Abstract

This research has aims to find out: (1) is there  is any difference between the storytelling skills of the students taught by the role playing method and expository method; (2) is there any difference between the storytelling skills of students who have high emotional intelligence and  low emotional intelligence; and (3) is  there an interaction between the learning method and the emotional intelligence toward storytelling skills.This research method used is a 2x2 factorial design experimental method. The study took a subpopulation which has an equality  curriculum in 2013 were applied. The sample taken are consists of three state schools for experimental class, control class, and instrument class. The technique used in analyzing the research data is the Variance Analysis Technique (Anava) two ways. Based on the research findings, the writer can conclude as follows: (1) there is a difference between storytelling skills of the students taught by the role playing method  and by an expository method; (2) there is a difference between the storytelling skills of students who have high emotional intelligence and low emotional intelligence; and (3) there is no interaction between learning method and emotional intelligence toward storytelling skills.

Abstract

Trilogy novel, Rara Mendut is one of the historical evident in fictional-historical novel which reveals reality in fictional expression. Rara Mendut tells the main character, woman with strong and struggle oriented in gaining her goals. The struggle and principle of life dominated the story through its episodes compiling by the author, Y.B. Mangunwijaya. This research aims to dig up the principle of life, condition, and belief of people in Mataram Islam through the presentation of main character, Rara Mendut, Genduk Duku, and Lusi Lindri. Sociological approach and theory of sociology are used as theoretical framework to result the goal of the research. The result shows that in people of Mataram Islam had belief and perfoemed islam rules as the religion spred by Wali in Java island. The attitude and characters of Rara Mendut shows the values of Islamic teaching in the background of Matara Islam in novel Rara Mendut.

Abstract

Literary work in the form of drama or prose is seen as a psychological phenomenon that displays aspects of psychology (structure of personality) through the characters of the story. This study aims to describe Willem's personality structure in the form of id, ego, and superego. This descriptive qualitative research used content analysis to study the novel Dasamuka. The approach used in this study is the literary psychology proposed by Sigmund Freud. The validity of the data in this study was obtained using triangulation methods. Data analysis technique employed in this study is interactive analysis technique. The findings of this study are that Willem's id is dominated by the instinct of death and avoidance of discomfort; Willem’s ego is shown by strong efforts and decisions in realizing their desires and duties; and Willem’s superego is seen in the understanding of the moral or rules in society, the emergence of humanity, and feelings of guilt or sin.Keywords: personality structure, Willem, novel DasamukaKEPRIBADIAN TOKOH WILLEM DALAM NOVEL DASAMUKA KARYA JUNAEDI SETIYONOAbstrak Karya sastra berbentuk drama atau prosa dipandang sebagai fenomena psikologis yang menampilkan aspek-aspek kejiwaan (struktur kepribadian) melalui tokoh-tokoh ceritanya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kepribadian Willem yang berupa id, ego, dan superego. Penelitian kualitatif bersifat deskriptif ini menggunakan analisis isi untuk mengkaji novel Dasamuka. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah psikologi sastra yang dikemukakan oleh Sigmund Freud. Keabsahan data dalam penelitian ini diperoleh dengan menggunakan triangulasi metode. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik analisis interaktif. Temuan penelitian ini adalah id Willem didominasi oleh naluri kematian dan sikap menghindari ketidaknyamanan; ego Willem ditunjukan dengan usaha dan keputusan-keputusan yang kuat dalam mewujudkan keinginan dan tugasnya; dan superego Willem, yakni memahami moral atau aturan masyarakat, munculnya sisi manusiawi, dan perasaan bersalah atau berdosa.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to improve the writing of explanatory text skills by applying Lesson Study learning models and Direct Instruction Learning Models. The subjects of this study were fifth grade students at Surakarta were selected using cluster random sampling. This study uses an experimental method with a 2x2 factorial design. Data were collected using a questionnaire for data about students' interest in learning and data writing skills tests in outlining student texts. Data were analyzed using the two-way ANAVA test, different cell content with a significance level of 0.05. The results of the study that, (1) there are differences in explanatory text writing skills between students who are guided by Lesson Study and Direct Instruction learning models (FA = 4.63> Ftable = 4.00) (2) there are differences in the skills of expansive text writing among students who have high interest and low interest (FB = 4.056> Ftable = 4.00) (3) there is no interaction effect between learning models and interest in learning to write explanatory text writing skills (FAB = 0, 42 <Ftable = 4.00 ).

