Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of available mathematics teaching materials that are attractive and in accordance with the characteristics of primary school students. In addition, students' mathematical understanding is still low regarding the Geometry material. Based on these problems, the purpose of this research is to develop rainbow book teaching materials and to analyze the impact of using these teaching materials on mathematical understanding of students. This research is a development research using the 4D model, namely define, design, develop and disseminate. At the disseminate stage, an analysis of the impact of using teaching materials on student understanding is carried out. The instruments used were questionnaires and tests, questionnaires were used to assess the appropriateness of teaching materials both in terms of content and media. While the test is used to see students' mathematical understanding. Based on the results of the development, it was found that the rainbow book teaching material was feasible based on the content and media expert's assessment. The assessment of the two experts shows that the rainbow book can be used as teaching material in geometry materials for primary school students. In addition, based on the results of user responses, students stated that students showed good responses to learning using the rainbow book. The results of the comprehension test showed that the remainder after learning to use the rainbow book obtained an understanding score of 83.75 with a very good achievement category. Keywords: Teaching Materials, Rainbow Book, Student Understandig

Abstract

AbstractInnovative learning in the industrial era of 4.0 emphasizes strengthening the character values integrated into traditional culture or customs in an area. In the Betawi Cultural Village, in particular, Integrated Thematic Learning is integrated with various traditional arts to develop the character values contained therein. However, in the process of teaching and learning activities, the implementation still tends to be separate for each subject. This research aims to create a product of character values learning model. The method used in this research is research and development using the Borg & Gall model through seven stages. The type of data used in this research is quantitative and qualitative data. Based on the results of the trials in this research, shows that the learning model developed, overall can be used without revision. This is indicated by the validity level of the model developed at 90.5% with very valid criteria (can be used). While the practicality level is indicated by the acquisition of a score of 96.04% with very practical criteria (can be used), and the effectiveness of the product is seen with a score of 88.25% with very effective criteria (can be used). The results of developing a learning model based on group investigation in this thematic learning can be suggested to be studied and utilized by all students. Keywords: Innovative Learning; Character Values; Betawi Culture.

Abstract

Abstract This research was motivated by teachers who were not satisfied with the results obtained from mixed counting story problems learning in elementary schools. Therefore, the problem being studied is how the influence of story problems learning using the constructivism approach for 4th grade of SDN Saruni 4. The method used is a qualitative method with classroom action research techniques (action research). The techniques of data collection were carried out using instruments in the form of student worksheets, observation sheets, interview guidelines, field notes, and photo cameras, then the data obtained were analyzed and reflected. This research was conducted in two cycles; each cycle was carried out according to the changes wants to be achieved, as what had been designed in the investigated factors. The skills developed include the ability to solve story problems of addition and subtraction mixed counting operations. The average score of the pre-cycle is 54.71, the first cycle is 71.76, and the second cycle obtains 85.88. Thus, the mastery level of students' concepts about story problems with the constructivism approach has increased generally. Abstract

Abstract Introduction, The purpose of this study is description an objective result of Assessment for Learning and Modality Profiling who early identified student with Specific Learning Disability (SpLD/LD). Objectives, Participants in this study were 25 students (13 boys and 12 girls) in second grade elementary school (Ages 8-9 years old) with 24 non-disability students and one student with motoric disability, class room teacher, parents, and headmaster. Method, Using case study this research describes five of the eight steps of the Special Education Approach: (1) Screening, (2) Evaluation, (3) Eligibility Determination, (4) Individualized Educational Program (IEP) Meeting, and (5) Write IEP. Findings, Students who showed frustration level in the result of the Academic Assessment (Reading, Writing, and Math) were 38% (62,5% for one skill and 37,5% for all the skills). With the result of the developmental Assessment of DVA (L) and JML (L) there were no obstacles, while RST (L) was identified as having obstacles in skills of social, cognitive (correspondence and conservation), perception, and Language (pronunciation). Conclusions, To identified as SpLD the students need multidisciplinary approach. Modality Profiling for underachiever to provide the earliest intervention, so there is an increase in learning outcomes. Keywords: Learning Disability; Assessment; Modality Profiling.
