Abstract

Abstract. The study of principals’ leadership and teacher performance in improving the quality of graduates are aims to analyze the level of contribution of principals’ leadership in encouraging teacher's teaching performance which has impact on improving the quality of learning outcomes, and to analyze the level of teaching performance of teachers in improving the quality of learning outcomes. The contribution of the principals’ capability to motivating teacher teaching performance shown good results towards student graduate outcomes. According to the result of research, there is a positive relationship between teacher teaching performance and graduates’ quality by 3,35%. It means, Education must be able to answer the demands of today education, especially those that equip students with life skills and vocational competencies. Armed with the principle of developing school autonomy, the school must be able to develop management to be able to prepare qualified graduates who are competitively competent and have the same ability. The role and ability of the principal in creating and developing management is an important factor. Abstract

wisdom in Indonesian language lessons in class III elementary school and to see the feasibility of snake ladder learning media products based on local wisdom in the eyes of Indonesian language lessons in class III elementary school that is being developed worthy of expert. This study was conducted in Karang Tumaritis Elementary School with research subjects in class III with 20 students in limited trials. The type of research used in the development research (Research and Development) of Borg and Gall which issued from Sugiyono consisted of 6 stages. The instrument used was a questionnaire for expert validation and student response. The result of the shielding test by experts on the quality of the media that can be used in very large calculations is 88%. The results of the limited trial on students towards the media really correspond to the percentage of 93.33%. The results of the study can be concluded that the media developed are very effective in the process of learning Indonesian.  Keywords: snake ladder media, local wisdom, Indonesian

Abstract

The background of this research is the students' difficulties in solving two-dimensional shapes, and the students' learning outcomes are still low. Then in the learning process, requires an approach that can improve students' activity and students learning outcomes, namely the RME approach. In this research, the subject of Mathematics learning activities with the RME approach were the 24 students of 6th-grade. In this study uses the model of Classroom Action Research (CAR). Based on research with a Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach on the material of two-dimensional shapes in 6th-grade has a great influence on improving student understanding. The results of the study showed that there were student activities scores using the RME approach starting from cycle I with the score of 1.9, in cycle II with a score of 2.9, and in cycle III with the score 3.9. On pre-cycle student learning scores got 4.2, cycle I 5.5, cycle II 6.8 and cycle III got a score of 8.2. So, it can be concluded that the use of the RME approach in mathematics learning about two-dimensional shapess can improve student activities and student learning outcomes with good improvement. Keywords: Realstic Mathematic Education (RME), Learning Outcomes

Abstract

Abstract. This research was motivated by the problems found in elementary schools, which are students’ low literacy ability and lack of supporting books in learning. This research aimed to develop pocket book teaching material, determine the feasibility and the effectiveness of the 5W + 1H based pocket book on the kingdoms history material to improve reading literacy in the fourth grade elementary school students. The Development Procedure used the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Small group trial subjects were 10 students from grade IV Shidiq and large group trials were 28 students from grade IV Amanah. While the operational field trial were conducted on 30 students from grade IV Fatonah and Tabligh. The results of the research on the feasibility test of media expert got a score of 78,91 with the category of "very feasible", material expert got a score of 93,2 with the category of "very feasible", learning expert got a score of 93,2 with the category of "very feasible", and language expert got a score of 85,4 with the category of "very feasible". In the assessment of the response of the teachers got a score of 93,62 with the category "very feasible" and the assessment of grade 4 students got a score of 97,82 with the category of "very feasible". The effectiveness was tested using One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design and analysis using the normality test and Paired T-test. In the normality test, the data obtained were normally distributed with a significance value of pretest 0,98 and posttest (200). While in the Paired T-test, the average score is 69,00 pretest and posttest and the results of the significance (p) is 0,000 and smaller than the significance of 0.05 (0,000 <0.05).

each cycle consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The aspects that observed in each cycle are the student activities, and the learning process of fractions using the original teaching aids. The subjects of this research were 15 students consisting of 6 male students and 9 female students. The results of research of the students' abilities in the fractions subject, each cycle have an improvement. Cycle I, the average score of the students was 53.80 with a percentage of completeness is 13.33%, students who achieved KKM only 2 students. Cycle II, the average score of students was 67.53 with a percentage of completeness is 66.67%, students who achieved KKM are 10 students. Cycle III, the average score of students was 77.33 with a percentage of completeness is 86.67%, students who achieved KKM are 13 students. From applying the three cycles, there was an improvement in students' abilities on the fractions subject. The increases of the average score from cycle I to cycle II is 13.73, the percentage increase to 53.33%, and the students who reach KKM increase to 8 students. The increase in the average score from cycle II to cycle III  is 9.80, the increase in the percentage is 20%, and the increase number of students who reach KKM is 3 students. Based on the indicators of successes in the cycle III, shows that the teaching aids from the original objects that are applied can improve the students' abilities in the fractions subject in 5th grade of SDN 18/V Kuala Indah, West Tanjung Jabung District. Keywords: Mathematics Learning Results, Original Teaching Aids

