Abstract

This research describes using differentiated learning from PAI materials in SMA Negeri 1 Tawangsari. Then, this research also explores the factors supporting and inhibiting differentiated learning. The design used is a qualitative descriptive design. The data collected using interview design and observation will be analyzed using qualitative data analysis. The research results show that differentiated learning in PAI materials at SMA Negeri 1 Tawangsari includes three main types: content differentiation, process differentiation, and product differentiation, tailored to the three primary learning styles: auditory, visual, and kinesthetic. Supporting factors for differentiated learning involve aligning learning types with students' interests, talents, and learning styles despite individual differences. On the other hand, inhibiting factors include students' misuse of mobile phones. The evaluation of differentiated learning positively impacts student achievement, which ultimately shapes their interests, talents, and learning styles, leading to more optimal learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study examines the selection system for new student admissions at Islamic Religious Universities in Indonesia and its correlation with students' Grade Point Average (GPA) in UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung, UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya, UIN Walisongo Semarang. This research adopts a mixed-methods approach, integrating both quantitative and qualitative analyses. The quantitative analysis utilizes correlation techniques and descriptive statistics to examine relationships within the data. Meanwhile, the qualitative analysis employs content analysis of policies and documents, complemented by in-depth interviews with election officials and a comprehensive literature review, to investigate the transparency and efficiency of the selection system. Findings reveal no significant correlation between the specific admission pathway and the student's GPA. This suggests that the existing selection system is equally effective across different entry channels in predicting academic success as measured by GPA. The study underscores the importance of maintaining transparent, inclusive, and accountable admission processes, enhancing public trust in Islamic Religious Universities. The research contributes insights into optimizing student selection processes to align with educational goals and uphold academic standards.

Abstract

This study aims to identify Santri's perceptions of the challenges and opportunities in learning the sorogan method in Modern Islamic Boarding Schools. The research method is a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation studies. Data analysis was conducted through thematic coding to find the main patterns of santri perceptions related to the implementation of the sorogan method. The results showed that sorogan has significant advantages as an individualised learning method, especially in improving in-depth understanding of the yellow classical books and shaping santri characters, such as patience, discipline, and responsibility. However, the challenges faced include time constraints due to the tight schedule combining formal and diniyah curricula and the need to adapt to technology. On the other hand, great opportunities are seen in integrating technological elements, such as audio or video recordings and learning applications, which can complement the effectiveness of this method. This research also proposes the Hybrid Sorogan model, which combines the traditional sorogan approach with modern technological innovations, to answer the needs of Modern Islamic Boarding Schools without losing the core values of this method. The research conclusion confirms that the sorogan method remains relevant and adaptive to the needs of the times, provided that strategic and innovative management is carried out. The findings contribute to the pesantren education literature and offer practical guidance for developing tradition-based learning methods in a modern context.
