Abstract

The purpose of this study is: (1) How is the implementation of the values of nationalism in the study of history on the subject of independent organizations in a class of XI IPS I in Nusaputera National High School of Semarang? (2) What constraints are experienced by teachers when applying the values of nationalism in the process of learning the history of the subject of independence organizations in class XI IPS I in Nusaputera National High School of Semarang? (3) What efforts are made by teachers to overcome obstacles when applying the values of nationalism in the process of learning the history of the subject of independence organization in class XI IPS I in Nusaputera National High School of Semarang? This research is a descriptive qualitative research. The results showed that the implementation of the value of nationalism in learning history on the subject of independence organizations in the class XI IPS I National Senior High School Nusaputera Semarang has been running well. The value of nationalism implemented was from planning, execution, and evaluation, including religion, pride to be Indonesian, love of homeland and nation, discipline, and appreciation of the service of former heroes. Obstacles experienced by teachers are learning, moral decline, electronic media, and time constraints. Efforts made by teachers are continuously giving the delivery of the value of nationalism

Abstract

This study aims to know and analyze the feasibility of developing historical learning media with the Battle of Palagan Ambarawa subteam to the needs of students in class XI SMA N 1 Ambarawa. The method used in this research is Research and Development. The data sources in this study are teachers, students, the learning process, documents, and questionnaires. Data objectivity tests used are triangulation method, source triangulation, and validity. The data analysis technique in this research is qualitative descriptive for the preliminary, quantitative analysis technique for the development stage. The evaluation stage uses the Likert scale quantitative analysis technique. The feasibility level from the media experts showed an average of 82.78% (rated as an outstanding category), and material experts averaged 87.5% (rated as an exceptional category). Class XI IPS I got a response rate of 87.2% (outstanding category), and class XI MIPA IV got a response rate of 81.6% (rated as a good category).

Abstract

This research aims to describe the religious attitude and nationalism raised by the students of MAN Temanggung, explain the role of learning history in the cultivation of the value of spiritual character and nationalism in MAN Temanggung, and know the constraints faced by teachers in planting the value of religious character and nationalism in MAN Temanggung. The method in this research is qualitative. Result of study: 1. the attitude of religious and student nationalism at MAN Temanggung can be classified as good. This can be seen from the programs implemented by the school as the school’s rules, as long as it becomes a student’s habit; 2. The role of history learning as the implementation of religious values can be seen when the teacher serves the material about Islamic Civilization in Indonesia. Moreover, the role of history teaching in implementing nationalism can be seen when teachers deliver material about the Proclamation; 3. The teachers' obstacles include the planning, implementation, and evaluation process. The barriers in the planning process include a lack of supporting books that can increase historical material references. The obstacles to the implementation are the lack of time and the differences in students' character. The barrier in the evaluation is that the teachers cannot understand the character of each student.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to (1) Describe the development of teaching materials on the history of the independence of Indonesia in the cultivation of the values of nationalism grade XI. (2) knowing and analyzing the feasibility of handouts about essential events, Indonesia's 1945 proclamation of independence, as seen from the validation results, are performed by expert material and media experts as well as responses to teacher and student feedback. The methods used in this research are Research and Development with the qualitative approach with phases according to Borg & Gall, i.e., potential and problems, data collection, design validation, product design I, design revision I, design II, revision of Validation design II, and trial usage. Powerpoint and book packages are learning materials for use in the classroom. Conventional models, such as lectures, summarize teachers' use in teaching so that students ' reading interest is still low. Based on the results of the validation of the feasibility level of expert material and media expert handout showed results of 94.60% for stage I material validation and 96.01% for the validation of material phase II, as well as media validation to 97.44% for phase I and 98.57% for media validation phase II, besides getting the results of 93.42% teacher responses, as well as the results of the analysis of the responses of the students of 86.61% (both categories).

