Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to describe students' cognitive learning outcomes in studying physics by using Mobile Augmented Reality-based learning media on the material of the earth's layers and disasters and to determine the differences in students' cognitive learning outcomes between the class that uses Mobile Augmented Reality-based learning media and the class that does not use the Mobile Augmented Reality-based learning media in the seventh grade of junior high school (SMP). The problem in this study is the low student learning outcomes due to the lack of learning media variation so that the students cannot fully understand and become less interested in the learning process. The research was conducted in grades VII A and VII B of SMP Negeri 03 Guguak District in April-December 2021 with a total of 30 students. This type of research is experimental research with Intact Group Comparison design. Class VII B as the experimental class became the class where the learning media based on Mobile Augmented Reality was applied, while class VII A as the control class did not use the Mobile Augmented Reality-based learning media. The data collection technique in this study was collected by giving a posttest to the experimental class and the control class. The data analyses used in this research are descriptive and inferential analysis. The results showed that the use of Mobile Augmented Reality-based media could improve the students' cognitive learning outcomes on the earth's layers and disasters materials with an average percentage of students' absorption is 75% of the students are in the good category and the effectiveness level is in the effective category. The significance value of the T-Test is p (0.010) <0.05, so it can be concluded that there is a significant difference in students' cognitive learning outcomes between the experimental class and the control class.Keywords: Learning Media, Mobile Augmented Reality, Cognitive Learning Result

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic on PJOK subjects in class X science students at SMA Negeri 4 Padangsidimpuan. The time of this research was carried out from September to November 2021. This type of research was descriptive with the number of samples in this study 160 people. This research instrument uses a questionnaire, to test the questionnaire with validity and reliability, then the data is analyzed by the percentage % formula to determine the amount of classification of data acquisition. From the results of data analysis on the implementation of online PJOK learning, 30 people were categorized as very good at 19.5%, then in the good category there were 124 people at 80.5%, and none were in the sufficient, less good, and very poor categories. From the results of the analysis of the research questionnaire data filled out by the principal, vice principal, and PJOK subject teachers in the implementation of online PJOK learning, 4 people are categorized as very good at 67%, then in the good category there are 2 people at 33%, and not some are in the category of sufficient, not good, and very poor.Key Words: Overview, Online Learning, PJOK

Abstract

Abstract: Learning outcomes are results that must be achieved after the learning process takes place. One aspect of learning outcomes is cognitive learning outcomes. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the application of the STAD type cooperative learning model assisted by Quizizz media on students' cognitive learning outcomes. The type of research used is experimental research with a quasi-experimental design "Nonequivalent control group design" with a "posttest only control group design" model. The population of this study were all students of class X IPA at SMA Negeri 1 Tambang for the academic year 2021/2022 with a sample of 59 students consisting of class X IPA 1 as a control class with 31 students and class X IPA 2 as a experimental class with 28 students. The data collection instrument was in the form of a cognitive learning outcome test for Newton's law class X which consisted of 10 multiple choice questions and 5 essay questions. The data analysis used was descriptive analysis through student absorption and inferential analysis through normality test, homogeneity test and Mann Whitney test with the help of SPSS version 22. The results showed that the absorption of students in the experimental class was better than the control class and there were significant differences in the results students cognitive learning between the experimental class that applies the STAD type cooperative model assisted by the quizizz media and the control class that applies the conventional learning model.Keywords: Student Learning Outcome, cognitif Student Learning Outcome, Cooperative Learning, STAD, Quizizz, Newton Law’s

Abstract

Abstract: This study is based on the phenomena encountered during pre-research which showed that student learning discipline was low during online learning and also student responses regarding the contributions made by Civics teachers in terms of disciplining student learning at SMPN 6 Singingi Hilir. The formulation of the problem in this study is how students' perceptions of the role of PPKn teachers in improving student learning discipline at SMPN6 Singingi Hilir. The purpose of the study was to see how students perceive the role of Civics Education teachers in improving student learning discipline at SMPN 6 Singingi Hilir. The benefits of this research are expected to help become a source of knowledge and contribute to the world of education related to writing scientific papers about the role of Civics teachers in student learning disciplines. This type of research is descriptive quantitative, with the instrument of data collection using a questionnaire. The population of this research is the whole students of SMPN 6 Singingi Hilir, totaling 147 people, with a sample of 25% of the total population to 37 respondents using simple random sampling technique. From the results of the study, it was concluded that students' perceptions of the role of PPKn teachers in improving student discipline at SMPN 6 Singingi Hilir were in the "Very Good" category. This is in accordance with the results of respondents who answered "Very Often" amounted to 43.08% plus respondents who answered "Often" amounted to 37.1% with a result of 80.18%, where this range is in the Very Good category. Therefore, it can be concluded that students' perceptions of the role of Civics Education teachers in improving student discipline at SMP Negeri 6 Singingi Hilir are "Very Good".Key Words : Study, Perception, Role, Civics Teacher, Learning Discipline

