Abstract

Objectives: The research focuses on the high turnover intention ratio in the East Java banking sector. The aim is to explore the role of emotional intelligence (EI) in reducing employee turnover by considering thriving at work (TW) and career adaptability (CA). This research highlights the importance of emotional intelligence and its positive effects through training programs to reduce Turnover Intentions (TOI).Methodology: This research used an explanatory quantitative method involving 105 frontline employees. The sample used a saturated sampling method. Data was collected through questionnaires distributed to all frontliners, with 103 questionnaires returned. The data were analyzed using the SEM-PLS method.Finding: The result found that EI does not directly influence frontline employees' desire for TOI. Nonetheless, employees with high levels of EI tend to thrive more at work, reducing their desire for TOI. The ability to develop and adapt in the work environment can be a more significant factor in reducing TOI.Conclusion: EI is important in reducing the TOI of Bank frontline employees. Employees with high EI can better develop and adapt to a stressful work environment, reducing TOI and increasing well-being and commitment to self-development.

Abstract

Objectives: The millennial generation dominates the workforce in Indonesia, earning the title of "fleas" or the "hopping generation" due to the high intensity of job changes. The purpose of this study is to develop an integrative model for engaging millennials in the workplace that incorporates individual resources (psychological capital), and resources derived from the workplace (inclusive leadership, quality of work life, and psychological safety).Methodology: This study used a quantitative approach. The research sample comprises 152 hospitality employees working in 3-5-star hotels in Yogyakarta city. The data was collected using a purposive sampling technique. A questionnaire was distributed to the research sample and was then analyzed using the PLS-SEM technique.Finding: Inclusive leadership and psychological capital exert a positive and significant effect on the quality of work life. The quality of work life also has a positive and significant effect on work engagement; and it acts as a mediator between inclusive leadership and work engagement, as well as between psychological capital and work engagement. However, psychological safety does not enhance the effect of inclusive leadership on the quality of life or the effect of psychological capital on work engagement. Therefore, organizations must strive to fulfill the employees' quality of work life to maximize the psychological capital and the application of inclusive leadership within the organization, thereby fostering work engagement in the workplace. Conclusion: The results of this study indicate that the quality of work life plays a pivotal role in work engagement and inclusive leadership has a positive impact on the quality of life among the millennial generation employee.

Abstract

Objectives: The objectives of this research are: 1) to determine the effect of interest rates on the IHSG; 2) to determine the effect of the exchange rate on the IHSG; 3) to know the effect of the interest rate on the IHSG with inflation as moderation; and 4) knowing the effect of the exchange rate on the IHSG with inflation as moderation. Methodology: This research methodology was carried out using a quantitative model with a moderating effect analysis method which was processed using SmartPLS 3.0. The research findings and conclusions show that the significance value of interest rates is 0.747>0.05, which means that interest rates do not influence the IHSG. This means that interest rate movements during 2017-2022 are stable so that it does not cause investors to withdraw shares which has an impact on weakening the IHSG. Furthermore, the significance value of the exchange rate is 0.010<0.05, which means that there is an influence of the exchange rate on the IHSG. This is caused by the instability of the exchange rate in Indonesia during 2017-2022, because an increase in the exchange rate means that dividends distributed will decrease and investors will withdraw their shares, resulting in a weakening of the IHSG. Finding: The moderation of inflation on the effect of interest rates on the IHSG obtained a significance value of 0.000<0.05. Likewise, the moderation of inflation on the impact of the exchange rate on the IHSG obtained a significance value of 0.000<0.05. Conclusion: Inflation significantly moderates the influence of the interest rate and the exchange rate on the IHSG

Abstract

Objectives: The phenomenon of turnover intention should be a concern for the company or organization owners. The phenomenon of turnover intention can be detrimental to the organization's survival. This study examines how the role of transformational leadership, job satisfaction, and perceived organizational influence turnover intention and how these roles modify organizational commitment.Methodology: This research uses quantitative research with a causality approach, with the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) analysis method. The reason is that PLS-SEM can predict complex latent variables from a study. This research was conducted on J & T Cargo expedition employees in Tangerang Regency and a total sample of 131, testing the inner model and outer model and bootstrapping tests to test the mediation of organizational commitment.Finding: As formulated in the hypotheses, the results are consistent, where transformational leadership and employee job satisfaction significantly affect turnover intention, but perceived organizational support has no significant impact on turnover intention. Similarly, transformational leadership, job satisfaction, and perceived organizational support significantly impact organizational commitment. Thus, organizational commitment mediates the significant effect of transformational leadership, job satisfaction, and perceived organizational support on turnover intention. Theoretical and practical implications are presented. Conclusion: Organizations that emphasize developing transformational leadership qualities and prioritizing employee satisfaction will be better positioned to avoid turnover intention. By recognizing and acting on these insights, organizations can build positive employee engagement, retention, and success cycles. In summary, transformational leadership and job satisfaction significantly affect turnover intention, as satisfied employees are less likely to consider leaving their current organization.

Abstract

Objectives: This study aims to examine the effect of corporate social responsibility and competitive advantage on economic performance in addition to using integrated corporate governance as a moderating variable. Thus, this study also aims to determine whether integrated corporate governance strengthens or weakens the relationship.Methodology: The research method used is moderated regression analysis (MRA). Data used in this research is secondary data from IDX. In addition, this study tested the classical assumptions and tested the accuracy of the model to find out which model was the most appropriate. The number of samples used in this study was 201 samples from the annual year 2020-2022.Finding: The results show that CSR does not affect economic performance, competitive advantage has a positive effect on economic performance, CG strengthens the influence of CSR on economic performance and CG strengthens the influence of competitive advantage on economic performance. Conclusion: Governance is an important factor in company performance because it can moderate the relationship between competitive advantage and CSR with performance. This research indicates the importance of competitive advantage to improve company performance. This is supported by the RBV theory which states to make good use of company resources. Also, governance could become quasi-moderation because it could become a moderator variable and could influence an independent variable.Novelty: This research uses different measurements of integrated corporate governance measurement. ICG measurement in this research is using developed POJK no 2/POJK 05/2014 indicators.

Abstract

Objectives: This study aims to examine the influence of work-family conflict (WFC) and self-efficacy on the psychological well-being and performance of female lecturers in Bandung. It also explores the mediating role of psychological well-being in these relationships to provide a comprehensive understanding of how these factors interact to affect the productivity of female lecturers.Methodology: This quantitative study used a survey and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) via SmartPLS 4 to examine relationships between WFC, self-efficacy, psychological well-being, and performance. WFC and self-efficacy were the exogenous variables, psychological well-being was the mediator, and performance was the endogenous variable. A sample of 140 married female lecturers from West Java and Banten with at least three years of experience was selected using purposive and accidental sampling.Findings: Work-family conflict (WFC) negatively affects both psychological well-being and performance, while self-efficacy positively influences both. Psychological well-being significantly enhances performance and partially mediates the effects of WFC and self-efficacy on performance, with mediation effects of 32.27% and 26.67%, respectively. Conclusion: This research highlights the importance of addressing work-family conflict and fostering self-efficacy to enhance psychological well-being and performance among female lecturers. Institutions can improve lecturer performance by supporting mental health initiatives and helping lecturers manage WFC. Additionally, increasing self-efficacy through confidence-building programs can contribute significantly to both psychological well-being and productivity. This study fills gaps in previous research by offering a nuanced understanding of the mediating role of psychological well-being in the academic context, particularly for female lecturers balancing work and family responsibilities