Abstract

This research is intended to find the different of reading comprehension ability of student that teached by teaching Directed Reading Thinking Activity (DRTA) learning strategy within Know-Want to Know-Learned (KWL) learning strategy, the different of reading comprehension ability of student that have the high reading interest and low reading interest, and the interaction between learning strategy and studied reading interest on the reading comprehension ability. This study was a quasi experimental research methode design by 2×2 factorial design. Population of the research are all student at fifth grade of elementary school in Laweyan district Surakarta in the academic year of 2017/2018. Samples were taken by cluster random sampling technique. The selected sample are Pajang 1 elementary school and Karangasem 1 elementary School. The data collecting uses test and non test technique. This research used two ways anava data analysis technique and used Scheffe method as a further testing after two ways anova with 5% of significance level. The result of research shows that a different of reading comprehension ability of student that teached by Directed Reading Thinking (DRTA) learning strategy within Know-Want to Know-Learned (KWL) learning strategy, there was a different of reading comprehension ability of student that have the high reading interest and low reading interest, and there was an interaction between learning strategy and reading interest on the reading comprehension ability.

Abstract

Majalengka merupakan salahsatu kabupaten yang berada di wilayah 3 Cirebon Jawa Barat. Berbatasan dengan wilayah Cirebon yang berbahasa Jawa “Cerbonan” dan kabupaten Indramayu yang  berbahasa Jawa Indramayu, di wilayah bagian selatan kabupaten Majalengka berbatasan langsung dengan kabupaten Tasikmalaya, Garut, Ciamis yang merupakan wilayah Sunda Priangan. Letak geografis tersebut menjadikan kabupaten Majalengka memiliki beragam dialek bahasa dan juga kearifan lokal yang bervariatif. Pengaruh bahasa Sunda dan Bahasa Jawa secara signifikan menambah khazanah kearifan lokal yang ada di kabupaten Majalengka, selain itu pengaruh sejarah kebudayaan juga memiliki urgensi penting dalam perkembangan dan pemertahanan kearifan lokal di kabupaten Majalengka. Artikel ini membahas mengenai kearifan lokal yang ada di kabupaten Majalengka, perkembangan kearifan lokal dideskripsikan berdasarkan paparan dari informan utama dari masing-masing kecamatan yang dijadikan partisipan penelitian. Selain itu, dideskripsikan pula mengenai pemertahanan kearifan lokal kabupaten Majalengka dalam menghadapi arus globalisasi yang berdampak pada degradasi budaya. Salahsatu hal yang dapat dilakukan dalam pemertahanan kearifan lokal adalah mengintegrasikan kearifan lokal Majalengka sebagai materi ajar mata kuliah Sosiolinguistik.Kata kunci: kearifan lokal, Majalengka, materi ajar, mata kuliah, Sosiolinguistik Majalengka is one of the regencies located in area 3 Cirebon, West Java. It is bordered by Cirebon, which speaks Javanese "Cerbonan" and regency of Indramayu which speaks Javanese Indramayu, in the southern part of Majalengka district, it is directly adjacent to Tasikmalaya, Garut, Ciamis districts which are the Sunda Priangan region. This geographical location makes Majalengka district have various dialects of the language and also varied local wisdom. The influence of Sundanese and Javanese languages significantly adds to the treasure of local wisdom in Majalengka district, besides that the influence of cultural history also has an important urgency in the development and maintenance of local wisdom in Majalengka district. This article discusses local wisdom that exists in Majalengka district, the development of local wisdom is described based on the exposure of the main informants from each district who were the research participants. In addition, it also describes the preservation of local wisdom of Majalengka district in facing the flow of globalization which has an impact on cultural degradation. One of the things that can be done in maintaining local wisdom is integrating local wisdom of Majalengka as teaching material in Sociolinguistics courses.Keywords: local wisdom, Majalengka, teaching materials, courses, sociolinguistics

