Abstract

In this study, I investigated the teachers' current practice without curriculum of English lesson at primary schools and teacher's response to the new policy on English lessons in primary school. The participants of this study were 46 respondents which consist of 17 males and 29 females. The data was obtained by distributing an open-ended question to teachers who teach in a primary school in Jember district of East Java. The questionnaire was administered to the teacher to be filled in directly. The first finding showed that most of the teachers agreed that teachers should be qualified, teachers need appropriate teaching media for students, and most of the students are very enthusiastic in learning English. The second finding about the teacher's response to the new policy on English lessons in primary school showed that most teachers expected the government to return the English language policy to be taught in primary school as a compulsory subject. Conclusion, the current practices of teaching English in primary school are divided into three parts, 1) most the teachers who involve become sample in this study agreed that the teachers should be qualified in teaching English in primary school, 2) most the teachers needed teaching media appropriate for the students in primary school, 3) most the students were very enthusiastic about learning English. Abstract

This research had purpose to find out whether there was a positive effect of scavenger hunt technique on students’ reading comprehension of descriptive text. Scavenger Hunt is a fact-finding and information-processing activity, where the students work in group to search for hidden items and perform task by using some clues.The method used in this research was quasi-experimental research. This research was conducted at the eighth grade students of SMP N 2 Kota Solok. The samples of this research were two homogeneous classes that chosen by using purposive sampling technique. The experimental class was taught by using scavenger hunt technique, meanwhile the control class was taught by using three phase technique. The technique of gathering the data of this research was by using reading test. The result of this research showed that there was a positive effect of implementation scavenger hunt technique, where the mean score at experimental class was 77,14 and control class was 72,94. Thus, the experimental students outcomes were higher than the control class.It means that students’ reading comprehension of descriptive text taught by using Scavenger Hunt game technique was better than taught by using three phase technique. Abstract

The research aims at explaining the teacher’s strategies and classroom management techniques applied in teaching English to mental retardation students at SMP Inklusi TPA Jember. This is a descriptive qualitative research. The subject of the research was an English teacher at SMP Inklusi TPA Jember. The data were collected through a non-participant observation and interview. The data were analyzed through identification, classification, data reduction, and description. The findings were: 1) the teacherused three kinds of strategies, i.e. imitation and modeling strategy, demonstration strategy, and active strategy with imitation and modeling strategy as the most used; 2) from 7 classroom management techniques listed by Sarosdy, Bencze, Poor and Vadnay (2016), there were only 5 techniques applied by the teacher including showing respect for students, showing professionalism, applying class techniques, applying positive attitude of teacher’s role and knowing the students. Abstract

This research aimed to look at the effect of inquiry based learning strategy on students’ ability to write a descriptive text. The method of this research was quasi-experiment. The population of this research was eighth-grade students of MTsN Kota Solok. The total population was 65 students. The research results show that the pre-test means score in experimental and control classes was 46,8 and 44,4. The mean score of post-test in the experimental class was 55 and control class 51,6. Students’ ability in writing descriptive text analyzed by using t-test statistical which t calculated= 2,04 and t table (0,975: 38) = 2,02 with significant level t calculated > t table. In conclusion, the students who were taught using an Inquiry based learning strategy have better results in writing descriptive text than those who were taught without inquiry based learning. Abstract

This research aims to describe the lecturers' perception of using zoom cloud meeting as a teaching medium in ESP online learning. The method of this research was descriptive qualitative. The subject of this research was the lecturers who teach ESP at State Polytechnic of Malang and University of PGRI Argopuro Jember. The results of this research showed that the lecturers could use zoom cloud meetings as a medium in teaching ESP during online learning, zoom cloud meetings could help the lecturers to teach, and it could help them to interact with the students when they did teaching and learning process. Abstract

This study aims to determine the increase in the ability to write early using the glass analysis method. This research is a case study of grade 1 elementary school students who have difficulty writing beginning. After identification of the main factors children have difficulty writing (disgrafia), namely factors in their own children and the environment, especially parents and daily habits at home. The use of creative methods such as the glass analysis method, namely the separation of syllables, makes it easier for students to write because they remember one by one syllables that will be arranged into a word and sentence. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui minat belajar mahasiswa berkebutuhan khusus dalam proses pembelajaran di kampus UNIPAR Jember saat masa pandemi yang mana proses pembelajaran dilakukan secara daring. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancana. Penulis menggunakan teknik wawancara dengan 8 mahasiswa berkebutuhan khusus baik mahasiswa tuna netra dan mahasiswa tuna rungu wicara. Berdasarkan dari hasil wawancara terhadap ke 8 mahasiswa tersebut, ditemukan bahwa selama proses pembelajaran daring berlangsung, mahasiswa berkebutuhan khusus di kampus UNIPAR Jember, menunjukkan minat belajar yang lebih meningkat dari pada pembelajaran tatap muka. Hal ini disebabkan oleh banyaknya mahasiswa berkebutuhan khusus yang lebih banyak terbantu oleh orang-orang disekitar, baik teman dan keluarga. Mahasiswa berkebutuhan khusus, bisa mengulang-ngulang kembali matakuliah yang telah disampaikan karena selama proses pembelajaran daring bisa dilakukan perekaman, sehingga akan lebih mudah dipelajari kembali. Dampak negatifnya yaitu mahasiswa berkebutuhan khusus lebih memiliki ketergantungan akan bantuan teman atau keluarga saat membimbing proses pembelajaran, sehingga bisa mengurangi kemandirian dalam proses pembelajaran sehari-hari

