Abstract

Mathematics is very important lesson to learn by students. But, in the reality most of the students are get low result in mathematics. One of the problem is the weakness of the skill to communicate the ideas systematically. It caused by the mathematical writing skill students and it is part of communication aspect that has not developed yet optimally. One of teaching alternative it can be used to increase the mathematical writing skill students is teaching collaborative through Writing from A Prompt (WfAP) strategy and Writing in Performance Tasks (WiPT) strategy. The purpose of this research is to know the influence of collaborative teaching through WfAP strategy and through WiPT strategy to the increase of mathematical writing skill at junior high school students. This method use experiment research and the data analysis of this research use test one way ANOVA and test Scheffe. Based on the data analysis it can be conclude that there are the differences between the mathematical writing skill students who get collaborative teaching through WfAPstrategy, collaborative teaching through WiPTstrategy, and convensional teaching. The mathematical writing skill students who get collaborative teaching through WfAP strategy and collaborative teaching through WiPTstrategy better than convensional teaching.

Abstract

Abstract This research is a descriptive study that aims to determine students’ problem solving abilites after using the SSCS learning model. The subjects of this study were 25 students of class VIII MTs Persis 72 Gunung Buntung. The learning process is carried out in accordance with the SSCS learning steps. The collection technique used tests and interviews. Based on the research result, it was foud that the percentage of students who had the ability to solve problem very well was 20%, the percentage of students who had good problem solving abilities was 72%, the percentage of students with sufficient problem-solving abilities 8%. Meanwhile, the highest percentage of problem solving ability indikator is identifying the coverage of data to solve the problem of 89,33%. Meanwhile, the lowest percentage of problem solving ability indicatoris checking the correctness of the results or answers by 64,32%. Keywords: Problem Solving Abilites, Learning Model, Search Solve Create Share, Abstrak Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa setelah menggunakan model pembelajaran SSCS. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII MTs Persis 72 Gunung Buntung berjumlah 25 orang. Proses pembelajaran yang dilaksanakan sesuai dengan langkah pembelajaran SSCS. Teknik pengumpulan yang digunakan tes dan wawancara. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diperoleh persentase siswa yang memiliki kemampuan pemecahkan masalah dengan sangat baik sebesar 20%, persentase siswa yang memiliki kemampuan pemecahan masalah dengan baik sebesar 72%, persentase siswa dengan kemampuan pemecahan masalah cukup sebesar 8%. Sedangkan persentase indikator kemampuan pemecahan masalah paling tinggi adalah mengidentifikasi kecakupan data untuk memecahkan masalah sebesar 89,33 %. Sedangkan Persentase indikator kemampuan pemecahan masalah paling rendah adalah Memeriksa kebenaran hasil atau jawaban sebesar 64,32%. Abstract

This study aims to describe the digital literacy of prospective mathematics teachers who are conducting web-based learning in the new normal era. This research is classified as a qualitative descriptive research, data collected through surveys and interviews. The research subjects were 4th semester students of the mathematics education study program. Subjects were taken using purposive sampling technique for filling out the questionnaire and then 5 students were randomly selected to be interviewed. The results showed that the digital literacy of prospective mathematics teachers in web-based learning in the new normal era was quite good, this was evidenced by the results of student questionnaires which showed positive categories on each indicator. In addition, the cumulative percentage of students on the indicator of basic ability to use the internet (81.08%), on the indicator of the ability to seek and obtain information (75.32%), on the indicator of skills in choosing frequently used information sources (59.49%) and cumulative percentage of ability to use information effectively (81.87%). This is reinforced by the results of interviews with students which showed that the five students were able to achieve these four indicators.

