Abstract

Keberhasilan usaha peningkatan produksi pertanian memang dipengaruhi oleh banyak faktor. Namun dari banyak faktor tersebut, ada beberapa faktor yang sangat tergantung pada upaya yang dilakukan sumber daya manusia, diantaranya persiapan lahan, penerapan tata cara budidaya yang benar, cara panen dan perlakuan pascapanen yang tepat. Studi Litelatur: Mengenai budidaya tomat, analisis kelayakan usaha tani, dan kondisi spesifik kebun praktek  Universitas Nusa Nipa. Persiapan Alat dan Bahan: Alat dan bahan yang diperlukan, seperti hand tractor, cangkul, parang, ember, gayung, sendok makan, gembor, tali rafia, benih tomat, pupuk, kalsium, solar. Berdasarkan hasil di atas dapat disimpulkan bahawa analisis usahatani tomat di Kebun Praktek Unipa sebagai berikut : total biaya yang dibutuhkan dalam usahatani tomat  di Kebun Praktek Unipa sebesar Rp 15.487.000, penerimaan yang diterima adalah Rp 24.984.000, sedangkan pendapatan yang diperoleh sebesar Rp Rp 9.497.000, kelayakan usahatani Rp 1,61 Nilai R/C ratio lebih besar dari 1, maka usahatani tomat di Kebun Praktek Unipa layak untuk diusahakan.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan pemberdayaan masyarakat di desa Wolorega Kecamatan Mego Kabupaten Sikka dalam memanfaatkan lahan pekarangan rumah berbasis ramah lingkungan. Metode yang diterapkan oleh Tim PKM meliputi, sosialisasi/penyuluhan dan pelatihan/workshop pembuatan pupuk bokasi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan PKM berlangsung dengan baik dan lancar. Program ini mampu memberi motivasi kepada masyarakat dalam memanfaatkan pekarangan rumah sebagai media budidaya tanaman dan pemanfaatan bahan organic sebagai pupuk bokasi yang secara tidak langsung akan meningkatkan pendapatan dan kesejahteraan masyarakat. Kendala-kendala yang muncul pada tahap pelaksanaan kegiatan PPM dapat diatasi dengan metode monitoring, evaluasi dan pendampingan. Penerapan teknologi yang dilaksanakan telah menghasilkan pupuk organik sebagai alternatif pupuk anorganik yang ramah ingkungan serta kebun pekarangan contoh di rumah warga.

Abstract

The intensive and long-term use of inorganic fertilizers has the potential to degrade soil quality and disrupt the balance of agricultural ecosystems, thereby requiring sustainable alternatives based on local resources. This study aims to enhance the knowledge and skills of members of the Wira Wanita Mandiri Farmer Group in Kolisia Village, Magepanda District, in utilizing rice husk as a raw material for organic fertilizer. The methods employed included counseling, training, and hands-on practice in organic fertilizer production involving 15 farmer group members. The fertilizer production process was carried out through the fermentation of rice husk with the addition of bran and microbial activators (EM4/EMA), encompassing material mixing, moisture regulation, and fermentation for approximately 21 days. The results indicated that participants were able to understand and apply organic fertilizer production techniques and successfully produce fertilizer with physical characteristics such as darker color, fine texture, and crumbly structure. Furthermore, the activity had a positive impact on the utilization of agricultural waste and the enhancement of farmers’ capacity in managing local resources. In conclusion, the utilization of rice husk as organic fertilizer represents an effective strategy to support sustainable agriculture and strengthen farmer self-reliance.ABSTRAKPenggunaan pupuk anorganik secara intensif dalam jangka panjang berpotensi menurunkan kualitas tanah dan mengganggu keseimbangan ekosistem pertanian, sehingga diperlukan alternatif berbasis sumber daya lokal yang berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan anggota Kelompok Tani Wira Wanita Mandiri Desa Kolisia, Kecamatan Magepanda, dalam pemanfaatan sekam padi sebagai bahan baku pupuk organik. Metode yang digunakan meliputi penyuluhan, pelatihan, dan praktik langsung pembuatan pupuk organik dengan melibatkan 15 anggota kelompok tani. Proses pembuatan pupuk dilakukan melalui fermentasi sekam padi dengan penambahan dedak dan aktivator mikroorganisme (EM4/EMA), yang meliputi tahapan pencampuran bahan, pengaturan kadar air, dan fermentasi selama ±21 hari. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa peserta mampu memahami dan menerapkan teknik pembuatan pupuk organik, serta menghasilkan pupuk dengan karakteristik fisik berupa warna lebih gelap, tekstur halus, dan struktur remah. Selain itu, kegiatan ini memberikan dampak positif terhadap pemanfaatan limbah pertanian dan peningkatan kapasitas petani dalam pengelolaan sumber daya lokal. Kesimpulan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemanfaatan sekam padi sebagai pupuk organik merupakan strategi yang efektif dalam mendukung pertanian berkelanjutan dan meningkatkan kemandirian petani.

