Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the student learning outcomes taught usingthe Gallery Walk method on recount text material in Science X Class Academic Year2019/2020. This research is an experimental research with one-group PreTest-PostTest Design with the study population students of class X IPA consisting of 66 students in 2 classes. The sampling technique is purposive sampling. The sample is 32 class X IPA 2 students. Data collection technique is multiple choice test instrument totaling 15 items, each item has 5 options. Data analysis technique uses descriptive statistical analysis. The result of the study is that the average score data before applying Gallery Walk is 55,92 and after applying it is 69,90. The influence of Gallery Walk method on student learning outcomes in this study is 13,98.(=69,90-55,92) and students who had reached KKM (75) as much as 29,03% compared with the previous as much as 6,45%. So it can be concluded that the use of Gallery Walk method can increase student learning outcomes of the recount text material on Science X students.

Abstract

The classic problem in the learning process conducted by the teacher is that the teacher is still the center of attention; the teacher does not use learning media; The teacher does not innovate in learning. These classic problems must be immediately addressed so that the learning process becomes more interesting. One way to fix the problem is the teacher participates in lesson study activities. In this study, researchers wanted to find out how effective lesson study was able to improve teacher competence in the learning process in PAUD. This school action research takes place in PAUD throughout the Dindikpora Regional District Kranggan District Temanggung Regency T.A. 2019/2020, with a total of 12 research subjects. Implementation of activities carried out through 2 cycles. The data analysis technique uses qualitative analysis which is used for qualitative data obtained from teacher observations during the learning process and during the lesson study. The results of this action research are: 1) Lesson study improves the ability of teachers in the learning process in PAUD throughout Dindikpora Regional District Kranggan District Temanggung Regency 2019/2020 Academic Year by 12.35%, in the good category.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) describe the impact of online learning on the pedagogicalcompetence of grade 1 teachers at SDN Mangkubumen Lor No 15 Surakarta during the pandemic period; (2) to describe the impact of online learning on the professional competence of grade 1 teachers at SDN Mangkubumen Lor No 15 Surakarta during the pandemic period. This research used descriptive qualitative research methods with a case study approach. The data collection technique used the interview method and documentation study. The sampling technique used purposive sampling, namely grade 1 teachers of SDN Mangkubumen Lor No. 15 This study used Miles and Huberman field data analysis techniques with 4 steps, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The validity test used is using the Gregory technique analysis through the assessment of 4 experts. The results of the study show that the impact of online learning during the pandemic has resulted in low pedagogical and professional competence of primary school teachers, seen from several indicators that each competency has not been implemented by teachers optimally

Abstract

This research aims to (1)  know the differences in reading comprehension skills between students taught using the Directed Reading Thinking Activity (DRTA) learning strategy and the Preview Question Read Summarize Test (PQRST) learning strategy; (2) know the differences in reading comprehension skills between the student who has high reading interest and low reading interest; (3) know the interaction between learning strategies and reading interest on students' reading comprehension skills. The study population was all grade IV students of Laweyan District Elementary School, Surakarta 2019/2020 Academic Year. Samples were taken by cluster random sampling technique. Samples obtained from this technique are SD Negeri Pajang 1 No.93 and SD Karangasem No.61 as the experimental class while SD Bratan III and SD Pajang IV as the control class. The results showed that first, there are differences in the reading comprehension skills of students taught using the Directed Reading Thinking Activity learning strategy and students who were taught using the Preview Question Read Summarize Test; second, there are differences in reading comprehension skills between the student who has high reading interest and students who have low reading interest; third, there is no interaction between learning strategies and reading interest in reading comprehension skills.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is 1). To find out the use of Kopel Wae media inthe learning of shot put on Class VII B students of SMP Negeri 2 Pakem. 2). Todescribe the improvement in learning outcomes of shot put using the Kopel Wae mediafor Class VII B students of SMP Negeri 2 Pakem. This research is a Classroom ActionResearch consisting of two cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, action, observationand reflection. The data in this study were taken from observation, evaluation, anddocumentation. Data were analyzed descriptively. Research results: 1). Cycle 1 gradeaverages 77.43. Cycle 2). The class average is 81.94. Based on these results it can beconcluded that the use of Kopel Wae Media in shot put learning can significantlyimprove the learning outcomes of Class VII B students of SMP Negeri 2 Pakem. Theincrease in learning outcomes is indicated by an increase in the average value of theclass from cycle 1 and cycle 2 by 4.51% and an increase in the number of studentscompleting learning from cycle 1 and cycle 2 by 18.75%.

