Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the seminar on the introduction of artificial intelligence (AI) and the Variety of Research Tools in writing scientific papers in the Library of Ambarrukmo Tourism College (STIPRAM) Yogyakarta, and the role of seminars on students’ information literacy skills. Descriptive and qualitative research methods were used. Data were obtained through interviews, documentation, and observations. The researchers choose a descriptive qualitative method because of its ability to integrate all data produced descriptively through written expressions, sourced from interviewees, and considered reliable. The results showed that the seminar on the introduction of artificial intelligence (AI) and various research tools in writing scientific papers was well received by students. The material is provided in the form of an explanation of the concept of information literacy, the introduction of artificial intelligence (AI), various research tools in writing scientific papers, the practice and utilization of artificial intelligence (AI) and various research tools in writing scientific papers. This training has the effect of improving the literacy skills of scientific writing. Thus, it can be concluded that the information literacy skills of students, who were originally still limited, are now improving with this seminar. These abilities include identifying information needs, accessing and evaluating information, and utilizing the information wisely and effectively.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui bagaimana seminar pengenalan Artificial Intelligence (AI) dan Ragam Research Tools dalam penulisan karya ilmiah di Perpustakaan Sekolah Tinggi Pariwisata Ambarukmo (STIPRAM) Yogyakarta, dan peran seminar terhadap ketrampilan literasi informasi penulisan karya ilmiah mahasiswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan deskriptif kualitatif. Pada penelitian ini, data di peroleh melalui wawancara, dokumentasi dan observasi. Peneliti memilih metode deskriptif kualitatif karena dalam mengintegrasikan seluruh data yang dihasilkan secara deskriptif melalui ungkapan tertulis, bersumber dari narasumber yang diwawancarai serta dianggap dapat dipercaya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa seminar pengenalan Artificial Intelligence (AI) dan ragam research tools dalam penulisan karya ilmiah yang dilaksanakan dapat diterima baik oleh mahasiswa. Materi yang diberikan berupa penjelasan konsep literasi informasi, pengenalan Artificial Intelligence (AI) dan Ragam Research Tools dalam penulisan karya ilmiah dan praktik serta pemanfaatan Artificial Intelligence (AI) dan Ragam Research Tools dalam penulisan karya ilmiah. Pelatihan ini berpengaruh dalam meningkatkan keterampilan literasi penulisan karya ilmiah. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa keterampilan literasi informasi mahasiswa yang semula masih terbatas, kini semakin meningkat dengan adanya seminar ini. keterampilan tersebut meliputi cara mengidentifikasi kebutuhan informasi, mengakses informasi, mengevaluasi informasi, dan memanfaatkan informasi secara bijak serta efektif.

Abstract

This study discusses the comparative effectiveness of the Yogyakarta city library drive-thru service and the Kuala Lumpur city library during the Covid-19 pandemic.  This study aims to find out and describe the effectiveness of the use of drive-thru services in Yogyakarta city libraries and Kuala Lumpur libraries during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research involved field research using descriptions for quantitative research with a special focus on the research concerned.  To collect information, researchers used observation questionnaires, interviews, and documentation.  The sample size for this study was 65,628, and 133 respondents were randomly selected from the group using the Slovin survey.  Data analysis uses the grand mean and mean formula.  The results of data collection in the field can be seen that 4 indicators namely service, borrowing, returning, as well as indicators of user perceptions of librarians obtain a total value of 81.53%.  So it can be concluded that the results of the overall calculation of respondents' answers, namely the effectiveness of drive-thru services in libraries at the Yogyakarta City Library and Kuala Lumpur Library during the Covid-19 pandemic were classified as very good.

