Abstract

The Medical Record Information System (SIRM) will simplify the patient health examination process with integrated access to medical record data, thereby reducing the error rate in the examination process. Research objectives: To find out how the electronic medical record system is implemented in nursing in the outpatient unit of RSUD Haji Makassar. This research is a type of quantitative research that uses a cross-sectional study design approach. The sample for this study consisted of 80 nurses who worked in the outpatient unit of RSUD Haji Makassar. the implementation of an electronic medical record system is seen from work expectations, business expectations, social influence and facility conditions. Work expectations will simplify the process of documenting nursing care, business expectations will make it easier or reduce individual efforts to do work, social influences are more about how they influence behavioral decisions and facility conditions will maintain patient efficiency, safety and quality Keywords: work expectations, business expectations, social influence, facility conditions

Abstract

Stunting is a problem of growth and development in young children. Stunting in Indonesia is still above the threshold set by WHO, which is 21.6%. The prevalence in South Sulawesi reaches 27.2%, and the district with a high prevalence is Jeneponto Regency, with a percentage of 39.8%. This case-control study aimed to analyze the risk factors for stunting in children aged 6-24 months in Bontomatene Village, Jeneponto Regency, South Sulawesi, Indonesia. The study was conducted from January to February 2024, with a sample of 51 participants (17 cases, 34 controls). Data were collected using a questionnaire and analyzed using the chi-square test. The results showed that maternal height (p=0.006) and low birth weight (p=0.006) were significant risk factors for stunting, while the culture of food taboos was not a risk factor (p=0.333). To address the risk factors, the study recommends ensuring balanced nutrition in the first 1,000 days of life, promoting exclusive breastfeeding, and monitoring the growth and nutritional status of children under five. Additionally, providing education to families with food taboos to encourage a positive attitude towards diverse, nutritious foods is crucial.

Abstract

Breakfast is a source of energy needed to carry out activities at school. Based on consumption analysis data. Based on consumption data analysis of 35,000 school-aged children in Indonesia, it shows that almost half (44.6%) of children who eat breakfast only get less than (15%) energy intake. of the nutritional needs that should be met (15-30%) in a day. The aim of this research was to determine the effect of breakfast education using the Uno block game on the level of knowledge and attitudes of West Bangkala State 9 elementary school children. This type of research is quasi experimental with a one group pre-test and post-test design in West Bangkala 9th state elementary school. The research was carried out on January 10 2024. The sampling method used a total sampling technique with all 27 class V students and 33 class VI students. The variables in this research are knowledge and attitudes about breakfast, collected by filling out a questionnaire. Data analysis uses statistical tests, namely the Wilcoxon test. The results of the research revealed the level of knowledge of the sample before being given education (50.9%), the level of knowledge of the sample after being given education (100%). Attitudes before being given education (69.1%) and attitude levels after being given education (100%). The average knowledge score before education (53.45%) and after education (79.45%). The average attitude value before education (62.54) and after education (78.90%). Statistical analysis shows that there is a difference in knowledge before and after being given education (p=0.000) and statistical analysis shows that there is a difference in attitudes before and after being given education (p=0.000). It is recommended that for further research, further research can be carried out using Uno beam media in the target group, namely children and teenagers.

Abstract

Vegetables and fruits consumption in adolescents is very important and contains many nutrients such as vitamins, minerals and fiber in achieving a healthy lifestyle with balanced nutrition. Some vitamins and minerals contained in vegetables and fruits have antioxidant functions that can reduce the incidence of non-communicable diseases associated with nutrition, as a result of overweight or malnutrition. Vegetables and fruits are also rich in vitamins and minerals that play a role in the metabolic system in the body including energy metabolism. The aim of this study is to analysis the relationship vegetable and fruit consumption with the incidence of obesity in SMA Negeri 1 Mamuju 2016. Design of this study is analytic research with cros sectional approach. Samples are 280 students of SMU Negeri 1 Kabupaten Mamuju with sampling method by systematic random sampling. The results of the research for the consumption of vegetable category is quite as many as 114 people (40.7%) and less vegetable consumption of 166 people (59.3%). Chi-square test results obtained p > ​​0.05, there is no relationship between vegetable consumption with the incidence of obesity. For the consumption of enough fruits as many as 92 people (32.9%) and less fruit consumption of 188 people (67.1%). Chi-square test results obtained p value > 0.05 , there is no relationship between fruit consumption with the incidence of obesity. Suggestions in this study is the need for intensive information about the importance of healthy lifestyles and balanced nutrition for adolescents to achieve the ideal body weight.

Abstract

Anemia merupakan kondisi yang terjadi akibat kekurangan sel darah merah dan sangat umum ditemukan di masyarakat, terutama pada remaja putri. Kekurangan zat besi sebagai penyebab utama anemia sering kali dipicu oleh kurangnya asupan nutrisi yang seimbang. Sekitar 30% wanita di seluruh dunia mengalami anemia, dan kondisi ini berisiko lebih tinggi terjadi pada remaja putri karena dapat menyebabkan penurunan daya tahan tubuh dan meningkatkan kerentanan terhadap berbagai masalah kesehatan. Selain itu, anemia pada masa remaja juga berdampak jangka panjang, terutama bagi calon ibu, seperti meningkatkan risiko komplikasi saat kehamilan dan persalinan, termasuk kelahiran bayi dengan berat lahir rendah (BBLR), asfiksia, hingga kematian neonatal. Ibu hamil yang mengalami anemia juga berisiko tinggi mengalami perdarahan saat melahirkan. Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut, dilakukan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat di SMA 1 Muhammadiyah UNISMUH Makassar dengan sasaran utama adalah siswi remaja putri. Solusi yang ditawarkan dalam pengabdian ini meliputi skrining anemia, pemberian penyuluhan tentang pentingnya menjaga kesehatan remaja bebas anemia, distribusi tablet tambah darah (TTD), serta pengukuran antropometri untuk menilai status gizi peserta. Empat metode utama digunakan dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan ini, yaitu pengukuran antropometri, uji laboratorium sederhana, edukasi kesehatan, serta pemberian kuesioner pretest dan posttest untuk mengevaluasi peningkatan pengetahuan peserta. Hasil yang dicapai menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan dalam pengetahuan dan pemahaman siswi terkait anemia dan upaya pencegahannya. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat berlangsung lancar sesuai rencana yang telah disusun dan mendapat respon positif dari pihak sekolah serta peserta. Hasil pengabdian ini memberikan kontribusi penting dalam meningkatkan pemahaman remaja putri tentang anemia, faktor risiko yang dapat dicegah, serta pentingnya konsumsi tablet tambah darah sebagai upaya pencegahan dini. Melalui kegiatan ini, diharapkan dapat turut mendukung peningkatan status gizi dan kesehatan reproduksi remaja, yang pada akhirnya akan berdampak positif terhadap kualitas generasi muda dan masa depan bangsa. Abstract

