Abstract

The earthquake disaster in Cianjur regency, West Java, Indonesia, measuring 5.6 on the Richter scale on November 21, 2022, caused massive damage. Therefore, the Community Self-Reliance Activity (CSRA) of the University of Persada Indonesia YAI is conducting economic empowerment activities as a strategy to recover the condition of rural communities affected by the earthquake.This research aims to describe how village communities interpret the activities conducted by the Community Self-Reliance Activity (CSRA) of the University of Persada Indonesia YAI to strengthen village communities affected by the earthquake disaster.This research uses the paradigm of interpretive phenomenology with a qualitative descriptive approach. The result of this study is that informants indicated positive behaviors in the course of activities. Informants interpreted economic empowerment as activities that benefit, educate, entertain, and motivate village communities affected by the earthquake to wake up from the downturn.

Abstract

This paper explores effectively utilize digital technology for a campaign or communication. A solid algorithm-driven approach can be implemented to ensure data-driven decisions, targeted messaging, and high engagement. Citizens can easily actively disseminate political issues through existing social media platforms. This research uses descriptive research with a qualitative approach with a literature study approach. The data collection technique in this research is to conduct a literature search that is current and compatible with the research theme.  The results of the study show that social media plays an important role in political participation in the digital era. Digital technology can also trigger opinion polarization.  Political participation in the digital era has positive impacts and real challenges that must be addressed properly and wisely. Awareness of digital literacy and being critical are the main keys to maintaining inclusive political participation in this digital age. Collect data from social media, surveys, website analytics, and polling. Ensure that the data collected adheres to privacy and data protection regulations. Use machine learning algorithms like k-means clustering to segment the audience based on demographic, psychographic, geographic, and behavioral factors. Based on the segmentation, create voter personas (such as "young urban voters" or "female first-time voters") to tailor campaign messages effectively. Use natural language processing (NLP) to analyze sentiments around PSI and specific campaign topics. This will help identify areas of improvement and potential voter concerns. Employ tools like IBM Watson or Google Cloud Natural Language to monitor conversations around key issues and track public sentiment in real time.

Abstract

Bengkulu City has various historical, cultural and natural tourism assets, this has allowed Bengkulu City to become a tourism city. The internet penetration rate of Indonesia's population continues to increase from year to year. However, the regional government of Bengkulu City has not read the opportunities for digital marketing platforms and made branding efforts for the Bengkulu tourism sector. This study aims to determine the digital marketing branding communication strategy for Bengkulu city tourism destinations. The research approach used is a qualitative approach based on the philosophy of postpositivism. This research is a case study research using the concept of AISAS theory which consists of Attention, Interest, Search, Action and share. The results of this study state that digital marketing communications carried out by the Bengkulu government focus on creating marketing content to create tourist attraction through social media. Image quality, content content, content duration and words in the content are important parts that must be considered. In addition, it is known that the creation of digital marketing content requires quite a lot of effort so that the content is of high quality and attractive, it is necessary to have human resources with special digital skills and a qualified team of creators.
