Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji representasi identitas sosial melalui gaya busana tokoh utama dalam serial Emily in Paris musim pertama dengan menggunakan pendekatan semiotika Roland Barthes. Gaya busana tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai elemen estetika, tetapi juga sebagai sistem tanda yang menyampaikan makna pada tiga level: denotasi, konotasi, dan mitos. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa busana Emily Cooper menjadi sarana komunikasi visual yang menggambarkan pergulatan antara identitas personal dan struktur sosial budaya yang baru ia masuki. Gaya busananya mencerminkan ketegangan antara nilai-nilai budaya Amerika yang ekspresif dan individualistis dengan budaya Prancis yang simbolik dan eksklusif. Sepanjang narasi, terjadi transformasi identitas sosial Emily melalui proses negosiasi, adaptasi, dan internalisasi norma-norma lokal. Gaya busana menjadi alat artikulasi identitas yang bersifat dinamis, reflektif, dan transformatif. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa busana merupakan medium penting dalam mengonstruksi, menyampaikan, dan mengafirmasi posisi sosial individu dalam jaringan relasi budaya yang kompleks. Abstract

This study discusses the transition of traditional to digital media in local media in Bengkulu, which faces significant challenges such as limited human resources, technological infrastructure, and changes in audience consumption behavior. The purpose of this study is to analyze the adaptation strategies of local media in the face of digitalization and its impact on business models and audience engagement. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data was collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and documentation from four main local media: BE TV, RB Koran, Tribunnews Bengkulu, and Radio Jazirah. The data analysis technique used is thematic analysis according to Braun and Clarke. The results show that the media transition takes place in five stages: introduction, adaptation, development, integration and innovation, and evaluation and adjustment. Local media are starting to integrate various digital platforms to increase reach and interaction with audiences. However, challenges related to mastering technology and financing are still the main obstacles. This research confirms that the success of local media transformation depends on content innovation, strengthening human resource capacity, and the ability to manage sustainable digital business models.

Abstract

Dalam budaya patriarki laki-laki merupakan pemegang kekuasaan utama sekaligus mendominasi peran kepemimpinanan dan menempatkan perempuan sebagai pihak nomor dua atau subordinat. Studi ini bertujuan untuk mempresentasikan budaya patriarki yang digambarkan dalam film "Gadis Kretek" menggunakan pendekatan penelitian deskriptif. Teori yang digunakan pada penenlitian merupakan model semiotika Roland Barthes melalui denotasi, konotasi, dan mitos. Dalam semiotika Roland Barthes tahapan awal penanda dan petanda yang dianalisis akan menghasilkan denotasi. Pada tahapan kedua penanda dan petanda yang dianalisis akan menghasilakan konotasi. Dari konotasi inilah yang akan menghasilkan mitos.Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan pada film “Gadis Kretek" diperoleh hasil yang menunjukkan bahwa : 1.) Pekerja perempuan dalam film Gadis Kretek hanya boleh melakukan pekerjaan yang cocok untuk perempuan salah satunya melinting kretek. 2.) Dasiyah sebagai tokoh utama dipandang sebelah mata oleh Pak Budi mengenai pengetahuan tentang rokok kretek. 3.) Perempuan dalam film Gadis Kretek tidak diperbolehkan membuat saus kretek karena pada masa itu peracik saus kretek adalah laki-laki. Jika perempuan yang melakukannya saus kretek akan menjadi asam dan baunya tidak enak. 4.) Perempuan tidak boleh ikut campur terkait pekerjaan laki-laki walaupun mereka paham karena tugas perempuan itu hanya bersih-bersih rumah dan mencari suami Kata Kunci : Semiotika Roland Barthes ,Representasi,Budaya Patriarki, Gadis Kretek

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji peran algoritma media sosial dalam membentuk filter bubble dan echo chamber di kalangan generasi milenial dan Gen Z di Kota Bengkulu. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan campuran (mixed methods), penelitian ini menggabungkan survei kuantitatif, analisis jaringan sosial, serta wawancara mendalam untuk memperoleh gambaran menyeluruh mengenai bagaimana algoritma media sosial memengaruhi pola konsumsi informasi dan interaksi sosial pengguna. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa algoritma berperan penting dalam menyajikan konten yang sesuai dengan preferensi pengguna, sehingga memperkuat bias konfirmasi, membatasi keragaman informasi, dan mendorong terbentuknya lingkungan digital yang homogen. Fenomena ini tidak hanya membentuk pola pikir yang tertutup terhadap perspektif lain, tetapi juga berpotensi memperburuk polarisasi sosial dan sikap intoleran di masyarakat. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan peningkatan literasi digital serta pengembangan algoritma yang lebih inklusif untuk menciptakan ekosistem informasi yang lebih sehat dan terbuka Kata Kunci: Algoritma media sosial, filter bubble, echo chamber, milenial, Gen Z

