Abstract

This research is entitled "Courtiers of Surakarta Hadiningrat Palace in 2004-2014". This research aims to find out the meaning of ?Mengabdi" or ?subserve? the Courtiersof the Kasunanan Surakarta Hadiningrat Palace, especially the Courtiersof Bondet after the abolition of the Surakarta Regional Privileges under Law No. 32 of 2004. This research used the Historical method with a qualitative sociological and anthropological approach. Courtiers of the Kasunanan Surakarta Hadiningrat Palace became the main informant in this research, and integrated with a literature review that has been done before. The technique of data collection is done by literature review, observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Research steps done by heuristcs, external, internal criticism, interpretation and historiography. The results of the research show that the based on Law No. 32 of 2004 both the Surakarta court and the duties and functions of the countiers did not experience any changes and changes because meaning of "subserve" of the courtiers had a strong philosophy of life, they all strive fora total and loyaldevotion to their Sinuhun, whatever happens loyalty remains the main thing that must be upheld, here is where they taught the true meaning of life does not merely a matter of wealth, but the achievement of real inner satisfaction, even though the situation was rough, they were still grateful for it, because they hold fast to the Javanese philosophy of "Nerimo Ing Pandum", it was what they wanted to maintained and bequeathed to the next generation. Abstract

Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam tulisan ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian deskriptif kualitatif menggunakan data bersumber dari fenomena dan keadaan sebenarnya yang ada di sekolah untuk kemudian dideskriptifkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan secara lebih mendalam gambaran manajemen organisasi ekstrakurikuler yang ada di SMA Negeri 1 Indralaya. Ada banyak hal yang akan didapat seorang peserta didik ketika menempuh pendidikan di jenjang sekolah, tidak hanya meningkatkan daya kognitifnya saja melainkan sekolah juga memberi ruang untuk peserta didiknya bebas mengekspresikan pribadi serta melatih kemampuan keterampilan dan skill yang ada. Terdapat banyak ekstrakulikuler di SMA Negeri 1 Indralaya, seperti Rohis, Jurnalistik, PKS, Paduan Suara, PIK-R (Pusat Informasi dan Konseling Remaja), English Club, Basket, Futsal, Voly, Marching Band, Pilar, MPK (Majelis Perwakilan Kelas), OSIS, Pramuka, PMR, Mathematics Student Club, Pencak Silat, Green Generation, KIR (Karya Ilmiah Remaja), dan Seni Tari.

