Abstract

This study is aims to obtain information on aspects of scientific literacy in science textbooks for class VIII odd semester materials for additives & addictive substances. The research instrument used in this study consisted of aspects of scientific knowledge, aspects of scientific competences and aspects of the context of science. The results of the research in books A and B shown that of the three aspects of scientific literacy, the scientific knowledge aspect has an average percentage of 69.45%, the scientific competences aspect has an average percentage of 22.52%, and the science context aspect has an average percentage of 69.45%. the average percentage is 8.03%. In book A, the science knowledge aspect is 67.74%, the science competences aspect is 25.81% and the science context aspect is 6.45%. Meanwhile, in book B the scientific knowledge aspect is 71.15%, the scientific competences aspect is 19.23% and the science context aspect is 9.62%. This shows that book B contains more aspects of scientific knowledge and aspects of the context of science and book A contains more aspects of scientific competences.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kebutuhan mahasiswa akan pengembangan petunjuk praktikum kimia dasar berbasis kimia hijau di program studi pendidikan kimia FKIP Universitas Sriwijaya. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian survey dengan instrumen berupa kuesioner yang terdiri dari 6 pertanyaan pilihan yang disertai jawaban terbuka. Partisipan pada penelitian ini adalah 50 mahasiswa aktif semester 1 di Program studi Pendidikan Kimia FKIP Universitas Sriwijaya tahun akademik 2021/2022. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa diperlukan pengembangan petunjuk praktikum berbasis kimia hijau pada mata kuliah kimia dasar di program studi pendidikan kimia FKIP Universitas Sriwijaya.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of the Science Technology Society Environment approach and reflective inquiry strategy (STSE-IR) in Food Chemistry on carbohydrate topics to practice Evaluative Thinking skills. This research was conducted at the Chemistry Education Study Program in one of the state universities in South Sumatra. The research subjects were students who took the Food Chemistry course in the odd semester of 2018/2019. Research data collection was carried out in August-November 2019. The type of research used was descriptive research. Researchers Obtain information from the implementation of chemistry lectures through observations and Student Work Sheets. The instruments used are observation sheets and Work Sheets Students. Data collection techniques through observation and analysis of Work Sheets documents. The results of the study are as follows. The steps for lectures on Carbohydrates by Lecturers who were observed by observers have been carried out according to the STSE-IR approach stage. The results of the student Work Sheets assessment showed that the average implementation of the STSE-IR approach was 86.15%. Carbohydrates Lecture using the STSE-IR Approach has trained students' evaluative thinking skills. The STSE-IR approach can be used on other topics in food chemistry and other interdisciplinary courses and other thinking skills.Keywords. Abstract

Penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan (Development Research) yang ditujukan untuk mengembangkan Buku Petunjuk Praktikum Kimia Anorganik 1 yang valid, praktis dan memiliki efektivitas untuk pembelajaran Praktikum Kimia Anorganik 1 pada mahasiswa Program studi Pendidikan Kimia Jurusan Pendidikan MIPA FKIP Unsri. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian pengembangan produk ADDIE yang dimodifikasi dengan Tessmer. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar validasi, lembar angket, dan data nilai pre dan post test. subjek expert review terdiri dari ahli content, desain dan pedagogik, sedangkan subjek ujicoba kepraktisan adalah maha siswa yang mengambil mata kulian Kimia naorgani 1 di p;rodi pendidikan kimia kelas Palembang. validasi draft menghasilkan prototype 1 dikategorikan sangat valid dengan skor validasi content 3,60 (sangat valid), validasi pedagogik 3,5 (sangat valid) dan validasi desain 3,50 (Sangat valid). Pada ujicoba One to one diperoleh nilai kepraktisan sebesar 3,27(sangat praktis) untuk prototype 1 yang kemudian menjadi prototype 2, yang selanjutnya diujicoba small group diperoleh nilai 3,31 (sangat praktis). prototype 3 pada uji field test diperoleh nilai keefektifan sebesar 0,53 (sedang). Hasil peneltian di dapatkan buku petunjuk praktikum kimia anorganik 1 untuk pembelajaran mahasiswa program studi pendidikan kimia jurusan pendidikan MIPA FKIP Unsri adalah valid, praktis dengan tingkat efektivitas kategori sedang.