Abstract

Pembelajaran yang kondusif dan menyenangkan dalam revolusi industri 4.0 membuat perubahan dalam gaya belajar dalam proses pembelajaran. Guru dituntut untuk mengikuti proses pembelajaran digital interaktif. Sehingga salah satu tantangan bagi guru dan pengembang teknologi pembelajaran untuk berinovasi adalah menciptakan pembelajaran yang menyenangkan dan tidak membosankan bagi siswa. Pelatihan penyusunan bahan ajar berbasis Web bagi guru matematika bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan dan pengetahuan guru dalam mengembangkan bahan ajar berbasis web yang sesuai dengn kurikulum dan kebutuhan siswa. Pelatihan ini dilakukan melalui metode peer-teaching model pembelajaran interaktif, Menyusun bahan belajar, Mengemas menjadi bahan belajar on-line. Hasil yang diperoleh setelah melaksanakan kegiatan ini yaitu terdapat peningkatan kemampuan teknologi guru dalam menyusun bahan ajar berbasis web sebagian besar guru matematika SMP di kabupaten Pandeglang menyatakan bahwa hanya kadang-kadang dalam menggunakan teknologi dalam pembelajaran, mereka hanya kadang-kadang menggunakan bahan ajar berbasis Web, namun 80% sudah pernah menggunakan bahan ajar berbasis Web. Tapi tidak satupun dari mereka yang pernah mendesain game pembelajaran matematika di Web. Peserta pelatihan ada yang pernah menggunakan canva dan heyzine, Capcut, dan PPT di WPS HP sedangkan menggunakan game pembelajaran berbasis Web 80% yang tidak pernah menggunakan dan hanya 20% yang sudah pernah menggunakan. Respon peserta pelatihan terkait pelaksanaan kegiatan pelatihan ini menunjukkan bahwa 90% guru menyatakan materi yang disampaiakan sangat menarik (10% menarik) dan semua peserta menyatakan bahwa kegiatan pelatihan ini dapat meningkatkan keterampilan penggunaan teknologi dalam pembelajaran dan membantu untuk meningkatkan profesionalisme guru. Conducive and enjoyable learning in the industrial revolution 4.0 makes changes in learning styles in the learning process. Teachers are required to follow the interactive digital learning process. So one of the challenges for teachers and learning technology developers to innovate is to create learning that is fun and not boring for students. Training on preparing Web-based teaching materials for mathematics teachers aims to improve teachers' skills and knowledge in developing web-based teaching materials that suit the curriculum and student needs. This training is carried out through peer-teaching methods, interactive learning models, compiling learning materials, packaging them into on-line learning materials. The results obtained after carrying out this activity were that there was an increase in teachers' technological abilities in compiling web-based teaching materials. Most of the junior high school mathematics teachers in Pandeglang district stated that they only sometimes used technology in learning, they only sometimes used Web-based teaching materials, However, 80% have used Web-based teaching materials. But none of them had ever designed a math learning game on the Web. Some of the training participants have used Canva and Heyzine, Capcut, and PPT on WPS HP, while 80% have never used Web-based learning games and only 20% have used them. Responses from training participants regarding the implementation of this training activity showed that 90% of teachers stated that the material presented was very interesting (10% interesting) and all participants stated that this training activity could improve skills in using technology in learning and help to increase teacher professionalism.

Abstract

Mahasiswa calon guru matematika masih mengalami kesulitan memahami materi kalkulus integral yang merupakan mata kuliah wajib dan prasyarat mata kuliah lainnya. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk menganalisis kesalahan-kesalahan hasil belajar mahasiswa pada mata kuliah kalkulus integral. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan subjek sebanyak 3 mahasiswa program studi pendidikan matematika. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik tes hasil belajar kalkulus integral dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jenis kesalahan terbesar dalam hasil belajar mahasiswwa pada mata kuliah kalkulus integral terletak pada kesalahan menggunakan konsep matematika 56.25%, sedangkan kesalahan prosedur  sebesar 54,17% dan kesalahan komputasi 45,83%. Adapun penyebab dari kesalahan tersebut karena mahasiswa tidak memahami dengan baik konsep dari penyelesaian materi kalkulus integral, kurang menguasainya materi-materi awal kalkulus oleh mahasiswa, kemampuan mahasiswa dalam menterjemahkan simbol-simbol matematika yang masih kurang, mahasiswa yang masih mengandalkan cara hafalan untuk mengingat rumus dan langkah-langkah dalam penyelesaian soal, serta ketidaktelitian mahasiswa dalam mengerjakan soal

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis antara siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran model Search, Solve, Create, and Share (SSCS) dengan siswa yang mendapatkan model pembelajaran konvensional. Berpikir kritis merupakan berpikir secara langsung terhadap sesuatu yang dituju atau sebagai kegiatan mengevaluasi dan mempertimbangkan sebuah kesimpulan yang akan diambil dari beberapa faktor pendukung untuk membuat suatu keputusan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Quasi Experimental dengan desain penelitian nonequivalent control grup design dengan Sampel penelitian yang terdiri dari dua kelas. Sampel dipilih dengan menggunakan teknik Purposive Sampling dengan berbagai pertimbangan tertentu. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas X.7 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas X.8 sebagai kelas kontrol. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa rata-rata persentase N-gain pada kelas eksperimen yakni sebesar 61,34%. Berdasarkan hasil rata-rata pesentase N-gain penggunaan model Search, Solve, Create, and Share (SSCS) pada kelas eksperimen masuk dalam kategori cukup efektif. Sedangkan rata-rata persentase N-gain pada kelas kontrol sebesar 45,85%. Hal tersebut menunjukan bahwa penggunaan model konvensional pada kelas kontrol masuk dalam kategori kurang efektif. Berdasarkan hasil data persentase N-gain pada kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol di atas dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis antara siswa yang mendapat pembelajaran menggunakan model Search, Solve, Create and Share (SSCS) dengan siswa yang mendapat model pembelajaran konvensional.

