Abstract

This research is motivated by students' difficulties in understanding the subject matter of Islamic Cultural History, which is considered complex and abstract, especially in the material on the exemplary stories of Walisongo. Learning media innovations such as digital flipbooks are needed to improve student learning outcomes. This study aims to measure the effectiveness of digital flipbooks in improving student learning outcomes in the material on the exemplary stories of Walisongo. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design model involving an experimental class (using digital flipbooks) and a control class (conventional learning) with subjects of class IX students of MTsN 1 Jombang. Data collection in this study was in the form of tests. Data analysis in this study used normality tests, homogeneity tests, independent sample t-tests, and normalized N-Gain. Based on the results of the analysis using SPSS version 30, the results of the independent sample t-test showed a sig value (2-tailed) <0.001. The N-Gain test results for the experimental class were 66.3% (quite effective) and the control class was 41.8% (less effective). Based on these two data analyses, it can be concluded that students who use digital flipbooks in learning obtain higher average scores than students who use learning without digital flipbooks. This means that digital flipbook learning media can be an effective alternative used in learning the material on the exemplary stories of Walisongo.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of innovation in the use of learning media in schools. Monotonous learning without media variations can cause boredom in students, resulting in less than optimal understanding of the material. Flipbooks, as an interactive learning medium, are expected to improve the quality of learning and provide a more interesting and effective learning experience. This research aims to develop flipbook-based learning media on Walisongo's exemplary material at MA Mambaul Ulum Megaluh Jombang. This study measures the validity and feasibility of media products by involving material experts and media experts, as well as evaluating the responses of teachers and students to the products developed. The research method used is R&D (Research and Development) with a 4D development model, namely Define, Design, Development, and Disseminate. Data was obtained through interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The results of the study show that the flipbook learning media product developed has been validated with a score of 86% by material experts and 83% by media experts, both of which are in the "Very Feasible" category. The teacher's response reached 82% and the student's response was 83%, also in the "Very Feasible" category. Thus, this flipbook learning media is very feasible to be used in learning Islamic cultural history at MA Mambaul Ulum Megaluh Jombang.

Abstract

This study examines the role of Arabic language instruction as a medium for internalizing worship values through the Takhassus Program at MTsN 3 Jombang. The research data comprise Arabic learning activities directly integrated with students’ daily worship routines, such as ablution (wudhu), prayer, dhikr, and the use of Arabic expressions in everyday communication. The data sources include primary data from participant observation and in-depth interviews with 10 seventh-grade students, 2 Arabic teachers, and 1 principal, as well as secondary data such as program documents, lesson plans, and school archives. A qualitative case study design was employed, with purposive sampling to select informants directly involved in the program. Data collection combined participant observation, interviews, and documentation, while data were analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s interactive model: data reduction, display, and conclusion drawing. The findings show that Arabic instruction is functionally embedded in students’ worship practices, positioning the language as both a communicative and devotional tool. This integration is strengthened by teacher modeling and the school’s spiritual climate, supporting the internalization of worship values. The study contributes theoretically by framing Arabic as a value-based pedagogical instrument and practically by offering a contextual, replicable model for Islamic schools. Although challenges exist, such as limited time and difficulties understanding classical texts, these are addressed through extracurricular activities and traditional methods like sorogan and bandongan. Thus, Arabic language instruction linked to worship practice serves as a transformative approach for developing students’ moral and spiritual character in a sustainable way.

Abstract

Zakat plays a crucial role in fostering social welfare and reducing economic inequality. However, its implementation in rural areas, such as Desa Tapen, often faces challenges due to limited access to information and technology. In the digital era, zakat payments can be made more efficiently through QR CODE technology, specifically with the Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard (QRIS) system developed by Bank Indonesia. Nevertheless, online zakat payments have not yet been implemented in Desa Tapen due to the community's lack of knowledge about the platform. Therefore, there is a need for socialization regarding the use of QRIS as a modern solution for online zakat payments. It is hoped that this socialization will enhance the community’s understanding of the ease, security, and benefits of QRIS, encouraging the adoption of online zakat payments in Desa Tapen

Abstract

This activity aims to increase the awareness of the Tapen Village community regarding the importance of using water hyacinth plants as raw materials for making organic fertilizer, which is an innovative solution that not only helps overcome environmental problems, but also provides economic benefits. The approach method used for the community in Tapen village is the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method. This method is a research method carried out in a participatory manner between Farmer Groups to encourage the implementation of previously planned programs. This socialization activity was carried out through discussions in the form of providing materials and questions and answers regarding the importance of processing and using water hyacinth as a basic ingredient for liquid organic fertilizer. The results obtained from this activity are able to increase the knowledge and skills of the participants, especially farmer groups, village officials and Tapen Village youth in processing water hyacinth into liquid organic fertilizer. This output is very important because it empowers communities to utilize the natural resources around them, as well as reducing dependence on chemical fertilizers.
