Abstract

Masalah gizi pada remaja di Indonesia muncul akibat ketidakseimbangan antara konsumsi zat gizi dengan kecukupan gizi yang diperlukan. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui hubungan konsumsi makanan cepat saji, tingkat stres dan kualitas tidur terhadap status gizi pada remaja putra SMA DKI Jakarta. Rancangan penelitian adalahcross-sectional study dengan jumlah responden 160 orang remaja putra. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuesioner FFQ, ISMA (International Stress Management Association) dan PSQI (Pittburgh Sleep Quality Index). Analisis data menggunakan uji chi-square. Hasil menunjukkan terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara tingkat stres terhadap status gizi (p-value = 0,017). Namun, tidak ada hubungan yang signifikan antara konsumsi makanan cepat saji (p-value = 0,210) dan kualitas tidur (p-value = 0,165) terhadap status gizi. Bagi remaja putra diharapkan untuk lebih meningkatkan makanan bergizi seimbang serta memiliki tingkat stres dan kualitas tidur yang baik agar dapat mencapai status gizi normal

Abstract

Introduction: Indonesia is one of the countries with the fastest HIV development in Asia. The cumulative number of cases from 2003 to 2013 was 108,600 cases. The national accumulation is estimated at 186,000 people living with HIV in 2010. Papua is an area with an expanding HIV prevalence of 2.4%. HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) is a virus that attacks the body's immune system. Tuberculosis (TB) is a bacterial infection that is spread through droplets inhaled from the coughs or sneezes of an infected person. Nutritional status is an important factor of disease immunity and plays a role in the frequency and severity of infection by inhibiting immune function for HIV patients with pulmonary TB. Vulnerability in HIV patients with a nutritional status below normal is more easily infected with Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Based on cases of TB HIV coinfection during 2010-2017, there was an increase from 2,393 to 7,796. This study aimed to determine the enhancement of nutritional needs of patients during hospitalization.Method: This research method uses a descriptive case study. This research was conducted in July 2021 at the Rumah Sakit Umum Tangerang with a saturated sample.Result: The outcome of observations and interviews with nutritional care for five days, there was an improvement in appetite disorders with an initial fulfillment of 70% to achieve a nutritional intake of 100%, the feeding route with the NGT gradually became oral, as well as the texture of enteral food, then the texture of the combination of soft and enteral, thus regular enteral meals. The finding is that monitoring the compliance of nutrients gradually increase the need for daily intake, eating routes, and evolved eating texture.

Abstract

Pada saat pandemi Covid-19, kegiatan masyarakat yang awalnya dilakukan secara langsung, sebagian besar berubah menjadi via daring atau online yang dilakukan di rumah, seperti Work From Home (WFH) dan Study From Home (SFH). Peningkatan prevalensi masyarakat yang overweight dan obesitas berkaitan kurangnya aktifitas fisik. Ditambah lagi terdapat kecenderungan konsumsi makanan yang menigkat pada saat Idul fitri dapat mengakibatkan kenaikan berat badan. Hal ini harus dapat dicegah dengan kebiasaan hidup sehat. Oleh karena itu, perlu dilakukan suatu kegiatan yang memberikan pengetahuan pada masyarakat tentang cara untuk menjadi sehat dan bugar. Metode yang digunakan adalah seminar online melalui webinar di Google Meet. Pemilihan metode ini dilakukan mengikuti protokol PSBB yang dicanangkan oleh Pemerintah sebagai langkah mencegah penyebaran Covid-19. Webinar ini diselenggarakan pada tanggal 21 Mei 2020 pukul 13.00-15.30 WIB. Webinar ini diikuti oleh 189 peserta dari berbagai daerah di Indonesia.

