Abstract

Infrastructure Alongside the digital technology transformation in education, the demand for more interactive and efficient learning evaluation has driven the adoption of digital assessment and evaluation platforms. This seminar aims to enhance the understanding of MTS Islamiyah Wongsorejo students in optimizing the use of Microsoft Forms in digital learning and evaluation processes. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative, encompassing seminars, simulations, and intensive mentoring, supported by pre-test and post-test as assessment instruments. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, documentation, and practical test results. A significant improvement was observed in students' skills in operating Microsoft Forms, reflected in the increase of the average pre-test score of 63.5 to 86.8 on the post-test, equivalent to an improvement of 38.4%. Students were able to utilize the available features as well as instant feedback. This was further supported by intensive mentoring, which proved effective in identifying arising obstacles and building students' confidence in using technology. Therefore, a more adaptive and evaluative learning experience can be obtained by students through the use of Microsoft Forms as a learning medium. To support the transformation of technology-based learning, its implementation needs to be continuously developed to complement conventional learning.

Abstract

Digital literacy and visual communication skills have become essential competencies in the 21st century. However, preliminary observations at SMP Negeri 1 Arjasa Sumenep indicated that students' competencies in designing visual communication media, particularly posters and pamphlets, remained low. This research aims to improve students' graphic design competencies through the implementation of CorelDraw software-based learning. The research method used was Classroom Action Research (CAR), consisting of two cycles that involved planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subjects of the research were eighth-grade students. Data collection instruments included practical design tests and observation sheets. The results showed an increase in the average score of design practicals from 58 in the pre-cycle stage to 74 in Cycle I , and increasing to 87 in Cycle II. In conclusion, structured learning using CorelDraw has proven to significantly improve the psychomotor skills and visual creativity of students at SMP Negeri 1 Arjasa Sumenep.

Abstract

The seminar on introducing the Al-Qur'an application in education plays a crucial role in improving students' understanding of the Quran at SMPN 1 Jangkar. The Al-Qur'an application is a digital learning medium that can help students recognize the hijaiyah letters, tajweed, and pronounce the Quran more accurately. The seminar involved delivering material and practicing the application directly, enabling students to understand the available features and use them independently. The data collection instrument used a closed-ended questionnaire to assess students' responses to the seminar and the use of the Al-Qur'an application. The results showed an increase in students' understanding of the Quran and a positive response to the application's use as a learning medium. This activity also encourages the use of digital technology in Quran learning in schools.

Abstract

Digital work readiness is a practical competency that students need to complete academic and administrative tasks in technology-based environments. This community service program aimed to strengthen students' digital work readiness through structured Microsoft Word training at MAS Raudlatul Ulum Ledokombo Jember. The activity employed a participatory, hands-on training approach conducted over two sessions on April 7–8, 2025, each lasting two hours. The participants were 15 students in grades XI and XII, comprising 8 females and 7 males. Data were collected through observation, practical assignments, documentation, and a four-point evaluation rubric. The findings showed that all evaluated aspects reached the very high category, with digital self-confidence obtaining the highest mean score of 3.63. Students were able to format documents, prepare formal letters, insert tables and images, and complete basic administrative documents more independently. Collaborative learning also helped overcome the limitation of available computer facilities. In conclusion, structured, practice-based Microsoft Word training can effectively improve technical skills, self-confidence, and digital work-readiness among madrasa students. Abstrak: Kesiapan kerja digital adalah kompetensi praktis yang dibutuhkan siswa untuk menyelesaikan tugas-tugas akademik dan administratif dalam lingkungan berbasis teknologi. Tujuan Pengabdian: Program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memperkuat kesiapan kerja digital siswa melalui pelatihan Microsoft Word yang terstruktur di MAS Raudlatul Ulum Ledokombo, Jember. Kegiatan ini menggunakan pelatihan partisipatif berbasis praktik langsung yang dilaksanakan pada tanggal 7-8 April 2025 dalam dua kali pertemuan, dengan masing-masing pertemuan berdurasi dua jam. Peserta terdiri dari 15 siswa kelas XI dan XII, yang terdiri dari delapan siswi perempuan dan tujuh siswa laki-laki. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, penugasan praktik, dokumentasi, dan rubrik evaluasi berskala empat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa semua aspek yang dievaluasi mencapai kategori sangat tinggi, dengan kepercayaan diri digital memperoleh nilai rata-rata tertinggi sebesar 3,63. Siswa mampu memformat dokumen, menyiapkan surat resmi, menyisipkan tabel dan gambar, serta menyelesaikan dokumen administratif dasar secara lebih mandiri. Pembelajaran kolaboratif membantu mengatasi keterbatasan fasilitas komputer. Pelatihan Microsoft Word yang terstruktur dan berbasis praktik dapat meningkatkan keterampilan teknis, kepercayaan diri, serta kesiapan digital di kalangan siswa madrasah. Abstract

Keterampilan administrasi surat menyurat merupakan kompetensi penting bagi pengurus OSIM dalam mendukung tata kelola organisasi yang profesional. Namun, masih ditemukan kendala dalam pemahaman format surat resmi dan pemanfaatan Microsoft Word secara optimal. Kegiatan ini bertujuan meningkatkan keterampilan administrasi surat menyurat pengurus OSIM di MTsN 4 Jembrana melalui pelatihan berbasis praktik. Kegiatan menggunakan pendekatan tindakan (action research) dengan melibatkan 32 pengurus OSIM melalui tahapan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, penilaian praktik (pre-test dan post-test), serta dokumentasi. Hasil menunjukkan adanya peningkatan keterampilan secara signifikan. Peserta mampu menyusun surat resmi dengan format yang lebih rapi, sistematis, dan sesuai standar tata naskah, serta memanfaatkan fitur Microsoft Word secara lebih efektif. Pelatihan ini juga meningkatkan sikap teliti dan profesional dalam pengelolaan administrasi organisasi.