Abstract

The present paper aims at exploring the complex processes of emergence of Kurdish literary culture with an emphasis on the history of Kurdish written poetry and the cultural context that has contributed to its development. Such works as the poems of Baba Tahir provide the primary basis for the research that alters the understanding of plagiarism and authenticity of Kurdish literature. By dint of close reading of key texts and historical periods, the research thus highlights the importance of critical appreciation in assessing literature. It reflects on the timeless enigmatic nature of Kurdish literature that further stresses the importance of the comprehension of its roots and values. This study offers a clearer understanding of the complexity of the Multiple Layers of Ambiguity in the context of Kurdish poetry and serves as a reminder of the significance of further historical and comparative analysis of Kurdish and other related poetic traditions. The study also underlines the need for cooperation between scholars working in academia in order to find a solution to the problem and to capture the essence of the Kurdish literature origins.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Artikel ini membahas asal-usul dan evolusi kompleks warisan sastra Kurdi, khususnya berfokus pada kemunculan puisi tertulis Kurdi dan konteks budaya yang memengaruhi perkembangannya. Penelitian ini berhipotesis bahwa memahami akar sastra Kurdi memerlukan pemeriksaan kritis terhadap teks-teks utama, khususnya karya Baba Tahir, sekaligus membahas masalah plagiarisme dan keaslian. Dengan menggunakan analisis historis dan komparatif, penelitian ini meneliti berbagai teks puisi dan pengarangnya, di samping norma linguistik dan tematik dari masing-masing era. Temuan utama mengungkapkan bahwa meskipun puisi Baba Tahir menandai titik penting dalam sejarah sastra Kurdi, banyak klaim mengenai puisi Kurdi sebelumnya tidak memiliki bukti substansial, yang menyoroti perlunya penyelidikan ilmiah yang ketat. Sebagai kesimpulan, pembahasan ini menggarisbawahi pentingnya memahami kontribusi sastra yang signifikan dan menyerukan upaya kolaboratif di dunia akademis untuk lebih jauh mengeksplorasi seluk-beluk tradisi sastra Kurdi.

Abstract

This study aims to find a semiotic description of love contained in Nizar Qabbani's poem entitled "Hub Bila Hudud". In discussing these issues, this article uses Ferdinand De Sausure's semiotic theory on the concepts of signifier and signified. Signifier is a form of sound image that has meaning. Meanwhile, the signified is a form of thought/idea that explains the understanding of the signifier. This research is a library research where researchers analyze reading sources using certain theories. The results found from this study are that Nizar's poem entitled "Hub Bila Hudud" contains many words of love that refer to semiotic meanings. These results are known through Ferdinand De Sausure's semiotic theory, namely signifier (Dal) and signified (Madlul) which are used to dissect the poem "Hub Bila Hudud" by Nizar Qabbani.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------يهدف هذا البحث إلى إيجاد التصوير السيميائي للحب الوارد في قصيدة نزار قباني بعنوان "حب بلا حدود". في مناقشة هذه المشكلة، يستخدم الباحث النظرية السيميائية عند فرديناند دي سوسور حول مفهومي الدال والمدلول. الدال هو شكل من أشكال الصورة الصوتية التي لها معنى. والمدلول هو شكل من أشكال الفكر/الفكرة التي تشرح فهم الدال. هذا البحث هو بحث مكتبي حيث يقوم الباحث بتحليل مصادر القراءة باستخدام نظريات معينة. ومن النتائج التي يصل إليها هذا البحث أن قصيدة نزار بعنوان "حب بلا حدود" تحتوي على العديد من كلمات الحب التي تشير إلى معاني سيميائية. وتعرف هذه النتيجة من خلال النظرية السيميائية لفرديناند دي سوسير وهي الدال والمدلول.

Abstract

Pergeseran budaya yang terjadi ditengah masyarakat Banda Aceh yang dulunya disebut sebagai warung kopi (keude kuphi) dimana mayoritas didalamnya adalah laki-laki, dimana sekarang sudah berubah menjadi coffee shop yang pengunjungnya didominasi oleh perempuan yang menghabiskan waktu dengan berkumpul di coffee shop. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji bagaimana akses perempuan terhadap coffee shop di Banda Aceh, konsep coffee shop yang ramah terhadap perempuan, dan persepsi masyarakat terhadap keberadaan perempuan di coffee shop. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif, pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Dari hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa akses perempuan terhadap coffee shop di Banda Aceh telah diterima, akan tetapi kehadiran mereka masih disertai dengan kondisi-kondisi terkait soal waktu kunjungan tidak sampai larut malam kecuali mereka berhadir bersama suami atau keluarga dan pakaian yang di gunakan harus sesuai dengan Syariat Islam tidak menampakkan aurat. Konsep coffee shop ramah terhadap perempuan yang dapat dimanfaatkan untuk bekerja, membaca, dan produktivitas seperti tempat yang memiliki desain modern. Coffee shop menjadi tempat favorit bagi perempuan di kota-kota besar. Persepsi masyarakat di Banda Aceh terhadap keberadaan perempuan di warung kopi maupun di Coffee shop memiliki 2 pandangan yang berbeda, sebagian mengatakan baik dan sebagaian lagi mengatakan tidak baik.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------The cultural shift that occurred among the people of Banda Aceh which used to be called a coffee shop (keude kuphi) where the majority of people inside were men, has now changed to a coffee shop where more female visitors spend their time gathering in the coffee shop. This research examines women's access to coffee shops in Banda Aceh, the concept of women-friendly coffee shops, and the public's perception of the presence of women in coffee shops. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with the types of instruments used are observation, interviews and documentation. The results of the research state that women's access to coffee shops in Banda Aceh has been accepted, however their presence is still accompanied by conditions related to visiting times not until late at night unless they are present with their husband or family and the clothes they wear must comply with Sharia. Islam does not reveal the nakedness. The coffee shop concept is friendly to women which can be used for work, reading and productivity like a place that has a modern design. Coffee shops are a favorite place for women in big cities. The perception of the people in Banda Aceh regarding the presence of women in coffee shops and coffee shops has 2 different views, some say it is good and some say it is not good.

