Abstract

This study intended to investigate the potential correlation between burnout and job satisfaction of teachers in the elementary schools of Southern Papua, Indonesia. To attain the objective of the study, two survey questionnaires were distributed to 1277 teachers who were conveniently established as samples. Utilizing the SPSS version 21, obtained data were statistically analyzed using the van Pearson’s correlation analysis technique. Result of the Pearson’s correlation statistical analysis showed a significant negative correlation between the teachers’ burnout and their job satisfaction. The outcome of study provides guidance for the government education policymakers in the area of Southern Papua to eliminate teachers’ burnout in order to promote the elementary school teachers’ job satisfaction.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kualitas kepemimpinan otentik, kompetensi guru, dan kompetensi pegawai terhadap kepuasan atas layanan pendidikan. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode penelitian korelasi. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah seluruh stakeholder di MAN yang berada dalam wilayah Se-Karesidenan Semarang dengan sampel sebanyak 1021 responden. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan kuesioner. Uji keabsahan data menggunakan uji validitas dan uji reliabilitas. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis regresi linear berganda. Sebelum data dianalisis dilakukan uji asumsi klasik, yaitu uji multikolinearitas, heterokedastisitas, autokorelasi, dan normalitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh kualitas kepemimpinan otentik, kompetensi guru, kompetensi pegawai secara bersama-sama terhadap kepuasan atas layanan pendidikan di MAN Se-Karesidenan Semarang baik secara parsial maupun simultan.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui beberapa faktor internal yang berpengaruh terhadap literasi digital mahasiswa. Faktor-faktor yang difokuskan dalam penelitian ini adalah rasa ingin tahu dan determinasi diri. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan jumlah responden 656 mahasiswa dari beberapa perguruan tinggi di Indonesia. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket yang disusun ke dalam Google Form dan disesuaikan dengan indikator rasa ingin tahu, determinasi diri dan literasi digital. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji statistik regeresi linier ganda dengan terlebih dahulu dilakukan uji asumsi klasik sebagai prasyarat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rasa ingin tahu dan determinasi diri berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap literasi digital. Besar kontribusi yang dihasilkan yaitu 37,7% dan model persamaan regresi yaitu Y = 0,551X1 + 0,297X2+ 55,268, di mana Y adalah literasi digital, X1 adalah rasa ingin tahu dan X2 adalah determinasi diri. Secara parsial baik rasa ingin tahu maupun determinasi diri juga berpengaruh signifikan terhadap literasi digital. Rasa ingin tahu memberikan kontribusi sebesar 35,1% sedangkan determinasi diri memberikan kontribusi 33,9%. Penelitian selanjutnya dapat dilakukan untuk melihat pengaruh lain baik internal maupun eksternal terhadap literasi digital.

Abstract

Funding for education in schools often becomes a problem in the world of education. Because of the rapid development of the times, educational needs continue to increase, especially in efforts to improve the quality of education in schools. The purpose of this study is to describe how to manage the extraction of sources of education costs through the role of religious leaders. The method used is a literature review (literature review), namely by reviewing journals or news articles related to research. The analysis model is done by reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions/verifying data. The results show that the management concept of exploring sources of educational costs through the role of religious leaders, which focuses on the community charity movement program, has several stages, namely: 1) Planning, starting from coordination meetings, job desc distribution, compiling work programs, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation; 2) Organizing, the division of tasks includes media managers, financial managers, public relations (PR), as well as field coordinators; 3) Implementation, namely building relationships with religious leaders,  religious leaders preach to places of worship or in community activities such as house celebrations, thanksgiving, and others, media managers remind once a month to give alms, financial managers record income money and carry out financial accountability; 4) Supervision, which is carried out directly by the school principal or a person assigned by the school principal; 5) Evaluation, which is carried out directly or indirectly.

Abstract

Technological development is constant and rapid. These changes involve not only communication, the economy, or the health field but also education. To overcome these issues, school leaders are required to equip themselves with the knowledge of the digital field. Therefore, this study explores the challenges or issues that school leaders face. In order to achieve the goals of this study, the data were collected by applying a qualitative method using a case study approach through semi-structured interviews. Two school leaders participated in the interview session.  Thematic analysis was used to sort out the data in order to determine the themes. This study found that the issues in school leaders’ digital leadership are lack of knowledge, inability to use data for school planning, lack of computers and devices for teaching and learning activities, and lack of engagement. The implication of this study is to make education stakeholders, such as school leaders, aware of the importance of digital leadership in school.