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the focus of local history learning, a manifestation of the role of the history teacher, and the constraints and efforts that history teachers make to develop students' character. This study employed qualitative phenomenological research. (2) The manifestation of the role of the history teacher was as a facilitator to facilitate student learning by providing, managing a classroom, giving examples, and evaluating local history teaching to XI IPS, as a supervisor to assist, direct, motivate, be a counselor and liaison between generations in learning local history, as a creative stimulus to give variations in teaching and add a source of local history. (3) The constraints faced by teachers were formed of students’ character, which was different between their house and the school, difficulties in adjusting characters to be achieved with the given material, difficulties in understanding the psychological condition of each student, the lack of supervision of students and social influences on the environment. Teachers' efforts by giving a good example, advising, guiding, motivating, using a personal approach, and providing religious knowledge were very good for developing students’ character, especially in local history learning.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was 1) to know the interest and learning outcome of the tenth graders at SMK N 04 Kendal before using e-learning quipper-based history learning media, 2) to know the difference in student interest and learning outcomes that use and who do not use e-learning media based on quipper school 3) to know the effect of using e-learning quipper school-based as history learning media towards the interest and learning outcome of the tenth graders at SMK N 04 Kendal. This research was experimental, using a quasi-experimental design with a nonquivalent control group design and survey method. The results of this research show that there is before using e-learning media based on Quipper's interest in learning, the average score of students' learning interest in the class was 67.83 with sufficient category and student learning outcomes before using e-learning media based on Quipper school is still under KKM (Minimal Mastery Criteria) 25.97 for pretest control class and 37.36 for pretest experiment class. The results t-test of students' learning interest shows a t value count as much as 9.084> 1.994 (t table), and the results t-test of students' learning outcomes shows t value count as much as 6.587 > 1.994 (t table). Therefore, there is a difference in interest and learning outcomes in the classroom that use and who do not use e-learning media based on Quipper school—using e-learning Quipper school-based history learning media towards students’ interest 40,3% and students’ learning outcomes as much as 27,5%. Therefore, the use of e-learning quipper school-based history learning media influences the interest and learning outcomes of the tenth graders at SMK N 04 Kendal.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the cultivation of values of multiculturalism in the study of the sub-material history of the Indonesian Hindu-Buddhist era, the student's understanding of the values of multiculturalism in the study of the history of the sub-material of the Indonesian Hindu-Buddhist era, and the implementation of values in everyday life. This kind of research is qualitative and uses a narrative approach. The research results show that the planting of multicultural values is done practically in classroom learning, which is integrated with the sub-subject of Hindu-Buddhist Indonesia. The cultivation of multicultural values is not found in the RPP and the syllabus, but the evaluation of some of the multicultural values implicitly is contained in the lesson plan; the students are aware of the teaching of tolerance values in the material of Hindu-Buddhist era and implement the values of multiculturalism in daily life.

Abstract

This research aims to find out the process of implementation of duties and social responsibilities of students in SMA PGRI 1 Pati, attitude and social behavior of learners when learning history in SMA PGRI 1 Pati, and the problem of implementation of education in form of attitude and social responsibility of learners in SMA PGRI 1 Pati. This research is a qualitative phenomenological research. The Target of this research is the history teacher of SMA PGRI 1 PATI and a student of class X IPS and XI IPS SMA PGRI 1 PATI. Data collection techniques used were observation, documentation, and interview techniques. Test data validity with Source Triangulation data analysis techniques using data reduction, display, reduction in conclusions, and verification. The results of this research are the processes undertaken in the classroom, outside the classroom with customary school rules, and in the classroom with meanings related to the values of existing characters that can shape students' social attitudes and behaviors. Attitudes and social behavior of high school students PGRI 1 PATI can be said to have been good. The constraints experienced by history teachers are government regulations that vary in different and different contexts. Keywords: character education; social attitudes; social behavior; historical learning.

Abstract

This research aimed to find out and analyze the learning process of history in SMA Semesta Semarang, find out and explore the implementation of socio-cultural values through history learning, and find out and examine the internalization of socio-cultural values in history learning in SMA Semesta Semarang. This method of this research is a descriptive qualitative. The subject of this research was the history teachers of grade X in SMA Semesta Semarang. The data collection was done using observation techniques, interviews, and documentation. In determining the validity of the data, this study used source triangulation. The data analysis technique was an interactive model for data reduction, presentation, and conclusion. The results showed that history learning in SMA Semesta Semarang had been running well. Before starting the learning activities, teachers first prepare a lesson plan. The lesson plan referred to Curriculum 2013. The teachers used the CTL (Contextual Learning) model and the lecturing method in the learning process. The implementation of socio-cultural values through historical learning was done by teachers spontaneously in the learning activities, and it was not written in the lesson plan. Internalization of the values of character education in the learning process was done through the learning activities in or outside the school. The process of internalizing socio-cultural values through the learning activities in the classroom was divided into three stages: Transformation, Transaction, and Trans-internalization. The internalization of socio-cultural values outside of the classroom learning activities was done through various school activities and habituations such as the presence of honest canteens, religious activities, and visiting historical places—keywords: internalization; values; social-culture.

Abstract

The purpose research is to know the teacher's understanding of authentic assessment on the curriculum of 2013 in SMA Negeri 1 Semarang, to see the implementation of authentic assessment conducted by teachers in SMA Negeri 1 Semarang, and to know the obstacles experienced by teachers in SMA Negeri 1 Semarang in authentic assessment. The research method used is a qualitative case study. The research location is in SMA Negeri 1 Semarang. This study's data sources are information from the deputy head of school curriculum, teachers and learners, learning activities, documents, and questionnaires. Data collection techniques include the interview method, documentation study, and observation. The results of this study show that history teachers have a good understanding of authentic assessment in the 2013 curriculum; history teachers have performed a good assessment of knowledge and skills assessment, while in terms of analysis and reporting of authentic assessment results, teachers use online value processing software; obstacles experienced by history teachers is the plurality of learners with different backgrounds and characters, while the factors that support teachers in implementing authentic assessment are quality learners, the availability of facilities and learning resources and the existence of software processing value.