Teenage girls are a group that is vulnerable to anemia due to low iron intake in their daily diet. According to data from the Health Department of Makassar City, the prevalence of anemia among adolescent girls reached 3.98% of the total 4,788 individuals. To date, anemia prevention efforts have primarily focused on iron supplements. However, this approach often faces challenges such as low compliance rates with supplement intake, gastrointestinal side effects, and a lack of practical nutrition education. Therefore, an innovative and sustainable strategy is needed through a functional food approach based on local resources. One potential alternative snack food is churros, a light snack that can be enriched with moringa leaf flour and anchovy flour as natural sources of protein and iron. This study aims to analyze the protein and iron content in churros products formulated with moringa leaf flour and anchovy flour substitutes. This study used a pre-experimental design with a post-test only design. The study was conducted at the Makassar Health Laboratory Center. Protein content was tested using the Micro Kjeldahl method, and iron content was analyzed using Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry (AAS). The results showed that the protein content in churros was 0.4186 grams per 4 grams of sample, equivalent to 10.465 grams per 100 grams. The iron content reached 0.1704 mg per 4 grams or 4.26 mg per 100 grams of product. It is recommended that further research focus on optimizing the processing to maintain protein quality and analyzing other nutrient contents as part of the development of local functional food-based churros products. Abstract

Remaja putri merupakan kelompok usia yang sedang memasuki masa penting karena pada masa ini terjadi peralihan dari masa anak-anak menjadi dewasa. Masalah gizi yang sering di hadapi remaja putri saat ini adalah masalah gizi kurang. Gizi kurang pada remaja putri disebabkan ketidak seimbangan antara asupan energi dan kebutuhan. Factor yang dapat menyebabkan rendahnya asupan energi adalah rendahnya pengetahuan gizi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran edukasi implementasi makan yang baik pada remaja putri terhadap asupan energi dan pengetahuan gizi. Sampel dalam penelitian ini yaitu remaja putri yang berjumlah 54 orang dipilih secara acak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terjadi penurunan asupan energi kurang sebesar 58% dari 89% menjadi 31% setelah pemberian edukasi (p = 0,001). Pengetahuan gizi meningkat sebesar 15% (p= 0,002). Saran untuk remaja putri agar  meningkatkan pengetahuan gizi serta  dapat menerapkan implementasi makan yang baik  yang  mengacu pada gizi seimbang untuk remaja putri.

Abstract

Pendahuluan: Stunting masih menjadi masalah gizi utama di Indonesia, ditandai dengan gangguan pertumbuhan linear dan perkembangan anak. Intervensi berbasis makanan tambahan bergizi dan dapat diterima anak merupakan strategi penting. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan produk pangan fungsional "Pinky Pancake" berbasis bahan lokal bergizi pisang raja, kacang merah, dan ikan teri, serta menilai daya terimanya pada panelis mahasiswa. Metodologi: Penelitian ini merupakan eksperimental dengan tiga formulasi bahan. Daya terima diuji secara organoleptik terhadap 100 panelis menggunakan uji hedonik skala 1–5 dan dianalisis secara statistik. Hasil: Formulasi terbaik (F3: 10:25:15) menunjukkan skor tertinggi dari aspek warna dan rasa. Kandungan gizi Pinky Pancake per resep menghasilkan energi 596,3 kkal, protein 21,2 g, lemak 18 g, dan karbohidrat 89,3gr. Pinky Pancake berpotensi sebagai alternatif makanan tambahan untuk balita dalam upaya pencegahan stunting. Kesimpulan: Penambahan ikan teri berkontribusi pada kandungan protein dan kalsium produk tanpa mengurangi daya terima secara signifikan

Abstract

Cancer is a cell that has lost its normal control and mechanism, resulting in irregular growth. Cancer can occur from various tissues in various organs in line with the growth and development of cancer cells - cancer cells form a mass of malignant tissue that infiltrates nearby tissues and can spread (mentastasis) throughout the body. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of hormonal contraceptive use on the incidence of breast cancer in patients at Dr. Wahidin Sudirohusodo Ujung Pandang Hospital Makassar. This research method is observational research with case control study design. Where case control is an analytic study that concerns how risk factors are studied using a retrospective approach. The results obtained Odds ratio value = 0.75. In addition, it was also obtained a lower limit value of 0.36% and an upper limit value of 1.38 at a 95% confidence level (95% C1). Conclusion that the use of hormonal contraceptive is not an influence on the incidence of breast cancer (large OR: 0.42 with a lower limit value of 0.17 and an Upper limit value of 2.50) is a protective factor for the incidence of breast cancer.