Abstract

Latar Belakang:  Kondisi Pandemi Covid-19 menyebabkan terjadinya perubahan pola makan pada masyarakat. Pengetahuan gizi khususnya saat pandemi sangat penting dalam menentukan perilaku seseorang dalam menentukan jenis makanan yang dipilih. Semakin baik pengetahuan gizi seseorang maka semakin baik pula dalam menentukan jenis dan jumlah makanan yang diperlukan bagi tubuh. Tujuan: mengetahui hubungan tingkat pengetahuan gizi terhadap perilaku konsumsi sayur, buah dan suplemen di masa pandemi covid-19. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan desain cross sectional. Penelitian dilakukan di Gereja Masehi Advent Hari Ketujuh (GMAHK) Salemba, Jakarta pada bulan April–Agustus 2021. Pemilihan responden dilakukan dengan cara simple random sampling dengan total 56 responden. Pengambilan data dilakukan menggunakan kuesioner pengetahuan gizi berisi 10 pertanyaan dan perilaku konsumsi 20 pertanyaan. Analisis data dilakukan dengan uji Chi Square. Hasil: Berdasarkan hasil analisis bivariat, diketahui ada hubungan pengetahuan gizi terhadap perilaku konsumsi sayur di masa pandemi covid-19 (p=0,014), ada hubungan pengetahuan gizi terhadap perilaku konsumsi buah di masa pandemi covid-19 (p=0,019), dan tidak ada hubungan pengetahuan gizi terhadap perilaku konsumsi suplemen di masa pandemi covid-19 (p=0,202). Kesimpulan: Ada hubungan antara pengetahuan gizi dengan perilaku konsumsi sayur dan buah pada masa pandemi covid-19, dan tidak ada hubungan pengetahuan gizi dengan perilaku konsumsi suplemen di masa pandemi covid-19.

Abstract

Background: The growth and development experienced by school-age children need to be supported by optimal nutritional intake, which can be obtained from vegetables and fruit. In order for these conditions to be achieved, it is necessary to provide interesting nutrition education so that children can understand well. In addition, it will form good nutritional behavior as well.Objective: To determine the effect of Nutrition-Run Game media on children's knowledge and attitudes towards the importance of consuming vegetables and fruits.Methods: This research design is Quasi-Experimental with One Group Pretest and Posttest Design. The research subjects were 37 children aged 9-12 years in the Sitanala Multipurpose Complex RT.004. The sampling technique is purposive sampling. The number of questionnaires used for knowledge is 13 questions, and attitudes are 14 questions Subjects were given a pre-test questionnaire and then given an intervention using the Nutrition-Run Game media. After that, the subject was given a post-test 1 questionnaire. Then, seven days later, the subject was again given the same questionnaire (post-test 2). Analysis of the data used is the Paired Sample T-Test.Results: The results showed that most of the subjects had a low level of knowledge (81,1%), and there were still subjects who had poor attitudes (24,3%). After being given education, there was an increase in scores for both variables. The bivariate analysis results showed a significant difference between knowledge and attitude scores before and after giving intervention media regarding the importance of consuming vegetables and fruit (p≤0,05).Conclusion: There is an effect of using the Nutrition-Run Game media on children's knowledge and attitudes regarding vegetable and fruit consumption.

Abstract

Background: Visceral fat is fat that is stored in the adipose tissue of the abdominal region. The accumulation of high amounts of visceral fat causes central obesity and the occurrence of metabolic syndrome which is a risk for degenerative diseases. Banten Province shows that the prevalence of obesity in 2018 is 22.5% and in 2020 it is 25.2%. Risk factors that cause obesity, especially in the workplace, are lack of physical activity, unhealthy eating patterns, and unhealthy lifestyles. Objective: to determine the relationship between glycemic load, physical activity, and work stress with visceral fat. Methods: The research was carried out in the Office of Manpower and Transmigration of Banten Province, from August 2021 to August 2022. This type of research is quantitative research which is an analytic survey using a cross-sectional research design with a research sample of 76 respondents. Data analysis used the Chi-Square test. Results: There was a relationship between glycemic load and visceral fat (p=0.000), there was a relationship between physical activity and visceral fat (p=0.002), and there was no relationship between work stress and visceral fat (p=0.137). This is because respondents still consume sufficient carbohydrate food on weekdays and holidays and respondents tend to do less physical activity which causes fat accumulation in the body.Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between glycemic load and physical activity to the formation of visceral fat.

Abstract

Adolescent athletes are a group that’s vulnerable to decreased water content and has a higher risk of dehydration. Results showed, 22% of adolescent athletes were highly dehydrated. This study aims to knowing the determinants factor of hydration status for martial arts athletes in Pusat Pelatihan Olahraga Pelajar DKI Jakarta. The research uses a quantitive method with a cross sectional design and sample of 50 martial arts athletes (13-18 years). Data obtained through food recall 1x24 hours for fluid consumption, nutritional status with BMI/U, percent body fat with Ultrasonic Body Fat Analyzer SR-HW 05 Serenity instrument, physical activity with PAL sheets, and hydration status with Specific Gravity values. Data analysis using Pearson correlation test. The results showed a significant correlation between female nutritional status (p<0.05), male and female fluid consumption (p<0.05) with hydration status of martial arts athletes. However, there was no significant correlation between male nutritional status, male and female percent body fat, male and female physical activity with hydration status of martial arts athletes (p>0.05). Fluid consumption is factor that affects the hydration status of male and female martial arts athletes. It’s important for athletes to maintain their hydration status in order to carry out training and competitions optimally.

