Abstract

Sistem pembelajaran mengalami perubahan selama masa pandemi Covid-19. Pemerintah terpaksa merubah sistem pembelajaran tatap muka (Offline) menjadi sistem pembelajaran dalam jaringan (Online). Kebijakan ini dilakukan untuk mengurangi  penyebaran  Covid-19.  Sistem pembelajaran online,  mengharuskan orang tua untuk menggantikan peran guru dalam mengajarkan anaknya di rumah. Orang  tua  merasa  sistem  pembelajaran  online  merupakan  hal  yang  baru  dan belum pernah dilakukan sebelumnya. Sehingga, hal ini membuat orang tua merasa kesulitan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan (1) persepsi orang tua terhadap sistem pembelajaran berbasis online di rumah pada masa pandemi covid-19, (2) apa saja kendala yang dihadapi orang tua selama proses pembelajaran online di rumah, (3) serta upaya apa yang dilakukan orang tua dalam mengatasi kendala   tersebut.   Penelitian   ini   menggunakan   metode   deskriptif   dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah orang tua dari siswa SD dan  MIN  yang  tinggal  di  Kecamatan  Meuraxa  Kota  Banda  Aceh.  Penarikan sampel  menggunakan  teknik  purposive sampling  dengan  jumlah  sampel  yang digunakan  sebanyak  20  orang tua.  Instrumen  penelitian  yang digunakan  pada penelitian  ini  adalah  lembar  angket  dan transkip  wawancara.  Hasil  penelitian menunjuk; (1) persepsi orang tua terhadap pembelajaran berbasis online  pada masa pandemi Covid-19 tidak dapat diterapkan secara efektif karena adanya kendala  yang dihadapi  oleh  orang tua, (2)  kendala  yang dihadapai  orang tua selama proses pembelajaran online di rumah pada saat pandemi Covid-19 adalah waktu luang yang minim, fasilitas yang tidak memadai (kuota internet, laptop, dan smartphone) dan juga kurangnya pemahaman materi yang diberikan, sedangkan (3) upaya dalam mengatasi kendala tersebut yaitu menyediakan waktu khusus, menyediakan fasilitas dan menghubungi guru untuk meminta penjelasan materi dan jadwal konsultasi.

Abstract

The aims of this study to determine the improvement of students' critical thinking skills through the application of learning model the Problem Based Learning in Biology subjects in class X SMA Negeri 1 Kluet Tengah. The subjects in this study were students of class X SMA Negeri 1 Kluet Tengah, with total of 31 students, with focus of this research critical thinking skills ability in Biology subjects. The research design used was classroom action research, which was conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consists of four stages, namely: planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. In the pre-cycle, the students 'critical thinking ability was 37.81% in the less critical category, since implementation of the first cycle the students' critical thinking ability became 51.80% with the fairly critical category. In cycle II, the average achievement of students' critical thinking skills has increased to 76.90% in the critical category. Thus the results of this study indicate that the application of learning model the Problem Based Learning can improve students' critical thinking skills in Biology subjects in Class X SMA Negeri 1 Kluet Tengah.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out the differences in spatial intelligence and microscopic representation of prospective biology teachers in 3D software lectures on plant anatomy using Blender and 3DS Max applications. The research method used was quasi-experimental using the research design of The Matching Only Pretest-Posttest group design group. The population in this study is a prospective biology teacher in the department of biology education faculty of teaching and educational sciences in the academic year 2017/2018 at Siliwangi University who contracted the course of plant anatomy. Sampling is done by purposive sampling techniques as many as 2 classes by looking at the level of activeness in the same learning process. The results showed both classes showed a low spatial intelligence N-Gain category, as well as getting an average value of microscopic representation with a score of 3.7 for the use of 3Ds Max and 3.82 for Blender. The conclusion of this study is that there is no difference in spatial intelligence and microscopic representation of students, in addition students are still having difficulty for those who use max 3Ds software, because it requires a high enough computer specification, so the use of 3-dimensional blender application is more recommended used for aspiring biology teachers who want to make 3D forms of biological objects especially plant anatomy.

