Abstract

The presence of Ma'had Al-Jamiah at an Islamic religious college must be a laboratory for internalizing the values of religious moderation. The internalization process must run in line with the social demands of society through higher education institutions. This research was field research with a qualitative descriptive type, namely to reveal the process of internalizing the values of religious moderation to students at Ma'had al-Jamiah IAIN Padangsidimpuan. Collecting data used observation techniques, interviews, and documentation. Meanwhile, to analyze the data used triangulation, namely collecting data and classifying, presenting, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the process of internalizing the values of religious moderation using the theoanthropoecocentric approach (divinity, humanity, and the environment) was carried out with a learning process that was programmed into several parts, namely strengthening divine values compared to fiqh values that vulnerable to differences, prioritizing the concept of humane life through a pattern of living in a dormitory with values of harmony, togetherness, mutual respect for differences in understanding in religion, and creating an attitude of loving the environment. These three aspects are mutually reinforcing because they have a very close relationship. This study concludes that students who understand the true faith have a tolerant human attitude, and would appreciate God's creation in the form of the universe. Abstract

Efforts to improve student achievement can be started by procuring various factors influencing it. One crucial factor is to present a variety of teacher-teaching methods. Teachers very much need these factors and are more creative in carrying out more interesting learning so that students like the teacher and the content taught. Applying a Jigsaw approach or cooperative learning for students so that they have significant responsibility in learning can inspire students to speak in front of the class. This study aims to determine students' understanding of social studies through learning with the Jigsaw method of choice in class X SMK Negeri 3 Manado. With a qualitative design and a descriptive approach strategy, this study is expected to understand the level of mastery of social studies content using the Jigsaw method and approach. Data collection techniques are data analysis from a series of teacher interviews and direct observations in the classroom. A single case study because it only chose one location. The case study is anchored because it has focused on the problem under study before researching the field. The procedure for implementing qualitative research is flexible according to the field's needs, situations, and conditions. In general, the results of qualitative research show that it is closely related to achieving effective and efficient learning objectives. The relationship between the material and the tasks carried out by students needs to be clarified so that each group and its members need clarification about the discussion material and its objectives. In this connection, it is unwise for teachers to criticize students' opinions, especially their criticisms, constantly. Keywords:  Jigsaw Approach, Social Sciences, Learning Model

Abstract

Teachers are one of the main factors for the success of education. Parents play an important role in the task and are responsible for the formation of children's character both physically and spiritually. As educators, teachers are the main actors who walk side by side with parents and other important elements. This research analyzes the teachers' perception about English online learning design and the parents' perception about English online learning design at SMP Negeri 01 Seputih Surabaya. This research used a qualitative approach. The results showed that: 1) The teacher's perception of the implementation of online learning in English shows that the teacher feels that online learning is difficult to apply especially in shaping the character of students because teachers are less able to monitor and supervise students directly, lack facilities that support online learning, and teachers also complain that in delivering learning materials, students find it difficult to understand the lessons being taught. 2) Parents' perceptions of the implementation of online English learning show the ineffectiveness of online learning, this is due to parents who feel that their children are not optimal when studying and are still having problems while studying.