Abstract

The mathematics learning process at the elementary school level still faces many challenges, particularly the lack of enthusiasm for learning and the obstacles experienced by students in understanding abstract mathematical concepts. Bustanul Huda Elementary School, Surabaya, is one of the elementary schools facing these challenges, where some students face challenges in working on math problems independently. This activity aims to introduce and provide training on the use of the Photomath application. Photomath as a learning aid for students at Bustanul Huda Elementary School, Surabaya. The implementation method uses a participatory and demonstrative approach consisting of preparation, implementation, and evaluation stages. The preparation stage is carried out through an initial survey, coordination with the school, and the preparation of seminar materials and training modules. The implementation stage includes a seminar on introducing mathematics learning technology, a workshop on using the Photomath application, and guided independent practice with the assistance of a community service team. The evaluation stage is carried out through a participant satisfaction questionnaire and observations during the activity. This activity was attended by 20 fifth and sixth grade students at Bustanul Huda Elementary School, Surabaya. The results of the activity stated that the use of the Photomath application has a positive influence on the mathematics learning process. 87% of participants stated that the Photomath app helped them understand how to solve math problems, 79% felt their motivation to learn increased, and 91% stated they would continue using the app as a tool in their math learning. Thus, the Photomath app can be used as a supporting learning tool that helps students understand mathematical ideas in a more visual, interactive, and independent way.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has changed the interaction and learning patterns of elementary school students in using computers and the internet. This community service activity aims to strengthen the digital literacy of Tabanan Islamic Elementary School students through a seminar on computer security and ethics. This activity provides a great opportunity for Tabanan Islamic Elementary School students to instill an understanding of computer security and ethics. The method used is through several stages, namely planning with the school, conducting an interactive seminar using presentation methods, questions and answers, and simulations of safe internet use, data collection through questionnaires, and activity evaluation. The material presented includes maintaining security and ethics on social media in healthy and responsible computer use. Thus, the seminar on computer security and ethics has been proven to provide benefits in the form of safe and responsible technology use behavior.

Abstract

With the rapid development of digital technology, understanding media literacy, especially in creating educational visual content, is very important. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the CapCut platform as a learning tool to enhance creative skills in video making. The research methods used include theory explanation, device demonstration, intensive guidance, and end-product-based evaluation. The research was conducted at Rayon IKSASS Sumatera Putri. The target of the study were members who had technical issues using CapCut software and had not yet optimised their laptop use for making professional videos with CapCut. The results show that participants' practical skills and innovation increase significantly when they create and develop innovative video content. This study reinforces the conclusion that the CapCut platform is highly relevant as an adaptable and useful learning media.

Abstract

The ability to operate Microsoft Word to manage documents is an essential component of digital literacy that students must possess to support academic activities. However, a number of female students at Ibrahimy 3 Junior High School, Sukorejo, still face obstacles when applying basic word processing functions, including page configuration, text arrangement, heading utilization, automatic table of contents creation, and table creation. The Microsoft Word training attended by 30 eighth-grade female students of Ibrahimy 3 Junior High School, Sukorejo, aimed to improve students' document processing skills. This community service activity used a qualitative descriptive method divided into three stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The main focus of the research was to describe the process and achievements of the training. The training integrated three main methods: lectures, live demonstrations, and guided practice. The material presented included margin settings, font and paragraph formatting, heading creation, automatic table of contents, page numbering, and table insertion. The participants' ability to produce neat documents significantly improved after participating in this activity. Previously, participants were only able to type plain text, but now the students are able to compose well-structured and formatted documents. Practical and guided training has proven effective in strengthening the digital document processing skills of junior high school students based on this activity.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of PowerPoint-based presentations on students' learning motivation at MA Nurul Khoiroh Pekarangan Kelir Kalipuro Banyuwangi. The background of this research is based on the low learning motivation of students, characterized by a lack of active participation, minimal attention to the subject matter, and low initiative in asking questions or engaging in discussions during the learning process. This study employed a qualitative and quantitative approach, with data collection instruments in the form of learning motivation questionnaires administered to 16 female students as respondents. Data were analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysis and descriptive statistical techniques. The results showed a significant increase in students' learning motivation after the implementation of PowerPoint-based learning, with the average score rising from 58.8 in the pre-test to 78.6 in the post-test. All students experienced a shift in motivation category from moderate to high. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of PowerPoint-based presentations has a positive and significant effect on students learning motivation at MA Nurul Khoiroh Pekarangan Kelir Kalipuro Banyuwangi.
