Abstract

This research aims to determine students' responses to the implementation of ethnopedagogical modules in science-based on local wisdom in thematic learning towards learning independence. The research was conducted at SD Negeri 1 Muara Satu, Lhokseumawe City. Field problems found that during the learning process in both elementary schools, thematic learning had not been linked with ethnopedagogy based on local wisdom. Consequently, students lacked learning independence at school. The research type used was a pre-experimental design, labeled as such because it was not a full-fledged experimental study. The research design used was the One-Group Posttest Design, an experiment conducted with only one group without a comparison group. The sample in this study was a fifth-grade class with 114 students, selected using purposive sampling technique. This instrument aimed to assess students' learning independence after using the teaching module. The research results indicate that the implementation of the Ethnopedagogical Module, which smoothly integrates local wisdom and cultural contexts into science education, results in enthusiastic student engagement and contextualized learning experiences. This is evidenced by the results of the student learning independence test indicators, with the highest scores found in the research results for the learning independence variable in the indicator of having a competitive drive to advance. The overall sample obtained an average score of 83.2 in the category of excellent.

Abstract

Berdasarkan hasil observasi di SMP Negeri 8 Kota Banda Aceh, diperoleh data bahwa peserta didik mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami materi kemagnetan dikarenakan proses pembelajarannya masih menggunakan buku paket. Penyampaian pembelajarannya juga masih bersifat monoton dan kurang bervariasi dalam proses pembelajaran, sehingga diperlukan media pembelajaran yang baru yang dapat meningkatkan kualitas belajar mengajar seperti modul interaktif dengan model TGT untuk pembelajaran IPA materi kemagnetan di SMP/MTs. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bentuk dan kelayakan modul interaktif dengan model TGT untuk pembelajaran IPA materi kemagnetan di SMP/MTs. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Research and Development yang menggunakan model pengembangan Alessi & Trollip yang memiliki tiga tahapan: (1) perencanaan (planning), (2) perancangan (desain), dan (3) pengembangan (development). Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar validasi produk dan angket respon peserta didik. Uji coba terbatas melibatkan 5 peserta didik kelas IX-4. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kelayakan modul interaktif dengan model TGT untuk pembelajaran IPA materi kemagnetan dari hasil uji kelayakan diperoleh rata-rata persentase keseluruhan sebesar 90,7% dengan kriteria sangat layak, dengan hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa modul interaktif dengan model TGT untuk pembelajaran IPA materi kemagnetan sangat layak digunakan sebagai media pemebelajaran fisika di SMP/MTs.

Abstract

Thinking is a process in which a person recalls existing knowledge from their memory and uses it to receive, process, and conclude information. Intuitive thinking is part of the logical aspect that develops a person's ability to analyze problems spontaneously, quickly, and accurately. Analytical thinking is a systematic or structured thinking activity that can effectively identify problems to be faced. The researcher used a qualitative method with a descriptive type. In this research stage, the researcher used test instruments in the form of essay test questions. The subjects targeted in this study were 6 students. The results of the study showed a comparison of the students' thinking skills: out of 6 students, 4 had intuitive thinking skills amounting to 67%, and 2 had analytical thinking skills amounting to 33%. The conclusion of this study is that students are more dominated by intuitive thinking skills than analytical thinking skills.

Abstract

Noise recorded during measurements can diminish the quality of AMT data. This can lead to decreased penetration depth and unreliable 1D inversion models. This study aimed to reduce noise and improve data quality by analyzing coherence, curve trend, and skewness. Coherence analysis was performed using robust processing and XPR editing, yielding an average coherence value of 77.5%, an improvement of 10.8% from the raw data. Noise can also alter data dimensionality; hence, skewness analysis was used to determine the effect of distortion on the impedance tensor. Results showed that the 3D dimensionality effect at 6 stations was significantly reduced following coherence and curve trend analyses.

Abstract

Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah Bagaimanakah Deskripsi Kemampuan Critical Thingking Siswa Kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Beduai Pada Model Pembelajaran Daring Materi Fluida Dinamis. Adapun tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh data lengkap mengenai “Deskripsi Kemampuan Critical Thingking Siswa Kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Beduai pada Model Pembelajaran Daring Materi Fluida Dinamis”. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan desain: pengumpulan data, pengolahan data, dan analisis data. Subjek dalam penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Beduai yang berjumlah 33 orang terdiri dari 22 siswi perempuan dan 11 siswa laki-laki. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pengolahan data diperoleh deskripsi kemampuan critical thingking siswa dengan rata-rata keseluruhan yaitu 79% siswa berada di kategori rendah, 6% siswa berada di kategori sedang dan 15% siswa berada di kategori tinggi. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan kemampuan critical thingking siswa pada pembelajaran daring materi fluida dinamis rata-rata keseluruhan berada pada kategori rendah yaitu 79%

Abstract

Critical Thinking Skills (CTS) are one of the most significant skills in the 21st century. Students as potential superior human resources must have high CTS, because those who have high CTS can effectively solve problems. This study defines the mastery of Junior High School students’ CTS throughout the city of Surabaya. The form of this study was quantitative descriptive. The subjects in this study were 74 students from 3 State Junior High Schools with high, medium, and low levels in Surabaya. Students' CTS was measured using a Critical Thinking Skills Test that has been developed previously thus its validity is guaranteed and it is suitable to be used in measuring Junior High School students' mastery of CTS. The results of the study showed that the critical thinking skills of high-level Junior High School students were in the high CTS category with an n-gain score of 0,73, the medium-level State Junior High School students were in the high CTS category with an n-gain score of 0,71, and the low-level State Junior High School students were in the medium CTS category with an n-gain score of 0.70. The average increase in the CTS of Junior High School students in Surabaya was in the high CTS category with an average n-gain score of 0,71. This research is expected to be a recommendation for education policy-makers in Surabaya regarding the learning design used, thus the CTS of Junior High School students in Surabaya can increase at all levels.