Abstract

This research discusses the phenomenon of the development of Korean culture among students in the city of Banda Aceh, and how students respond and view the phenomenon of Korean Wafe. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. The data collection method is through observation, interview, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that Korean Wave spreads through social media which is currently loved by many teenagers, many factors influence the interest in K-Wave such as fashion styles, music colors, beauty products, and others. The various impacts of K-Wave include increasing the enthusiasm for learning foreign languages, working hard, making money by selling merchandise, and others. as for the negative impacts, namely spending money to buy useless items, and excessive halu. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Penelitian ini membahas tentang fenomena perkembangan budaya Korea di kalangan mahasiswa di kota Banda Aceh, dan Bagaimana respon dan pandangan mahasiswa terhadap gejala Korean Wafe ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana mahasiswa bisa menerima, dan terpengaruh dengan budaya Korea. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Adapun metode pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Korean Wave menyebar melalui sosial media yang saat ini banyak digandrungi oleh remaja, banyaknya faktor yang mempengaruhi ketertarikan terhadap K-Wave seperti fashion style, warna musik, produk kecantikan, dan lainnya. Dampak dari K-Wave yang beragam diantaranya adalah meningkatkan semangat belajar bahasa asing, kerja keras, menghasilkan uang dengan menjual merchandise, dan lainnya.

Abstract

This study describes the attitude of the struggle of the people of Ash from the historical point of view as well as the form of the contribution of the fighting of Ash to Nusantara and the culture of Ash. This qualitative research data is collected by means of the study of the library by collecting the reading materials that correspond to the discussion. The data is then done reading techniques and recorded from the reading results of the materials related to the struggle of aceh and contribution to nusantara and culture. The results of reading and recording techniques, will answer the form of the problem is how to fight aceh against nusantara, and how the fight of Aceh in culture. Thus it can be concluded that the aceh's historical championship is very great against Nusantara and culture also from the point of view of Islamization in Nusantara. It is based on the territory of the Acheh and the attitude of the acheh monarchy as well as the diplomatic relations carried out by the Aceh kingdoms. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Kajian ini mendeskripsikan tentang sikap perjuangan masyarakat Aceh ditinjau dari sejarah serta bentuk kontribusi perjuangan masyarakat Aceh terhadap Nusantara dan kebudayaan Aceh. Data penelitian kualitatif ini dikumpulkan dengan cara studi kepustakaan dengan mengumpulkan bahan-bahan bacaan yang sesuai dengan pembahasan. Data tersebut kemudian dilakukan teknik membaca dan dicatat dari hasil pembacaan materi-materi yang berkaitan dengan perjuangan aceh dan kontribusinya terhadap nusantara dan kebudayaan. Hasil dari teknik baca dan rekam, akan menjawab berupa permasalahan bagaimana perjuangan aceh melawan nusantara, dan bagaimana perjuangan aceh secara budaya. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa keutamaan sejarah aceh sangat besar terhadap nusantara dan budaya juga dari sudut pandang islamisasi di nusantara. Hal ini didasarkan pada wilayah Aceh dan sikap monarki Aceh serta hubungan diplomasi yang dilakukan kerajaan-kerajaan Aceh.