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat bagaimana pembelajaran tema 1 terhadap Pendidikan karakter Siswa Tunagrahita Ringan Melalui penerapan Blended Learning pada masa pandemi covid-19 di SLB Bhakti Pertiwi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian sebelumnya bahwa proses pembelajaran Blended Learning guru dapat mengontrol karakter siswa sehingga tidak begitu berpengaruh pembelajaran ini terhadap nilai-nilai karakter dan semua nilai karakter telah diterapkan. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara pembelajaran Blended Learning terhadap nilai-nilai karakter siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian eksperimental. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam suasana kelas daring, Luring Tatap Muka Terbatas di SLB Bhakti Pertiwi tanpa mengubah komposisi kelas yang sudah ada, sehingga penelitian ini merupakan eksperimen semu atau kuasi eksperimen (quasi experiment). Subyek penelitian adalah siswa tunagrahita ringan kelas VI di SLB Bhakti Pertiwi yang berjumlah 12 siswa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa dampak pembelajaran materi tema 1 terhadap Pendidikan karakter siswa tunagrahita ringan kelas VI di di SLB Bhakti Pertiwi Kalibaru Banyuwangi melalui pembelajaran Blended Learning dapat meningkatkan Pendidikan karakter Siswa Tunagrahita Ringan kelas VI di di SLB Bhakti Pertiwi Kalibaru.Namun hasil korelasi menunjukkan bahwa terdapat dampak negatif dan berdampak tidak signifikan Penguasaan Materi Tema 1 Terhadap Karakter Siswa Kelas VI Tunagrahita Melalui Pembelajaran Blended Learning Pada Masa Pandemi Covid-19 Di SLB Bhakti Pertiwi Kalibaru Kabupaten Banyuwangi

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adakah pengaruh metode bernyanyi terhadap perkembangan bahasa anak usia dini Kelompok A di PAUD AL-HIDAYAH di Kecamatan Sumbersari Kabupaten Jember. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan desain pre eksperimen, sampel penelitian ini adalah anak kelompok A PAUD AL-HIDAYAH sebanyak 17 siswa. Metode pengambilan data dengan observasi dan tes perkembangan bahasa anak dengan melakukan pre-test dan post-test. Penelitian ini menggunakan One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Dengan demikian hasil perlakuan dapat diketahui lebih akurat, karena dapat membandingkan dengan keadaan sebelum diberi perlakuan dan sesudah diberi perlakuan. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan statistik, dengan taraf signifikansi 5% didapatkan nilai t hitung > dari t tabel, yakni 16,386 > 2,12 dengan demikian maka ada pengaruh metode bernyanyi terhadap perkembangan bahasa anak di PAUD AL-HIDAYAH Sumbersari Jember Tahun Pelajaran 2016/2017.

Abstract

Media is a teaching aid to convey messages to students during the learning process. The aim of the research is to develop Autoplay Studio 8 Media to find out the validity, practicality and effectiveness of Autoplay Studio 8 based learning media to overcome boredom in learning. This research adopted the Borg and Gall model with 10 stages which were made into 7 stages to develop English language learning media for class III with a total of 20 students at SD Negeri 3 Kandang Kapongan Situbondo. The material content is 98% and the presentation is 85% so that a total of 91% is in the very decent category. For media experts, there are several aspects that are assessed, including appearance (83%), menu (80%), coloring (73%), font (83%), implementation (83%), and a total of 81%. which is included in the very feasible category. Validation by educators who assessed several aspects of the curriculum was 93%, content was 85%, and media was 88%. If added up, the overall result is 88% in the very suitable category, while the results tested on media students are 90%, the material aspect is 90%, and the benefits aspect is 86%, so it is collected. The total is 90% so that the learning media using Autoplay Studio 8 with animal love material is suitable for use in learning activities, especially in class III elementary school, which is very helpful for explaining more in depth and can be developed in the form of smartphone software to be more effective and efficient.