Abstract

The research aimed to 1) describe the quality of students' scientific literacy questions on the topic of green chemistry and 2) describe the students' initial scientific literacy skills in the class XI IPA1 of MAN Buleleng on the topic of Green Chemistry. The research sample consisted of students in class XI IPA of MAN Buleleng in the Academic Year 2021/2022, who had received Chemistry, Physics, and Biology content concerning Green Chemistry. The research instruments were scientific literacy test questions in 30 multiple choices compiled on Google Form. The research data analysis technique used the quantitative descriptive analysis method. Based on the results and discussions described, it can be concluded that: (1) the results of item analysis using IMB SPSS Statistic 25 reported information that all scientific literacy questions on the topic of green chemistry were valid and had very high reliability. The results of the analysis of students' literacy scores obtained information that students' initial scientific literacy skills on the dimensions of using scientific knowledge were 40% in the very low category; the dimensions for identifying questions were 50% in the low category; the dimensions for drawing conclusions based on evidence were 40% in the very low category; the dimension of understanding nature and its changes was 40% in the very low category, and the dimension of making decisions about nature and its changes was 44% in the low category. Furthermore, hopefully, the research results can be used to reference further research.Keywords: assessment; scientific literacy; green chemistryAbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk 1) mendeskripsikan kualitas soal literasi sains siswa pada topik kimia hijau, 2) mendeskripsikan kemampuan awal literasi sains siswa Kelas XI IPA 1 MAN Buleleng pada topik kimia hijau. Sampel dalam penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI IPA MAN Buleleng Tahun Ajaran 2021/2022 yang telah mendapatkan materi Kimia, Fisika dan Biologi dalam kaitannya dengan Kimia Hijau. Instrumen dalam penilian ini adalah soal tes literasi sains berupa pilihan ganda yang berjumlah 30 butir soal yang disusun pada Google Form. Teknik analisis data penelitian menggunakan metode analisis dekriptif kuantitatif. Berdasarkan hasil dan pembahasan yang telah di paparkan maka dapat disimpulkan: (1) Berdasarkan hasil analisis butir soal menggunakan IMB SPSS Statistic 25 didapatkan informasi bahwa semua butir soal literasi sains pada topik kimia hijau valid dan reliabilitas sangat tinggi. Hasil analisis skor kemampuan literasi siswa didapatkan informasi bahwa kemampuan awal literasi sains siswa pada dimensi menggunakan pengetahuan ilmiah sebesar 40% dengan kategori sangat rendah, dimensi mengidentifikasi pertanyaan sebesar 50% dengan kategori rendah, dimensi menarik kesimpulan berdasarkan bukti-bukti sebesar 40% dengan kategori sangat rendah, dimensi memahami alam dan perubahannya sebesar 40% dengan kategori sangat rendah,  dan dimensi membuat keputusan tentang alam dan perubahannya sebesar 44% dengan kategori rendah. Hasil penelitian ini dapat dijadikan sebagai acuan untuk penelitian selanjutnya.Kata kunci: asesmen, literasi sains, kimia hijau

Abstract

This study is a quasi-experimental research which aims to determine the effect of using virtual labs media in problem based learning (PBL) model toward students learning outcomes in class XI MIA SMA Negeri 1 Jeneponto study on acid base titration. This study design used is posttest-only control group design. These study population were all the students of class XI MIA of SMAN 1 Jeneponto which consists of six classes. The sampling technique is simple random sampling. The class XI MIA 3 as experiment group and XI MIA 5 as control group each of which consists of 31 students, the learning process is carried out online. Technique of collecting data of the learning result done by giving post-test to experiment group dan control group. In analysing the data, the researcher used descriptive and inferential statistics. The result of the analysis shows that the average of learning outcomes of experiment group is 77,47 higher than the control  group is 62,25. Result of hypothesis test by using Mann-Whitney test with ?= 0,05 (non-parametrik test) obtained that H1 is accepted and H0 is rejected. It shows that there is an influence of using virtual labs media in problem based learning (PBL) model toward students learning outcomes in class XI MIA SMA Negeri 1 Jeneponto study on acid base titration.

