The tourism industry is an industry that can absorb many creative economic markets. The purpose of this paper is to evaluate the creative economic activities as added value that support the tourism industry. The creative economy analyzed here is the creative fashion economy, which is one of the supporters in providing direct income and advertising as a downstream chain of tourism to convey messages to consumers. Method used qualitative and quantitative by looking for regression between income and costs and based on questionnaires conducted on consumers. The results showed a relationship between costs of advertising incurred with income derived from visitor. In a qualitative analysis in the fashion subsector, fashion can contribute a value of 10-12% to revenue. To accelerate in this industry is by knowing the various sub-sectors that are part of the tourism industry value chain and increasing creativity and innovation of creative economic products (fashion and advertising).

Abstract

Batur Global Geopark is one of the new tourism attractions being developed by the government in Kintamani, Bali. This new attraction has not contributed significant impacts to the number of tourists visiting Kintamani. Lack of site managemenet and promotion are among the causes. This study analyzes the response of tourists towards the development of Batur Global Geopark based on attitudes, perceptions, and participation. Data collected by observation, in-depth interviews, surveys, and analyzed using Likert scale by giving score against to the response. The study shows that the development of Kintamani geopark is expected to be one of the tourism products which could providea new attraction for tourist to come to Kintamani. Accordingly, the government needs more in-depth introduction of Batur Global Geopark by creating special tour itinerary to attaind the purpose of conservation, education, and geotourism.

Abstract

Indonesia has many areas with the various tourism potentials but faces obstacles in the management, one of them is Suranadi Tourism Village in Narmada District, West Lombok Regency. This research aimed to analyze 1) the potential and tourism management system in Suranadi Tourism Village; 2) internal and external factors affecting the development of Suranadi Tourism Village; 3) the development strategy of Suranadi Tourism Village. This research applies some theories such as tourism destination development theory by Cooper (1993), irridex theory by Doxey (1976), and tripartite attraction design theory by Gunn (1972). This research used qualitative approach with descriptive method. Data obtained through interviews and observation. The method of data analysis in this research is by qualitative data analysis and SWOT analysis. The results showed that the potential of Suranadi Village as a cultural tourism village that is the potential of nature and culture. The various of potentials in the Suranadi Tourism Village as a whole has not managed professionally and optimally so that economic benefits are not fully felt for local community. The results of SWOT matrix analysis showed that there are four alternative strategies generated such as SO strategy (Strengths-Opportunities), ST strategy (Strengths-Threats), WO strategy (Weaknesses-Opportunities), WT strategy (Weaknesses-Threats). Abstract

Vatuvou beach, located in the Village Vatuvou, Liquica District      of East Timor, has the potential to be developed into a tourist attraction, but until now its potential has not fully developed yet. The aim of this study is to determine the potential of Vatuvou Beach, to know how the local community have been involved to develop Vatuvou beach, to formulate the most effective strategies to develop it has a community based tourist attraction. The results of this study indicated that Vatuvou coastal region could be used as a tourist attraction in the District of Liquisa, because it has the existing potential such as beach panorama with sunset, black sandy beaches and under–sea wealth, availability of facilities and infrastructure to support tourism, such as water, electricity, road, telecommunication, public toilets, parking, and accommodation (but still limited). Socio-cultural potential as hospitality of the people in the village of Vatuvou, traditional activities, such as handcrafted, and rituals performed by people in the village of Vatuvou. In addition, the strategic location of the Vatuvou beach easily leads to some nearby tourist attraction, such as lake Maubara, Maubara Fort, historical buildings of Portuguese’s heritage, and souvenir center. The involvement of community participation in the coastal development of Vatuvou has been through the initial proceses, namely planning stage, development and evaluation of activities that have been implemented. Through the description, it can be concluded that the strategy of tourism development of Vatuvou beach can be made by the following procedures (1) Increasing the quality and quantity of human resources in tourism, (2) Inviting foreign or local investors to the potential of the existing tourism sectors, (3) Developing the potential of cultural as tourist attractions, and (4) Improving tourism facilities and infrastructure to support tourism activities in Vatuvou coastal areas.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how the development strategy of Lembang Dano situ in Village of Cipada, and to get the right strategy for the development of Lembang Dano tourist attractions. The data has taken of primary data and secondary data, where primary data is obtained from questionnaires and interviews to predetermined sources and secondary data obtained from agencies and agencies related to this study. The analytical tool used the SWOT analysis method the results of the research show that the development strategy needs to first determine the factors that are strengths and weaknesses (internal environment) ourism potential in Lembang Dano Cipada Village, then combines with the opportunities and threats from outside (external environment). Abstract

The objective of this study is to channel creative potential in creating an eco-tourism. The research was carried out in the area a national park in the region of the ex Besuki Residency, East Java. This study used ethical and emic perspectives. The results show that the development of responsible and sustainable of eco-tourism require gure of mobilisers, community togetherness, public appreciation of the natural resources, community openness to receive visitors, the growth of natural-based creative economy sectors, and the government’s attention in providing infrastructure especially for accessibility. The novelty of this study is the importance of understanding the development of eco-tourism which is based of creative instinct, appreciating local wisdom’s values, understanding, comprehending and embracing the meaning and essence of keeping the relationship between humans and humans, nature and the Creator in balance. Intellectual capability with local indigenous power is such the main factor for a responsible, bene cial, and sustainable development of eco-tourism.

