Abstract

Abstract. This research aims to know the steps of development and the feasibility of Kataya (Replika Peta Budaya) media in 4th grade of elementary school. The research method used is the Research and Development (R & D) method with reference of Borg and Gall development model which developed by Sugiyono. This model consisting of 10 stages; (1) the potential and the problems (2) collecting the information (3) product design (4) design validation (5) design revision (6) small group product trial (7) product revision (8) large group product trial (9) final product revision (10) mass production. This research is limited only in 6 stages. Expert validation was carried out by media experts, material experts and education experts, with the research subjects of 4th grade students of SDIT Dauroh, amounting to 24 students, from the data obtained get the average expert validation score of 92.67%, with the "very feasible" category. Student responses on trials got an average score of 86,83% with the "very good" category. So it can be concluded that the Kataya (Replika Peta Budaya) media is feasible and can be used in elementary schools. Keywords: kataya (replika peta budaya) media, thematic learning

Abstract

Abstract. This research was conducted to improve the learning result from SD Negeri Salatiga 12 on the 2nd  grade’s mathematics by applying Realistic Mathematic Education (RME) approach. The research was based on the Pre-test results by 73.7% of the students that do not fulfill the Minimum Criteria of Mastery Learning (KKM) which is 70. The completeness of students’ learning outcomes at pre-test stage reaches a percentage of 26.3%. This research is an Action Class Research (PTK) using pre-test and post-test. The subjects of this research are 38 of 2nd grade elementary students of SD Negeri Salatiga 12. The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive statistics and hypothesis which are tested by T-test (comparisons). The results showed that there is a significant differences between the pre-test and post-test which are taught with a Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach, which is the Sig (2-tailed) = 0.000 < 0.05 then Ho denied. From this results of research, shows the increased learning can be seen from the results of the Post-test that reach the presentage of mastery learning 84.2%. This can be stated that the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach are able to improve the achievement of learning math of 2nd grade elementary students in SD Negeri Salatiga 12.  Keyword: Realistic Mathematics Education (RME), learning outcomes

Abstract

This research was conducted to find out the increased in understanding  of elementary school students' teaching material through the use of kits for kids on discovery learning models. This research used quasi-experimental method using the matching only pretest and posttest control group design. The learning process in the experimental group applies the discovery learning model with kit for kids while the control group applies traditional learning. Learning take place during two meetings, both in the experimental group and control group. Each learning process is conducted the observation process of the implementation of learning activities. The subjects in the experimental group were 23 students and in the control group were 22 students. The research instrument uses multiple choice tests. Data analysis techniques used n-gain mean data and U Mann-Whitney SPSS Version 22 non-parametric test. The results showed that the increase in understanding of teaching materials on students who received discovery learning model assisted with a kit-for-kid was higher than students who received traditional learning. Keywords: Discovery Learning; Understanding Teaching Material

Abstract

Abstract. The School Action Research (PTS) was conducted to discuss the application of the “Senturi” model towards the discipline of teachers’ arrival. Senturi stands for "Time Presence for Self-Control". At the beginning, the average arrival of teachers at 07.25 or only 8% did not came late, the rest 92% still come late. Of course this condition is very worrying. From this problem, the researcher tries to solve the problem by applying the Senturi Attendance List, which is the attendance list by calculating the teacher's arrival time on the card and the format provided. This type of research is quantitative and qualitative experimental research. The base population is all Teachers / Staff in Group V as many as 82 people. And the sample is all teachers / staff of Curug Public Elementary School as many as 13 respondents. By determining the sample approved in the opinion of Arikunto (1992: 107) namely "if the object of research is greater than 100 respondents taken 20%-30%. But if less than 100 respondents, the sample was taken entirely”. This research concludes "The application of the "Senturi Attendance List” has a significant influence on the disciplines improvement of teachers’ arrival to school". This is supported by data on the average improvement of teachers' arrival to schools from 07.25 to 07:00, and those who arrived late starting at 92% dropped significantly to only 8%.Keywords: time discipline, senturi model
