Abstract

Bouquet snacks or a bouquet of flowers can be one of the alternative gifts that can be given to people in a graduation celebration ceremony. Giving a snack bouquet at a graduation ceremony can be interpreted as an expression of love and appreciation to graduates who have worked hard to complete their education. The cost of raw materials for the snack bouquet is cheap, affordable and the raw materials are easily available, which can be one of the reasons and possible business opportunities to be utilized by SMK students. This is one of the reasons for carrying out this activity. This activity involved partners from SMK Tanjung Priok 1 North Jakarta. Training in making bouquets or bouquets made from snack raw materials is an activity carried out in this service. While the approach method used in this activity is Community Development Practice combined with the Peer Assisted Learning method. This activity went well and based on the evaluation results it can be declared successful.

Abstract

This study aims to map benthic habitats in the coastal area of Nongsa, Batam, using Sentinel-2A satellite imagery processed using the Random Forest (RF) algorithm on the Google Earth Engine (GEE) platform. The study area includes Teluk Mata Ikan, Tanjung Bemban, and Batu Besar, Nongsa District, Batam City, Kepulauan Riau Province. Field data were obtained through snorkeling surveys and underwater photo documentation in 16-18 August 2024. The four main habitat classes that were successfully identified include coral, sand, seagrass, and rubble (dead coral fragments). The classification results show the dominance of non-living substrates in the form of sand and rubble in most of the study area, while seagrass and coral are distributed in a limited area. Validation of the classification results produced an Overall Accuracy value of 89.90%, indicating a very good level of classification accuracy and suitability. The combination of Sentinel-2A imagery, RF algorithm, and GEE has proven to be effective, efficient, and replicable for mapping tropical benthic habitats spatially and periodically as a basis for sustainable coastal area management.

Abstract

Pelatihan ini dirancang untuk pelaku Usaha Mikro, Kecil dan Menengah (UMKM) yang bergabung dalam Persatuan Keluarga Sulit Air (Perkasa). Sudah menjadi fenomena umum di Indonesia khususnya bahwa  jumlah UMKM yang sangat besar, namun sebagain besar UMKM sulit berkembang. Kesulitan untuk berkembang ini diyakni terjadi antara lain karena ketidak mampuan mereka dalam memahami dengan baik tiga materi dasar dalam bisnis, yakni Akuntansi, Perpajakan dan Strategi Bisnis. Pelatihan ini diyakini merupakan salah satu metode yang diharapkan dapat menjadi media agar mereka berkembang dengan baik di masa yang akan datang. Pelatihan ini dilakukan selama satu hari penuh dari pagi pukul 08.00 – 16.00, diikuti oleh 17 pengelola UMKM dengan berbagai bidang usaha, seperti kuliner atau masakan, fashion, online shop health and beauty dan sembako. Harus diakui bahwa waktu pelatihan yang sehari adalah terlalu pendek, tetapi berdasarkan umpan balik yang berhasil dikumpulkan, peserta umumnya puas, karena mendapatkan sesuatu yang selama ini belum mereka kenal dengan baik. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa sesungguhnya mereka punya semangat belajar untuk menuntut ilmu dan meningkatkan ketrampilan usaha. Diantara implikasi yang apat dicatat adalah bahwa mereka sangat berharap agar pelatihan seperti ini dapat dilanjutkan ditingkatkan di masa yang akan datang.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effects of the Debt-to-Equity Ratio (DER), Price-to-Book Value (PBV), Price-to-Earnings Ratio (PER), and Return on Assets (ROA) on stock prices. This study utilized a sample of food and beverage consumer goods industry companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the period from 2019 to 2021. The sampling technique employed in this study was purposive sampling, involving 12 companies. The method employed in this study is quantitative and utilizes secondary data. The research model employs multiple linear regression, utilizing the SPSS version 25 application. The results of this study are partial, specifically that the DER, PBV, PER, and ROA variables do not have a significant effect on stock prices. Simultaneously, all variables namely, DER, PBV, PER, and ROA do not affect stock prices. This research is expected to focus not only on the company's profit but also on its ability to generate cash, as it is only an illustration of the company's short-term performance. In addition, investors also need to pay attention to the performance of the company's organizational governance tools, so that they can obtain better corporate action information to inform their investment decisions.

Abstract

The city of Batam as a tourist destination can be supported by regional development including the Sembulang sub-district area through the making of RT and RW area maps in Sembulang Sub-District/Village. This large-scale RT and RW map has a role as an official document that records administrative boundaries. Other spatial information in this map will later be needed in the development of the Kelurahan/Village to prepare spatial plans and inventory of village potential. In addition, these regional boundaries function to create administrative order, legal certainty so that it is expected to minimize boundary conflicts, regional fiscal calculations and identification of regional potential (Afdhalia et al., 2021; Lestari et al., 2020; Kemendagri. 2016; Budisusanto et al., 2014 ). The cartometric method can be used in determining and confirming Kelurahan/Village Boundaries in accordance with Geospatial Information Agency (BIG) regulations No.15 of 2019. So this year the community service team proposed kartometric Mapping of RT and RW Boundaries in Sembulang Village. In this service, a delineation of the RT and RW maps of Sembulang Village will be carried out. Determination of Boundaries through participatory mapping and FGD, and handing over the resulting products in the form of RT and RW Maps of Sembulang Village. The map of the boundaries of the RT RW Sembulang area was made with A3 paper size which was submitted to the Sembulang sub-district. This map contains information about the boundaries of the RT&RW areas in Sembulang Village as an information need for residents in Sembulang Village. Based on the results of these measurements, there were several changes to the rough map previously provided by the Sembulang Village, namely the expansion of one RT, which was originally 1 RT. From the results of this dedication, a map of the boundaries of the area was submitted to the Sembulang Village in print format.