Abstract

Film dianggap sebagai bahasa yang menciptakan makna melalui sistem, yaitu bioskop, suara, penerbitan, dan lain-lain. Penelitian ini dirancang dengan metode kualitatif dengan analisis semiotika, untuk memperoleh makna dari tanda dan simbol yang terdapat dalam film. Representasi menurut Stuart Hall adalah proses di mana makna diciptakan dan dipertukarkan antara anggota kelompok suatu budaya dengan menggunakan Bahasa. Penelitian ini menggunakan data berupa cuplikan adegan dan dialog dari film the pursuit of happyness yang mengandung unsur nilai-nilai keteguhan. Keseluruhan data yang ada dianalisis menggunakan teori semiotika Roland Barthes dengan menguraikan pemaknaan konotasi, denotasi dan mitos. Hasil yang didapat yaitu representasi nilai-nilai keteguhan yang diangkat dalam film The Pursuit of Happyness ini mencerminkan strategi kolektif masyarakat kulit hitam Amerika dalam menuntut hak-hak sipil melalui cara-cara non-kekerasan yang terstruktur dan simbolik. Disimpulkan bahwa film The Pursuit of Happyness ini merepresentasikan berbagai nilai keteguhan seperti konsistensi, kegigihan, keberanian, ketekunan, hingga keyakinan.

Abstract

Objective: This research aims to assess the potential of sentiment analysis based on social media data in predicting market trends and consumer behaviour, as well as evaluate the effectiveness of this approach in supporting business decision-making. Method: Leveraging big data generated in real-time by social media users, this research applies machine learning and Natural Language Processing (NLP)-based approaches to process, analyse, and extract insights from consumer opinions. The research methodology includes collecting data from social media platforms using product- or industry-specific keywords, preprocessing text data, and applying sentiment analysis algorithms. Machine learning models, such as Random Forest and SVM (Support Vector Machine), and lexicon-based approaches, such as VADER (Valence Aware Dictionary and sEntiment Reasoner), were used to measure consumer sentiment. Results: The results show that social media sentiment analysis is effective in identifying public opinion patterns and changes in market trends. The model used is able to provide high accuracy in predicting consumer preferences and helps companies understand market needs more deeply. Novelty: This research confirms that sentiment analysis is a relevant solution to support data-driven decision-making in the digital era, with great potential to be applied in various industry sectors.

Abstract

Objective: Nowadays, people view TikTok not just as an entertainment medium, but as a key platform driving the growth of S-Commerce. Through TikTok, people can easily market, promote, and buy goods. TikTok has also become a very promising platform for business and marketing by business actors. Method: This study uses a qualitative approach with literature review analysis, utilizing secondary data from articles, books, journals, and research reports. Researchers analyze TikTok’s role in S-Commerce by observing interactions related to marketing, purchases, promotions, and user-generated references, structuring findings into a systematic framework. Results: S-Commerce through the TikTok platform shows a form of digital marketing transformation where there is a change in the form of marketing which is not only centered on sellers in marketing and promoting products through buying and selling platforms but collaborates with users. Novelty: TikTok enables social media and e-commerce activities to be combined in one platform with the efficiency and convenience it offers.

Abstract

Batik waste is waste produced from batik producing activities which can have a negative impact. In general, the process of making batik will channel wastewater into the surrounding air which causes various pollution, including color changes, increased pH, COD, BOD, TSS, odors, changes in the taste of the air, soil and ground air pollution, and the influence of chemicals on the bodies of plants, animals and humans. Craft perceptions relate to batik waste management, including knowledge, awareness and economic limitations. The research method approach applied is to use a quantitative descriptive approach. The research location is in the center of the small and medium batik industry (IKM) in Bojonegoro Regency. There are 10 batik SMEs as a complete sample of the population. The method used to measure craftsmen's perceptions is the Likert Scale. As many as 100% of the community felt the benefits in the form of a source of income, opening up employment opportunities, preserving local culture and so on. The level of public perception regarding the benefits of batik wastewater management was obtained: 80% agreed that wastewater management could reduce surface air, soil, groundwater and air pollution, 70% could expand the product market, and 100% strongly agreed that it could reduce the cost of purchasing candles. The community agrees that managing IPAL requires expensive investment and maintenance costs, as well as skilled human resources. Changes in air color, odor and causing cancer, decreased DO, air surface quality, ground water and soil are also threats if batik wastewater is not managed. The community quite agrees that there will be a decrease in soil fertility, and the killing of air and soil organisms can occur if wastewater pollution occurs. The level of public perception reaches 100%, the need to carry out socialization and training for IPAL operators and inadequate human resources are challenges in managing batik waste. Another aspect to consider is inadequate economic conditions and low awareness of craftsmen.