Abstract

This community service activity aimed to empower the Sehati Women Farmers Group in Magepanda Village through training on the production of Liquid Organic Fertilizer (LOF) derived from Kirinyuh leaves (Chromolaena odorata). The activity was motivated by farmers' high dependence on chemical fertilizers, which are relatively expensive and can degrade soil fertility over the long term. Meanwhile, Kirinyuh weeds, which are abundantly available in the surrounding environment, have not been optimally utilized. The implementation method consisted of preparation, material dissemination, practical demonstrations of LOF production, and evaluation. The LOF production process involved fermenting Kirinyuh leaves with the bioactivator EM4 and molasses. The results indicated an 80% increase in the partners’ knowledge and skills in processing weeds into value-added fertilizer. The participants were able to carry out all stages of liquid organic fertilizer production, from material chopping to fermentation, in accordance with established procedures. The training on producing Kirinyuh leaf-based LOF proved effective as an alternative for providing an economical and environmentally friendly fertilizer, while also supporting the implementation of sustainable agricultural systems in Magepanda Village.

Abstract

Sikka District is one of the areas experiencing a clean water crisis because only 5.23 % of people have access to clean water in 2020. Therefore, rainwater management will be carried out to obtain clean water using roof top rainwater harvesting technology. This study aims to calculate the potency of clean water that can be obtained from rainwater harvesting. Comparative descriptive analysis method was used to compare the data of clean water potency that can be obtained from rainwater harvesting with the data of clean water needs from the people in Sikka District in 2020. The results show that the potency of clean water that can be obtained from rainwater harvesting is 3,593961.6 m3/year or 3,593,961,600 liters/year and clean water needs of all the people is 17,626,927 m3/year or 17,626,927,000 liters/year. The people that gets clean water from rainwater harvesting is 20.38 % or as many as 65,615 people from the total population in Sikka District. This shows that the use of rainwater cannot meet the clean water needs of all people in Sikka Distric. There is a need for other sources of clean water that are bigger and can be used to meet the needs of all people.

Abstract

Penggunaan pestisida kimia secara berlebihan dalam sistem pertanian modern menimbulkan berbagai dampak negatif terhadap lingkungan, kesehatan manusia, serta menurunkan kualitas dan kesuburan tanah secara berkelanjutan. Residu bahan kimia yang terakumulasi dapat mencemari air dan tanah, mengganggu keseimbangan mikroorganisme tanah, serta meningkatkan risiko gangguan kesehatan bagi petani maupun konsumen. Salah satu alternatif ramah lingkungan adalah pemanfaatan Trichoderma sp. sebagai agen pengendali hayati yang mampu menghambat pertumbuhan patogen tular tanah sekaligus meningkatkan kesuburan tanah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan petani dalam melakukan perbanyakan massal Trichoderma sp. menggunakan media sederhana berbahan dedak dan beras melalui pelatihan pada Kelompok Tani Diat Dokang, Desa Tilang, Kecamatan Nita, Kabupaten Sikka. Metode yang digunakan meliputi penyuluhan partisipatif, diskusi, demonstrasi, serta praktik langsung. Tahapan kegiatan mencakup persiapan alat dan bahan, sterilisasi media melalui pengukusan, inokulasi starter, inkubasi, serta pengamatan pertumbuhan selama 14 hari. Hasil menunjukkan pada hari ke-4 terbentuk miselium putih, hari ke-7 berubah hijau akibat pembentukan konidia, dan hari ke-14 pertumbuhan mencapai 80% dengan warna hijau merata sehingga siap dipanen. Kegiatan ini meningkatkan pemahaman dan kemandirian petani dalam memproduksi agens hayati secara berkelanjutan, sekaligus mendukung penerapan pengendalian hama yang lebih aman dan ramah lingkungan. Program ini juga memperkuat kolaborasi antara penyuluh dan petani, mendorong adopsi teknologi sederhana, serta membuka peluang pengembangan usaha pupuk hayati skala rumah tangga yang bernilai ekonomis dan berdaya saing. Sebagai langkah awal pertanian berkelanjutan desa. Berbasis kearifan lokal masyarakat setempat.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the income level of tomato farming in Hepang Village, Lela District, Sikka Regency. The research was conducted in December 2022 using a survey method. The population in this study consisted of all tomato farmers in Hepang Village, totaling 11 people. The sampling technique used was saturated sampling (census), in which all members of the population were used as research respondents. The data used consisted of primary data obtained through direct interviews with farmers using questionnaires and secondary data obtained from relevant institutions. The data analysis methods used were cost analysis, revenue analysis, and farm income analysis. The results showed that the average production cost of tomato farming was IDR 6,038,611, consisting of fixed costs of IDR 435,429 and variable costs of IDR 5,603,182. The average tomato production obtained by farmers was 1,170 kg with a selling price of IDR 10,000 per kg, resulting in total revenue of IDR 11,700,000. Based on these results, the net income of tomato farming was IDR 5,661,389 per planting season. These results indicate that tomato farming in Hepang Village is profitable and feasible to be developed as a source of income for farmers.

