Abstract

 Earthquakes are a natural phenomenon that causes a very large and very detrimental disaster impact. There needs to be awareness of the importance of disaster preparedness and response to minimize the impacts of disasters. Not only for adults, children also need to be introduced to disaster preparedness from an early age. One effort that can be made to improve the preparedness of children in Elementary Schools is to provide health education and earthquake disaster preparedness simulations. The purpose of this activity is to increase elementary school students' knowledge about earthquake disaster preparedness and introduce earthquake disaster preparedness students. The method used is to provide health education through lectures, discussions, quizzes, role plays, and earthquake disaster preparedness simulations for grade VI SDN Sukajadi, Subang Regency. The results of this activity are that students have a series of practical experiences through disaster preparedness student simulations. It is hoped that schools will be able to provide an understanding through earthquake disaster preparedness education, and conduct simulations together with the Badan Penanggulangan Bencana Daerah Kabupaten Subang.

Abstract

Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan aplikasi screening jantung berbasis Android yang memanfaatkan data hasil pemeriksaan kesehatan jantung serta meningkatkan pemahaman masyarakat terhadap deteksi dini penyakit jantung. Kegiatan ini menggunakan metodologi yang terdiri dari lima tahap utama: (1) identifikasi kebutuhan, (2) desain aplikasi, (3) pengumpulan data pemeriksaan kesehatan jantung, (4) pengujian dan validasi aplikasi, serta (5) pelatihan dan implementasi di masyarakat. Hasil pemeriksaan terhadap 500 partisipan menghasilkan data komprehensif mengenai profil risiko kardiovaskular pada populasi berisiko tinggi, termasuk faktor risiko seperti hipertensi, diabetes, obesitas, dan kebiasaan merokok. Berdasarkan data tersebut, sebuah aplikasi screening jantung akan segera dikembangkan dengan memanfaatkan algoritma machine learning untuk menganalisis faktor risiko dan memberikan prediksi serta rekomendasi personalisasi terkait kesehatan jantung. Aplikasi ini nantinya juga menyediakan fitur pengingat pemeriksaan kesehatan dan diharapkan dapat terintegrasi dengan sistem kesehatan nasional. Diharapkan, aplikasi yang akan dikembangkan ini dapat meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat tentang pentingnya deteksi dini dan pencegahan penyakit jantung, serta berkontribusi pada penurunan angka kematian dan morbiditas akibat penyakit kardiovaskular di masa mendatang.

Abstract

The rapid digitalization of the healthcare sector is transforming nursing education and practice, particularly in the area of clinical documentation. In Indonesia, as mandated by Peraturan Menteri Kesehatan Nomor 24 Tahun 2022, all healthcare facilities must document patient medical histories electronically. However, nursing students face challenges in practicing electronic documentation due to limited access to hospital-based EMR systems. This study aims to develop an Electronic Nursing Care (ENC) application as an Android-based platform for nursing students to practice digital documentation aligned with national nursing standards, such as SDKI (Indonesian Nursing Diagnosis Standards), SLKI (Indonesian Nursing Outcomes Standards), and SIKI (Indonesian Nursing Interventions Standards). The ENC application was developed using an Agile methodology, consisting of five sprints: backend development, core features, UI/UX integration, advanced features, and comprehensive internal testing. A 2023 prototype trial demonstrated high user satisfaction, with 93% of students expressing satisfaction with the app’s user interface and experience. The ENC application was designed to reduce the administrative burden on nursing students by offering tools for documenting the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The initial results indicate that the application meets technical specifications and has the potential to enhance nursing education by providing a structured, user-friendly platform for digital documentation. The study suggests further pilot testing in clinical settings, development of additional features, and ongoing evaluation to ensure the application’s success in nursing education and clinical practice.

Abstract

Waste management has become a crucial environmental issue as an increase of waste volume due to population growth and rapid urbanization. Lack of effective waste management can have an impact not only on polluting the environment, but can also threaten public health. Therefore, it is important to implement effective waste management to prevent environmental damage caused by waste. This Community Service aims to increase the ability and active role of the community in managing household waste through the establishment of a Healthy Productive Village program. This activity was carried out through several stages and a series of activities including socialization, demonstrations and training on household waste processing for 13 cadres and also 15 assisted families. The results of the service showed that participants knew and were able to sort waste based on its type, namely organic and inorganic, the formation of fostered families who were able to implement waste sorting and the creation of eco enzymes and hand washing soap from processing household waste. The result of this activity, namely the Healthy Productive Village Program, is expected to be a program that is not only implemented in Compreng village but also in other villages and districts in Indonesia to overcome the waste problem with effective and economically valuable waste management. Keyword: Productive healthy village, eco enzyme, waste management.

