Abstract

This research aims to analyze the leadership strategies of Tuan Guru in implementing the Ma’had curriculum in Ma’had Darul Qur’an Wal-Hadith Nahdlatul Wathan East Lombok and Ma’had Darul Hikmah Kediri West Lombok. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach with a case study type and a multicase design. To obtain research data, researchers used observation, interviews and documentation methods. Checking the validity of the data using data triangulation and method triangulation. The research results show that first, the ma’had curriculum planning process includes planning objectives, content/teaching materials/materials, methods, media and evaluation by involving administrators, teachers and curriculum staff. This curriculum planning aims at transformative leadership and charismatic leadership. Second, the implementation of the ma’had curriculum includes learning methods (sorogan, bandongan and discussion methods), implementation of the contents/study materials of the yellow book (turats) and evaluation. The implementation of this curriculum combines the methods of the Salafi curriculum model and the integrated curriculum model which leads to a moderated curriculum model that strengthens the social reconstruction curriculum. And third, the implication of the Tuan Guru leadership strategy is to have graduates who master the yellow book and have a deep understanding of Islam, mahasantri become Islamic cadres and are able to contribute positively to Islamic educational institutions and society, mahasantri are able to apply Islamic teachings and become uswatun hasanah.

Abstract

This research aims to identify the factors causing students' lack of discipline, understand the implementation of a persuasive approach in fostering student discipline, and identify the supporting and inhibiting factors in implementing a persuasive approach to fostering student discipline. The type of research is qualitative. There are three informants. Data collection techniques in this study include observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis techniques used are reduction, presentation, conclusion drawing, and verification. The research findings are as follows: The causes of students' lack of discipline include a lack of respect from students, their environment, and the crucial role of the family in shaping students' character; The implementation of the persuasive approach in fostering student discipline was carried out according to the plan agreed upon by the madrasah principal and teachers, resulting in students displaying disciplined behavior, adhering to rules, and engaging in positive activities; Supporting factors for the persuasive approach include teachers' understanding of the persuasive approach itself and the cooperation of all teachers. The inhibiting factor in student discipline is the inconsistency in understanding among school members regarding the persuasive approach. The research location is at Madrasah Aliyah Hidayatul Mubtadi'ien, Sumber Makmur, Kampar Regency.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the implementation of the At-Tibyan method in read the Al-Qur’an online at Graha Qur’an Wadi Mubarak, as well as the strategies and factors that support or inhbiting  read the Al-Qur’an online using the At-Tibyan method. The research methodology employed is qualitative research, with 7 participants involved. Data analysis follows the Miles Huberman analysis approach, involving data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and verification/conclusion. The research findings indicate that the At-Tibyan method used in read the Al-Qur’an online at Graha Qur’an Wadi Mubarak involves preparation, implementation, and evaluation stages, and is supported by factors such as qualified instructors and active participant involvement. However, challenges such as poor internet connectivity and limited participant engagement are also encountered.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the quality management of Islamic Homeschooling services at PKBM Ahsani, Bandung City. This type of research was descriptive qualitative. Data collection was conducted through interviews with PKBM leaders, teachers, and staff, direct observation of the learning process, and study of documents related to policies and curriculum. Qualitative data analysis through thematic analysis was conducted. This research found that first, PKBM Ahsani Bandung which provided Islamic Homeschooling services, needed to pay attention to the learning outcomes implemented, and paid attention to the quality of human resources, especially in terms of character and high creative ability. Service quality management was mandatory for PKBM considering the high desire of parents to obtain a good educational environment for their children. Second, The Blended Learning Learning Model was the choice of PKBM Ahsani in providing Islamic Homeschooling services because it was considered effective for the implementation of Islamic Homeschooling student equality education programs. Islamic Homeschooling could develop their own curriculum and had flexibility in Islamic Homeschooling time management so that the vision of Islamic Homeschooling could be achieved.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the learning of Islamic Education for children with intellectual disabilities in Sekolah Luar Biasa (SLB) Negeri Binjai and Sekolah Luar Biasa Negeri 1 Binjai, including planning, implementation, learning evaluation, as well as barriers and solutions in learning. The research method uses a qualitative approach with a multi-site study to explore the learning process at SLB Negeri Binjai and SLB Negeri 1 Binjai The research findings indicate that Islamic Education learning in both SLBs includes the introduction of basic Islamic concepts, teaching methods tailored to the needs of students, and parental involvement in the learning process. However, there are still obstacles such as limited resources and a lack of training for Islamic Education teachers. In conclusion, this research provides a significant contribution to efforts to improve the quality of Islamic education for children with special needs SLB Negeri Binjai and SLB Negeri 1 Binjai.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the decision-making process and management of educational transformation at the Mamba'ul 'Ulum Islamic Institute, Surakarta. The research uses a qualitative approach. Data collection through observation, interviews, literature searches and documentation. Data was analyzed using the Miles & Huberman interaction analysis model, namely data collection, data reduction, data display and conclusion drawing. Checking the validity of the data through triangulation of data sources. The research results show that the decision-making process at the Mamba'ul 'Ulum Surakarta Islamic Institute goes through four stages: problem identification, situation analysis, problem formulation and decision. The management of educational transformation is based on the vision of becoming a world class Islamic Institute characterized by Islam rahmatan lil 'alamin producing individuals with strong faith, lots of knowledge and good deeds by 2035. The educational transformation carried out is: First, the leadership style at IIM Surakarta has transformed to become more democratic. Second, the transformation of higher education governance conventional services to digital-based services. Third, financial management is transformed into outputs and outcomes based. Fourth, the learning method is transformed into blended learning. Fifth, the pattern of cooperation that tends to be formal in meeting accreditation demands is transforming into one based on outcomes and the principle of usefulness.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze moral values and their implementation in increasing the spiritual intelligence of santri. This study is a qualitative descriptive study with a phenomenological approach. Data were collected by means of interviews, observations, and documentation studies. Then the data were analyzed by data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusions/verification. The results of the study indicate that the values ​​of moral education implemented are the values ​​of Tawadlu’, discipline, honesty, and simplicity. Moral education is implemented with a management approach, namely planning, implementation, and supervision. Planning starts from deliberation to program determination. The implementation of moral education is integrated into scheduled Islamic boarding school programs such as muhadoroh kubro (public speaking) activities, deliberation, nadzaman, tasrifan, and other programs. Furthermore, moral education is evaluated during the activity (formative) and after the activity (summative).

