Abstract

This study aims to identify the various obstacles faced by students with disabilities in participating in academic activities in the lectures. The method used is descriptive qualitative Husserl. In selection of participants using purposive sampling with the criteria of students with UNIPAR students with disabilities, and 117 participants were obtained. Collecting data collection using semi-structured interviews, observation, and documentation using triangulation techniques. Using data analysis using triagulation techniques. The results of the study obtained there are problems in the form of challenges or obstacles faced by students with disabilities in attending lectures from disabilities in attending lectures from internal and external parties, namely students themselves, from the lecturers, and infrastructure that needs to be improved. Accessibility needs to be improved. Abstract

Special Needs Education (SNE) faces persistent challenges, particularly in teaching English as a Foreign Language (EFL) to students with disabilities. Limited teacher preparedness, insufficient professional development, and underutilized digital resources contribute to these difficulties, calling for more inclusive instructional approaches. This study explores how multimodal digital tools and deep learning pedagogical strategies—emphasizing higher-order thinking and critical reflection—can support teacher competence and instructional quality in EFL classrooms within the SNE context. Employing a mixed-methods design, the study involved 50 teachers from integrated schools for students with special needs in Indonesia, spanning primary to high school levels. These teachers participated in a professional development program focused on designing interactive digital books using the Book Creator platform. The findings of this study reveal that integrating multimodal digital tools contributed to increased engagement, accessibility, and differentiated instruction for students. At the same time, deep learning strategies encouraged more reflective and adaptive teaching practices. Nevertheless, challenges such as limited access to technology and the need for ongoing training continue to affect implementation. The study recommends sustained institutional support and targeted professional development to promote more inclusive and responsive EFL instruction in special education settings.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi peran kepala sekolah dan guru dalam membangun dan mengembangkan komunitas belajar di Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini (PAUD). Komunitas belajar merupakan sebuah pendekatan yang menekankan pada kolaborasi dan partisipasi aktif antara siswa, guru, dan orang tua untuk menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang kondusif. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus di beberapa PAUD di Jember. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan analisis dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepala sekolah memainkan peran kunci dalam menciptakan visi dan misi yang mendukung pengembangan komunitas belajar. Kepala sekolah yang efektif memfasilitasi pelatihan dan pengembangan profesional bagi guru, mendorong keterlibatan orang tua, dan menciptakan budaya sekolah yang inklusif. Sementara itu, guru berperan sebagai fasilitator dan mediator dalam proses belajar, serta bertanggung jawab untuk merancang dan mengimplementasikan strategi pembelajaran yang kolaboratif dan partisipatif. Kesimpulannya, peran kepala sekolah dan guru sangat penting dalam membangun dan mengembangkan komunitas belajar di PAUD. Penelitian ini memberikan rekomendasi praktis bagi kepala sekolah dan guru untuk mengoptimalkan peran mereka dalam mendukung komunitas belajar, serta memberikan wawasan bagi pembuat kebijakan pendidikan untuk mendukung inisiatif ini.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the school-community relationship program through the Hidden Curriculum during the Covid-19 pandemic at Al-Furqan Elementary School Jember. This research focuses on implementing the school-community relationship program through the Hidden Curriculum during the Covid-19 pandemic at Al-Furqan Elementary School Jember. The approach in this research is qualitative research with a case study. The object of research is Al-Furqan Elementary School, Jember Regency. The data collection technique uses observation, interview, and documentation techniques with data analysis using qualitative data analysis procedures consisting of data condensation, data presentation, and inference/verification. The results showed the implementation of the school-community relationship program through the Hidden Curriculum during the Covid-19 pandemic at Al-Furqon Elementary School Jember, including learning, humanitarian, cultural, and partnership programs carried out by; 1) extracurricular activities; 2) co-curricular; and 3) extracurricular. Hidden curriculum through extracurricular activities such as character strengthening, Sunday morning activity, digital literacy, a celebration of religious holidays and the role of school committees. Co-curricular activities implemented are morning habituation with memorizing prayers, fostering homeroom teacher and Counseling Guidance teacher, and reciting the Qur'an, which is carried out through zoom and learning using google classroom. Extracurricular activities are scouting, computers and young doctor, all carried out online.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of animated video media on tooth brushing skills in 12th-grade children with moderate intellectual disabilities at SLB-C TPA Jember. This study employed a Single-Subject Research (SSR) method with an A-B design. The results showed that the use of animated video media can improve tooth brushing skills in children with moderate intellectual disabilities. In conclusion, animated video media is an effective learning aid for improving toothbrushing skills in children with moderate intellectual disabilities. It is hoped that this will provide an opportunity for further research on the application of animated video media in other aspects of daily life for children with intellectual disabilities.   Keywords: Children with Moderate Intellectual Disabilities, Tooth Brushing Skills, Animated Video

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Tracing the Dots technique on the vowel writing ability of second-grade students with moderate intellectual disabilities at the BCD YPAC Jember Special Needs School. The method used was a quantitative one-group pretest-posttest design. The results showed that the calculated Z value (4.91) was greater than Zα (1.645); thus, H₀ was rejected and Hₐ was accepted. This means that the application of the Tracing the Dots technique has a significant influence on the vowel writing ability of second-grade students with moderate intellectual disabilities at the BCD YPAC Jember Special Needs School. The conclusion is that the Tracing the Dots technique is efficacious in improving vowel writing ability in children with moderate intellectual disabilities. Therefore, this technique can be used as an alternative writing learning strategy for teachers in special needs schools.   Keywords: Intellectual Disability, Vowel Writing, Tracing the Dots Technique