Abstract

Low health literacy impacts individuals' ability to make decisions, access services, and understand medical information. Improving health literacy is a critical priority for improving the quality of life for communities, including in Bima Regency-NTB. However, health literacy studies are still limited, both in the development of measurement tools and educational media, necessitating innovations tailored to local needs. This research responds to this situation by developing the Almihjam application, a digital educational media for cupping therapy, as cupping is a popular traditional treatment in Bima. The research objective is to produce a valid, effective, and publicly accepted cupping education application, thereby improving health literacy and encouraging safe cupping practices in accordance with local medical and cultural principles. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Expert validation results showed a feasibility score of 78.5%, indicating the application is feasible. Health literacy data shows that the community has positive knowledge and attitudes toward cupping, although its practice is still limited. User response has been very high, with average ratings of satisfaction, content clarity, and feature usefulness above 95%. Thus, the Almihjam app has the potential to be an effective digital innovation for improving health literacy among the Bima community.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the impact of sales and operating expenses on net income by employing a Cobb-Douglas production function. The study uses a quantitative research design which is implemented in four steps, i.e., data description and ln transformation, quality data test, regression analysis, and hypothetical test. The research sample is in the form of time-series data for the period of January 2021-December 2022, consisting of sales, operating expense, and net profit variables collected from the financial reports of Dafin Cell Store in West Lombok Regency. Our statistics analysis confirms that the sales variable significantly affects the net profits as the value 0,005 of t test is smaller than the significance level 0,05. In contrast, the operational expenses do not affect the net profits as the value 0,836 of t test is larger than 0,05. Simultaneously, both sales and operating variables affect the net profits of Dafin Cell Store since the value of 0,004 of F test is larger than 0,05. Through regression analysis we obtain the mathematical model which expresses the relationship of sales (X1), operating expenses (X2) and the net profits (Y).

Abstract

Statistical data analysis is the process of examining, cleaning, transforming, and modeling data with the aim of discovering useful information, drawing conclusions, and supporting decision-making. This process involves various statistical techniques and methods applied to data to understand, explain, and predict phenomena. Skills like these are greatly needed by students. Therefore, training in the use of the open-source statistical application JASP is necessary to enhance the statistical data analysis capabilities of UIN Mataram students, especially those in their final semester. This community service activity aims to introduce and train the use of JASP as a free and license-free alternative for statistical data analysis, considering the limitations of accessibility and ethical issues surrounding the use of paid software like SPSS in academic environments. The training methodology includes theoretical sessions and practical application of JASP, focusing on multiple linear regression analysis and path analysis. An initial survey showed that only 25% of final-semester students were familiar with open-source applications like JASP. After the training, there was a significant increase in understanding and application of JASP, with 85% of participants showing improved competence. These results demonstrate the importance of training in open-source statistical applications to support student academic research and strengthen academic integrity within the Islamic university environment. This study provides insights into ethical and affordable statistical software alternatives and highlights the importance of analytical skills in higher education.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of differentiated learning and Direct Instruction models on student learning outcomes, viewed from the perspective of student learning interest. The research was conducted in one of the Elementary Schools in Bima Regency, West Nusa Tenggara Province, using experimental methods and a 2 x 2 by-level research design. The results of the study indicate that: (1) The learning outcomes of students who follow the differentiated learning model are higher compared to those who follow the Direct Instruction model, (2) There is an interaction between the differentiated learning and Direct Instruction models with student learning interest towards learning outcomes, (3) Students with high learning interest perform better in the differentiated learning model compared to the Direct Instruction model, and (4) Students with low learning interest perform better in the Direct Instruction model compared to the differentiated learning model

Abstract

The significant increase in infrastructure development is directly proportional to the rising accident rate in the construction sector, making it one of the highest-risk sectors for accidents. This phenomenon indicates that existing construction safety audits have not been effective in preventing accidents, largely because audits are generally conducted only at the construction stage. Audits at the design stage, however, have the potential to impact accident prevention significantly. Therefore, this research aims to develop a construction safety audit model using the Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) and analyzes the impacts on stakeholder communication and collaboration. BPMN was chosen because it provides a clear and standardized visual representation of business processes, making it easier to identify potential safety issues and improve stakeholder understanding. Statistical methods were employed to examine the relationships, resulting in a linear equation model with a strong correlation. Furthermore, audit activities conducted through three layers of stakeholders can be efficiently modeled using BPMN, positively impacting stakeholder communication and collaboration. Applying the Three Lines of Defense (TLoD) theory and BPMN provides new insights for construction safety committees and companies to plan and conduct more comprehensive safety audits. The implication of this study includes a potential reduction in construction accidents and improved work safety through more effective communication and collaboration among stakeholders.