Abstract

Abstract

The implementation of hospital information systems in the digitalization-based era, including medical records, currently shows that there is a need for nursing education to focus on information education, including developing electronic-based practical student nursing care applications. This research aimed to design the user interface and user experience of electronic nursing documentation, named "The ENC". The ENC (electronic nursing care) with a design thinking approach. Designing the user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) used a design thinking approach consisting of empathize, define, ideate, prototype and test. Data collection was carried out at the empathize stage using content questionnaires and interviews. UI/UX design using the Figma application. Application testing with nursing student users based on predetermined scenarios. The ENC (electronic nursing care) application design uses the design thinking method to produce an application prototype that adapts to the needs of nursing students. To validate the efficacy of The ENC application, testing was conducted with nursing student users through predetermined scenarios. The design thinking approach facilitated the creation of an application prototype attuned to the specific requirements of nursing students. Following this, a comprehensive survey involving 30 nursing students was conducted to assess usability, quality, and satisfaction with the application's UI/UX, thereby capturing both positive and negative feedback. The ENC application adapts to the needs of nursing students to ease the transition from paper-based to electronic-based documentation, increase acceptance of the application, and increase its use in the clinical environment.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Early detection of heart attack risk is essential to prevent high morbidity and mortality rates. An Android-based Heart Screening Application is proposed to help patients understand and manage their risk, reducing heart attack incidents through accessible and user-friendly technology. This study aims to develop and evaluate a heart disease screening application that allows users to independently assess their heart disease risk. The application was developed using the Waterfall methodology, including analysis, design, implementation, and testing. Testing utilized a mixed-methods embedded approach, with quantitative data gathered from surveys of 75 respondents to evaluate usability, quality, and user satisfaction, and qualitative data collected through interviews to explore user experiences and perceptions. A heart screening application was created featuring a heart disease risk test and recommendations based on test results. Quantitative findings showed 98% of respondents were satisfied with the app’s design and system, 97% found it helpful for heart disease risk detection, and 91% reported it encouraged healthier lifestyle changes. However, 86% expressed concerns regarding personal data security. Qualitative data supported these results, with respondents noting ease of use and access flexibility as major advantages, though concerns about potential data breaches highlight an area needing improvement. The application successfully raised public awareness and capability in detecting and monitoring heart disease risk, though enhanced data security is needed to improve user trust in the future. Keywords: Screening Application, Heart Disease, Mixed-Methods, User Satisfaction, Waterfall   ABSTRAK Deteksi dini risiko serangan jantung diperlukan untuk mencegah morbiditas dan mortalitas tinggi. Aplikasi Skrining Jantung berbasis Android diusulkan untuk membantu pasien memahami dan mengelola risiko serta mengurangi kejadian serangan melalui teknologi yang mudah diakses dan digunakan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan mengevaluasi aplikasi skrining penyakit jantung yang memungkinkan masyarakat melakukan pengecekan risiko penyakit jantung secara mandiri. Pengembangan aplikasi skrining jantung menggunakan metode Waterfall, terdiri dari analisis, desain, implementasi dan pengujian. Untuk pengujian aplikasi tersebut menggunakan desain mixed-methods dengan pendekatan embedded mencakup pendekatan kuantitatif melalui survei terhadap 75 responden untuk mengevaluasi kegunaan, kualitas, dan kepuasan pengguna, serta pendekatan kualitatif melalui wawancara untuk menggali pengalaman dan persepsi pengguna. Terbentuk aplikasi skrining jantung dengan fitur utama yaitu tes risiko penyakit jantung dan rekomendasi dari hasil tes. Hasil kuantitatif menunjukkan bahwa 98% responden merasa puas dengan desain dan sistem aplikasi, 97% menyatakan aplikasi membantu dalam mendeteksi risiko penyakit jantung, dan 91% melaporkan aplikasi mendorong perubahan gaya hidup lebih sehat. Namun, 86% responden mengungkapkan kekhawatiran terhadap keamanan data pribadi. Data kualitatif mendukung hasil kuantitatif, di mana responden menyatakan kemudahan penggunaan dan fleksibilitas akses sebagai keunggulan utama aplikasi. Namun, kekhawatiran terhadap potensi kebocoran data menjadi isu yang memerlukan perhatian lebih lanjut.Aplikasi ini berhasil meningkatkan kesadaran dan kemampuan masyarakat dalam mendeteksi dan memantau risiko penyakit jantung, meskipun diperlukan peningkatan pada aspek keamanan data untuk meningkatkan kepercayaan pengguna di masa depan. Kata Kunci: Aplikasi Skrining, Penyakit Jantung, Mixed-Method, Kepuasan Pengguna, Waterfall

