Abstract

Postpartum mothers are one of the targets in the family planning program because women often experience unplanned pregnancies during breastfeeding with a close gap with previous pregnancies. The purpose of the study was to determine the relationship between contraceptive use. This research method is an analytical survey research. The research method used is Analytical Observational Research, namely where the researcher only makes observations or observes the research subjects and looks for data related to the research without providing intervention on the variables to be studied. The results of the study that the Independent Variables are knowledge, age, family planning services, Husband Participation and the dependent variable is Intra Uterine Device Contraception. The results of the Chi-Square statistical test with a confidence level of ρ <α (0.05) are knowledge (ρ = 0.023), Age (ρ = 0.025), family planning services (ρ = 0.017), and husband participation (ρ = 0.043). The conclusion is that the level of knowledge, age, family planning services, and husband participation have a significant relationship with the use of contraception.

Abstract

Babies have very sensitive skin, different from adult skin, which makes babies more susceptible to infection, irritation, and allergies, and it is not uncommon for babies to experience dermatitis, one of which is commonly called diaper dermatitis. Baby diapers are tools used and created to absorb urine and hold feces, designed to keep the skin dry so that it is protected from direct contact with the baby's clothes, bed and environment. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the use of tools to maintain cleanliness and comfort of babies (baby diapers). This type of research is quantitative analytical. The population and sample of respondents were all babies aged 0-12 months who used baby diapers, totaling 64 people. The behavioral measurement method uses the scoring method and for data processing uses univariate and bivariate analysis. Data were analyzed descriptively in the form of tables and narratives. The results of the study showed that the level of maternal knowledge was good, the mother's attitude and actions were good. There was no significant relationship between maternal knowledge of skin disorders in infants (p value = 0.648), there was no significant relationship between maternal attitudes towards skin disorders in infants (p value = 0.256), but there was a significant relationship between maternal actions towards skin disorders in infants (p value = 0.045).

Abstract

Labor pain is a physiological process that can cause anxiety and stress in mothers in labor. Hypnobirthing is a relaxation method that aims to reduce fear and pain during labor. This study aims to determine the effect of hypnobirthing on the level of labor pain in mothers in the first stage of labor. The research method used was a quasi-experimental method with a pretest-posttest control group design approach. The sample consisted of 30 mothers in labor who were divided into two groups, namely the intervention group given hypnobirthing and the control group who received standard care. The instrument used was the Visual Analog Scale (VAS). The results showed that there was a significant difference in the level of pain between the intervention and control groups (p <0.05). The conclusion of this study is that hypnobirthing is effective in reducing labor pain in mothers in the first stage of labor. It is expected that hypnobirthing can be one of the non-pharmacological methods applied in midwifery care.

Abstract

Pregnancy danger signs are conditions that can threaten the safety of the mother and fetus if not recognized and treated quickly. Lack of knowledge of pregnant women regarding pregnancy danger signs is one of the causes of the high rate of pregnancy complications. This community service aims to increase the knowledge of pregnant women about pregnancy danger signs through leaflet-based education at Posyandu. The method of implementing the activity includes counseling with leaflet media and interactive discussions. The results of the activity showed an increase in the knowledge of pregnant women after education was carried out. This activity shows that leaflet media is effective in increasing the knowledge of pregnant women about pregnancy danger signs.

Abstract

One of the complications of spontaneous abortion is bleeding which if not treated quickly can increase maternal mortality rates. Vaginal bleeding is a common complaint that is often encountered and is a fairly high cause of a woman coming to the hospital, especially if it is known or suspected that there is a pregnancy. This study is a type of analytical survey, the design of this study is an observational analytical study with a cross-sectional approach. Samples were taken using a purposive sampling technique. The results of the cross-tabulation of the relationship between the age of pregnant women and the incidence of abortion obtained the results that at the age of pregnant women who are at risk, most experience abortion (92.3 % ), while the age of pregnant women who are not at risk mostly do not experience abortion (84.3%). The conclusion is that there is a fairly strong relationship between the age of pregnant women and the incidence of abortion of 0.592 (based on the Contingency Coefficient test).

Abstract

Background: Chronic Energy Deficiency (CED) in pregnant women is a major risk factor contributing to stunting in children. A local food-based supplementary feeding (PMT) program has been implemented in several stunting-prone areas as a promotive-preventive strategy to improve the nutritional status of pregnant women. Objective: To analyze the effectiveness of the local food-based PMT program in reducing the prevalence of CED among pregnant women in stunting-prone areas. Methods: This quantitative study used a quasi-experimental pre-post test design without a control group. Subjects were 60 pregnant women in their second and third trimesters in the intervention area. Data were collected through measurements of mid-upper arm circumference (MUAC), body mass index (BMI), and nutritional intake questionnaires over a 3-month period. Results: There was a significant increase in mean MUAC from 22.8 cm to 24.1 cm (p<0.05), as well as an increase in daily energy and protein intake based on a 24-hour food recall. A total of 68.3% of respondents who were initially at risk of CED experienced improvements in nutritional status after the program was implemented. Conclusion: The local food-based PMT program is effective in reducing the risk of chronic energy deficiency syndrome (CED) and improving the nutritional status of pregnant women. Recommendations include integrating PMT into routine integrated health post (Posyandu) policies and sustainable use of local food resources.