Abstract

This research was conducted in Masebewa Village, Paga District, Sikka Regency, in December 2022. The objective of this study was to determine the amount of income and the relative profit obtained by cocoa farmers. The results showed that the cropping pattern applied by the respondent farmers was a mixed cropping pattern, in which cocoa plants were cultivated together with other crops such as cloves, coconut, candlenut, jackfruit, and vanilla. The average production of cocoa farming obtained by the respondent farmers consisted of 507.11 kg of dried cocoa beans and 397 kg of semi-dried cocoa beans in one production cycle. To carry out the farming activities, farmers incurred an average total cost of IDR 320,270.27 and obtained a total revenue of IDR 9,332,432.43. Thus, the total profit obtained by the respondent farmers in one production cycle was IDR 9,012,162.16. These results indicate that cocoa farming provides a significant contribution to supporting the income and welfare of farmers and their families in Masebewa Village.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the income level of farmers who implement an intercropping system of chili and tomato in Ladogahar Village, Nita District, Sikka Regency, and to examine the internal and external factors influencing farm income. In addition, this study evaluates the efficiency of the intercropping system in improving productivity and farmers’ profits. The research used a case study method by directly observing field conditions and conducting interviews with farmers. The sampling technique applied was saturated sampling, in which the entire population was used as the research sample. The results show that the chili and tomato intercropping farming system in Ladogahar Village provides relatively high profits for farmers. The average total production cost incurred in this farming system is Rp 21,075,000 per planting season, while the average revenue obtained reaches Rp 61,200,000 per planting season. Thus, the average income earned by farmers from this intercropping system is Rp 40,125,000 per planting season, which is derived from the difference between total revenue and total production costs during the cultivation process. Based on the feasibility analysis, the chili and tomato intercropping farming system practiced in Erik Fram, Ladogahar Village, is considered feasible to develop. This is indicated by the R/C Ratio value of 2.90, meaning that every Rp 1 of production cost generates Rp 2.90 in revenue. Furthermore, the B/C Ratio value of 1.89 indicates that the profit obtained is greater than the total costs incurred. Therefore, the chili and tomato intercropping farming system has promising prospects and can provide significant economic benefits for farmers.

Abstract

Sorghum (Sorghum bicolor L) is a versatile plant that can be used as a food source, animal feed and industrial raw materials. The main problems of sorghum development in Adonara District, especially in Sago Village, are the low comparative and competitive advantage value of sorghum, post-harvest handling is still difficult, and sorghum farming at the farmer level has not been intensified. This study aims to determine the response of farmer group members to the development of sorghum plants. The method used in this study is a survey method with a quantitative approach. The sample used was a saturated sample of 30 people, and the data analysis used a Likert scale and multiple linear regression. The results showed that the response as motivation (X1) with an average score of 4.23, the response as perception with an average score of 4.06, the response as a behavior with an average score of 4.13 and the development of sorghum (Y) with an average score of 4.72. The F test counted 19,415 and T test count 10,715 With this, it can be concluded that the response as motivation, perception and behavior of farmers has a significant influence on the development of sorghum