Abstract

Abstract. The low self-efficacy (SE) and student learning outcomes (LO) are the backgrounds of this study. This research is to see the relationship between SE and LO students through the Concrete-Pictorial-Abstract (CPA) approach. The research method used is quasi-experimental, with nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design in mathematics learning of 119 elementary students in Purwakarta, Subang, Karawang, and Bekasi. The instrument uses a description test and attitude scale. The results of the analysis show that there is no relationship between the achievement and increase of students' SE and LO with the value of R on the achievement and increase of SE and LO respectively 0.044 and 0.053 and significance> 0.05.Keywords: Concrete-Pictorial-Abstract (CPA) approach, Self-Efficacy (SE), Learning Outcomes (LO)

Abstract

Abstract. This research is to describe the ability to express opinions and difficulties experienced by students to express their opinions in thematic learning on grade 4th students of SD Negeri 2 Kedungsoko. The type of research used in this research is descriptive qualitative research by collecting data using observation, interviews and documentation. The study began on March 25, 2019 until June 18, 2019 in the fourth grade students of SD Negeri 2 Kedungsoko with a total of 21 students. Based on the data analysis with five indicators of ability to express opinions, from 21 students showed that in the aspect of conformity of opinion 11 students had good abilities, aspects of fluency 9 students with good abilities, aspects of courage 9 students with good courage, aspects of clarity of opinion 7 students with good abilities, aspects of the coherent of ideas/concepts 2 students with good abilities. The ability to express opinions in thematic learning on fourth grade students of SD Negeri 2 Kedungsoko can be concluded that 12 students are still less able to express their opinions well. The difficulty experienced by students to express their opinions in thematic learning is the difficulty of expressing their opinions clearly, being unable to communicate opinions with a good language, doubts in expressing opinions, unclear voice intonation, lack of the coherent of ideas / concepts delivered. Keywords: Ability to express opinions, thematic, students.

Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this research was to describe and analyze the relationship between student's perceptions on the use of android-based learning media and science learning outcomes of 5th-grade students at SDN Harjatani, Serang Regency. The method used is a survey method with a quantitative approach, data collection by distributing questionnaires to students. The sample in this research was 32 students at SDN Harjatani, Serang Regency. Based on the results of the analysis, it can be seen that: There is a positive relationship  between  student’s  perceptions  of  the  use  of android-based learning media with learning outcomes at SDN Harjatani Serang Regency, this is proven by the value of rcount > rtable (0.897 > 0.3388). This shows that the better student’s perceptions of the use of android-based the learning media, the higher the learning outcomes and vice versa, the worse student’s perceptions of the use of android-based learning media, the lower student learning outcomes.Keywords: Student’s Perception; Learning Outcomes; Science

Abstract

The science learning process has changed from classroom to online education. This leads to blended learning-based learning in a relatively short amount of time today, placing many challenges and burdens on teachers. Motivation to direct the learning process is important to understand how technology can prepare teachers' abilities in the future, which is an integral part of the learning process. This study aims to measure the willingness of elementary schools in different parts of Indonesia to practice blended learning. This study is a descriptive and quantitative study. The survey was conducted although it needs improvement in mastering Technological Knowledge. So it on 64 primary school teachers with 1 to 10 years of teaching experience in 16 states of Indonesia, who are currently training in-service teachers at Sultan Agung Tirtayasa University. The survey results show that the teacher`s ability to use each component in the TPACK is generally categorized as "very good", can be concluded that the elementary school teachers are considered capable of carrying out the blended learning process. This picture can be used as a benchmark for developing the ability of teachers to improve the quality of the quality learning process and coexist with technological developments.

Abstract

AbstractThis research is motivated by the low quality of science learning in elementary schools. The objective of this research is to produce a product in the form of developing a learning model improved thinking skills to improve the student learning outcomes. This research uses a Research and Development approach. The research phase includes (a) preliminary study, (b) identification results which are used as the basis for model development, and (c) the models that have been developed are then tested extensively. During the model trial, modifications were made to the implementation of the model; adjustments were made according to the needs of teacher performance improvement. There is always an improvement in the model design, implementation, and evaluation of every trial that has been carried out. The results of the extensive trials show that the learning model improved thinking skills has a good effect on improving the student learning outcomes. Based on the statistical test through t-test = 0.05 (95% significance) obtained a significant difference in the learning outcomes in each trial. In conclusion, the learning model improved thinking skills can improve student learning outcomes in science learning and can improve the teacher’s performance in science learning. Keywords: Learning Model; Improved Thinking Skills