Abstract

Research focused on the identification of soil resistivity distribution at the Ekoriparian Leuwi Padjadjaran area, University of Padjadjaran, Jatinangor, has been conducted using geoelectric resistivity method 2D with dipole - dipole configuration. Three survey lines were measured with the first and second lines being 2 meters long and the third line measuring 6 meters. Electrode spacing was set at 0.2 meters, with 10 electrodes on the first and second lines, and 30 electrodes on the third line. Data processing is done using the Res2Dinv software. The research results indicated that resistivity values in the range of 4.00 Ωm to 20.0 Ωm were interpreted as clay rocks, values from 20 Ωm to 200 Ωm were interpreted as silt rocks, and resistivity values in the range of 256 Ωm to 1024 Ωm were interpreted as sandy clay rocks. Based on the geology of the study area, the soil is a fine-grained soil, namely silt and sandy loam.

Abstract

Percobaan gerak jatuh bebas telah dilakukan di berbagai kota di pulau sulawesi dan satu kota di turki dengan tujuan untuk menentukan percepatan gravitasi. Percepatan gravitasi ditentukan dengan mengimplementasikan Video-based laboratory. Data yang diperoleh berupa data video gerak jatuh bebas yang dianalisis dengan menggunakan software tracker. Dari analisis yang dilakukan , didapatkan harga percepatan gravitasi bumi berturut-turut di Kota Jeneponto, Makassar, Minahasa, dan Istanbul sebesar: : 9,793 , 9,778  9,72 , dan 9,76 . Dengan Root Mean Square Deviation (RMSD) berdasarkan aplikasi berturut-turut diperoleh sebesar:  (Jeneponto), (Makassar), (Minahasa) dan  (Istanbul). Eror hasil pengukuran berada pada orde  sehingga dapat diterima keabsahannya.  Percepatan gravitasi yang diperoleh mendekati nilai literatur yaitu, . Oleh karena itu, implementasi metode analisis Video-based Laboratory (VBL) menggunakan software tracker dalam menentukan percepatan gravitasi di berbagai belahan bumi, efisien dan efektif dilakukan.

Abstract

Multi Soil Layering (MSL) is a procedure for treating liquid waste that employs soil as its primary medium. In addition to soil as the primary medium, it can also use sedimentation waste (PDAM) as an alternative. This study included two variations: HLR value variations and HRT value variations. The results indicated that the HLR values were 11.48 L/m2/hour, 4.76 L/m2/hour, and 2.48 L/m2/hour, with 2.48 L/m2/hour exhibiting the highest level of effectiveness. The pH and DO values changed to 7.4 and 19.5 mg/L, respectively, and the TSS value effectiveness reached 76.32%, the TDS value degradation reached 75.21%, the turbidity degradation reached 99.69%, and the COD degradation reached 99.66. At the HRT values of 4 hours, 6 hours, 8 hours, 10 hours, and 12 hours, the effectiveness level of the greatest HRT variation occurred at 12 hours, where the value of changes in pH and DO became 19.5 mg/L and became 7.5, and the effectiveness COD value degradation reached 98.95%, BOD value degradation reached 51.11%, and TSS degradation reached 73.5%. The obtained results indicate that the MSL method with PDAM sedimentation waste material is capable of reducing pollutant levels in the tofu manufacturing industry.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the use of learning methods that are still monotonous and uninteresting, the discussion of one of the physics materials that is difficult for students to understand, namely static fluid materials. This results in students having difficulty understanding the concepts and equations contained in static fluid materials. To overcome this problem, an interactive physics learning video based on the Science Environment Technology Society (SETS) was developed in order to provide students with an understanding of static fluid materials and become a digital media that can be used in the long term because it is flexible so that it can be used anywhere to repeat static fluid materials. The objectives of this research are: (1) To design interactive physics learning videos based on SETS at the high school/MA level; (2) To find out the feasibility of interactive physics learning videos based on SETS at the high school/MA level and (3) To find out the practicality of interactive physics learning videos based on SETS at the high school/MA level. This study uses the Research and Development (R&D) method based on the Alessi and Trollip development model. In this study, a product was produced in the form of interactive physics learning videos based on SETS. The results of the study show that SETS-based interactive physics learning videos have met the category of very feasible. This is determined based on the results of validation from media experts with a percentage of 90.4% included in the "very feasible" criteria and the validation results from material experts obtained a percentage of 91.2% with the "very feasible" criteria and user validation results with a percentage of 93.2% with the "very feasible" criteria. The results of the practicality assessment by students received a percentage of 95% with the category "very practical" used in the learning process. Thus, it can be concluded that SETS-based learning videos can be used in the learning process.
