Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the social construction of the history teacher of the 2013 curriculum, the implementation of the 2013 curriculum, and the constraints on implementing the 2013 curriculum in history learning at high schools in Semarang Regency. This research includes qualitative data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, documents, and observations. This study's analysis technique uses data collection, reduction, presentation, and conclusion. This study found that in applying the 2013 curriculum in learning history, the social construction of the history teacher 2013 curriculum in high schools in the Semarang district varied due to the dialectical process teachers experienced through different experiences and influenced by several factors. In implementing the 2013 curriculum on learning, the teacher is adjusted to the characteristics of the school, school facilities, and infrastructure, and the characteristics of students applying the 2013 curriculum present various obstacles. Constraints faced by teachers include student activeness, lack of literacy, use of learning models and methods, and lack of training for teachers to help teachers understand the application of the 2013 curriculum in learning.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to identify the exemplary values of Ahmad Dahlan's leadership, which had been applied in the learning process, to prioritize the embedding of Ahmad Dahlan's values of exemplary in the learning process, and to analyze the obstacles of the learning process about Ahmad Dahlan's character. The method in this study was a qualitative type of case study. Informants were history teachers, teachers of Kemuhammadiyahan, class XI Muhammadiyah 1 High School Semarang. The results of this study indicate that KH Ahmad Dahlan has five values, as stated in Character Education Strengthening (KDP): religious values, independence, cooperation, nationalism, and integrity. The embedding of KH Ahmad Dahlan's exemplary value has been done quite well in the history of class XI learning Muhammadiyah 1 High School Semarang. Besides the history subject, the Kemuhammadiyahan subject also plays a vital role in cultivating KH Ahmad Dahlan's exemplary values in students. Obstacles in embedding K. H Ahmad Dahlan's exemplary values in the learning process, namely lack of use of the learning model used by teachers make students less interested in historical learning and lack of pedagogical competencies possessed by teachers so that the teacher has difficulties related to differences so much and also impossible that the teacher can understand the character of students one by one.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the increase in learning activities of Class VIII-B students of 7th Junior High School in Purworejo after following the Social Studies Learning Process with a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) Model and to determine the increase in social learning outcomes of the subject matter of employment after following the Social Studies learning process. This research was conducted using a classroom action research model. The Classroom Action Research (CAR) was conducted at the 7th Junior High School in Purworejo. The subjects in this study were students of class VIII-B, which amounted (to 30 students consisting of 12 men and 18 women). The selection of class VIII-B as a research subject is due to the activity; the activeness of students during the teaching and learning process is very low and can even be said to be passive; in line with that, the learning outcomes of students are also meager compared to other classes so it is necessary to increase student learning activities. This study's results indicate a significant increase in the two cycles carried out in activities and learning outcomes.

Abstract

The study aims to determine the effect of the historical learning (Soedirman sub-material) and students' perception of General Sudirman's figure on the national defense attitude of grade XI students in Senior High School 1 Rembang Purbalingga. The type of this research is ex-post facto research. The population in this research was the eleventh-grade students in Senior High School 1 Rembang Purbalingga. The research sample was the eleventh-grade students consisting of 8 classes taken each of 21 children from each class with 168 students. The variables in this study consisted of independent variables, that is, the historical learning chapter of Soedirman (X1) and the student's perception of Soedirman 's figure (X2), and the dependent variable is the attitude toward defending the country (Y). The data collection methods used were questionnaires and documentation. Data analysis used descriptive percentage analysis and multiple regression analysis. The results showed that historical learning and students' perception of Soedirman 's figure affect their attitude toward defending the country. This is proven by test F obtained from Simultaneous learning of the history chapter of Soedirman and the student's perception of Soedirman 's figure with the attitude of defending the country equal to 34.8%.