Abstract

The aims of this study were to find out: (1) the effects of visual mapping on students’ critical thinking skills, (2) the effects of science-related attitudes on students’ critical thinking skills, (3) the interactions between visual mapping and science-related attitudes on students’ critical thinking skills, (4) the effects of visual mapping on students’ problem solving skills, (5) the effects of science-related attitudes on students’ problem solving skills, and (6) the interactions between visual mapping and science-related attitudes on students’ problem solving skills. This study was conducted at MAN 1 Tanjung Pura, totally 141 students. It was a quasi-experimental technique by using a pretest-posttest experimental group with 4x2 factorial design. The technique of data analysis was processed by the Two-Way ANOVA and followed by Duncan’s Multiple Range Test. The results showed that: (1) there were the significant effects of visual mapping on students’ critical thinking skills (F=87.082; P=0.000), (2) there were the significant effects of science-related attitudes on students’ critical thinking skills (F=2.493; P=0.040), (3) there were the interactions between visual mapping and science-related attitudes on students’ critical thinking skills (F=2.037; P=0.000), (4) there were the significant effects of visual mapping on students’ problem solving skills (F=94.214; P=0.000), (5) there were the significant effects of science-related attitudes on students’ problem  solving skills (F=3.397; P=0.031), and (6) there were the interactions between visual mapping and science-related attitudes on students’ problem solving skills (F=2.195; P=0.000).

Abstract

Wilayah pesisir Kota Langsa dihuni oleh tumbuhan mangrove yang merupakan karakteristik wilayah pesisir. Ekosistm mangrove Kota Langsa memiliki kekayaan flora dan fauna yang beranekaragam. Ekosistem mangrove ini terdapat berbagai potensi sumberdaya alam, di antaranya kerang, kepah, dan berbagai macam biota perairan. Penelitian ini dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik habitat Anadara granosa  yang sesuai di ekosistem mangrove Kota Langsa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode  survey. Pengambilan sampel dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa lokasi kuala langsa memiliki karakteristik habitat yang bagus bagi kelangsungan hidup kerang darah (Anadara granosa) dibandingkan dengan lokasi alur dua. Hasil uji Anova Menunjukkan bahwa lokasi penelitian berpengaruh nyata terhadap Jumlah spesies dan salinitas air, namun tidak berbeda nyata terhadap pH Air. Jika dilihat dari kandungan HCL dan Amonium pada kedua lokasi pengambilan sampel dapat kita lihat bahwa kedua lokasi tidak memiliki perbedaan yang signifikan, namun terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan terhadap jumlah spesies kerang darah. Rendahnya jumlah spesies kerang darah yang terdapat dilokasi alur dua dikarnakan habitatnya sudah tercemar oleh kegiatan pembangunan jalan dan bangunan lainnya.

Abstract

Cendawan endofit telah diketahui menghasilkan banyak senyawa bioaktif salah satunya senyawa antioksidan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kandungan fitokimia dan  aktivitas antioksidan cendawan endofit Aspergillus sp. secara in vitro dan in vivo. Penentuan aktivitas antioksidan secara in vitro dilakukan dengan metode DPPH. Aktivitas antioksidan secara in vivo dilakukan dengan melihat kemampuannya menurunkan kadar MDA serum darah mencit yang diberi stress oksidatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan aktivitas antioksidan Ekstrak etil asetat Aspergillus sp. tergolong sangat kuat dengan IC50 sebesar 38,64, dan mampu menurunkan kadar MDA mencit pada konsentrasi 45 ppm/kgBB. Hasil uji fitokima menunjukkan terdapat kelompok senyawa Flavonoid, Alkaloid, Terpenoid dan Tanin yang dihasilkan dari ekstrak etil asetat cendawan endofit Aspergillus sp.