Abstract

This study is aims to analyze the salt hydrolysis material in the SMA/MA class XI textbooks based on the selection criteria of the 4S TMD. The selection of the 4S TMD used has criteria of the suitability of material with curriculum 2013, the truth of the concept, and influcation of values. The  suitability of material with curicculum 2013 in term of breadth of the material an the depth of concept. Based of the result of the analysis of the breadth of material  in textbook A there are 8 concept labels declared approprite. While the textbook B There are 8 concept labels which are stated to be approprite, and concept labels which is stated to be too broad.  The results of the analysis of the depth  of the concept of textbook A there is 1 concept that is declared approprite, 4 concept are not deepth, 3 concept are too deep. In the textbook B there are 2 concepts that are stated to be approprite, 3 concepts that are not deep enough, and 3 concepts are to deep. The results of the analysis of the truth  of the concept of textbook A there are  2 concept labels which are stated  according to the scientists, and 6 concept label which were stated not to be approprite. In the textbook B  there are 8 concept labels which are stated to e scientifcally correct. The result of the analysis of the instillation of the value of textbook A there are 8 value that are instilled namely, religious, tolerance, democratic, friendly/communicative, hard work, curiosity, discipline, and responsibility. In the textbook B there are 7 values that are instilled namely, tolerance, democracy, friendly/communicative, hard work ,curiosity, discipline, and responsibility. The result of the selection analysis show that textbook B it is better than textbook A can be used in learning activities.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan berpikir kritis dan persepsi siswa terhadap penilaian berbasis HOTS di SMAN 5 Palembang. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil  penelitian  menunjukkan  keterampilan  berpikir kritis  menurut Ennis (1995) diperoleh sebanyak 53,15% siswa berada pada kategori rendah dengan  nilai  50,57, kategori  sangat  tinggi  sebesar 3,13%  dengan  nilai  87,93, kategori tinggi 21,88% dengan nilai 74,62, kategori sedang 6,25% dengan nilai 64,65 dan kategori sangat rendah sebesar 15,63% dengan nilai rerata 36,55. Hasil penelitian keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa pada masing-masing indikator didapatkan indikator Basic Clarification dengan rerata 88 berada pada kategori sangat tinggi, indikator Basic Support memiliki rerata 71,71 dengan kategori tinggi, indikator Advanced Clarification dan indikator Inference dengan rerata 57,57 dan 47,86 dengan kategori rendah dan indikator  Strategies and Tactics dengan rerata 22,71 dengan kategori sangat rendah. Hasil penelitian diperkuat dengan persepsi siswa yang menunjukkan sebagian besar siswa dengan rerata 63% memiliki persepsi yang sangat positif terhadap proses pembelajaran di kelas. Hal ini juga diperkuat dari hasil wawancara dengan guru yang menegaskan bahwa kegiatan pembelajaran di kelas telah mengaitkan materi yang dijelaskan dengan kehidupan sehari-hari.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media evaluasi quizizz terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas XI MAN 2 Samarinda pada materi larutan asam dan basa. Jenis penelitian adalah eksperimen semu (quasi experiment design) dengan desain penelitian posttests only control design. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan tenik cluster random sampling. Kelas XI IPA 2 sebagai kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan media quizizz dan kelas XI IPA 3 sebagai kelas kontrol tanpa menggunakan media quizizz. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji normalitas, uji F dan uji t independent sample T Tes. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata hasil belajar pada kelas eksperimen yaitu 79 lebih tinggi dari kelas kontrol yaitu 76. Hasil analisis uji normalitas, uji F dan uji t independent sample T Test setelah perlakuan tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara hasil belajar siswa pada kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Sehingga dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa tidak terdapat pengaruh penggunaan media evaluasi quizizz terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas XI MAN 2 Samarinda pada materi larutan asam dan basa.Kata kunci: Media Evaluasi, Hasil Belajar, Larutan Asam dan Basa

Abstract

Misconception is defined as a result of someone's mistake in understanding a concept. This research was conducted with the aim of proving students' misconceptions on acid-base material using a three-tier multiple choice test instrument, and determine the factors that influence the occurrence of misconceptions in students. The type of research.used is qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The research was carried out in high schools in Palembang for the academic year 2021/2022 with 35 people. Data collection used a misconception test instrument, teacher and student interviews. The results showed misconceptions on acid-base material with an overall average of 54.33%. The results expected that the three-level multiple choice test instrument can be used by teachers to identify misconceptions that occur in other students.