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter dalam kumpulan cerita rakyat dari Pacitan. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan sumber data penelitian berupa Buku Cerita Rakyat dari Pacitan terbitan Grasindo 2004 yang memuat 10 judul cerita. Analisis data dilakukan dengan teknik analisis isi (content analysis). Hasil penelitian menunjuk- kan bahwa Cerita Rakyat dari Pacitan sebagai suatu karya sastra mengandung nilai pendidikan karakter yang meliputi: (1) religius; (2) jujur; (3) kerja keras; (4) kreatif; (5) rasa ingin tahu; (6) semangat kebang- saan; (7) menghargai prestasi; (8) cinta damai; (9) peduli lingkungan; (10) peduli sosial; dan (11) tang- gung jawab. Nilai-nilai tersebut menjadi dasar bahwa cerita rakyat selain digunakan sebagai media memperkenalkan kisah-kisah yang diyakini nenek moyang kepada keturunannya, juga bisa sekaligus menjadi sarana mendidik karakter pada diri mereka. Kata Kunci: pendidikan karakter, nilai-nilai karakter, cerita rakyat, Pacitan  CHARACTER EDUCATION CONTENT IN FOLKLORE PACITAN’S Abstract: This study aims to describe the value of character education in the compilation of Pacitan’s folklore. The method used is qualitative descriptive method with data source of research in the form of folklore from Pacitan published by Grasindo 2004 which contains 10 story titles. Data analysis is done by content analysis technique. The results show that Pacitan folklore as a literary work contains the value of character education which includes: (1) religious; (2) honest; (3) hard work; (4) creative; (5) curiosity; (6) Spirit of nationalism; (7) respecting achievement; (8) love of peace; (9) environmental care; (10) social care; and (11) responsibility. These values form the basis that folklore is used as a medium for introducing stories that ancestors believed to their descendants, as well as being a means of educating their character. Keyword: character education, character values, folklore, Pacitan

Abstract

This research aims to (1)  know the differences in reading comprehension skills between students taught using the Directed Reading Thinking Activity (DRTA) learning strategy and the Preview Question Read Summarize Test (PQRST) learning strategy; (2) know the differences in reading comprehension skills between the student who has high reading interest and low reading interest; (3) know the interaction between learning strategies and reading interest on students' reading comprehension skills. The study population was all grade IV students of Laweyan District Elementary School, Surakarta 2019/2020 Academic Year. Samples were taken by cluster random sampling technique. Samples obtained from this technique are SD Negeri Pajang 1 No.93 and SD Karangasem No.61 as the experimental class while SD Bratan III and SD Pajang IV as the control class. The results showed that first, there are differences in the reading comprehension skills of students taught using the Directed Reading Thinking Activity learning strategy and students who were taught using the Preview Question Read Summarize Test; second, there are differences in reading comprehension skills between the student who has high reading interest and students who have low reading interest; third, there is no interaction between learning strategies and reading interest in reading comprehension skills.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) determine whether there is a relationship between reading habits and description writing skills; (2) the relationship between grammar mastery and description writing skills; (3) the relationship between reading habits and mastery of grammar with description writing skills. This research uses a correlational method. The sample consisted of grade V students in 10 elementary schools, totaling 212 students. The data collection techniques used a descriptive writing test, a multiple choice test for grammar mastery, and a questionnaire for reading habits variable. Data were analyzed using simple correlation and multiple correlation. Based on the results of data analysis, the following conclusions are obtained: (1) there is a significant relationship between reading habits and description writing skills, ry1 = 0.606. The correlation coefficient tested using the t test, tcount = 11.0464 > ttable = 1.9713. (2) there is a significant relationship between grammar mastery and description writing skills with ry2 = 0.697, the significance of the correlation coefficient is calculated using the t test, tcount = 14.0993> ttable = 1.9713. 3) there is a significant relationship between reading habits and grammar mastery with descriptive writing skills as much as ry12 = 0.779. The results of the significance test using the F test showed that the Fcount = 161.88> Ftable = 3.0391 obtained from the Ftable with df 209 level α = 0.05. So it can be concluded that reading habits and grammar mastery have a significant relationship with description writing skills.

Abstract

Pendidikan abad 21 diharapkan menghasilkan sumber daya manusia  cakap keterampilan abad 21. Guru harus mengintegrasikan informasi teknologi sarana untuk membantu belajar peserta dengan bahan ajar, metode, dan media pengajaran  berbasis teknologi. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan E-Modul Flipbook berbasis PBL untuk memberdayakan keterampilan berpikir kritis pembelajaran IPA sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif  . Data dan sumber data diambil dari wawancara dan angket untuk guru. Kemudian, data dianalisis dengan analisis interaktf Milles & Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa e-modul Flipbook berbasis PBL dapat memberdayakan keterampilan berpikir kritis pembelajaran IPA sekolah dasar sebagai inovasi media digital abad 21. E-modul berbasis Flipbook sebagai media pembelajaran yang dipadukan teks, narasi, video, soal latihan dan integrasi dengan model pembelajaran. E-modul Flipbook berbasis PBL sebagai solusi efektif pembelajaran IPA abad 21 sesuai dengan karakter materi dan gaya belajar peserta didik abad 21 sebagai digital native.