Abstract

This article discusses on the religious authority of the Habaib in Palembang, starting from the arrival of the Habaib, namely during the sultanate, post-sultanate periods and its relationship with the Cawisan culture in Palembang. Cawisan are joint dhikr activities, public lectures, recitations held in mosques, prayer rooms and other places devoted to religious learning. Interest in cawisan in Palembang during the New Orde experienced a decline for various reasons. In the end, the Habaib became the new authority in the midst of Palembang's Muslim community by actively teaching in the cawisan room at the beginning of the  21st  century. The issues raised in this study are Cawisan culture in the early  21st  century and the religious authority of Habaib in Cawisan culture in Palembang. This type of research is a qualitative approach and is carried out based on the right data through interviews with four informants namely Habib Mahdi Muhammad Syahab, Habib Ali Karror al-Haddad, Raden Muhammad Ikhsan, and Kemas Andi Syarifuddin. The results of this study indicate that the Habaib have a role accompanied by authority in the cawisan culture at the beginning of the  21st  century while in the previous era the independent kiai were much more influential in the cawisan culture.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis activity was carried out by the Service Team for the History Education Study Program, FKIP Sriwijaya University in 2022 using the Zoom Meeting application. The urgency behind the implementation of this activity is the lack of optimal learning of local history in high schools in Palembang and its surroundings. The socialization of the preservation of Sriwijaya heritage in the city of Palembang is one of the many local histories found in the province of South Sumatra, precisely in the city of Palembang. So far, teachers have only focused on national history materials contained in government textbooks. In fact, the material in government textbooks is far from the reality and circumstances that surround students. The method used in this activity is the lecture method which is varied with discussion and question and answer, as well as assignments made by participants. This activity can be said to be successfully carried out with indicators of an increase in the understanding of teachers regarding the socialization of the Sriwijaya heritage in Palembang City with an average pre-test score of 40 and an average post-test score of 90. This figure shows a difference of 50 which means there is increasing understanding of the socialization of the remains of Sriwijaya in Palembang City by carrying out community service activities in the form of socializing local history materials.Keywords: Material socialization, Sriwijaya's legacy in Palembang City, Local history learning, History teacher throughout Palembang City. ABSTRAKKegiatan ini dilaksanakan oleh Tim Pengabdian Prodi Pendidikan Sejarah FKIP Universitas Sriwijaya tahun 2022 dengan menggunakan aplikasi zoom meeting. Adapun urgensi yang melatarbelakangi dilaksanakannya kegiatan ini adalah kurang optimalnya pembelajaran sejarah lokal di SMA yang ada di Palembang dan sekitarnya. Sosialisi pelestarian peninggalan Sriwijaya Di kota Palembang merupakan salah satu dari sekian banyak sejarah lokal yang terdapat di Provinsi Sumatera Selatan, tepatnya di Kota Palembang. Selama ini para guru hanya berfokus pada materi sejarah nasional yang terdapat di dalam buku teks pemerintah. Padahal, materi yang ada di dalam buku-buku teks pemerintah jauh dari realitas dan keadaan yang ada di sekitar peserta didik. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah metode ceramah yang divariasikan dengan diskusi dan tanya-jawab, serta penugasan yang dilakukan oleh peserta. Kegiatan ini dapat dikatakan berhasil dilaksanakan dengan indikator terjadinya peningkatan pemahaman para guru mengenai sosialisasi tinggalan Sriwijaya di Kota Palembang dengan skor rata-rata pre-test sebesar 40 dan skor rata-rata post-test sebesar 90. Angka tersebut menunjukkan selisih sebesar 50 yang berarti terdapat peningkatan pemahaman terhadap sosialisasi tinggalan Sriwijaya di Kota Palembang dengan dilakukannya kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat dalam bentuk sosialisasi materi sejarah lokal.Kata Kunci: Sosialisasi materi, Tinggalan Sriwijaya di Kota Palembang, Pembelajaran sejarah lokal, Guru sejarah se-Kota Palembang.

Abstract

This research is a qualitative literature study research with a comparative method. The method used in this research uses the comparative research model from Bereday to present and analyze this research data. Testing the validity of the data was carried out by source triangulation which was carried out by analyzing various literature sources. The purpose of writing this article is to compare the history curriculum developed in Indonesia with that in Australia. The analysis focused on curriculum elements, materials and assessments from the two countries, namely Indonesia and Australia. The results of the analysis show that there are differences between the Indonesian and Australian history curricula, namely in terms of elements, materials and assessment. Indonesia emphasizes the formation of historical awareness and national identity, while Australia places more emphasis on developing interest, understanding and historical inquiry skills. The Indonesian system emphasizes concept and process skills, while Australia has material that is more integrated between knowledge and understanding and skills. On the evaluation side, Indonesia gives freedom to educational units, while Australia uses various types of tests. Although different in approach, both share a common focus on developing a deep understanding of history and analytical skills in students

Abstract

Pariwisata menjadi salah satu industri yang berkembang dengan sangat cepat. Apalagi wisata di Indonesia sangat kental dengan unsur-unsur sejarah, kebudayaan, dan kearifan lokal, membuat pariwisata menjadi sektor andalan pemerintah dalam meningkatkan perekonomian sekaligus menjaga pelestarian sejarah dan budaya. Berdasarkan survei analisis kebutuhan yang dilakukan dengan beberapa anggota HPI Cabang Palembang, didapatkan bahwa masih ada anggota HPI Cabang Palembang mengalami kendala dan keterbatasan saat mereka bertugas sebagai pemandu wisata di kota Palembang. Berangkat dari permasalahan tersebut, tim Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat Prodi Pendidikan Sejarah FKIP Universitas Sriwijaya mengadakan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat untuk anggota HPI Cabang Palembang. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk membantu anggota HPI Cabang Palembang dalam memahami secara utuh sejarah dan budaya kota Palembang serta pembuatan buku saku (Pocket Book) sebagai media informasi mereka dalam melaksanakan tugas memandu wisata. Hasil pengabdian ini menunjukkan terjadi peningkatan tajam pemahaman anggota HPI Cabang Palembang terhadap materi sejarah dan budaya Kota Palembang. Pengabdian ini telah dianggap berhasil karena dapat membantu menjawab permasalahan anggota HPI Cabang Palembang dalam memahami sejarah dan budaya kota Palembang.