Abstract

The purposes of this research are (1) to analyze student's understanding of the historical values, (2) to analyze student's understanding of the implementation of the historical values, and (3) to analyze student constraints in understanding the historical values of Syarikat Islam organization, at Cokroaminoto 1 High School Banjarnegara. The approach of this research is qualitative with a case study strategy. Data sources include informants, events, and documents. Data collection techniques include observation, in-depth interviews, and document review—validity test of the data using data and methodological triangulation. Data analysis techniques use interactive models. The results showed that 1) students' understanding of the historical values of Syarikat Islam was not optimal. Students do not necessarily understand the historical values of Syarikat Islam even though the school is labeled Syarikat Islam. Students' understanding cannot be generalized into specific categories. 2) The student's understanding of the implementation of the historical values of Syarikat Islam is still lacking. Student implementation arises from understanding, while understanding arises from habituation. 3) Students also encounter considerable obstacles in understanding the historical values of Syarikat Islam from learning, facilities, and history teachers.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is (1) To analyze the media needs of Indonesian history, (2) to know the development of Indonesian history learning media-based videoscribe Demak kingdom material, (3) to know the media feasibility of Indonesian history study-based Videoscribe material of Islamic kingdom in Java sub material of Demak Kingdom given validation results conducted by material expert and media expert as well as teacher and student assessment. The method used in this research is research and development with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The results of this research show (1) That the learning media used by the history teacher of SMA Negeri 3 Salatiga Only used PowerPoint, picture video taken from the Internet, and a monotonous learning model resulted in subjects. Indonesia's history has become dull and less attractive, requiring more interesting learning media. (2) The development of Indonesian history Learning media Demak Kingdom material is made using the Sparkol Videoscribe software, which is based on media scripts and narratives (3) Based on the feasibility rate of material expert validation, media experts and learning experts respectively with a percentage yield of 88.55%, 94.65%, and 93.75%. And student assessment results of 86.5%. Thus, this media should be used to study Islamic kingdom material in Java, the Demak Kingdom's sub-material.

Abstract

This study aims to know the use of historical specialization teaching materials in early world civilization materials by history teachers in third graders High Schools/Madrasah Aliyah of the same level in Brebes and then to know student appreciation towards the history book used in historical subjects and implementation of teaching history material in learning history. The type of this research was qualitative, with data collection techniques using direct observation, in-depth interviews, and document studies. The results of this study indicate that the use of teaching materials provided by the schools has not been optimal. However, teachers use varied teaching materials that can increase student learning motivation. Student appreciation of valuing and assessing textbooks shows uniformity, but in the aspect of appreciating/interpreting students from two schools that are MAN 2 Brebes and SMAN 1 Bantarkawung, known that a small number does not have supporting books that are worksheets and summary of material prepared by teacher indicates that students have not appreciated/interpreted as an essential element in learning history. Teachers implement teaching materials by integrating teaching materials into learning methods that are interesting and varied. However, two of the three schools have technical problems in using instructional media; these were the availability of LCDs and inadequate projectors.

Abstract

IPS needs an innovative learning model to improve learning outcomes. This study intends to examine the influence of innovative learning models Have Student Question (QSH) on the learning outcomes of Sejarah students. The study was conducted in class VIII SMPN 1 Kendal. The conclusion of this study is: In the experimental class, the average score was 78, with the highest score of 95 and the lowest score of 65. In the control class, the average score was 69. The highest score was 85, and the lowest score was 60. The difference is insignificant because the question tests have lower difficulty levels. In the post-test, the average of the experimental class was 77.97, and the average grade in the control class was 69.35. There is a correlation between students' good results and the Student’s Question Have learning model.

Abstract

This article intends to examine differences in learning outcomes of IPS history subjects using a concept map of learning models compared with varied lecture models. Concept maps are applied in the experimental classes and lectures, and a varied learning model is applied in the control class. The population in this study consisted of students in grade IX SMP Negeri 1 Kandeman year 2011/2012, which amounted to 240 students. Sampling was conducted using random cluster sampling and obtained class A as class IX experiments (learning model concept map) and class class IX B as a control (lecture learning models vary). Learning outcomes by using a learning model map better than the concept of learning outcomes IPS History lecture on learning models vary. Advice and researchers hope that History Teachers can use the IPS model of learning a concept map as an alternative in teaching history to improve student learning outcomes and make learning history and social studies fun and exciting.