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the PAI learning evaluation model in the Merdeka curriculum. To find out the obstacles faced by teachers in implementing the Merdeka Curriculum in PAI subjects.  This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data collection was carried out through interviews, observation and documentation. The data analysis technique goes through the stages of data reduction, display and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the Merdeka Curriculum emphasizes flexible evaluation that gives students the freedom to determine their interests and talents. The evaluation used includes diagnostic, formative and summative assessments, using types of assessment instruments in the form of rubrics and anecdotal notes. Teachers face obstacles in implementing the Merdeka Curriculum such as time constraints during working hours, lack of involvement of school stakeholders with parents, diversity of student abilities, and less than optimal feedback and monitoring follow-up.

Abstract

This study evaluates the Wirid Youth Program implemented at SMAN 2 Lengayang in Pesisir Selatan Regency, aimed at reducing juvenile delinquency and shaping student character. This study adopts a quantitative research paradigm. The evaluation employed the CIPO method (Context, Input, Process, Output) through surveys and interviews with randomly selected participants. The validity of questionnaire items was tested using the Pearson Product Moment formula. The data analysis technique with data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and verification and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that all program components context, input, process, and output are rated highly. The program effectively addresses teenagers' needs and challenges, provides accessible locations and satisfactory facilities, and is smoothly coordinated. As a result, there is increased teenage participation, enhanced religious knowledge, and positive behavioral changes. The program has met its objectives and positively impacted the participants. This evaluation underscores the program’s success and offers insights for future improvements and program development.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation and development of the Al-Islam and Muhammadiyah (AIK) curriculum at SMP Muhammadiyah 7 Surakarta. This research approach uses a descriptive qualitative method with a focus on evaluating curriculum implementation and material development. Data collection was carried out through in-depth interviews, classroom observations, and analysis of curriculum documents. The results of the study show that although the implementation of the Al-Islam and Kemuhammadiyahan (AIK) curriculum at SMP Muhammadiyah 7 Surakarta has been going well, there are several challenges that need to be overcome, such as limited time in the implementation of classroom learning and the need to innovate teaching methods so that students are more interested. Not only that, the quality of teachers is a crucial fact in the implementation of the curriculum. This research provides insight into the importance of developing a curriculum that is adaptive to the changing times and student needs, as well as improving teacher competence in teaching Al-Islam and Muhammadiyah subjects.