Abstract

Abstrak: Matematika merupakan mata pelajaran yang sangat penting untuk dipelajari oleh siswa. Tetapi, pada kenyataannya masih banyak siswa yang hasil belajar matematikanya rendah. Salah satu penyebabnya adalah lemahnya kemampuan mengkomunikasikan ide-ide/gagasan secara tertulis pada saat diberikan soal-soal uraian yang jawabannya harus dijelaskan secara sistematis. Hal itu disebabkan oleh kemampuan menulis matematis siswa yang merupakan bagian dari aspek komunikasi belum dikembangkan secara optimal. Salah satu alternatif pembelajaran yang dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menulis matematis siswa adalah dengan pembelajaran kolaboratif melalui strategi Writing from A Prompt (WfAP) dan strategi Writing in Performance Tasks (WiPT). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran kolaboratif melalui strategi WfAP dan strategi WiPT terhadap peningkatan kemampuan menulis matematis siswa SMP. Menurut metodenya, penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan uji ANOVA satu jalur dan uji Scheffe. Berdasarkan analisis data hasil penelitian, diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa ada perbedaan kemampuan menulis matematis siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran kolaboratif melalui strategi WfAP, pembelajaran kolaboratif melalui strategi WiPT, dan pembelajaran konvensional. Kemampuan menulis matematis siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran kolaboratif melalui strategi WfAP dan pembelajaran kolaboratif melalui strategi WiPT lebih baik dari siswa yang belajar dengan menggunakan pendekatan konvensional. Abstract: Mathematics is a very important lesson to learn by students. Abstract

This research aims to determine and obtain actual data on the types of epistemological learning obstacles in solving probability story problems. This study was motivated by the low learning outcomes of students in solving probability story problems. The research uses a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques, including written tests, interviews, and documentation. Based on the analysis of the written test, interviews, and documentation data, it was found that out of 20 students who took the learning obstacle test, 11 scored below 60. The percentage of students who scored below the minimum completion criteria was 55%. These obstacles include errors in understanding the problem concept, errors in selecting and using solution procedures, errors in writing answers, and errors in operational techniques. It indicates that half of the students who took the learning obstacle test on probability story problems still experience learning obstacles, particularly epistemological obstacles, in solving such issues. It is reinforced by analysis and in-depth interviews with three vocational students that these students still participate in epistemological obstacles ranging from conceptual, procedural, and technical operational obstacles.

Abstract

Efforts to improve the quality of education continue to be carried out systematically. This educational renewal is a conscious effort that is deliberately carried out with the aim of seriously improving educational practice but the current reality shows that in the field of education we still face problems, namely the low quality of output produced. Likewise in the learning process in class. Teachers often face students who have low learning motivation, which also affects their low learning achievement. Another fact also shows that the teaching methods of teachers in the classroom tend to be monotonous and do not vary. Based on this background, the researchers compiled this research with the aim of: 1) To determine the increase in mathematics learning outcomes about fractions through Problem Solving at SDN Cimanuk 1, Cimanuk District. 2) To improve teacher professionalism and performance. The subjects in this study were 24 grade IV students with details of 13 women and 11 women. The results of this study indicate an increase in student learning outcomes from each cycle, seen from the initial cycle only 13 students or 54.2% who completed learning, after the improvement in cycle I increased to 19 students or 79.2%, as well as the second cycle. significantly increased to 24 students or 100% who complete the study. This shows that Problem Solving can improve student learning outcomes in mathematics about fractions of class IV odd semester SDN Cimanuk 1, Cimanuk District, Pandeglang Regency

Abstract

This study aims to describe students' mathematical communication skills through the Auditory Interlectual Repetition learning model. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The subject in this study consisted of 3 students of class VIII SMP IT Mathla'un Nawakartika of each student's initial ability level. While data collection is done by test and interview method. Data analysis techniques, namely data reduction, data presentation, and verification. The results of the research show that: the mathematical communication skills of eighth grade students of SMP IT Mathla'un Nawakartika are in the medium category. High-ability students are able to master all indicators with a percentage of 100%. Moderately capable students are able to fulfill two indicators with a percentage of 75%. Low-ability students are not able to meet the three indicators of mathematical communication skills so that they get a percentage of 31.25%. The data is strengthened from the results of interviews that explore more in-depth information from the three research subjects. the average student meets the second indicator.