Abstract

Disabilitas netra adalah kondisi dimana terdapat hambatan pada penglihatannya sehingga membawa dampak pada kehidupan sehari-harinya seperti membaca. Jika seseorang mengalami kesulitan dalam mengenal huruf maka dipastikan seseorang tersebut akan kesulitan dalam membaca. Sehingga, pengenalan huruf ini sangat penting dalam perkembangan kemampuan membaca pada seseorang. Talkback pengenalan huruf abjad adalah suatu system fitur pembaca layar dan aplikasi talkback dirasa cocok dengan kebutuhan disabilitas netra. Berdasarkan latar belakang masalah, maka dapat dirumuskan suatu permasalahan yaitu apakah ada pengaruh aplikasi talkback pengenalan huruf abjad terhadap disabilitas netra. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini membahas tentang pengaruh aplikasi talkback pengenalan huruf abjad yang diharapkan dapat membantu disabilitas netra. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan dalam pemahaman huruf abjad melalui aplikasi talkback pada disabilitas netra di Jl. Ahmad Yani Nomor 25, Kelurahan Tamansari Kabupaten Bondowoso. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Single Subject Research (SSR). Penelitian ini menggunakan desain A-B. Subjek penelitian ini disabilitas netra yang berinisial M. Dalam proses penelitian menggunakan dua fase yaitu fase baseline dan fase intervensi. Pada fase baseline yang dilakukan selama 5 sesi dan 10 sesi pada fase intervensi dengan waktu 40 menit setiap sesi. Dari hasil persentase baseline yaitu 40%, 40%, 50%, 60% dan 50%, hasil yang diperoleh dilanjut dengan analisis dalam kondisi dan analisis antar kondisi. Pada persentase overlap yang didapatkan adalah 0% yang menunjukkan bahwa intervensi yang diberikan pada disabilitas netra berpengaruh terhadap pemahaman huruf abjad yang ada di aplikasi talkback. Dengan demikian rumusan masalah yang dikemukakan terjawab bahwa aplikasi talkback efektif meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman huruf abjad pada disabilitas netra di Jl. Ahmad Yani Nomor 25, Kelurahan Tamansari Kabupaten Bondowoso. Kata kunci: Disabilitas Netra; Aplikasi Talkback; Single Subject Reasearch (SSR); Huruf Abjad.

Abstract

Rendahnya pemahaman dalam menguasai materi oleh peserta didik dalam mengikuti pembelajaran yang terjadi dalam mengikuti pembelajaran khususnya pelajaran bahasa inggris untuk hasil belajar dalam belajar beberapa faktor yang diantaranya menggunakan metode pembelajaran konvensional yang bisa menimbulkan rasa bosan dalam mengikuti pembelajaran serta menggunakan media pembelajaran tidak menarik dalam pembelajaran. Jenis dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas mengadopsi model kemmis dan MC Tagart, siklusnya terdiri 4 Face adalah perencanaan, tindakan ,observasi, refleksi. Siklus I presentase ketuntasan 57% dan rata rata 75,0 karna kurang menyampai tuntas 80% maka melanjutkan siklus ke II. Sedangkan siklus II peserta didik yang tuntas 12 dan belum tuntas 2 dari 14 peserta didik presentase ketuntasan 86 % dan rata rata 81,07 karna sudah menyampai target 80% maka tidak melanjutkan siklus ke II metode pembelajaran Think, Pair, Share (TPS) dapat meningkatkan pemahaman terhadap pelajaran bahasa inggris dengan pokok pembahasan Celebrating Independence Day. Metode pembelajaran Think, Pair, Share (TPS) yang efektif kesesuaian dengan modul ajar, dan peningkatan ketuntasan belajar memberikan kontribusi terhadap peningkatan. Abstract

Pengaruh Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi (TIK) dalam Dunia Pendidikan telah membawa perubahan revolusioner dalam dunia pendidikan untuk penangan dalam kesulitan belajar pada di SMP Negeri Satu atap kandang akan tetapi banyak dampak yang terjadi pada peserta didik salah satunya adalah kurangnya percaya diri yang menurun disebabkan oleh merasa tidak mampuan dan kehilangan percaya diri penelitian pengembangan yang sering dengar Research and Development dalam penelitian Model pengembangan dengan 4 langkah antara lain analysis, desain, development dan implementation. peneliti dengan media pembelajaran berbasis androidhasil validasi ahli media mendapatkan skor 80 dari 90 maka masuk dalam kategori baik dan sistem operasi android hasil validasi ahli materi mendapatkan skor 84 dari 90 maka termasuk katergori baik Disetiap proses tahapan membutuhkan data yang valid serta akurat demi tercapainya dalam mengembangkan media pembelajaran yang baik dan mampu menjawab permaslahan yang terjadi di SMP Negeri Satu atap Kandang dalam tingkat kelayakan mengembangkan media pembelajaran ini menentukan kelajutan pengembang penelitian dengan mendapat katergori baik dalam tingkat kelayakan media pembelajaran. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of play therapy on the social interaction skills of first-grade dyslexic children, Ustman bin Affan, at Harapan Umat Elementary School in Jember. This study used a single-subject research (SSR) method with an A-B design, with (A) as the baseline condition and (B) as the intervention condition or condition after treatment. The target behavior in this study was the social interaction skills of children with dyslexia. Researchers analyzed the research data using within-condition and between-condition analysis techniques. The results showed that play therapy can impact the social interaction skills of dyslexic children, with the percentage of subjects' scores increasing from 43.8% before treatment to 72.8% after undergoing play therapy. Therefore, the implementation of play therapy can impact the social interaction skills of dyslexic children by helping them improve their ability to build interactions with their surroundings.   Keywords: Dyslexic Children, Social Interaction Skills, Play Therapy