Abstract

The development of teaching materials is a manifestation of the lecturer's efforts to develop a strategy in learning that adjusts specific principles by making various adaptations to various learning theories. The development of teaching materials functions as a medium that will facilitate each student to achieve learning outcomes from the material to be studied. This study aims to develop a valid, practical, and effective textbook of Law and International Relation courses using case-based learning framework, and prove its potential impact on student's critical thinking skills. This development research used the Hannafin and Peck model which consists of three phases of activity: analysis, design and development and implementation, and evaluation and revision process. The results of the study showed that the developed textbook was valid after being reviewed by instructional design experts and material experts regarding the feasibility of content, presentation and language with the mean score 3.88 (valid category) for the material and 4.28 (very valid category) for the design. The textbook was declared practical after being tested at the one-to-one evaluation and small group evaluation stages with the mean score 55.67 (practical category). The field test on students’ critical thinking skills revealed that the mean score for pre-test was 60.4 and the mean score was increased for the post-test to 91.2 with an N-gain value of 0.78 (high category). This means the developed case-based learning oriented textbook effectively improves the student’s critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menelisik jejak historiografi mengenai sungai-sungai serta pemaknaan sungai bagi masyarakat Sumatera Selatan. Penelitian ini bersandar pada metode historis melalui empat tahapan, yakni heuristik atau proses pengumpulan data, verifikasi atau kritik sumber, interpretasi atau penafsiran dan historiografi atau analisis penulisan sejarah. Berdasar hasil dari penelitian dapat dikatakan walau masyarakat Sumatera Selatan bersifat dwelling culture, berkehidupan di tepian sungai sehingga membentuk riparian culture, masyarakat berbudaya tepian sungai dengan sungai merupakan hal sangat penting dalam kehidupannya. Namun dalam penelahaan peneliti, masih terdapat minimnya kajian dari perspektif sejarah sungai. Kondisi minimnya tulisan sejarah sungai ini harus ditingkatkan karena menjadi kanal, akses, gerbang, portal untuk memahami pentingnya sungai secara simbolik bagi masyarakat Sumatera Selatan. Di mana sungai diposisikan dan dimaknai sebagai harmonisasi dan keluasan pengetahuan mereka dalam berkehidupan budaya dan politis. Walau tidak lagi terlalu menggantungkan diri dengan sungai, namun pemahaman pada sungai masih sangat relevan dalam mengurai kompleksitas kehidupan masyarakat Sumatera Selatan di tepian Batanghari Sembilan

Abstract

Muara Enim merupakan salah satu kabupaten terkaya di Provinsi Sumatera Selatan. Bukan hanya di bidang Sumber Daya Alam, kabupaten ini juga menyimpan banyak potensi sejarah lokal yang dapat bermanfaat dalam proses pembelajaran sejarah. Namun potensi tersebut, tidak dibarengi dengan kemampuan pendidik dalam memanfaatkannya sebagai muatan materi dalam proses pembelajaran yang dibuktikan melalui hasil pre-test dengan rata-rata 59. Salah satu permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh guru sejarah di daerah ini adalah minimnya kemampuan membuat bahan ajar sejarah lokal yang terstandar, sistematis, dan mudah digunakan. Maka tujuan kegiatan pendampingan ini adalah untuk memberi pemahaman mendalam bagi guru sejarah Sekolah Menengah Atas di Kabupaten Muara Enim mengenai pembuatan bahan ajar berbasis sejarah lokal. Metode yang dipakai dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah metode ceramah, diskusi, demontrasi dan evaluasi. Melalui hasil pengabdian yang dilakukan oleh Dosen Program Studi Pendidikan Sejarah FKIP Universitas Sriwijaya, didapatkan hasil bahwa peserta pengabdian mampu membuat bahan ajar dan memanfaatkan potensi sejarah lokal sebagai sarana belajar kontekstual yang dapat diinternalsasikan dalam upaya peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kepekaan sosial peserta didik terhadap lingkungannya. Bertambahnya pemahaman Guru dapat dilihat dari peningkatan angka hasil post-test dengan rata-rata nilai 89,5