Abstract

Aera Branca Metiaut merupakan salah satu kawasan wisata potensial di Kabupaten Dili Ibukota Timor Timur yang kaya akan keindahan alam namun tidak berkembang dengan baik untuk daya tarik wisata. Dengan demikian peran pemerintah diperlukan untuk meningkatkan partisipasi masyarakat untuk mengembangkan daerahnya sebagai daya tarik wisata. Penelitian ini mengkaji peran pemerintah dalam pengembangan Aera Branca menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif-deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan teknik observasi dan wawancara mendalam. Analisis data teknis yang digunakan kualitatif-deskriptif dan analisis matriks SWOT. Studi ini menunjukkan bahwa ada faktor-faktor yang mendukung dan menghalangi dalam upaya untuk mengembangkan Area Branca Metiaut sebagai tujuan wisata. Faktor pendukung meliputi keindahan alam dari daerah dengan pantai berpasir putih yang menakjubkan. Faktor-faktor kendala termasuk kurangnya infrastruktur, sumber daya manusia, dan fasilitas pariwisata. Melalui analisis SWOT itu dipilih strategi terutama pentingnya pemerintah untuk memainkan perannya terutama dalam regulasi dan kebijakan dalam penyediaan infrastruktur dan mendorong masyarakat untuk meningkatkan sadar wisata.

Abstract

COVID-19 is a pandemic disease that has infected many cities in Indonesia, the impact caused by the spread of COVID-19 involves many aspects including economic, social, cultural, tourism and many more. Based on the problems mentioned above, this article is intended to describe the impact of COVID-19 on tourism in the city of Bandung which is one of the tourism city in the province of West Java, this article is also intended to recommend what policy should be made by the government of the Bandung City to restore tourism to the condition before the COVID-19 outbreak. This study uses a model building method with a descriptive analysis approach. The results revealed that tourism is one of the sectors most affected by the COVID-19 outbreak in the city of Bandung, efforts to restore tourism from COVID-19 must be comprehensive and sustainable. Bandung City Government and tourism entrepreneurs are demanded to carry out communication and coordination to develop tourism recovery policy instruments which include internal recovery efforts such as disaster management, organizational capacity building and external recovery efforts such as tourism relaxation policy and tourism promotion. Abstract

Dalam satu dekade terakhir, Pemerintah Kota Denpasar menggelar Denpasar Festival (Denfest) setiap tahun pada bulan Desember. Tahun 2016 merupakan pelaksanaan Denfest ke-9 dan sebagaimana biasa dalam hampir seminggu pelaksanaan selalu menarik ribuan pengunjung. Selain untuk mempromosikan produk kreatif Kota Denpasar, festival ini juga untuk promosi Denpasar sebagai destinasi wisata. Artikel ini menganalisis eksistensi Denfest untuk mendukung pariwisata berbasis kreatif kota Denpasar dan sejauh mana partisipasi masyarakat terhadap Denfest. Data dalam penelitian ini dikumpulkan dari observasi dan wawancara. Dengan menggunakan analissi SWOT, ditemukan beberapa kelemahan dan peluang yang dijadikan titik tolak untuk menyusun strategi pelaksanaan Denfest sesuai dengan tujuan yang diharapkan untuk mendukung Denpasar sebagai destinasis wisata berbasis ekonomi kreatif.

Abstract

The urgency of this research was the utilization of Melasti Beach's trough a professional management operational, it can provide economic benefits for Ungasan Village, one of the point is creating guest satisfaction and re-visit intention continuesly. The goals of these study was (1) Analyze the effect of tourism destination attributes toward guest re-visit intention of tourists on Melasti Beach trough the guest satisfaction as the intervening , (2) to analyze the effect of service quality toward re-visit intention into Melasti Beach trough the guest satisfaction as the intervening (3) to anlyze the effect of guest satisfaction toward revisit intention . The sample of this study was 100 tourists consisting for domestic and foreign tourist. Using incidental sampling method to reach the respondent. Primary data is obtained through questionnaires. The data analysis method used is a quantitative approach and using structural equation models- partial least square or Smartpls version 3.0 and also described by descriptively to conduct the research. The finding of thes study is almost all of the hypothesis is accepted, except hypothesis no. 4 were rejected due to there were no significant relation between service quality toward tourist re-visit intention, and hypothesis no. 6 were there was no significant influence on tourism destination attribute toward tourist intention re-visit intention through tourist satisfaction. The advice of these research generally advice to keep the tourism destination attribute as the determinant factor, in how to effect the revisit intention by the guest in the near future. Abstract

This article analyzes about the participation and communityempowerment in the management of unique and beautiful touristattraction of rice terrace in Ceking Village, Gianyar Regency. It also discuses tourists’ opinion to the tourist attraction of Ceking. The theories used in this research are the theory of participation and community management theory. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and questionnaires. The sampling techniques used were purposive and accidental sampling. Data were analyzed by using descriptive qualitative analysis to give an overview of community empowerment in the management of tourist attraction in the Village of Ceking of Tegallalang, the Gianyar Regency. The finding shows that people around the tourist attraction of Ceking have participated in thedevelopment of the tourist attraction. However, the community empowerment of Ceking tourist attraction has not been performedoptimally yet, because around the tourist attraction, there are twolarge communities, namely the villages of Tegallalang and Kedisan.The Kedisan community, as the owner of the rice terrace, has notbeen optimally empowered and involved in the management anddevelopment. Tourists visiting Ceking considered it an interestingtourist attraction to visit, but expressed that the infrastructureand the tourist facilities on the attraction are very poor and needimprovement.
