Abstract

This study explores the trends in final thesis research among PGMI (Islamic Elementary School Teacher Education) students at UIN K.H. Abdurrahman Wahid Pekalongan and UIN Prof. K.H. Saifuddin Zuhri Purwokerto during the period of 2017-2021. The primary aim is to analyze the chosen research approaches, focuses, and fields of study. The research employed a descriptive analysis method, utilizing data from both universities. The findings indicate that qualitative approaches dominate students’ thesis research. Most studies focus on students, although many are not directly aligned with the academic fields of madrasah ibtidaiyah. When connected to these fields, common research topics include Islamic studies, mathematics, science, thematic learning, local content, extracurricular activities, Bahasa Indonesia, social studies, and civic education. The study recommends enhancing students' understanding of diverse research approaches, encouraging exploration of relevant topics in madrasah ibtidaiyah studies, and fostering stronger integration of research with scholarly fields to contribute more meaningfully to elementary education development.

Abstract

Religious moderation has become a strategic agenda in Indonesian education to strengthen social cohesion in pluralistic societies. At the primary education level, studies on religious moderation remain fragmented and require integrative synthesis. This study examines how religious moderation education is implemented in Indonesian elementary schools and Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (SD/MI) through a Systematic Literature Review retrieved from Google Scholar, Scopus, ScienceDirect, and Elicit.ai. The analysis focuses on conceptualization, pedagogical implementation, and reported challenges and impacts. The findings indicate that religious moderation education at the SD/MI level is predominantly implemented through integrative and implicit practices rather than as a standalone curricular subject. Moderation values—such as justice, tolerance, inclusivity, and social harmony—are embedded across curricula, learning materials, pedagogical strategies, and school culture, with teachers functioning as key mediators of value internalization. While moderation-oriented education contributes to more inclusive school climates and positive student attitudes toward diversity, its implementation remains uneven due to limited teacher conceptual clarity, competing academic demands, and the growing influence of digital environments. This study contributes by articulating embedded moderation pedagogy as a conceptual framework for understanding religious moderation education in early schooling. The findings provide a concise reference for advancing research, policy development, and educational practice in religious and character education within pluralistic contexts.

Abstract

Artikel ini mengkaji sejarah kebijakan pendidikan Islam di Indonesia melalui telaah historis pada tiga periode pemerintahan: Orde Lama, Orde Baru, dan Reformasi. Pendidikan Islam memegang peran penting dalam sistem pendidikan nasional dengan mayoritas masyarakat Indonesia beragama Islam. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian kepustakaan (library research) dan metode analisis isi untuk menelaah regulasi, literatur, dan dokumen terkait kebijakan pendidikan Islam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada masa Orde Lama, pendidikan Islam mulai memperoleh pengakuan formal melalui berbagai keputusan pemerintah dan undang-undang, meskipun dualisme pendidikan masih terjadi antara lembaga umum dan agama. Pada masa Orde Baru, kebijakan revitalisasi madrasah dan pesantren serta penerapan SKB Tiga Menteri dan UU No. 2 Tahun 1989 memperkuat legitimasi pendidikan Islam dalam sistem nasional, meskipun terdapat kontroversi terkait intervensi pemerintah. Pada era Reformasi, pendidikan Islam semakin diakui secara setara melalui UU No. 20 Tahun 2003, program wajib belajar, sertifikasi guru, penerapan kurikulum modern, serta peningkatan anggaran pendidikan, sehingga pendidikan Islam lebih inklusif, profesional, dan adaptif terhadap tantangan global. Implikasi dari perjalanan kebijakan ini menunjukkan integrasi pendidikan Islam yang semakin utuh dalam sistem pendidikan nasional, peningkatan profesionalisme tenaga pendidik, pemerataan akses pendidikan, modernisasi madrasah, dan penguatan identitas religius sekaligus nasionalis bagi peserta didik. Studi ini memberikan kontribusi dalam memahami dinamika historis pendidikan Islam dan menjadi acuan bagi perumusan kebijakan pendidikan yang relevan di masa depan.

Abstract

AbstractThis research was motivated by the Indonesian learning which contains very little of moral and character messages and the lack of learning resources, resulting in less interesting and unpleasant learning which lead the development of four aspects of language skills as learning objectives to be unachieved. Therefore, this research aimed to find out (1) the eligibility of interactive multimedia on Indonesian learning with Islamic insight based on the assessment of media experts and material experts, and (2) the quality of interactive multimedia on Indonesian learning with Islamic insight based on the assessment of students and teachers. This research and development are using ADDIE model. The procedures of this research include the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The subjects of this study were fourth grade students of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) Pringlangu 02 Pekalongan City. The results of this study are: (1) interactive multimedia products for Indonesian learning with Islamic insight was assessed by material experts with a score of 21.5 in the very eligible category and assessed by media experts with a score of 49.5 in the eligible category; (2) the quality of interactive multimedia for Indonesian learning with Islamic insight is very good based on the assessment of students and teachers. Thus, the use of multimedia for Indonesian learning is needed because it is a source of learning that can improve learning performance, as well as seeding the value of Islamic characters in students.Keywords: interactive multimedia, indonesian learning, Islamic values.AbstrakPenelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia yang kering dari pesan-pesan moral dan karakter serta minimnya sumber belajar yang mengakibatkan pembelajarannya kurang menarik dan tidak menyenangkan yang pada gilirannya pengembangan empat aspek keterampilan berbahasa sebagai tujuan pembelajaran tidak tercapai. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan (1) kelayakan multimedia interaktif pada pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia berwawasan nilai-nilai Islami berdasarkan penilaian ahli guru dan siswa, dan (2) kualitas multimedia interaktif pada pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia berwawasan nilai-nilai Islami berdasarkan penilaian siswa dan guru. Penelitian pengembangan ini (Research and Development) menggunakan model ADDIE. Prosedur penelitian ini meliputi: tahap analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) Pringlangu 02 Kota Pekalongan. Hasil penelitian ini adalah: (1) produk multimedia interaktif untuk pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia berwawasan nilai-nilai Islami dinilai oleh ahli materi dengan skor 21,5 berada pada kategori sangat layak dan dinilai oleh ahli media dengan skor 49,5 berada pada kategori layak; (2) kualitas multimedia interaktif untuk pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia berwawasan nilai-nilai Islami adalah sangat baik berdasarkan penilaian siswa dan guru. Dengan demikian, penggunaan multimedia pada pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia diperlukan karena menjadi sumber belajar yang mampu meningkatkan kinerja pembelajaran, sekaligus penyemai nilai-nilai karakter Islami pada siswa.Kata kunci: multimedia interaktif, pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia, nlai-nilai Islam.