Abstract

The twenty first century have seen a lot of innovation and advancement in technology. Old ways of doing things especially in academic libraries have been modified and transformed with technologies that make work faster and easier and makes service delivery more effective. These technologies and the way they work have been termed digital transformation. However, whatever digital transformation direction a library takes is a function of the leadership. With the above in mind, this paper investigated leadership style as a predictor of digital transformation in private university libraries in western Nigeria. The survey research of the correlational type was used. The population of the study are librarians from six private universities in South west Nigeria. The questionnaire was the instrument for data collection. Findings revealed that transformational leadership was the predominant style of leadership in private university libraries with mean of 24.12; KOHA was the most recent platform for DT in the libraries studied; level of digital transformation was revealed to be high. The hypothesis tested was rejected as leadership style was revealed to be significantly correlated with digital transformation in libraries.  It is recommended that management of libraries should foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation. Building on the predominant transformational leadership style identified, private university libraries should continue to encourage a culture of continuous learning and innovation among library staff.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Abad ke-21 telah menyaksikan banyak inovasi dan kemajuan dalam teknologi. Cara-cara lama dalam melakukan sesuatu, terutama di perpustakaan akademik, telah dimodifikasi dan diubah dengan teknologi yang membuat pekerjaan lebih cepat dan lebih mudah serta meningkatkan efektivitas penyampaian layanan. Teknologi-teknologi ini dan cara kerjanya disebut transformasi digital. Namun, arah transformasi digital yang diambil oleh perpustakaan adalah fungsi dari kepemimpinan. Dengan pemikiran tersebut, makalah ini menyelidiki gaya kepemimpinan sebagai prediktor transformasi digital di perpustakaan universitas swasta di Nigeria bagian barat. Penelitian survei tipe korelasional digunakan. Populasi penelitian adalah pustakawan dari enam universitas swasta di Nigeria bagian barat daya. Kuesioner adalah instrumen untuk pengumpulan data. Temuan mengungkapkan bahwa kepemimpinan transformasional adalah gaya kepemimpinan yang dominan di perpustakaan universitas swasta dengan nilai rata-rata 24,12; KOHA adalah platform terbaru untuk transformasi digital di perpustakaan yang diteliti; tingkat transformasi digital terungkap tinggi. Hipotesis yang diuji ditolak karena gaya kepemimpinan terbukti berkorelasi signifikan dengan transformasi digital di perpustakaan. Disarankan agar manajemen perpustakaan mendorong budaya pembelajaran dan inovasi yang berkelanjutan. Berdasarkan gaya kepemimpinan transformasional yang dominan, perpustakaan universitas swasta harus terus mendorong budaya pembelajaran dan inovasi yang berkelanjutan di kalangan staf perpustakaan.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the competence of librarians towards the accessibility of persons with disabilities in university libraries. This type of research uses the library research method. The data collection method is carried out by studying and exploring relevant sources, such as: 1) collecting sources (books, articles/journals) studied, 2) reading, recording, and processing sources (books, articles/journals) studied. The results showed that the study of librarian competencies on the accessibility of persons with disabilities in higher education libraries is needed in providing and providing library services for people with disabilities, including competencies in the field of library management, competencies in the field of information technology, competencies in the field of communication, personality competencies, and competencies in sciences that support librarianship.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji kompetensi pustakawan terhadap aksesibilitas penyandang disabilitas di perpustakaan perguruan tinggi. Jenis penelitian menggunakan metode studi pustaka (library research). Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara menelaah dan mengeksplorasi sumber yang relevan, seperti: 1) mengumpulkan sumber (buku, artikel/jurnal) yang dikaji, 2) dibaca, dicatat, dan diolah sumber (buku, artikel/jurnal) yang dikaji. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kajian kompetensi pustakawan terhadap aksesibilitas penyandang disabilitas di perpustakaan perguruan tinggi sangat dibutuhkan dalam menyediakan dan memberikan pelayanan perpustakaan untuk pemustaka disabilitas, diantaranya kompetensi di bidang pengelolaan perpustakaan, kompetensi di bidang teknologi informasi, kompetensi di bidang komunikasi, kompetensi kepribadian, dan kompetensi ilmu-ilmu yang mendukung kepustakawanan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengklasifikasikan data berdasarkan fungsi implikatur menurut teori tindak tutur ilokusi yang dikemukakan oleh Searle dan Austin. Dari data yang diperoleh, terdapat total 30 dialog yang mengandung implikatur ilokusi dengan jenis asertif, direktif, ekspresif, komisif dan deklaratif. Setiap jenis implikatur tersebut memiliki fungsi yang beragam, sehingga peneliti menemukan makna yang implisit sesuai dengan konteks percakapan. Hasil penelitian berdasarkan implikatur percakapan dalam film ini berperan sebagai sarana untuk menyampaikan, menanggapi, memerintah maupun menolak dengan cara yang lebih halus dan sopan. Penggunaan implikatur percakapan di kehidupan sehari-hari menunjukkan bahwa implikatur memiliki peran penting dalam komunikasi untuk menyampaikan makna lebih dalam dan kaya yang tidak terucap langsung.  ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------This research classifies the data based on the function of implicature according to the theory of illocutionary speech acts proposed by Searle and Austin. From the data obtained, there are a total of 30 dialogs containing illocutionary implicatures with assertive, directive, expressive, commissive and declarative types. Each type of implicature has various functions, so that researcher find implicit meanings according to the context of the conversation. The result of the research based on conversational implicature in this movie act as a means to convey, respond, command or reject in a more subtle and polite way. The use of conversational implicature in everyday life shows that implicature has an important role in communication to convey deeper and richer meanings that are not spoken directly.
