Abstract

Acquisitions are critical for banks seeking to increase their market presence in the evolving Islamic financial landscape. This study examines the strategic potential of Bank B Syariah's acquisition of Bank V Syariah. Then this study focuses on market expansion, product innovation, and operational efficiency. This study uses a mixed method. Data are derived from financial reports, industry trends, and regulations of the Financial Services Authority in Indonesia. The results show that the acquisition expanded Bank B Syariah's network by 25%, added 15 new Sharia-compliant products, and increased efficiency through economies of scale. In addition, there are significant challenges: post-merger risk management, aligning the Islamic compliance framework, and integrating different technology infrastructures. As an implication, three main strategies must be carried out: a gradual consolidation process to align organizational culture, strengthening Sharia governance through an independent supervisory board, and adopting digital technology to support integration and improve customer service. This study contributes to understanding the complexity of mergers in Islamic banking.

Abstract

The Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries prioritizes measured fishing policy. The shift from pre-production to post-production fishing policy is unprecedented in Indonesia. The initial fisheries product levy (PHP) is now paid after the fishing operation based on fish species and amount. The Measured Fishing (PIT) mandated in Government Regulation 11 of 20203 has unnerved fishing businesses. The Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries of Indonesia issued Circular (SE) B.1954/MEN-KP/XI/2023 to allow fishing vessels to tranship their catches at sea. This study employed SWOT. SWOT analysis plans outcomes. S is strength, W is weakness, O is opportunity, T is threat. This study used SWOT analysis to recommend using a good Fishing Vessel Monitoring System to help the Measured Fishing Program (MFP) to catch fish effectively and legally. The PIT program manages and regulates fishing to not exceed available resources and prevent illegal or detrimental fishing, improves port infrastructure to reduce IUU fishing with a stricter reporting system, improves catch data accuracy by using new technology to monitor and record fish types and numbers, and improves policy implementation and supervision to prevent climate change from harming mariculture. Key words: transhipment, Measured Fishing Program (MFP), post-production

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of Total Quality Management (TQM) using the Fishbone Diagram approach to improve the quality of education. Utilizing a literature review method, this research examines various scholarly sources on quality management tools, such as Shewhart Control Chart, Flow Chart, SWOT Analysis, and Fishbone Diagram, and their relevance to the education sector. TQM is seen as an effective paradigm for creating a culture of continuous quality improvement in educational institutions, while the Fishbone Diagram serves as a visual analysis tool that helps identify the root causes of problems affecting educational quality. The results show that this integrated approach can enhance the efficiency, effectiveness, and quality of education by systematically identifying core issues, such as low-quality educators, limited infrastructure, and lack of student motivation. The Fishbone Diagram also enables educational institutions to map contributing factors in a structured manner and find relevant solutions. By combining TQM principles and Fishbone Diagram analysis, educational institutions can meet established quality standards and foster innovations that support national educational goals