Abstract

Early childhood is a golden period for child development to acquire an educationalprocess. Children are entrusted by God that we must take care of and educate us to become useful human beings. Children have the right and opportunity to develop, especially in the field of education. As a golden method, the child's brain will develop rapidly. Early childhood education is very important for the survival of the nation and really needs serious attention from the government. The early childhoodcluster is very useful for early childhood educators to increase the creativity of early childhood educators. Activities carried out in the early childhoodcluster are in the form of developing the quality of teachers according to their competencies, cooperating with the business world and the community that cares for early childhood education, conducting surveillance programs, increasing community participation, developing cluster innovations.

Abstract

Abstract. This research aims to improve representation skills of data presentation for fourth grade students of Mangkuyudan Elementary School Surakarta in 2018/2019 academic year by by applying Number Head Together (NHT). This Classroom Action Research consisted of two cyles with two learning in each cycle. Subject in this research were students and teacher in IV grade of Mangkuyudan Elementary School Surakarta. Research data collection by way of interviews, observations, test, and document analysis. Source triangulation and technical triangulation used for data validity. The data in this research used descriptive comparative analysis techniques and interactive analysis model by Miles and Huberman. Classical completeness of students in initial condition was 3,33%, in first cycle showed 40%. then in second cycle showed 80%.

Abstract

Early childhood education is the most strategic stage of education in efforts toincrease human resources. However, it will be successful if it is supported by the quality of implementation, especially the performance of the educators. Therefore there needs to be quality control efforts through fostering teacher performance by means of on the job and of the job training. Based on theoretical exposure and discussion of problems, it can be concluded as follows: (1) That early childhood education has a strategic role in preparing resources quality human resources in the future; (2) The administration and implementation of early childhood education, especially in the informal route, has not shown the expected quality, both in facilities and infrastructure and in the performance of educators; (3) PAUD supervisors have a strategic role in coaching educators at both the institutional, village and sub-district levels through On the job Training and Off the job Training approaches to improve Educator competencies which include pedagogical, professional, social and personality; (4) PAUD supervisors need or must equip themselves with the various abilities needed in the implementation of the Educator competency development function.

Abstract

Abstract.The objectives of this School Action Research are to: (1) increase teacher competence in making HOTS questions, (2) increase teacher involvement in joint activities through In House Training (IHT) (3) increase the insight and knowledge of Wonowoso Elementary School teachers in terms of understanding of the concept of HOTS questions. This research was conducted based on the fact that some of the teachers of SD Negeri Wonowoso Korwil II Surakarta City Education Office did not understand about the standard of assessment, especially in the preparation of HOTS questions. The form of this research is in the form of school action research using a cycle model. Each cycle used has several stages, namely the planning stage (planning), the implementation stage (acting), the observation stage (observation), and the reflection analysis stage (reflecting). As the population of this research, there are 9 teachers of SD Negeri Wonowoso. Data collection techniques of data variables through observation, documentation, interviews. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that there has been an increase in the performance of SD Negeri Wonowoso teachers in preparing HOTS questions after carrying out In House Training (IHT) activities.Keywords: Teacher Performance ,HOTS, In House Training (IHT)

Abstract

The research aims at describing character values incorporated in the embedded meaning of lives mottoes employed by the students of Bahasa Indonesia Education and Letters Study Program. This research applied qualitative approach and used content analysis method. The results show that there are exposed 1) character values that are related to the presence of God called religiosity, 2) character values that are placed on positioning oneself as indispensable; firstly hard-working that is grounded in respective human beings in building success, consistently in spreading the joy of kindness, hard-working in building prosperity; secondly responsible that is exposed as a means of living the life, being aware of life is encountered as teaching and learning media; thirdly independent which is represented in being capable of working without any helping from the others, succeed accomplished through the bitter of life paths, and becoming a kind person; 3) character values that are related to another human beings; firstly which is incorporating friendship and communication skills in a mutual friendship; as the key for maintaining kindness towards others, 4) character values that are related to the neighbourhood which is keeping the surrounding by loving it as the medium of livelihood understanding.
