Abstract

Islamic boarding schools should take advantage of the potential of social media as a means or medium of da'wah to the community. In today's information age, da'wah is not only limited to lecturing on the pulpit. In the present era, the pulpit is in your hands. Today's modern society requires virtual religious instructions. In addition, to save the public from irresponsible, hoax, hateful, and other negative information, Islamic boarding schools are at the forefront. In this context, the role of Islamic boarding schools to spread their da'wah in virtual space is highly expected by the community. This community service activity (PKM) seeks to solve problems with partners, namely Miftahul Huda Islamic Boarding School in Pesawahan Village, Rawalo District, Banyumas Regency, in order to strengthen the position and potential of Islamic boarding schools in the virtual world by producing interesting, useful and positive content. as a means of da'wah in the digital era to the public. The purpose of this activity is to develop the skills of students as content creators in creating interesting and useful content as a medium of da'wah in the digital era.

Abstract

Permasalahan prioritas mitra, yaitu: kurang menguasai keterampilan berbahasa secara menyeluruh khususnya keterampilan berbicara dalam classroom language sebagai bahasa kelas; minat dan motivasi mitra untuk belajar bahasa Inggris sebagai bahasa Internasional masih rendah; kurang menguasai kosakata, tata bahasa, dan budaya bahasa Inggris; belum adanya pembiasaan interaksi bilingual dengan penggunaan bahasa pendamping pengajaran (classroom language); dan belum adanya pelatihan classroom language bagi para guru non bahasa Inggris. Tujuan pengabdian adalah meningkatkan minat, pengetahuan, motivasi, dan keterampilan para guru non bahasa Inggris SMA Islam Ta’Allumul Huda Bumiayu dalam proses kegiatan belajar mengajar di kelas menggunakan bahasa Inggris. Metode pengabdian terdiri dari 4 tahapan yaitu: persiapan, pelaksanaan (dengan memberikan pelatihan dengan menggunakan drilling dan simulasi peer-teaching), monitoring dan evaluasi, dan keberkelanjutan. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh 27 guru non bahasa Inggris SMA Islam TH Bumiayu, untuk mengukur peningkatan keterampilan dilakukan dengan melakukan wawancara setelah kegiatan. Hasil pelaksanaan menunjukkan peningkatan minat, pengetahuan, motivasi, dan keterampilan  para guru non bahasa Inggris SMA Islam Ta’Allumul Huda Bumiayu dalam proses kegiatan belajar mengajar di kelas menggunakan bahasa Inggris. Dan adanya peningkatan keterampilan berbahasa Inggris mitra pengabdian (para guru non bahasa Inggris SMA Islam Ta’Allumul Huda Bumiayu) dalam menggunakan bahasa bilingual sebagai bahasa pendamping pengajaran (classroom language).

Abstract

This community service program is titled Improving Students' Skills in Managing Digital Media at Pondok Pesantren Miftahul Huda Rawalo Banyumas. The program aims to equip students with basic digital media management skills as a means of modern da'wah. Using the Participatory Action and Learning System (PALS) method, which fundamentally involves partners in active learning participation within the program, the focus is on the application of science and technology through digital media management skills at the pesantren. This program actively engaged students in activities such as socialization, training, and mentoring. The program began with an introduction to the importance of digital media as a medium for da'wah, followed by technical training on managing the pesantren's social media platforms. Based on the results of assessments conducted through pre-tests and post-tests, there was a 25% increase in students' awareness of the potential of da'wah through digital platforms. The activities culminated in the establishment of the pesantren's media platform. The sustainability of this community service program is realized through the formation and management of the pesantren's digital media, named "Mida Center." Mida Center is designed as a platform for students to continue developing the skills they acquired during the training in managing the pesantren's digital media.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to determine the feasibility of using a learning media containing local wisdom for drama appreciation material for students of the Indonesian Language Education Study Program. The development of the web-based learning medium uses the ADDIE development model. The implementation of this research is limited to the Development stage. Based on the assessment by three validators, the average score obtained was 79%. This indicates that the learning medium, which incorporates local wisdom in drama appreciation materials, is considered feasible for use. This is based on the assessments from three validators: a content validator (71%), a media validator (75%), and a language validator (92%).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis nilai perjuangan tokoh utama dalam novel Namaku Alam karya Leila S. Chudori serta relevansinya sebagai bahan ajar di MA Ma’arif NU Paguyangan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini yaitu novel Namaku Alam karya Leila S. Chudori yang diterbitkan pada tahun 2023. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik baca, catat, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisis data menurut Miles dan Huberman yang meliputi pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ditemukan nilai perjuangan yang ditunjukkan oleh tokoh utama Alam yang meliputi berjiwa Pancasila, berjiwa patriot, berjiwa satria, berlandaskan pada kondisi nyata dan tantangan bangsa, memuat nilai bagi orang lain bukan hanya untuk kepentingan diri sendiri,serta mempertimbangkan masa lalu, masa kini, dan masa depan. Kajian nilai perjuangan tokoh utama dalam novel Namaku Alam karya Leila S. Chudori relevan dijadikan sebagai bahan ajar Bahasa Indonesia di MA Ma’arif NU Paguyangan, khususnya dalam mendukung pencapaian Kompetensi Dasar (KD) 3.8 dan 3.9. Dengan mempelajari nilai perjuangan, siswa tidak hanya memahami isi dan pesan novel secara mendalam, tetapi juga dapat menginternalisasi nilai-nilai positif yang terdapat di dalamnya.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the social values contained in the short story Sore Ketika Angin Laut Utara Memanggil by Annisa Moezha using a literary sociology approach. The short story portrays various aspects of the social life of coastal communities through its main character, Muzayyin. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques consisting of reading and note-taking. The findings show that the short story contains three main categories of social values according to Zubaedi: (1) compassion, (2) responsibility, and (3) harmony in life. Muzayyin is depicted as a figure who strongly upholds these values, although in the end, he succumbs to social and economic pressures. This short story not only conveys the social realities of village life but also reflects a shift in values due to changing times. The findings affirm the important role of literature as a medium for social criticism and a preserver of humanitarian values.