Abstract

Ascolichen is group of lichen composed by ascomycetes (the mycobiont) and algae (the photobiont) species which play ecological and industrial roles. The campus area of Syiah Kuala University Gayo Lues is a part of the Gayo Highland which has specific environmental characteristics. The research aim was to determine the ascolichen species, the type of talus and the substrate characteristics. This study used a qualitative approach with research type was an exploratory survey. Data collection was carried out at 2 stations, namely Station I (campus area) and Station 2 (outside campus area). Data was analyzed descriptively. The results showed that there were 28 species of ascolichen found in the location which belong 3 classis, 6 orders, 15 families, and 25 genera. Moreover, the thallus types of lichen species were crustose (16 species), foliose (8 species), and fruticose (4 species). The types of lichen substrate were tree trunks (22 species), dead woods (9 species) and rocks (4 species). The acidity of the substrates ranges 4-6 (acidic).

Abstract

Capture fisheries is a source of livelihood for fishermen. Fishers in Arongan Lambalek are still classified as traditional fishermen and still use simple fishing gear in their operations. One of the fishing gear used is Lift Nets (Ali) fishing gear to catch shrimp. This study aims to determine the income of traditional fishermen using Lift Nets (Ali) fishing gear in Arongan Lambalek District, West Aceh Regency. This research was conducted from June to July 2020. The data collection method was purposive sampling method with 20 respondents. The analyzes used total cost, total beneficiary, profit and RCR. The results showed that, the amount of catch of fishermen using Lift Nets (Ali) fishing gear in Arongan Lambalek District was 2.872 kg / month with an average of 144 kg / month / fisherman, the total cost of 20 fishermen was Rp. 24.540,278 with an average total cost of Rp.1.227,013 months / fisherman, the amount of revenue from 20 fishermen is Rp.73.235,000 / month with an average income of Rp. 3.661,750 months / fisherman and income from 20 fishermen is Rp.48.694.722 / month and the average income of fishermen is Rp.2.434.736 / month and the average RCR of Rp.2.98 months / fisherman, which means RCR> 1, then traditional fishing business using Lift Nets (Ali) fishing gear is feasible.

Abstract

Rendahnya keterampilan berfikir kritis pada siswa disebabkan karena penggunaan metode atau model pembelajaran yang kurang konstruktivis. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui dan mendeskrispikan pengaruh project based learning terhadap ketrampilan berfikir kritis pada materi pencemaran lingkungan di MAN Model Banda Aceh. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif dengan rancangan quasi eksperimen melalui desain one shot case study. Adapun populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah semua siswa kelas X MAN Model Banda Aceh  dengan sampel yang diambil adalah siswa kelas X IPA 2. Pemilihan sampel menggunakan teknik pemilihan sampel bertujuan (purposive sampling). Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan tes keterampilan berfikir kritis yang dilakukan pada akhir pembelajaran. Sedangkan untuk pengolahan data menggunakan statistic uji- t satu sampel (one sample t-test). Kata kunci: project based learning; ketrampilan berfikir kritis; pencemaran lingkungan.

Abstract

Kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi adalah kemampuan yang mencakup tiga aspek yaitu analisis, evaluasi dan penciptaan sesuai dengan implementasi kurikulum 2013. Berdasarkan pengamatan pra-penelitian yang dilakukan di SMAN 2 Koto XI Tarusan diperoleh bahwa instrumen yang digunakan oleh guru masih pada level kognitif C1-C3 dengan persentase C1 56%, C2 40%, dan C3 4%, sedangkan untuk tuntutan kemampuan berpikir level Siswa yang lebih tinggi harus mampu berpikir pada level kognitif C4-C6. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk  menghasilkan instrumen penilaian kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi tentang materi sistem pencernaan  dengan menggunakan model 4D  models. Subjek penelitian dua orang dosen biologi FMIPA UNP sebagai validator dengan rata-rata hasil validasi instrumen penilaian sebesar 78,82% dengan kriteria cukup valid. Ini menunjukkan instrumen penilaian kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi tentang materi sistem pencernaan cukup valid dikembangkan dari segi materi, konstruksi, bahasa serta tingkat kognitif instrumen penilaian kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi sehingga dapat digunakan untuk mengukur kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi peserta didik tentang materi sistem pencernaan.
