarai, on the existence of Flobamora in Duri, Mandau Subdistrict and to know the role of Flobamora in the Manggarai tradition in Duri, Mandau Subdistrict. Mandau community towards the existence of Flobamora. The research uses qualitative research and data collection techniques in the form of literature, documentation, observation and interviews.The results of this study indicate that the Flobamora Association took part in the indigenous traditions of the Manggarai Flores community, some of which were still carried out in Duri Mandau District as being a liaison for fellow Flores people who wanted to get married, mediators in every issue and driver of customary values every tradition by the Flobamora community itself.Key Words: Flobamora, Tradition, Role

Abstract

Abstrak: From the results of the interviews with the parents of children who send her son in Raudatul Athfal al Hidayah Opposite Tembilahan about sibling rivalry known there are 64 children in kindergarten A, there is a half or 38 children who have siblings in the the House. Formulation of the problem in this research are: Whether there is influence of the communication style of parents against the sibling rivalry between the ages of 5-6 years in Raudatul al Hayah Athfal Opposite Tembilahan Indragiri Hilir Regency? The population in this research is elderly Raudatul Athfal al Hidayah Indragiri Hilir Regency Tembilahan Opposite. As for the number of parents is 142 parents who have children attending Raudatul Athfal al Hidayah. Then the sample in this research is as many as 85 people. Based on the research results and discussion, conclusions can be taken there is the influence of parents ' communication styles against Sibling Rivalry between the ages of 5-6 years in Raudatul al Hayah Athfal Opposite Tembilahan Indragiri Hilir Regency. The great influence of the style of communication of the elderly against a Sibling Rivalry between the ages of 5-6 years in Raudatul al Hayah Athfal Opposite Tembilahan Indragiri Hilir Regency of 62.3%.Key Words: Communication Style, Sibling Rivalry

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to know the level and relationship between self esteem and interpersonal communication of PAUD teachers in Tempuling Subdistrict of Indragiri Hilir Regency. The samples in this research were PAUD teachers in Tempuling Subdistrict of Indragiri Hilir Regency which amounted to 52 teachers. The method used is Person Product Moment correlation to see the relationship between self esteem variable and interpersonal communication. Data collection techniques used were questionnaires in the form of a Likert scale. Data analysis techniques use scale trials and statistical method analysis. From the results of the study, the level of self-esteem of teachers is in the high category with a percentage value of 79.62% and the level of interpersonal communication of teachers is in the high category with a percentage value of 82.19%. Based on the results of hypothesis testing obtained there is a positive and significant relationship between self-esteem and interpersonal communication of PAUD teachers throughout Tempuling District, Indragiri Hilir Regency. This can be seen from the correlation coefficient value of rxy = 0.383 and the determinant coefficient value generated is KD = r2 x 100% = 14.7%, meaning that self-esteem has an influence of 14.7% on interpersonal communication.Key Words: Self esteem, Interpersonal communication

Abstract

Abstract: This research is aimed at finding out whether or not there is a significant effect of using picture series as media in teaching writing of the third year students of MTS Muhammadiyah 02 Pekanbaru in the Academic Year 2018/2019 in writing narrative text. The research design is experimental research with one group pre-test– treatment – post-test design. The sample of the research was 30 students IX 5 chosen by using cluster random sampling technique. The data were collected by giving a writing test about a narrative text (pre-test and post-test) to the students. The data were analyzed by using t-test formula. The results of data analysis showed that the mean score of the posttest was higher than the mean score of the pretest (62.73 > 50.22). The value of the t-test was 7.65 while the value of the t-table in significance level of 5% df=23 is 2.069. Since the value of the t-test was higher than t-table, it can be concluded that Alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted and the Null Hypothesis (Ho) was rejected. It means that there was a significant effect of using picture series as media in teaching writing to the third year students of MTS Muhammadiyah 02 Pekanbaru. It is suggested that Picture Series is appropriate to be applied in teaching to improve students’ writing ability, especially in writing narrative texts as media.Key Words: Picture Series, Writing ability, Narrative Text

Abstract

Abstrack:This study aimed to determine the effect of negative reinforcement to increase learning motivation of fifth grade science students in elementary school. These transactions are carried out in primary research school 177 Pekanbaru on the class. The data collection method is using video shoot and questionnaire. The study was conducted 5 meetings 5 times in class VA and VB . In VA, the teacher used more the negative reinforcement rather than in VA. Moreover the result of motivation thet students have in VA higher than student in VB. The impact of the use of negative reinforcement learning motivation in class that raises false or not permanent and cause discomfort among students and teachers. To reduce it to the teachers should do more active learning more engaging students.Key Words: Negative reinforcement, learning motivation