Abstract

Abstract This research was motivated by the awareness that during the Covid-19 pandemic, the world of education underwent changes, where previously learning was carried out in schools and currently learning is done online. When the researchers conducted interviews with several class IX students at SMPN 1 Sabak Auh where there were differences in perceptions about the Perceptions of Class IX students at SMPN 01 Sabak Auh, Siak Regency towards Online Learning Media (Whatsapp Group). The formulation of the problem in this study is "What is the Perception of Class IX Students at SMPN 01 Sabak Auh, Siak Regency towards Online Learning Media (Whatsapp Group)?". This study aims to determine the perception of class IX students at SMPN 01 Sabak Auh, Siak Regency towards Online Learning Media (Whatsapp Group). This research is a descriptive quantitative research instrument in data collection is an interview with 5 questions and a questionnaire. the population in this study were all grade IX students. Where students are taken as a sample of 20 people. Questionnaires were distributed with 23 questions which were distributed directly. Based on quantitative descriptive analysis of data to determine the perception of Class IX students at SMPN 1 Sabak Auh, Siak Regency, on Online Learning Media (Whatsapp Group). Based on the calculation results, it was found that based on the recapitulation of the 2 indicators, the respondents answered Strongly Agree + Agree, namely 18.5% - 85.5% = 67%. The recapitulation results are in category 2 in the range of 50.01% - 75% = Good. Thus, it can be concluded that the perception of Class IX students at SMPN 1 Sabak Auh, Siak Regency towards Online Learning Media (Whatsapp Group) is at a good level. Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to describe the influence of parents' socio-economic conditions on the motivation to continue their education to higher education in class XII Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 02 Kampar Academic Year 2021/2022. This research is a type of quantitative descriptive research, the research population is 121 students of class XII Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 02 Kampar Academic Year 2021/2022. The sampling technique in this research is simple random sampling, the total number of samples is 55 students. Data collection techniques using a questionnaire. Data analysis used simple regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that the socioeconomic conditions of parents have a significant effect on the motivation to continue their education to college.Key Words: Parents' Socio-Economic Condition, Motivation to Continuing Education

Abstract

Abstract: This research discusses about implicatures in interrogative utterances on Anime Detective Conan (Meitantei Conan). The purpose of this research is to explain what the meaning and intent of implicatures are in interrogative utterances on anime. The research uses the theory proposed by Grice (1975) on implicature and uses the analysis theory means-end by Geoffrey Leech (1993). The research method uses is a qualitative descriptive method. The data is obtained by listening to the conversations spoken by the characters. Then the interrogative utterances containing implicatures will be recorded and marked. The results of this study found as many as 25 implicature data in interrogative utterances, namely commanding implicatures, complaining implicatures, mocking implicatures, insinuating implicatures, suggesting implicatures, and affirming implicatures. It can be concluded that the implicature in interrogative utterances is used to maintain politeness in conversation.Key Words: Implicature, Interrogative Utterances, Theory Means-End, Detective Conan,Japanese Anime

Abstract

Abstract: Tradition is a habit in which there is knowledge, understanding, beliefs and habits that guide people in carrying out their lives. Tradition has an important meaning for the life of a particular society. The tradition that is still maintained in the life of the Talang Mamak tribe is the Basolang tradition. The purpose of conducting the research is to analyze the Basolang tradition of the Talang Mamak tribal community. The type of research used in this study are ethnographic research methods incorporated into qualitative research. The source of data in this study is the Talang Mamak tribal community. Data collection methods used are observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique used is data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of this research indicate that the Basolang tradition is an agricultural activity with various activities. The process of activities in the Basolang tradition is carried out according to the customary rules and beliefs of the Talang Mamak tribe that have been in effect since the time of the ancestors until now. This is apparent from the results of interviews conducted by researchers with the Talang Mamak tribal community.Key Words: Basolang Tradition, Talang Mamak Tribe Society

Abstract

Abstract: this descriptive research is aimed to find out the awareness of reading strategies of the third semester students of English Study Program FKIP Universitas Riau. The sample of this research is one of three classes of the second year students of English Study Program which were chosen by using cluster random sampling technique. The number of sample is 37 students. The data were collected by giving a set of questionnaire to the students individually. The questionnaire is about Survey of Reading Strategies (SORS) with 3 indicators is Global Reading Strategies (GLOB), Problem Solving Strategies (PROB), and Support Strategies (SUP). The students score were analyzed by using the frequency and percentages of each item. The results were divided into 3 categories. Then, the range of each category is found by using the formula as stated by Gay which is fall into 3 categories: high, moderate and lowest. The finding showed that more than half of the total number of the students have good ability in using a reading strategies. They are 26 students (70.27%) in moderate level. There are 9 students (24.32%) who are in high level and 2 students (5.40%) who are in low level. It can be concluded that the students’ ability in reading strategies is in good level. This study recommended the students to keep improve their ability, because there is no any limitation in developing the ability, so that it is better for the students to keep improved their ability.Key Words: Study, Ability, Reading, Strategies