Abstract

Abstrak: Prevalensi masalah diabetes meningkat setiap tahunya, masalah ini akan menyebabkan masalah dan komplikasi bagi kesehatan. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, salah satunya meningkatkan pengetahuan gizi mengenai diabetes. Salah satu cara meningkatkan pengetahuan melalui cakram gizi diabetes. Tujuan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keteramilan kader Posbindu di Puskesmas Rawalumbu, Kota Bekasi menggunakan cakram gizi edukasi diabetes tipe II. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan di Puskesmas Rawalumbu, Kota Bekasi. Peserta kegiatan ini merupakan seluruh kader Posbindu di wilayah tersebut sebesar 30 orang. Edukasi dilakukan dari pukul 09.00 – 12.00 WIB di Puskesmas. Media yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini berupa cakram gizi diabetes, cakram ini berisikan informasi mengenai gizi dan indeks glikemik pada makanan. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini berupa kuesioner pre-test dan post-test, berjumlah sepuluh pertanyaan tentang kegiatan edukasi dan lima pertanyaan tentang daya terima media. Hasil kegiatan ini mendapatkan pengetahuan sebelum edukasi sebesar 77 dan menjadi sebesar 88 setelah kegiatan edukasi terjadi peningkatan sebesar 16%. Oleh karena itu, penggunaan media berupa cakram gizi diabetes dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan gizi kader Posbindu.Abstract: The incidence of diabetic complications is steadily rising each year, leading to various health issues and difficulties. One possible solution to address this issue is to enhance the understanding of diabetes through increased nutritional education. Using diabetes nutrition discs is an effective method to enhance understanding. The objective of this community service is to improve the knowledge and practice of Posbindu cadres at the Rawalumbu Community Health Center, Bekasi City, by utilizing type II diabetes educational nutrition discs. The community service initiative took place at the Rawalumbu Community Health Center, located in Bekasi City. All 30 Posbindu cadres from the vicinity were involved in this activity were 30 Posbindu cadres located in the vicinity. The educational activities take place from 09.00 to 12.00 WIB at the Puskesmas. This activity utilizes a diabetes nutrition disc, providing comprehensive information on nutrition and the glycemic index of various food items. The instruments used in this investigation consisted of pre-test and post-test questionnaires, containing a total of ten inquiries pertaining to educational activities and five inquiries on media acceptability. The pre-test of knowledge score was 77, which increased to 88 after participating in educational activities, resulting in a 16% improvement. Hence, employing media such as diabetes nutrition discs can enhance the nutritional awareness of Posbindu cadres.

Abstract

Kawasan Asia menyumbang plastik terbanyak ke laut setiap tahunnya, dengan Indonesia berada di posisi kedua menghasilkan 1,29 juta ton plastik per tahun. Pada 2022, total sampah di Indonesia mencapai 34,46 juta ton, di mana 17,8% berupa plastik. Penggunaan plastik yang tidak sesuai dapat berisiko pada kesehatan, seperti kanker hati dan gangguan ginjal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh edukasi penggunaan wadah plastik terhadap pengetahuan dan sikap responden melalui platform digital. Jenis penelitian adalah pre-eksperimen dengan desain one group pretest-posttest. Data dikumpulkan secara daring melalui Google Form kepada 30 responden dari grup WhatsApp alumni SMA. Teknik total sampling digunakan dengan kriteria tertentu, dan analisis data dilakukan menggunakan Uji Wilcoxon. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan rata-rata skor pengetahuan responden dari 7,20 ± 1,750 (sebelum edukasi) menjadi 8,58 ± 0,776 (setelah edukasi) dengan selisih 1,38 (p = 0,001). Rata-rata skor sikap juga meningkat dari 5,93 ± 1,893 menjadi 7,73 ± 0,980 dengan selisih 1,8 (p = 0,001). Karakteristik responden didominasi oleh perempuan (66,67%), berusia 29 tahun (50%), berpendidikan sarjana (66,67%), bekerja di sektor swasta (80%), dan berpendapatan di atas UMR NTT (56,67%). Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa edukasi berbasis digital efektif dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan dan sikap responden terhadap penggunaan wadah plastik. Penelitian ini berimplikasi pada pengembangan metode edukasi untuk mengurangi dampak negatif plastik bagi kesehatan dan lingkungan.