Abstract

Entering the 21st century, the leadership role of teachers is in the spotlight in primary to secondary education. Similarly, the leadership of school counselors began to be voiced. Changes in the orientation of guidance and counseling resulted in a shift in the role of the school counselor as one of the implementers in guidance and counseling management. School counselors exercise a leadership role in developing and organizing guidance and counseling programs. This study aims to describe and how the leadership of school counselors theoretically and empirically. The analysis method uses a literature review with four stages: identification, screening, suitability, and inclusion. The primary data sources are obtained from academic reference books and previous research on teacher leadership, guidance and counseling over the past five years that have been published in reputable journals in the Scopus database. The results showed that school counselor leadership in the last five years carried several themes, such as testing the effectiveness of leadership training interventions, the relationship of leadership with personality attributes, the design of leadership training frameworks, the relationship of counseling leadership with professional counselor identity, and school counselor leadership in the context of ethnicity. The results of this study are expected to provide a broader picture of future research opportunities on the topic of school counselor leadership.

Abstract

Engaging leadership is the result of attribution theory. According to this theory, followers attribute noble or exceptional leadership qualities to their leaders when they witness them engaging in engaging leadership behaviors. This study utilized a qualitative methodology with a detailed qualitative research design. Subjects were identified using strategic methods. Information collection methods involving observation, interview, and written notes. Milles and Huberman's dynamic paradigm for data analysis consisting of data compression, data display, and findings. Triangulation of data sources and methods was used to verify reliability. The following conclusions can be made based on the research findings: Kiai's method in leading better teaching at Mamba'ul Ulum 1. Kiai Pondok Pesantren Dukuh Mincek practices a democratic form of leadership in which he delegates authority to administrators and ustaz in carrying out activities and through general supervision, as well as regularly conducting musyawarah with alumni and his brothers on matters relating to school development. 2. Efforts made by Kiai to improve Education Standards at Pondok Pesantren Mamba'ul Ulum include: recitation of the yellow book, reading maulid diba', khitobah alfiah ibnu malik, business and familiarizing tahajut rituals.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of school-based management in the Christian Religion High School (CRHS) Kupang. The method used in this research is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The subjects in this study amounted to 3 (three) people consisting of the principal, vice principal and school committee. Data collection techniques used are interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique used is Analysis Interactive which is divided into four parts, namely data collection, data condensation, data presentation and conclusion. The results of the study show that the implementation of school-based management at CRHS Kupang has been carried out in almost all areas of school-based management which are the indicators in this study. CRHS Kupang has carried out school program planning, implemented the learning process, conducted curriculum management, managed personnel, managed facilities, implemented financial management, implemented student services, built good relations with the community, and carried out a good evaluation of school programs. CRHS Kupang still needs to pay attention to managing the school climate.

Abstract

This study aims to comprehensively review the historical development and current status of research in the field of school improvement using a bibliometric analysis approach. Recognizing the vital role of schools in society and the necessity for their constant evolution, it is essential to understand the breadth and depth of scholarly efforts in school improvement. Using the Scopus index, 596 English language journal articles on school improvement published between 1916 and 2023 were identified and analyzed. Utilizing the VOSviewer software, the bibliometric analysis was conducted in two stages: descriptive statistics to understand the trend of document volumes and co-authorship countries, and a multidimensional scaling technique to visualize co-authorship, co-occurrence, and citation networks. The data revealed a consistent rise in publication volume over the years, with a peak in 2020. Despite contributions from 45 countries, the United States and the United Kingdom were the most prolific. However, author collaboration was found to be minimal, suggesting potential for broader partnerships. The study also identified key research themes such as leadership, distributed leadership, and accountability through keyword co-occurrence analysis. The most frequently cited literature emphasized the role of collaboration, instructional program coherence, and school culture in school improvement. The findings underscore the necessity for increased global collaboration, exploration of emerging themes, and enhanced geographical representation in future research to further enrich the knowledge base in this vital educational field.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menentukan pengaruh dari spiritualitas di tempat kerja, komitmen afektif dan kepuasan kerja terhadap perilaku kewargaan organisasi. Jumlah koresponden yang mengambil bagian dalam penelitian adalah sebanyak 204 orang. Data dikumpulkan dan dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis deskriptif, perhitungan rasio analisis jalur dan analisis lain dengan menggunakan program SmartPLS. Hasil dari penelitian memperlihatkan (1) kepuasan kerja berpengaruh positif terhadap  perilaku kewargaan organisasi , (2) komitmen afektif tidak mempunyai pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap  perilaku kewargaan organisasi, (3)  spiritualitas di tempat kerja berpengaruh positif terhadap kepuasan kerja, (4)  spiritualitas di tempat kerja berpengaruh positif terhadap komitmen afektif, (5)  spiritualitas di tempat kerja berpengaruh positif terhadap  perilaku kewargaan organisasi, (6)  spiritualitas di tempat kerja tidak mempunyai pengaruh signifikan  perilaku kewargaan organisasi dengan komitmen afektif sebagai variabel mediasi, (7)  spiritualitas di tempat kerja berpengaruh positif terhadap  perilaku kewargaan organisasi dengan kepuasan kerja sebagai variabel mediasi.