Abstract

ABSTRACT The ENC application was developed as an Android-based electronic nursing care documentation platform to support clinical learning for nursing students. Manual approaches to nursing care documentation often encounter challenges such as inefficiency, impracticality, and a higher potential for recording errors. This study aims to evaluate the practicality and reliability of the ENC application in facilitating nursing care documentation. This study employed a quantitative approach with a descriptive-evaluative design to assess the practicality and reliability of the ENC application. The research sample consisted of 50 second- and third-year students from the D3 Nursing Program at Politeknik Negeri Subang who were undergoing clinical practice. Data were collected through practicality and reliability questionnaires as well as direct observation. Quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive statistics.The ENC application demonstrated a high level of practicality, as indicated by ease of use (4.6), time efficiency (4.2), relevance to clinical needs (4.4), and user satisfaction (4.5). In terms of reliability, the application was found to be stable (4.3), consistent in functionality (4.5), responsive (4.4), and secure in data protection (4.1). Observations further indicated that the application significantly facilitated documentation processes and supported clinical learning. The ENC application proved to be practical and reliable, simplifying nursing care documentation efficiently and addressing the challenges of manual processes. Further development is recommended to include additional features and improve the application's performance in offline mode. Keywords: Electronic Application, Nursing Care, Practicality, Reliability, Nursing Technology.  ABSTRAK Aplikasi The ENC dikembangkan sebagai dokumentasi asuhan keperawatan elektronik berbasis Android untuk mendukung proses pembelajaran klinik mahasiswa keperawatan. Pendekatan manual dalam dokumentasi asuhan keperawatan sering kali menghadapi kendala seperti ketidakpraktisan, efisiensi waktu yang rendah, dan potensi kesalahan pencatatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi kepraktisan dan reliabilitas (keandalan) aplikasi The ENC dalam menyusun asuhan keperawatan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain deskriptif evaluatif untuk mengevaluasi kepraktisan dan reliabilitas aplikasi The ENC. Sampel penelitian melibatkan 50 mahasiswa tingkat 2 dan 3 Program Studi D3 Keperawatan Politeknik Negeri Subang yang sedang menjalani praktik klinik. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner kepraktisan dan keandalan, observasi langsung. Data kuantitatif dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif. Aplikasi The ENC memiliki tingkat kepraktisan yang tinggi berdasarkan indikator kemudahan penggunaan (4,6), efisiensi waktu (4,2), relevansi dengan kebutuhan klinik (4,4), dan tingkat kepuasan pengguna (4,5). Dari sisi reliabilitas, aplikasi terbukti stabil (4,3), konsisten dalam fungsi (4,5), responsif (4,4), dan mampu menjaga keamanan data pengguna (4,1). Hasil observasi menyatakan aplikasi ini membantu mempercepat proses dokumentasi dan memudahkan pembelajaran klinik. Aplikasi The ENC terbukti praktis dan andal, mempermudah dokumentasi asuhan keperawatan secara efisien, mengatasi kendala manual. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan pengembangan lebih lanjut untuk menambahkan fitur tambahan dan meningkatkan performa aplikasi dalam offline mode. Kata Kunci: Aplikasi Elektronik, Asuhan Keperawatan, Kepraktisan, Keandalan, Teknologi Keperawatan.

Abstract

Peningkatan tren digitalisasi di rumah sakit saat ini menunjukkan bahwa perlunya pendidikan keperawatan mengadopsi penggunaan asuhan keperawatan elektronik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi data dan untuk mengetahui persepsi mahasiswa terhadap sistem asuhan keperawatan elektronik dalam pendidikan perawat. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian mixed method dengan pendekatan embedded design. Purposive sampling digunakan untuk merekrut 62 partisipan (perawat, dosen dan mahasiswa keperawatan). Survei digunakan untuk pengumpulan data kuantitatif, Data kualitatif diambil dari wawancara kepada 14 mahasiswa yang ditranskrip kata demi kata untuk dianalisis. Hasil penelitian 96,8% responden setuju penerapan asuhan keperawatan elektronik dan 100% siap menggunakannya. 27 diganosis dan 30 intervensi yang sering digunakan mahasiswa maupun perawat dalam pelayanan. Temuan kualitatif, dua tema yaitu hambatan pengelolaan asuhan keperawatan berbasis kertas dan kebutuhan dan kesiapan menggunakan asuhan keperawatan elektronik.
